How To Survive Low Season In Phuket USING GOOGLE MAPS !!
good morning and welcome to a very different looking qatar beach looking pretty rough this morning that's because it's low season or or is it low season low season high season i keep asking people this question and at the minute after you know what i think low season and high season might be out of the window obviously low season has to do with the weather and now the weather is changing this beach is getting battered by waves because yeah the weather's changing usually high season this is flat in the morning the beach looks different nice and flat and very nice and blue looks beautiful i mean it looks nice now even though some crazy uh clouds coming over hopefully it don't rain yeah the sea looks a different color washes up a lot of crap so the bad weather season is coming shall we say bad weather for this place even for us foreigners it's quite nice oh i think the rain could be coming today's video what we're gonna do one moment that's a crazy game of making these videos i just walked along this beach there wasn't one bit of wind and i thought perfect time to make a video i grabbed my camera and look you can see the water's changed and i think it's gonna hammer down any minute i'll better get out the way it's getting windy the winds come meaning rain's coming let's take cover and i'll carry on so as you can see that's how quickly things can change around here as i was uh thinking what to say went back and got my camera and then now this is here i think they call this a sea tornado you can see a little whirlwind appearing you can see the plow going down to the water i must have just been in the park that was not there's no wind whatsoever next minute okay so let's get back to the video what's it about we're gonna explore people have asked me how do i find what the places that we visit because we go to lots of different places restaurants resorts etc etc and i use google maps google maps is my go-to thing for looking where to go i also use this for our business which is proving to be the best thing for us to use uh apps like tripadvisor and this other stuff i think it's falling away i think the main thing people are using now is google maps definitely for me and the younger generation you know google put cameras on top of cars and drove around the whole world you know to put work in and yeah they're massive aren't they we might not like these big companies but the fact is they're they're the leading leading the technology world and the reviews on google about humans to buy people i don't know if you can i don't think there's a way of tricking it and getting a higher score we now have very good reviews and a very good score rating we now have 195 at our coffee shop mabel's coffee garden restaurant cafe yeah and 4.9 which is a very good score out five uh i also use it to review other people i i leave reviews i never used to but now i do but this is really the best way if you want to help out a business if you visit somewhere and also help out everybody else give a good honest review and some photos really helps a business so i uh i use the app to explore the island or anywhere without even being there you know i look around and i you use a bookmark kind of thing want to go tag it and save it and my map is now dotted with green flags want to go no no no that's my that's my list of go-to places yeah so today i'm going to pick some places three places like a cafe a restaurant and something else and we're going to visit there i look at the pictures i read the reviews and go yeah that looks interesting let's go and check it out i'm going to try and pick some new places because you know low season high season the fact is people are spending money some people are spending huge money on businesses here i want to show you a few of the businesses along the way that i'm like amazed at like wow these guys are spending mega money and usually the guys that are spending mega money probably know something we don't know they're in the know and yeah people that are cash loaded or you know big business people don't spend mega money for no reason okay the little shower has passed that was like five or ten minutes that was a small one uh yeah it can be very different here monday was glorious sunny sunny in our shop uh what i meant by low or high season like most people in our garden on monday were from australia and most of them said we don't usually come this time of year but everybody everyone's been waiting so long to get away it's like who cares what season it is i don't care if it's high low whatever i'm going on holiday i don't give a damn so that's kind of what i meant and all the rules have changed we now know you can just get on a plane and go there's still a few little things but by the first of june this will all be gone no more masks by june i believe i reckon everything will be gone by june and yeah monday glorious weather no tuesday glorious weather wednesday was an absolute downpour terrible and today we'll see it could be blazing sunshine in the afternoon you never know i used to come no matter what time of year it was i used to come i didn't care high low season it just if i could go i was going hey so we're now here in our coffee garden and just like that garlic just like that the weather has completely changed glorious sunshine blue skies that's how it is in low season eh yes weather changes yeah sometimes heavy rain rain red hot and behind us as you can see the we've got the roof the new roof in our coffee garden just in time yeah didn't we because heavy rain it was like as soon as we finished it it absolutely hammered down and now people can still stay in place and finish your food and eat drink your coffee today's like i said earlier what we're gonna do is go to three places that we've picked off google maps that's what we use to find places here anywhere and so the three places we're going to go we'll try to pick quite unique places and the first one we're going to the bang tao area because also we're meeting someone we'll have a video coming soon about property in bang tao area that will be coming later on the channel the first place we're going is vanali cafe bernalillo don't look amazing yeah this is in the jungle i'm trying to pick places that look quite unique this looks like it's in the jungle to me with beautiful views looks pretty new the second place we're going maybelles pick 360 bar 360 bar another place with an awesome view trust you to pick a bar babe good job good reviews yes we always pick places with good reviews so then the two first they're the two first places we're going and the third place we'll tell you later because we haven't picked it yet we'll pick it along the way so that's the plan this could change because sometimes the business says open on the map you go there it's closed or might not even be there it's up to the owner to keep the thing updated so that's the plan let's go shall we we've arrived this is location number one vanilla vanilla finale is it benally millie vanilli yeah uh it's a coffee shop and it's actually vid live villas it's actually villas as well uh we're gonna go in it's like right in the jungle right in the in the mountain i want to i picked this place it's pretty new not the best weather driving here low season it's been rain sun rain sun yeah and now rain again anyway we're going to show the villas as well they happily said yeah we'll show you the one bed villa and yeah let's go in and have a coffee and look around the coffee shop but i think this had food as well but yeah we didn't see any on the menu no let's go okay let's look around mobile look at it it's beautiful like you're walking through the walking into the green forest it's raining yeah we get inspiration and ideas for our own decoration yeah look very nice entrance look factually but yeah that's what we like that's what we have in our place fake cherry blossoms proper jungle here look at this jungle it's not the best weather for it but hey what can we do maybe nothing exactly just doesn't have to flow go with the flow yeah that's what i was going to say here we go down to more seating and coffee shop area and here we are i have to say what a beautiful little coffee shop coffee garden maybe it's a coffee garden there's many different seating levels and it's really set in the jungle i feel like i mean i'm immersed in nature you have cakes very nice coffee honey lemon tea for me well and yeah i just really like the the feeling of nature around you the big leaves the greenery and makes you feel cool in such a warm climate of thailand yeah i enjoy it very much like a tree house in the jungle so okay so this is one of the villas wow the door's huge number one done location number two maybe we might defer from the original plant because we need food maybelle needs food we all know maybelle needs food right so let's find location number two let's go good day good day even watching vlogging a dead horse too much okay it's now day two we had to abort the mission yesterday due to very bad weather yeah right so we're going to try and get this video back on track we're going to cheat a little bit because one of the places from google maps we're looking at it right now you can see it from ours this is our shop here mabel's coffee garden and you can see big buddha from our shop yeah big buddha is that a good omen babe he's looking over us so we're gonna go to big buddha we'll show you we'll film a bit of the way from here from our shop many people come to visit us and go to big buddha as well to make like a day trip of going to big buddha and coming for breakfast or lunch here come for lunch we need more people in the afternoon uh yeah we're going to go to there and then we're going to go to i think it's called mountain breeze this is a fir number two and number three we'll finish off with a restaurant on the side of the mountain and a beautiful sunset will we get one maybe maybe not sure if it's cloudy or not okay you ready let's go let's go i can't get this way okay so hopefully it's not going to be too windy up here every time i tried the video up here it's like ruined with wind the sun's coming out cloudy sunny uh we passed quite a few places along the way didn't we yeah we'll have a look on the way down guys uh mountain breeze is where we're going but we've seen a few others look nice eh yeah and i've seen them all on google maps some haven't got many reviews so yeah we'll leave a review as well shall we yes let's go in have a look big buddha i want to tell you something else as well we use google maps for i'll tell you in the restaurant and it's working out pretty lucrative for business hey sunday our garden was full all through google maps maybelle why didn't you dress appropriately you should know the score here like this make sure to wear appropriate clothing no flesh how much is it oh my god so before i'm not telling you telling myself and this restaurant here i think we've been here with four years big buddha art cafe i thought it was closed very very open see got some dogs here what kind of dog madam i'm gonna have my usual typhoon you have to stick with it okay don't change margarita pizza just one what okay so the other thing we use google maps for is what mobile google ads oh yeah yeah it's a my friend told me steve cheers buddy uh give it a go better than leaflets he said so if you've seen our channel before we handed out a load of leaflets on the beach bloody hard work so you put google ads on you pay per click depending on how many clicks you get you know we turn it on and off though don't we turn it on and off and sunday the garden was full up but everyone was from google ads yeah some days it doesn't work at all you know but unusual yeah one table today very quiet today at one table all day uh yeah it works uh average i've been looking at it and averaging out two tables a day not just like two people usually quite big groups yeah sometimes more you know sunday many so yeah google ads people try it good for research coffee near me restaurant near me then you can pop up a top place maybe a coffee garden will be there we have a lot of reviews already so it helps all the reviews help putting pictures there helps anyone wants to help leave a review if you should give it to your depend depends on you english accent english look look how clean the plate is did you lick the plate i'm not gonna eat trim head okay that was delicious good meal yes i feel a little bit guilty about having the pizza but we were meant to go don't feel guilty babe and also coming to big buddha because we didn't use google maps we see it every day from our garlic but we yeah
