HD KOH SAMUI | Mae Nam Beach Part 2 | Virtual Walking Tour | Discovery | 27 MAY 2021
So hi guys again! like i told you, I am actually at the Mae Nam resort it's a family-owned resort, Thai family-owned of course from Samui they are super nice and the place is one of my favourite to have lunch as you can see the garden is amazing the guy is super super friendly the owner and the foods are thai foods are really good and quite cheap today the weather is amazing really sunny the sea is super flat I think we will have a great time I am the only customers customer in the restaurant like I told you (In Mae Nam video part 1) the name is "Toh Kin Kao" what I like the most here is that you are under shadow because of the coconut trees so it's perfect to have a lunch and you have a nice view on Koh Phangan just right there the bungalow, old one, wooden one but really nice sea view from there I will have a walk on the beach because I stopped last time here if you remember my first video and stop right there because I start from the end we're just right there where there is a viewpoint Mae Nam viewpoint and at the opposite over there you have the W resort I love this view on Koh Phangan this is amazing it's really clear and nice right here you have the Mae Nam resort is all these bungalows and seaview a few months ago they made the renovation I don't really know what they exactly do in the bungalow but I remember there... there was a lot of workers so I think they are renovating now inside next door you have one of the most expensive resort on the island the Santiburi resort so it's quite nice because you have the same location but for a much much cheaper price so right here is the Santiburi resort which have also nice coconut trees all along the beach front line and some of course nice sea view bungalows it was opened two months ago that it looks like now it's closed because they don't have any sunbeds or umbrellas outside usually they have the sunbeds today there is no sunbeds nothing on the beach so quiet I see some fishermen like I told you now thai people are trying to catch fishes every day so I think they also have a net I am absolutely alone on the beach right now they are more equipped than the two young guys that we saw last time because they have a small small boat they are still working two guys as it's much easier to use the net yeah Santiburi is closed definitely I mean it's sure that it is closed because the restaurant has its doors closed right now I remember before that they were used to work with Thai clients during the start of the pandemic but right now because of situation in Bangkok I think they don't have much customers right now so they prefer to close to avoid to pay too much charges and of course, lose money I just see sea is amazing today nice my favourite part of Mae Nam is from here because of the coconut trees until the Mae Nam resort over there so quiet again today it's a bit strange you know because there are still foreigners on the island expats of course who are working here and some tourists who are using the Covid-19 extension but the beaches are always quite empty if it was cloudy I understood that people didn't want to go to the beach but today is really perfect weather this is amazing there is a guy in this bungalow all these resorts are family-owned you know Samui family-owned resorts so they are of course still open because all these Thai people are born in Samui who are from Samui will not go anywhere they are living here for decades so of course they will not move that their home and so now they are just waiting for the situation to be normal again another construction that started a few months ago it will be a private house i think but they stopped they stopped the work so i don't know when they will start it again so we now arrived to the centre of Mae Nam where the walking street is every Thursday you know we have night market in the night market every Thursday and so the street is right over there and the hotel Saona seems to be open because you have the sunbeds on the beach restaurants looks to be open too but as you can see there's not much people right now wow so I don't know if they wanted to do it or if it's because of the tides you know sometimes the tides are so strong that everything is going away so this is it's the end of the of the Mae Nam road where this is the market and as you can see a lot of ground has gone away so as I told you right here you have the Mae Nam street where every Thursday, normally, there is a night market but of course right now night markets are not working See Daeng guesthouse "see" means colour "daeng" means red colour that's why everything is almost in red sunbeds, umbrellas and they are open Sawadee kap Sawadee Kap For people who doesn't know over there the temple which is the Chinese temple right behind there and over there you have the Chinese temple of Mae Nam really colorful and nice to visit if you are in the area making renovation I forgot the name of this resort there sorry making a renovation now and even maybe a pool I will find the name of the resort now I have a leak memory leak they have to close it because of the situation with the pandemic they did not have enough clients but they are doing now renovation I mean, the owner, Thai owner over there there is my second favourite spot on Mae Nam and of course restaurant it's thee Tree House restaurant Tree House Silent Beach really really nice place to have a lunch next time I will have lunch there instead of Mae Nam resort here you have luxury villas five stars villas beachfront villa for rent we visited it villas for rent for any kind of budget from an economic budget to five stars like this house there actually it was not this one that we visited but the one just after there are really amazing there are five, from four to six bedrooms with the staff from the villa a cooker, housekeeping, manager and you can... can have, sorry, all the services that you need in the villa and you have five or six beachfront villas next to each other so if you are more than like 12 people you can of course rent two villas and be kind of connected there's someone else on the beach the Moon Hut is open they have three clients now Zanzibar is definitely closed as you can see as you can see Mae Nam is really one of the longest beach actually Mae Nam is the longest one with Lamai I have a doubt of which one is the longest I would say Mae Nam is the longest one as it takes easily 1 hour and 15 minutes something like that 1 hour and 30 minutes to go from side to the other side from the Mae Nam viewpoint to to the W resort sorry the Natural bar restaurant is open with again nobody okay, I think I will stop at the rocks and we'll make a part 3 when i will go to Tree House to have my lunch and then I will walk from the rocks until the W right over there here you have a small river but now it's almost dry because the tide is low okay guys so it's all for today nice to have you please subscribe to the
