tea no no hello Assalamu alaikum everyone and welcome back to the channel from Uliyastav, Mongolia. This city is almost in the center of Mongolia. Yesterday I was supposed to take the South route and go North, I did off road for about 200 km. It was almost dark here. So I decided not to go ahead and stay here for the night. Today I will do the same off road for 150 km and then I will reach the North route.
I have no idea how many km I will go to Ulaanbaatar after North route. I'm willing to spend the night wherever I feel it's beautiful. I expect to cover approximately 350 km. Yesterday when I was off roading, the front tire hit the rock . I was afraid that the rim might be bent. So I checked, the rim was absolutely fine. but when I parked the bike at night the front tire was flat.
The battery of the pump had drained. It's been a while since I used it. So I am charging it and will inflate as soon as it charges. I checked the tire for any damage.
I can't see any bend in the rim. Maybe it was hit so hard that it got damaged. I will inflate it. Hopefully, there will be no issue and I will take you to the North route.
So, I inflated the front tire and there was no leakage in the last 20 minutes. Let's start it. In the meantime, I will charge it and then will see. It struck here. There is a mark but no air leakage. Let's put it here.
It will keep on charging. Let's allow it to warm up a bit. (prayer for journey) May I have a blessed and safe day ahead. Let's get out of here and see how my day unfolds. I hope there won't be any trouble because of the tire. I have checked, the air is maintained.
An hour has been wasted in the morning. Even today it's cloudy, cold and windy. I am neither wearing a windproof jacket nor gloves.
If it gets cold on the way, I will stop and wear them. What a pleasant surprise, 125 km full of asphalt. What an amazing road.
It was not written anywhere on the map that it's an asphalt road. I was expecting that as soon as I leave the village, gravel off-road will start. I was ready for the adventure. but it was amazing. I saw beautiful scenery all along the way because we were at height autumn colors and green pastures rivers It was a beautiful and amazing area.
I got petrol from here. Since I am short of local currency, I will get the currency exchanged. There is a Khan Bank in this village. I will go there to exchange money and then continue the ride because after 20-25 km road towards North will start. and then I will reach some village or city.
I think in another 100 km there is a city. I will have lunch there. There is a bank on this road. As the map is not available. Let's go and find.
This town is very beautiful. Perhaps this bank is where the Mongolian flag is raised. Something should be mentioned outside. No this is some local building. This is the bank.
Let's park Rangeeli (the motorcycle) here. Is it closed? Where is the entrance? I can't find it. It should be somewhere here. Crossed it. Let me take off my helmet.
It's closed. yes ok let's go, it's off. Will get them exchanged from somewhere ahead. In Mongolia I have ridden almost 1000 km or more than that. I have seen agriculture for the first time. That's why it is covered from outside.
I have not seen such a place in any other area. May it be open. It seems good. Hello Coffee has been served. It is much needed.
It's so cold outside. When I was riding in the South, the weather was great. It was around 15-16 degrees on that side. I thus felt that it was becoming a bit monotonous.
Let's go to the North. Now since I'm in the North, the cold has driven me crazy. Around 50-60 km in the morning were fine. When I crossed the pass, the cold worsened. So, I will wear my gear and leave.
Let's have some coffee and see how the ride continues. I'll see some beautiful lakes on the way. So I'll stop there. I still have a lot of time. Let's try to cover as many km as I can.
I have covered around 180 km so far. I have some matcha cookies here. I thought I'll have some and leave. So I'm eating a lot of sweets here. They are so weird. I thought they would be like this.
But they are in small packets. These are Japanese cookies. Have a look! They are like small sticks. But they are delicious. I was wondering how bad the weather could get.
No doubt it's cold. As soon as I left the cafe, I got a new surprise. It's so cold. And on top of that, it's raining and windy. On the South side, I was having a great time when I was there, I thought the scenery here would be amazing. But now that I'm here, it's a different story.
Anyways Now that I am here, let's explore this area. I'm going towards the bank now. I'm paying via a credit card here. But if I have to stop somewhere on the way for accommodation in yurt not being able to use credit cards there will be troublesome. It's better to exchange money here.
So let's go towards the bank. And then I will leave from here. The visibility has reduced a lot.
I can only see the city and the mountains behind. and it's raining cats and dogs. The weather is such that it will continue till evening. And it may continue for the next 2-3 days. The weather might change after 100-150 km.
And if the weather remains like this, then I'm not going to take any off-road route. I will use the main road and reach Ullanbataar. I can ride in 50 degrees, no issues.
But I can't ride in winter. The temperature is around 0 degrees right now. It will be troublesome when it drops further.
That's why I want to reach Ullanbataar as soon as possible. Khan Bank is right there. I think it's also named after Genghis Khan. It's an ATM. I have exchanged $200 from here. In total, I exchanged $300 in Mongolia formerly and now $200.
I think the next 3-5 days will pass. On average, my daily expenses are $50 to $60 here. If I get an expensive hotel and spend more fuel, it goes up it increases by $5-$10. But the average lies in this range.
Let's go to the ger camp guys and have some tea. After that, I will go ahead and let's warm up the hands too. Tea? No, no. Let's park it here with the mobile phone on charging. Hello.
Pakistan. Pakistan. Yes.
My hands are blue. I am taking off my helmet. Now my hands are a little better.
He is our savior today. I wanted to throw my bike behind. I swear, when I came here, I ran inside. As soon as I came, I got hot tea.
They have brought something else. I think this is cheese. I am not going to eat this. Because I have had this experience once. I had eaten something like this. They made cheese noodles.
They were not digestible. I am not going to eat this. but I am drinking Mongolian tea. They say that if you spend the night here, there are huts next to them. I said that if there is a heating system there, then I might consider.
I have just checked the temperature. It will be below zero in the evening. Everything will be at zero temperature. Let's see. The place is very beautiful.
Waiting for my hands to warm up a bit. Then I will go outside and have some drone shots. It is very luxurious from inside. There is a heating system. Temperature is maintained inside. You can say that this is their kitchen.
and the sleeping area. and might be for sitting purpose. This is the Mongolian yurt. Or ger camp. What kind of food do you eat? Okay. Bye bye. This is their small hut. I could have spent the night here.
But due to the cold weather... I still have about 1.5 to 2 hours of light left. So I decided to leave. If I cover another 100 km, then it will take us at least 2 days maximum. to reach Ullanbaatar.
It's about 700 to 800 km from here. If I cover another 100 km, I might reach tomorrow. There are two times in Mongolia. Sometimes my watch takes me an hour ahead, sometimes it takes me an hour behind. So, I need to understand that as well.
There is a restaurant and a cafe here. And I think there is a hotel here as well. I will have to check. The lights are off.
I think there is one ahead as well. The lights are on. This one is closed. Let's go ahead and check. I have asked him. He said it's closed.
But there is a number written outside. If I call him, he might come. 95749742 I am asking him to talk. What will I talk to him? I have got the accommodation. I thought it would be decent here. Because it's a big village.
But anyway, let me show you. This is my room. Most likely, I have brought my sleeping bag with me. I will use that to sleep.
They have provided two beds. I have kept my stuff on the other one. In this region, you will hardly find a guest house or hotel with a washroom and running water. Mostly outside. You will go out, there will be a pit and you will sit on the toilet and come back.
This is how it is here. They have built a washroom outside the building. There is no shower facility. There is a public shower area here. You can take a bath there.
I thought there is a lot of water here. There are lakes and rivers. They must have facilities. But no. Let's see what I eat. Their is a restaurant downstairs.
I have some noodles with me. Most likely, I will have them. I went to a restaurant to eat. I asked them if they have anything other than meat.
They said they only have meat. I said okay. I will have my noodles. I brought some packets with me.
I cooked them. I will eat noodles. For tea, I have brought water from downstairs. I have tea leaves and coffee. I have brought all my stuff. I will eat and rest.
I will charge the batteries. and will leave in the morning. If I need anything, I will go to the supermarket and get it.
Remember me in your prayers. Don't forget to like, subscribe and share. I hope you liked the vlog. Goodbye.
