I drowned my $25,000 Motorcycle in Laos!
good morning guys still from Boten at the border to China I stayed here tonight together with Joel and Erica what comes next is going to be a big challenge the roads are horrendous apparently so I'm going to saddle Eve now and uh we're doing this we're going down to the capital of Laos before crossing to Thailand let's see how it goes is the GS fully waterproof - the GS is waterproof - okay - I am not waterproof oh yeah oh we'll be fine we'll be fine just a small puddles small puddles swimming pools and little mud mud is my favorite I love mud okay yeah Eve is definitely not waterproof but uh the only thing I can't do is stop in the water so as long as I'm going I should be fine but they're supposed to be very deep puddles okay guys add stop set destination Luang Prabang is the goal I don't know how far we're going to make it Schuberth sucks - Schuberth sucks I don't want to make the update right now I'll probably make it in Luang Prabang uh because it's just uh too risky you know like when they [ __ ] up before I might have another problem I don't know I just wait but I don't know how to turn that off like I just don't want to be minded all the time I know there's an update no but this is important - very comfortable okay guys moment of truth no I'm not installing the ABS TC still on but no error that's good no error codes and we're rolling oh yeah just turned off ABS is back traction control is back it's all back we're good oh okay no you you need your wife we have four more hours to go so let's do it I know you guys saw it already but I just watched the footage of me going through that river and Eve was fully submerged like fully underwater completely the whole bike it's insane really you know I just I have to say this is uh incredible a little bit like uh an engine motorcycle the engine would have been dead like not dead but you know what I mean like I would have stalled the bike 100% And I was sitting in the water sitting in the water for quite a while trying to get out and I only got out because the traction control had a fault and that way I could just you know give her and that got me out so incredible and so is the landscape here by the way it's pretty awesome you're riding through the jungle a little bit it's so nice and I got to say so proud of Joel man he rode through there like a boss on that big fat Gs if I do this [ __ ] when I'm 70 I'm a happy man you know what I mean oh God I just hope we're not getting wet now it looks a bit like it but we should be all right man what an adventure Laos hey good job Eve good job license plate what a license plate oh Eve look at you you dirty girl Joel has some issue with his injection somehow he thinks it's probably the fuel filter tries to get a new one not going to be easy but as long as the tractor runs the tractor runs so it's going to be fine look at that look at that Laos this is also how the road could be wow I would have appreciated that from the start I love that wow not bad Eeeh trucks so it's uh 23,000 per liter 3,000 right - yeah maybe 3,000 yeah fuel filter is ordered Ben ordered it or yeah I hope so uh he could order and his father would bring it okay so.. - we try to replace the filter you think we can do it - I can't do I couldn't do it alone because it's uh we have to remove the tank I mean it's a really a two mans work - yeah but when the tank is away then it is relatively easy straightforward I would say - we can do it the old tractor - old tractor is a beautiful - motorcycle I mean not an old tractor even if it is a BMW and even if the German one yeah oh we we'll abide we will get it done I will bring you - and we appreciate so much that you are in our life - no man I I enjoy it I enjoy it I'm not alone that's awesome so we're not going to make it to Luang Prabang tonight hello we're going to a place called uh I forgot Chonya I think Chonya it's just a little town but uh there's good hotels apparently the rest of the band is there that's I like that a lot Vincente and Fernanda and Joan and Teresa are there that's really cool and it's just 1 hour left and it's now it's all beautiful the road is now all good it's all nice uh bummer I can't fly my spare drone right now because oh the app was deleted off my phone I couldn't download it earlier but from tomorrow on I'll show you some birds eye view of Laos I reckon I'll be staying with the Joel and Erica as long as they haven't fixed their issue with the bike I don't mind you know like I like hanging out with them and uh I I think uh Joel would be happy about it and Ben just ordered the spare parts and uh we'll probably get them soon and uh we try put it in all together because normally the workshops they wouldn't touch a BMW here because of all the software stuff it's absolutely beautiful here it's really nice and then probably good with the rainy season everything is super green very lush it's awesome Security they also have checkpoints here but we never stop They haven't stopped us Hi mate Hello and they sure like making babies here I see so many kids on the street every town guess it's something to do the bikes hope they have a beer in this place I hope they have a beer in this fridge yeah you think they have beer here -
