Incredible day in WALES! SOLO MOTORCYCLE TRIP UK - Snowdonia Park, Devil's Staircase - Desert X
never did I think that I would be doing this good morning um just finishing up on some breakfast and even a cup of tea so that's nice today I will be um riding back to Snowdonia Pen-Y-Pass Crimea pass uh Devil's staircase, Llyn Brianne Dam so lots to explore it's a bit rainy at the moment it's supposed to be uh getting better today so hopefully the weather plays out um if not I have some really nice moody content I left Holyhead with strong winds and drizzle and looking into the distance I had hopes it would be dry when I reached Snowdonia national park in an hour And so I decided to just continue with my original route and see where it may take me I was in no rush and luckily I didn't have any traffic around me Enchanted by the beauty of Wales, even in this rain I kept looking to my sides and I just simply couldn't believe that I was so close to home with these views This is why you should always be carefull after it rains as a motorcyclist because this [ __ ] can make you crash really really bad Ohhh, Pen-y-Pass, I really really wanted to look around here but um it's just not gonna happen hi sorry to interrupt, sorry to interrupt is it only this bit that is closed um you're a lady are you? - sorry? you're a girl are you? - yeah yeah not really noticeable right now but I don't want to uh.. but I don't know if it's only this bit that is closed or also the road that goes up? - where do you wanna go? I can't see, where do you want to go to? Ehh, eventually Llyn Brianne Dam but I need to go up here and then to the left but is that road open? - yeah, that's open! you can go up here you can squeeze through there Yeah is that no problem? - I can't sit on the back can I? Well, no I removed the pegs - You come from The Netherlans? Where, where about? Around Amsterdam - Amsterdam! - What's the make of this bike? It's a Ducati! Desert X They should be blue though! - Oh no, it should be yellow is it comfortable? - Yeah very yeah, you ride yourself? - Yeah yeah watch out with the leaning on the, yeah I don't have the longest leg so yeah okay pose take a pose that one is on too! you take it easy - I will, have a good day We will, you have good English haven't you? - It's okay yeah, I can manage I can manage it's all I need so.. all right um - give us a wheelie up here! - if I do that I'll come rolling back down uh have a good day thank you very much Hiya! they said I could pass here is that all right? Have a good day I passed some nice roads on the Crimea pass, but once again all in pretty bad weather so I just continued on my way and I found some nice scenery later on My chin camera ran empty so I had the brilliant idea of stopping... after the cattle grid I was A-Okay and I thought might as well take my time to soak up the views cheesecake and a nice coffee how's the cheesecake? - GOOD!! oh delicious! - It is so freshly made After three hours of rain riding this is - yeah just what you need - yeah! although the weather was [ __ ] I had a great time I spotted this nice road and turned around to have a closer look eventually it turned out to be a dead end road leading up to a farm with a closed gate while I'm heading back to my bike um my camera has a new update called Auto Capture and I really want to try it so it's supposed to be recording me while I arrive, when I like enter the frame hopefully it works and the camera will recognize my vehicle because I set it on vehicle recognition hopefully it did capture me okay I did something like I am gonna master this because it is such a cool feature for when I'm traveling alone anyway it's gonna be raining nonetheless so maybe just make the best of it it may not surprise you that a five-day trip is way too short for me because I could spend countless hours alone in places like this The serenity here is unmatched Straight! almost there Welcome to Devil's Staircase! This is it then oh it's so steep! Really nice well that was it I might get the drone out again I must not forget that it's also 25 degrees decrease Should be good right? hooo man I was on the road behind me and I did not think that the last bit of today was going to be off-road but I mean there is a sign police operating in this area offending motorbikes will be seized now I don't think I'm a motocrosser and I will not be going that fast so uh, let just give it a try very doable okay my corners are not so good yet why does it feel so scary it's so stupid I know the bike is so capable just my own fear that's getting in the way never did I think that I would be doing this but man what a road, what a road! I'm so happy I did it [ __ ] that comfort zone this is what I should be doing more and I'm just ah really happy that I didn't turn around because initially I really wanted to turn around and just take the pavement but uh this is where you learn now I'm really going well, guess what.. this one is locked from the inside, [....] hell it's not a lightweight engine or anything I did practice walking with the bike of which I am really happy but this is next level you know This is a real bummer the road is over there if only I had a lightweight motocross then I would have just flipped it on its side and gone below but okay it's 15 minutes back um yeah more practice then I'm sweating, my ass off! seeing Wales through a whole different perspective I love it and I'm kind of jealous of you living here because it's such a nice place to ride, pretty damn good! and I've got lots to practice now it would be a real joke if this gate was closed now too I need to check if I uh go further down or not for a place to sleep oh whoo I'm really surprising myself today oh good job desert good job I've just um finished dinner and now I'm gonna there it is go to my room then have a really nice, sorry that was loud really nice deserved rest I have a very big room I really wanted to camp but it was just so shitty weather and I was like nope not today I went um let's see I left the B&B this morning at 8.30 and I arrived here at 19.30. I really hope
that you liked my whole day it was in the end it turned out really amazing and I was happy that I continued with my original route didn't get a shortcut and that off-roading was like oh I I kind of hoped that the gate would be open but in the end I mean it's more experience and I loved it um I was even feeling more confident to to have some more speed but for now I'm done and tomorrow's day three and I think I will be heading into Brecon Beacon and the Black Mountain Pass range not sure so thank you for watching again um stay tuned for the next one and give me a thumbs up subscribe if you liked it and see you soon!
