I Took My Family To This Secluded Beach In Thailand
all right today we are going to explore the other side of koh chang Island the east coast. koh chang is basically divided into two sides the west and the east coast and like 90 percent of all the hotels are located on the west coast and that's also the place where you can find most of the tourists all these small little touristy Villages all the restaurants are all on the west coast the east coast is way less populated and there are almost no hotels so you almost find zero tourists on the east coast of the island but in my opinion the east coast is even more beautiful so today we are going to explore around the East Coast I am still here together with my family my mom is here my uncle and my auntie it's their first time in Thailand so I'm showing them around currently okay so my aunt and my uncle are going to take this bike here and this is a newer bike than my bike so I'm giving the better bike to them but no actually my uncle is an experienced motorbike driver so he will have no problems here and my mom is your first time driving on such a bike no not really right I used to wear a motorbike a lot when I was younger than you were younger than I am oh now I feel old but yeah she's going to sit on the back with me you'll trust me with driving yes yeah okay no worries babe Safety First when you are riding with your mom okay which hammer do you want I don't care which one fits better let's try all right and the goal is to reach the southern point of the east coast and there is an yeah beautiful beach with hopefully no or not many other tourists and yeah along the way we will find many beautiful places hopefully make some stops here and there oh you need gas okay okay yeah jump on let's go okay I'm having the responsibility to carry my mom safely around the island now as well as being the overall tour guide for my family yeah if you've seen the previous videos then you know I'm currently traveling together with my family showing them around it's not only their first time in Thailand it's also their first time in Asia in general so quite an exciting trip for them all right the first stop is going to be a gas station stop because usually when you rent these motorbikes here in Thailand I always have empty gas tanks so the first stop you always need to make is at a gas station yeah how much will it cost that's what we're going to find out now let's see how much there's 140 150 I think oh yeah it's full now filled up completely that should be enough for a few days and 150 baht to fill it up okay so this is a typical for example but yeah here we have these tourist shops lots of hotels restaurants and you will notice later on the East Coast it will look very different all right we are almost at the Northern end of the West Coast and we have a beautiful Viewpoint here yeah this is quite a nice view here and we are very lucky with the weather today as in the past days bright Sunshine no clouds no rain of course how is it so far it's fun it's fun it's been the steep yeah yeah it gets a little bit hilly at some places here on kochang reminds me of my younger years yeah and I really hope that we are going to see some monkeys here I would really like to show my family some monkeys and yeah I know I've been to this island two times before and yeah usually you can find some monkeys along the road sometimes and also my mom would actually like to see an elephant there are some elephant camps here where they have elephants and chains chains but my mom Woody doesn't really want to see that she would like to see a free elephant I'm not sure if we will be able to find free elephants here but let's see yeah yeah some parts of the island are quite exciting to ride so it's actually a good Island for driving motorcycles it's curvy Tilly you have some parts where you can like drive a little bit faster because it's straight for a while but I really like to drive these curves here otherwise quick little pit stop Edge at 7-Eleven I think this is the last 7-Eleven before we will enter the the North and the East Coast you want to get some water oh you got water already okay well I need some water some cold refreshing water you want to dry water as well yeah I would like to have the Vitamin Water yes he was asking for soda water yes and we actually have soda water here but it's in glass bottles here Thai people like to drink soda water with whiskey yeah that's what it's popular in Thailand they mix soda water with whiskey yeah you want to try the soda water yes [Music] and Germany soda water is more popular than plain water so usually if you go to a supermarket or if you order water in a restaurant you would always get soda water unless you specifically ask for plain water and my uncle is wearing a nice t-shirt again isn't it kind of brought merchandise t-shirts Vitamin Water no sugar I really like to drink this one here and how's the soda water here great yeah sometimes we Germans we miss sparkling water yeah all right let's continue yeah we're basically in the north now passing over to the east coast to the exciting part of today we just found some monkeys and usually if there's one monkey there's a whole family of monkeys I see one two ah I'm happy that uh we found some monkeys that I'm enjoying that they are free here yeah they are free this is not a not a zoo this is your first time seeing monkeys like this in the wild yes it is of course there's no monkeys in Germany out there yeah we should have brought some bananas are coming be careful okay breaks don't they yeah there's one I see more over there all right we're going to make a stop at organic coconut Plantation yeah I knew that you like organic places so I remembered this place you should we get just four coconut shakes would you like a coconut Shake hello we can have a seat right yeah I know how to say that entire song yeah oh that's beautiful oh you have a garden as well yeah okay maybe we drink coconut first and then we have a look at the Garden one for you foreign would you like a shake or fresh coconuts cool um [Music] just a coconut an ear Shake okay uh free Shake and one just plain coconut yeah and let's see how we open it oh you have a big knife here like a Japanese katana yep okay maybe I need to be a little bit careful okay also selling gas here by the way [Music] oh that looks good try that's fast no more no more try nothing yeah I can take you or take your phone my mom drinking straight out of a coconut yeah delicious it's very it's very refreshing it's called you how come it's called how can it be oh maybe it's a cooled insect okay my mom really likes like fresh coconuts here we don't have fresh coconuts in Germany of course but it's cold it's cold it's normal here how you make it cold yeah it's cold it's very cold yeah it was in the fridge it was not lying here okay okay maybe we can we can sit over there okay let's have a seat over there yeah one shake with no sugar um it's very sweet as well okay so no need sugar because the coconut itself is sweet over here okay okay that looks really delicious and with a view like this green everywhere that's right oh tastes very different from the usual coconut shakes you can get everywhere in Thailand the coconut taste is very strong here usually they mix it like with milk and sugar so you don't really taste that much coconut itself but here there's really a fresh coconut flavor to it amazing oh my mom was curious to find out how they get the Coconuts from up there bamboo stick and then you have cooked yeah up there oh yes before we have a monkey but now it's over what I mean you have a monkey they train monkeys to climb up there and grab it yeah I I heard about that before it's a really pretty Garden yeah this Garden is uh something you really like right yeah my mom loves Gardens like this and it looks so green even if you have a look from above coconut Plantation here oh you have a really beautiful garden you know what is it what is this ah it's legal now in Thailand yeah oh yeah the water from the bottom yeah water from the mountain yeah running hallway running a purified from the mountain oh ah he seems to be excited to show me the bathrooms you think I want to film the toilet oh that is a sentence I think I've never heard before it's a pretty toilet okay oh wow this looks very special have you ever seen a bathroom like this oh there's even the standing how do you call this in English no because okay never mind maybe someone in the comment section knows oh just looks nice right all right let's have a look at the other toilet because he was quite curious for me to see it many signs here toilet okay we're going to uh to have a look at the toilet now on the toilet toilet exploration okay where is it oh is it here oh I think it's here [Laughter] oh yeah this is quite funny oh you can sit here and when you sit here you have this View oh yeah great oh yeah that is not really private but it's something special right oh that's funny okay all right you even gave us some free bananas here these small little bananas they are also new for my family in Germany we only have the the big bananas not the small ones that was a curious to find out what they are selling yeah it's like a little village just curious to see what you're selling here ah some chicken guy sausages some fish plants yeah you'll see uh um Vehicles like this going through rural Thailand a lot so they are driving through the villages selling all kinds of goods you see that all around rural Thailand some fresh vegetables here oh I see some pineapples over there some other fruits yeah that's how it works in the villages in rural Thailand sorry that's how it works in the villages in rural Thailand they are driving around the villages with a dead chickens yeah on vegetables fruits oh some sweets coconut sticky rice inside yeah I think I saw that before dragon fruits my mom takes pictures yeah we don't have this in Germany yeah right right potatoes in Germany wouldn't be allowed to sell these kinds of foods no champions I remember when I was a child we had ice trucks running around the Villages it's not real anymore so many woods in Germany oh check it out monkeys on the road [Music] yeah the one the one monkey has a baby I think it's not this one it's now we have many monkeys here let's have a look if we can see one a little bit closer maybe the guy over there tree oh yeah well I think we are surrounded by the monkeys to be honest they are all over us probably watching us but there's a nice Road here right yeah yeah it looks pretty a little bit more off-road here we are going more into the jungle basically to the end of the Eastern Point or towards the end point of the eastern coast all right let's see if they will let us pass monkeys here monkeys here bye-bye and check out how the world looks here it's not even a proper Main Road anymore but this is the only Road to get to the end point of the East Coast all right so these are the final meters to the end point the reward gets yeah more difficult to write on the conditions of the road are not the best here but still manageable I'd say oh and I see some blue water already over there oh yeah oh yeah the water here looks amazing doesn't it this is the other Island which we can take a kayak to and that's the plan now let's see oh yeah I see a sign kayak here we can take a boat here kayak 200 one day 200 yeah okay how many people in one kayak two yeah true uh 400 so two boats okay you don't need to do anything I can do it on my own yeah you don't you don't need to do anything I am able to try it we made it halfway through just a quick stop to show you the beautiful view here over there is kind of the open ocean the sun is shining the water looks blue can't see the ground anymore but I guess it's not going to be deep here and over there is the destination the lonely Beach oh we're getting some waves here now they're coming from the Open Water on the right side of us do you feel safe Mom do you feel safe yes fairly okay and we made it let's check out this little island here we need tickets 200. just to win that one weapon 200 for one person just to have a look we just want to stay here for a few minutes not long time 10 minutes yeah okay okay no pay yeah okay okay so you have to pay 200 baht to uh stay here or enter this island but yeah we just agreed that we can stay like 10 minutes for free which is nice because yeah 200 per person just to spend here I don't know how many time we would spend here if there wouldn't be a fever probably not that long and check out this view here that is absolutely insane isn't it this is Thailand as you see it on the internet on Instagram or in your travel agency this is what you expect when you think of Thailand right if you like this yeah people actually live here that there will be something you would like as well right yeah I can see my mom living in one of these houses over there uh-huh yeah it's very yeah yeah sitting on the beach in Thailand on a swing with a beautiful beach right here but you like it right you know that's beautiful but it's also in the middle of nowhere the next supermarket or the next 7-Eleven or a little market is like at least 30 to 40 minutes driving away from here so I'm not sure if I would actually like to to stay here for a longer period of time but of course it is beautiful here and not too crowded of course all right we're on the way back and check out this epic scenery here the view here the mountains in the background so this is kochang Island the East end or the end of the east coast of kochang Island well really really beautiful isn't it I'm really happy that I'm able to show this to my mom a beautiful place like this here in Thailand you are heavy as well okay happy to hear that and it's peaceful here the sun is shining it's actually it's not too hot I would say but Mom you feel hot right yeah she has the towel she looks like E.T do you know the movie E.T she looks like from the movie E.T all right we made it back to uh almost back to the West Coast and my uncle would like to have one of these Thai crabs here crap let's see there's a popular street food snack here sweet snack my young it's okay it's the only place and banana peanut butter and banana oh it smells amazing here very good yeah you can mix it here oh I think she also can make some Savory ones more ah there's a spot oh honey I think this was the shredder not sure more more yeah try the flies in Germany thank you sweet mode or a chocolate vanilla probably complete mode yeah this typical uh sweet mug looks like sweet milk how do you say I'm tired right yeah that's milk no massage but it's a sweet mug so it's a little bit different that looks amazing [Applause] 60. can I try a little bit delicious and crispy oh yeah the the top part is always the crispy part and then towards the end it gets more soft really delicious okay okay thank you very much my mom said she found something coffee I don't think that Supply's favorite drink to be honest well actually you can find a lot of coffee but I think most Thai people prefer to drink tea like a Thai milk tea or green tea some such a coffee if you're not totally right okay let's see what you found here but do you want iced coffee yeah iced coffee idea it's a coffee again where did you order um she wants a cafe yen Cafe yeah yeah no uh just two caffeine okay [Music] oh that looks quite nice right yeah really with milk yeah okay enjoy on the phone cheers how is it good she said that
