This is a steep & deep gorge -Oh! Houses are made in this way! -I said so. So many houses are being built here. Perhaps a lady is going ahead of me. She is carrying a torch.

If we make kids feel weak, they start crying. "Oh! What happened? Let me lift you." Nanna hisaru Varun. Nanna ooru Delhi. Dhanyavadagalu. (Kannada)

Artha aita. (Kannada) This is the Arches National Park. I am accompanied by Viraj. He's from Karnataka and Maharashtra. We are heading towards Navajo Arch.

It's for sure that we took a wrong turn. -You can throw it. -No, I won't do that. No, boss! Even this seems to be high, from where you are going.

We woke up at 4 in the morning. And now, it's 5. We woke up early because we have to go on a trek, on a hike. Where would we go? -Delicate Arch. -Yeah, Delicate Arch. The sunrise view is amazing there.

He is having his coffee. I'm done with mine. It was great fun. And this is, 'Sanjeevni Booti'. (Life savior) Basically, these are, 'Theplas'. (Gujarati flatbread) A big thanks to whoever made this. And thank you to Viraj for bringing it. Just now he revealed the secret. At first, he was bringing potato stuffed parathas.

And then, a Gujarati auntie, who prepared this said... One shouldn't say auntie in America. -She is not an auntie. -Oh! I am so sorry. I'll have to edit this. The lady who prepared this, is a Gujarati, and she advised us not to take potato parathas. She advised us to carry, 'Theplas'.

I was a bit confused with the auntie word. I was feeling bad for calling her auntie. My apologies, if you're watching this video. Well, we had coffee and theplas, and now we are getting late. It's 5.09 a.m. We have to rush. The temperature outside is -6. Don't know how that would feel.

I am well prepared to go out. It's quite dark now. I would be hardly visible. It's 5.43 a.m. now. We have to run.

We were supposed to reach here at 5.30. Now, we are late by 15 minutes. I'm ready. And we have to run to the Delicate Arch. We were not sure about getting parking space. But, we were lucky. Fortunately, there were only 2 cars in the parking lot.

It's so dark that I have to talk by using the torch of my mobile. It's very cold. Terribly cold! Perhaps a lady is going ahead of me. She is carrying a torch. We hope to reach in time, though, sunlight has started approaching from the other side. Actually, I was on a wrong track. Mr.Viraj had already downloaded Google maps offline.

He checked it out. The trail happened to be on the left side. It's clearly visible from here.

That's the Delicate Arch, right in front. Oh! What type of track is this? Are we on the wrong track? Oh, brother! We are on the wrong track. just look down... We have to reach there.

How to proceed? But, the view from here is beautiful. I have learned a lesson from my mistake. It's better to download the AllTrails app. Or do download the offline Google maps. Let me make it fast.

This is frozen ice. The water has frozen. The light is getting brighter. Finally, we reached there at about 6.35 or so. It took almost an hour. This is the arch, right in front. Delicate Arch. The moon is above us.

Finally, I'm moving out of here. What's the time now? It's 8.30. am We both reached here at about 6.45 or so. We spent almost 2 hours or so here.

But, sunlight is yet to touch the arch. Actually, my hands are getting freezed. Though I'm wearing gloves, even then this is the situation.

So many people are here now. They are all whites. Not sure, what's the composition of their genes, their hands don't freeze even though they don't use gloves. God knows what's in them! Oh! Yet another arch. The most suitable photographic viewpoint of this national park, or the place, is right in front of us. We were on its other side.

The name is Delicate Arch, but the view is more beautiful from here. We can see its shadow quite clearly. This is the shadow and this is the Delicate Arch. And these are the surrounding 'buttes'. And then a steep gorge. I'm heading towards the top.

Oh! It's so steep! Wow! What a beautiful view from here! Amazing! There's a deep gorge on the other side. A little left or right, and you... ...can go up (die) -First down and then up. -Yeah. Just wanted to take some rest. Look, where we have stopped.

We are taking a rest here. It's our breakfast break. We were feeling hot and so...

I was wearing a cap, and so my hair is now so sticky. We sanitized our hands. And we are sitting in the middle. People are coming from this side. People are coming from down. And we are enjoying our Theplas. -Sanjeevni Booti. -Actually, yeah.

Nice! Great! -Enjoying? -Yeah. Seriously, so many people have come here along with their children. There was a gentleman, carrying a kid on the front. And what would be the kid's age? Say, 6 or 7 months. Definitely less than a year. -Sure. -Isn't it?

-Sure. -The kid was really very small. We were thinking how these people could manage. They travel with such small kids. -Dhanyavadgalu. Is it correct? -Yeah. Dhanyavadgalu. Actually, when we were having our breakfast, a couple was passing by.

And I could understand the language which they were speaking. I said, 'Privyet'. she smiled from far and said, "Do you speak Russian?" I said, "Yes, a little bit." Privyet, spasibo. They were so happy. It was nice talking to them.

And then, I wanted to learn some phrases from you. I said, "How to say 'thank you' in Kannada." He is a Kannadiga.

He said, 'Dhanyavada', and then later on he said... It's dhanyavada, but, the proper word is, dhanyavadagalu. Dhanyavadagalu? My name is Varun. How to say that? -Nanna hisaru Varun. -What? -Nanna hisaru... -Nann...

-Hisaru, hisaru is, name. -Hasaru... -Hasaru? -Hisaru. Nanna hisaru Varun. Nanna hisaru Varun. -Dhanyavadagulu. -You got it.

Come on, some more. I am from Delhi. How to say that? Nanna ooru... Okay. Nanna means, I... Nanna hisaru... -And, Nanna ooroo? -Ooru.

-Ooru. -Ooru. Okay, sorry. Ooru is place, or city.

Nanna ooru, okay. My ooru, means my place. -Nanna ooru? -New Delhi. -New Delhi. -Oh! Nanna hisaru Varun.

-Naar ooru... -Nanna ooru. Nanna ooru, Delhi. Nanna ooru, Delhi. Dhanyavadagalu. In Marathi, they say, "Maza naav Varun aahe."

Maza naav Varun aahe. -Me... -Me Delhi var... -Delhi cha aahe. -Me Delhi cha aahe. Me Delhi cha aahe. Dhanyavaad.

-This is easy. -Yeah. Did that girl fall down? Yes, she slipped. Their parents didn't pick them up. She got up by herself and went. That's great.

-Self-learning. -Yes, self-learning. Children start crying when they are picked up. Parents are like, "Oh, what happened, my dear?" Nanna... I forgot. Nanna Hisaru Varun. Nanna Ooru... Nanna ooru Delhi. Dhanyavadagalu.

Did you understand? How do we say "Did you understand?" Arth Aita? Arth Aita? -Artha. -Artha Aita? Arth means "Meaning" Arth? Oh, yes, Arth means meaning. Arth Aita? Aita. Okay. Nanna ooru Varun. Nanna... No, that's not right.

Nanna Hisaru. What was that? Hisaru. Nanna Hisaru Varun. Nanna ooru Delhi.

Dhanyavadagalu. Arth Aita? All right. Okay, that was fun. It's 9:23 a.m.

I am in Phoenix. I reached here last night. I reached around 12-12:15 a.m. This is Mr. Shanku's house. -He is standing right behind. -Hello. The moment I reached here last night, I was amazed by the decorations of this place. When I used the toilet here,

it was so wonderfully decorated. Many things are set up so nicely that I am afraid to touch them. So, I got up in the morning. I am feeling so tired today. Yesterday, I started my day at 3 a.m. And then we went for a trek. We had a long day.

After reaching here at 12 a.m., we had a chat and got to sleep at 2 a.m. I was very much tired. Mr Viraj was driving for... He drove for the whole day as the rental car was in his name. We were so tired that when Mr Viraj was leaving, I could not shoot that. I was so out of the mood.

I could not take the evening shots as well. We were at Flagstaff. It's a 2-hour journey from Flagstaff to Phoenix? -Yes, around 2 hours. -Okay.

I could not record that part as I was dead tired. When I got up in the morning, you and Anwesha... You are from Kolkata, right? -I am basically from Burdwan. -Oh, you are from Burdwan? -Where is Anwesha from? -She is from Kolkata.

I see. And that's your wedding photo. I didn't get to meet Anwesha. I thought we'll meet in the morning. When I got up, I saw that Anwesha had prepared this breakfast for us.

It's mentioned- Vegan chilla and coffee. What's in it? -That's called sheera. -sheera. Okay. Oh, wow! I get a feeling that I am a VIP. You are actually a VIP. Let me have enjoy these moments Many thanks to you and Anwesha. -At what time she got up? -She wakes up at 5 a.m.

Okay, and when did she leave? I think she would have left at around 6-6:30 a.m. She is a gym instructor. Is that what her profile is called? She was basically in HR.

She worked as an HR for many years. But now, she quit. We haven't got a chance to talk much. I have plans to travel with Mr. Shanku for the next 2-3 days. We are about to travel for 2-3 days and then I'll leave Phoenix and go to San Fransisco and then...

-Two more floors are coming up above this? -Yes. This type of construction is done when there are exhibitions in our places. -Yes, these are cardboard-like... -Yes, cardboard-like structures. These are permanent houses? Yes, this is a permanent construction. It's an apartment like that one. It's strange. All these are made from wood. -Not even wood. It's like... -It's like cardboard.

Yes, like cardboard. Yes, it's something like a cardboard construction. They would be constructing strong pillars, right? -As you said, two more floors are coming up. -Yes, at least two more floors. Houses are made in this fashion here! This means, the houses on our left -are they all made in this fashion? -Yes, very much. If you come and see this construction after 3 months, it'll be all over. -It's that fast? -Yes, very fast.

Yes, it's finished. All the houses are built up. It seems unbacked. Don't they fly away with the wind? It will look like our apartment after 3 months.

-Same as the opposite houses? -Yes, that's right. Those guys at the back have started to put up an outer shell. Looks like it's about to get completed. So, they don't use bricks at all? No bricks, no cement? You can see those in some areas. You would have seen them when you went to the Mexico border.

-Where? -Mexico border. In Arizona, but across the Mexico border. So there, I saw a few houses made up of bricks. I see. Actually, Mexico's culture is more like India's. So, people are very much like... I mean, you could relate to them.

What is the reason behind all these apartment constructions? They are developing this area very much. -Very much. -Means, many people have come to Phoenix? Yes, many people are coming to Phoenix because it's work from home going on. So, the people who were living in California, now don't have to stay there after paying exorbitant rent. They can come here and work from here.

They don't have an option to go to India as it would land them up in legal trouble. It's because India is a separate tax country. Even state taxes exist in the US, but it can be manageable. You could manage it locally. You can say that, "I will work from Arizona for 1 year."

That is not a big deal. Owing to that, many have migrated here. Phoenix is now, America's fastest-growing major city.

It means, construction would be ramped up here. It means, California is expensive? -Yes, very much. -And since Arizona is nearby, and Phoenix is the capital, people are coming here.

Yes, very much. We were actually going somewhere. We had to take a car for rent. Shanku parked his car here.

I saw something amazing here. On the parking board, it's mentioned, "Future Resident Parking" Aspire, the place where we are, where Mr. Shanku lives,... Instead of mentioning "Visitors parking", they have mentioned "Future Residents Parking." That's heights of optimism. That's the toughest rock.

It's amazing that the river has cut these mountains more than 1 kilometer in the past 5,000,000 years. As a result, we see these shapes. It's interesting. Here, my camera may record a few things which you may not want to see with your children or parents.

I don't know. But if... This is a disclaimer from my side. Just now, I saw something was happening... But this is Las Vegas. These things are bound to happen here and so, people come here to experience them.
