Hawaiian Style Modern Home With Open Walls

Show Video

Hey, everyone. Welcome to another episode from Malibu, California. Today, we're checking out this newly constructed, single-story modern estate that faces these incredible views.

And I got to say, it feels amazing to be back in California, and I cannot wait to show this home to you. So let's begin. All right, everyone. Once again, welcome to Malibu. I'm beyond excited for today's tour.

Single-story modern home situated on two acres. House is also nicely set back from the street, and we have the gates opening up to a long cobblestone driveway lined with beautiful trees and landscaping. You can actually see the tennis court from the driveway, and that road brings you to this spacious motor court. We have the Santa Monica Mountain Range on the backside, so you have this beautiful backdrop and the same motor court continues to this section where we have two separate, two car garages with a carport right in the center. Now I want to bring everybody back to the entry. It's a single-story home, Hawaiian style architecture, which I really like.

I used to be a professional windsurfer myself, so it's nice to get this Hawaiian feeling here in Malibu. We have this wide staircase taking us up to the entry. House is beautifully landscaped with palm trees, tropical stream down below. You get this amazing tranquil feeling as you walk into the home. We have the covered section here with a modern light fixture, rain chains on each side, which I'll talk about later. And this section has this wrap around deck opening up all the rooms to the outdoors, which I really like.

Now let's go through these double doors so we can check out the foyer, porcelain floors, great ceiling height. And this foyer leads you to the great room, which is phenomenal. We have the bar, seating area, dining area, kitchen, all within one space. And of course, this entire section opens up to these incredible views and this space does a phenomenal job bringing the outdoors to the indoors.

Now the first space we're going to check out is the seating area. Two long couches, chairs on the other side, coffee table right in the center. I love the minimalist approach here and this section is all open so your seating area. Can interact with the dining room, kitchen, or the bar, which is on the other side. I also want to point out that all the furnishings and art in this home comes with the sale of this property. And in fact, let's cover the specs of this home.

So we have 6 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, situated on two acres on the market for $29,500,000. I want to give big thanks to the team at Marisol, Malibu, and the listing agents, Scott Morris and Patrick Boyle for making this tour possible. As always, you can find more information about this amazing offering in the description of this video, so make sure to check it out. Now, next we're going to tour the bar.

Beautiful stone fabrication, dual elevation countertops with waterfall edges, bar seating. On the back, you can see that they use the same stone nicely bookmatched, TV in the center. And this bar has four full-size wine fridges.

In the center, we have the sink, two ice makers, fridges, everything you need. It's a phenomenal space. They even have a beer tap here, and this bar complements the seating area and rest of the great room. In fact, Dal stay right there.

Look at the space. Look at the span here. This is phenomenal. Now, before we continue, we're actually going to open this door so we can check out the movie theater. To my right, we have 150-inch screen, projector on the other side, Dolby Atmos surround sound, room is really well insulated, dual elevation seating here with these leather motorized recliner chairs. It's just a great spot for you to sit down.

Enjoy a movie with your friends and family. What do you think, Dal? - [Dal] Oh, it's so cozy. I'd love to spend a little more time here. I would love to as well, but we got a tour to do. In fact, let's go back to the great room so we can check out some of the other spaces.

Again, I really like this great room. Accoya clad ceiling, this dark stain and these modern fixtures complement each other so beautifully. And we brushed over the entry. I want to come back here for a second. The door to my left opens up the storage closet. There's another door that opens up to a beautiful powder bathroom with a separate water closet, Antonio Lupi vanity.

Now coming back here, double doors open up to the entry. Nice welcoming space. On the other side, we have the pocket doors opening up to an office. This room is front facing, nice chair, desk in the center, some built-ins on the back with some LED lighting, really nice space. Now let's go back to the great room, so we can cover the dining area, solid wood table, seating for 10.

The entire space is open and we have all these sliding glass doors seamlessly taking you to the backyard where we have the infinity edge pool. This is incredible. And next to the dining area is the kitchen.

And before we move on with the rest of our tour, I want to quickly thank Epidemic Sound for sponsoring today's video. Epidemic Sound is a platform that leads the industry in restriction-free music. They make it easy for creators like myself across all platforms to take their content to the next level without having to worry about any copyright strikes and potential termination of their accounts. I'm sure you noticed with all of our tours. Music is a key component in setting the tone of the entire video, whether it would be our intros, montages, and even experience sequences. One may not even notice how we have low volume music playing the entire time of the video, but that goes to show how crucial it is for the flow of the entire tour.

What makes Epidemic Sound so useful for us is that they have a large library of music and sound effects to choose from, so we can play around with different genres than need be. Not only that, but Epidemic can be used for all social channels such as Instagram and TikTok since it's easy to be flagged for copyright on those platforms as well. So if you want to take your content creation to the next level and try Epidemic Sound for yourself, make sure to click the link in the description of this video and use code ENES50 to get a free 30-day trial and receive a limited time offer for an additional two months for a 50 % off. Again, big thanks to Epidemic Sound for sponsoring today's video.

I can't recommend them enough. Now let's get back to our tour. Look how many islands we have here.

Not only we have three islands, these islands are massive. So much storage space. The first one features dual elevation countertops. So I love the solid wood addition with curved edges.

You have your bar seating here. Second one is the center island that houses your induction cooktop. Let's not forget the pop-up plugs, which tucks nicely down to the cabinetry. All the cabinet doors are vein matched, super modern. There's a really nice two-tone contrast between the wall cabinets and the islands. Again, your Gaggenau cooktop here with a pop-up vent sink on the other side, polished chrome fixtures.

Let's see, dishwashers right here. I just love how this kitchen is so integrated to the rest of the space. We have the family room to my left, dining area, seating area all the way to the bar. It is nice that you can interact with these spaces. Straight from your kitchen. Not to mention it also opens up to your backyard to the infinity edge pool.

This home is perfect for entertainment. Now, Dal, let's bring everybody to this side so we can show the Miele built-in appliances. We have two conventional ovens down below. I believe these are steam ovens.

Nice gray tones on the wall cabinets. So there's a beautiful two-tone contrast with the entire kitchen, your freezer. And I believe let's see, this is where we have the fridge nicely decorated. All right, let's continue our tour. It gets better because this kitchen also comes with a chef's kitchen.

Rest of the wall cabinets continue. Your espresso maker, another massive sink with a dishwasher. You have an induction cooktop here, and the door opens up to the wrap around deck that I mentioned off of the entry, which means your chef can come directly into the space. Or if you have groceries. You can bring 'em straight from the entry to this space. Nice thought-out detail and a home this size definitely calls for a chef's kitchen.

Now let's come back to the main kitchen again. This is your third island, additional bar seating. We have the family room on the other side opening up to a beautiful terrace. But first, we're going to go this way so we can check out the laundry room. Tons of base and upper cabinets, great countertop space with a sink, and we have a doggy wash around the corner, which is a detail that seems like a lot of people appreciate and enjoy. So I want to point that out.

Even dogs get a chrome fixture. Then you have a casement window bringing natural light, additional cabinetry, two washers, two dryers. Definitely a good size laundry room. Now let's check out this open, spacious, family room, massive sectional couch, coffee table in the center. Really like the carpet. Then you have some art pieces to warm up the space, chair on the other side.

Facing this direction, we have all these built-ins with LED lighting and right in the center, beautiful stone fireplace, which happens to be a water vapor fireplace. This is super cool. This is actually the second property we're touring that is developed by Marisol Malibu. Their first property also had these water vapor, I guess, fireplaces or features. And Marisol Malibu is very environmentally conscious development, and they really want to pick eco-friendly materials.

Not to mention they really want to reduce their carbon footprint. That's why instead of going with a regular gas burning fireplace, they decided to put this feature. I got to say, we started seeing these more often. We saw it in another property in Dubai, and here they have it in Malibu. Looks beautiful. I got to say, I dig it. It looks fun, right? Oh, it looks beautiful.

It's something you don't see every day either. Definitely. It just complements your seating area, gives a little bit more warmth. Obviously, you have your TV above, and the entire space opens up to a beautiful terrace that looks down to the grounds. This is phenomenal.

Now, I want to bring everybody back to the great room one more time. We toured the kitchen, dining area, seating area, all the way to the bar. Again, look at the span of this room, the volume you get here. And then we have all these sliding glass doors opening up to the backyard and the pool area, which we're going to cover later, because I want to actually take everybody all the way to the hallway right there so we can continue our tour with the right wing. This section features the gym and three guest suites. We're going to continue our tour with the first one.

Same porcelain floors continue. We have the built-in cabinetry on this side, queen-size bed, great ceiling height. You have your recessed in lights and built-in speakers on the ceiling. This guest suite seamlessly opens up to the outdoors. We have this wooden deck flowing you to your backyard and that's the Pacific Ocean.

This is incredible. The landscaping of this property is so beautiful and lush. I got to say, I do feel like I'm in Hawaii, even though Malibu is just as beautiful and they've done a phenomenal job embracing that Hawaiian spirit and showcasing it on this beautiful home. What do you think, Dal? - [Dal] I think you're definitely right about the Hawaiian feel, but I think the look of it might be a little Monaco based on your suit choice today. We were in Monaco a few weeks ago, and I'm still not over the spirit there.

It was just so nice. We got a chance to tour some properties, some yachts, and I wanted to bring that look to Malibu today. That's why I'm wearing a button shirt and just pants, no suit. I'm just taking it easy. I'm embracing this Pacific Ocean spirit, even though I look a little bit Monaco. No, you look great. Maybe we'll leave it up to the audience.

What do you guys think? Do you like Enes's European suit or his California style? Let us know in the comments below. This backyard is so beautiful. We're going to see it more later in the tour. Now let's go back in because this guest suite. Comes with a full bathroom, floating vanity, spacious walk-in shower, separate water closet, everything you need. Now let's jump back to the hallway so we can check out the next room.

This one is really interesting. Glass enclosed, door opens up, and welcome to the gym. Dumbbell, Peloton stationary bike, your rowing machine, and the entire room, of course, opens up to the outdoors.

We're now facing the motor court, and look at the space. You have your yoga deck, tropical stream, beautiful landscaping, grass section up here. This is fantastic. Even your gym interacts with the outdoors. And of course, let's not forget the Santa Monica Mountain Range.

Going back in, your gym also leads you to the spa. Double doors open up, porcelain floors. We have the vanity right in the center with two sinks, gloss-finished cabinetry, massive mirror. Water closet is on this side, and this glass door opens up to your Redwood sauna, which, as expected, smells incredible.

And on the other side, you have a stone-clad walk-in shower with chrome fixtures and a rain head. Good size spa. Now let's walk back out to the gym. I also want to mention I forgot this detail.

Your gym comes with a wet bar. Now, going back to the hallway, we are going to talk about the second guest suite, which is at the end of this hallway. It's another spacious bedroom that opens up to the backyard, comes with a full bathroom.

Now let's go check out the third guest suite. Again, built-in cabinetry to my right, queen-size bed, great ceiling height, sliding glass doors, open up to a wooden deck, leading you to the backyard. And of course, around the corner, we have the full bathroom.

Nice modern vanity with stone countertops. Water closet is nicely tucked in here with a pocket door. And next to the water closet, we have the walk-in shower, really unique textured tile, chrome fixtures, glass enclosed, and on the other side, we have another vanity. That's right. This bathroom comes with two vanity. Styles are all matching, and it gets better.

You have this door opening up to an outdoor shower. That's right. You heard me correctly. We've been talking about it for a minute. This house has a Hawaiian esthetic.

It's here in Malibu, and weather in Malibu is fantastic. It's nice that all these guest suites that we just covered get an outdoor shower. What do you think, Dal? Isn't this really cool? That's awesome. I think we've seen a lot of these outdoor showers on island properties. It's cool to see one here in Malibu. Absolutely.

They've really embraced that Hawaiian energy. It's nice that all these rooms, even the bathrooms, are promoting you to go outdoors, which is fantastic. Now, Dal, stay right there. I'm going to meet you in a second. All right, now let's check out this amazing backyard.

Again, you have a wooden deck here flowing you to these views, Pacific Ocean on the other side. This is incredible. This place is so tranquil and relaxing. I'm out of words. I have to commend the development team here for their attention to detail when it comes to designing this home, integrating it to the outdoors and the time and resources they spend on landscaping here is phenomenal.

Property looks great. Now, this is actually the second property we're touring that's done by Marisol Malibu. The first one is right next door. And if you haven't watched that tour, I'll make sure to put a link in the description. That was the first zero carbon certified home in California. With global warming and various environmental concerns in mind, this zero-carbon Malibu home represents an innovative approach to environmentally conscious residences.

Part of the zero series homes is showcased as sustainable luxury and is dedicated to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, relying entirely on electricity without the need of any fossil fuel energy sources. Constructed with eco-friendly materials, including locally certified lumber and a high recycled standing seam aluminum roof. These homes also utilize low carbon concrete, rebar, and steel, resulting in an impressive 42% reduction in embodied carbon emissions, equivalent to removing approximately 80 cars from the road annually.

The property's commitment to a net zero carbon footprint is evident through the integration of Tesla batteries, solar panels, and a 100% renewable energy source. The house also features induction cooktops, an electric barbecue, and water vapor fireplaces, along with highly efficient heat pumps for pool heating instead of energy-consuming gas heaters. What distinguishes the Marisol Malibu community is their seamless integration of low carbon and carbon sequestering elements into their homes without compromising design or luxury. While these advanced techniques may pose challenges for developers, the Marisol Malibu team is well-prepared for the task, and we are proud to highlight their hard work with this home. Now, continuing our tour, you can see the California lava rock that they use on this section.

Instead of going for these bulky gutters, they use rain chains to connect the gutter systems to the grounds. It's a fun mid-century modern take. But during rainy conditions, obviously, you can see water running on them, and it's just a fun take.

I know, Dal, you like rain chains. Oh, I love them. You were pointing it out earlier. Oh, yeah. They make a nice calming sound.

They're great. They are great. Now, look at the rest of the grounds. Grass section continues. We have the putting green on the other side.

Your primary bedroom suite, which we're going to check out in a second. Infinity edge pool, and the entire first floor opens up to these views. Now let's talk about the rest of the grounds for a second.

We have an amazing tennis court with a full bathroom. You have small gardens, fruit orchards, and pretty much the entire two acres is nicely landscaped. That way you can enjoy every bit of it. Now, going up the steps here, we have the pool area. This section is nicely elevated with the infinity edge pool right in the center. Starting from the right wing, you have this covered section with space heaters, outdoor seating area, another water vapor fireplace, and you can see that they wrapped the California lava rock to the other side, TV, nice organic finishes.

This is also a Accoya wood that's on the ceiling treated for the outdoors. Before we cover this section, I also want to point out that we have a pool bathroom on this side with a walk-in shower. Now let's check out this infinity edge pool. This section looks so dreamy. Look at these views.

Property is nicely landscaped. It is super private. Then you have all these sliding glass doors opening up to this patio where you have lounging beds, outdoor dining area, and more space for you to entertain and enjoy.

Pool looks really cool with this simple plaster. We have the Jacuzzi on the left and on the other side. To complement this patio, we have an outdoor kitchen. Dual elevation countertops with bar seating and down below we have glass cabinetry, small fridge, grill, TV, sink on the other side. I also really like the umbrella that's above us.

Now let's go back into the home so we can continue our tour with the primary bedroom suite. The hallway that takes us there is located right next to the kitchen. That hallway brings us to this point where we have the entry door. It's a nice pivot door and it welcomes you to the primary bedroom.

The size of this room is incredible. Between the width, ceiling height and the amount of natural light comes in, this is a very impressive space. Look how little this king-size bed looks. Then we have a seating area in front of it and in front of that additional seating area with these motorized sliding glass doors opening up to the outdoors that we're going to check out in a second. Of course, you have another sliding glass door connecting you to the patio.

Then we have another seating area with a shou sugi ban clad wall that features the water vapor fireplace, TV above, and this TV is actually on a motorized arm. So, Dal, let's hit it, push of a button. You can extend this TV and face your bed so you can enjoy it straight from your bed. Pretty cool. Now, Dal, let's bring everybody to this side. Of course, we have these motorized sliding glass doors opening up to bedroom, to the outdoors, putting green right in front of us, and the Pacific Ocean.

This is incredible. These are the views you get straight from your bedroom. In fact, Dal, can you go back for a second? I want everybody to see what you get to wake up every single morning straight from your bed. This is it. Welcome to Malibu. All right, continuing our tour, we have this long hallway that takes us to the walk-in closet and the bathroom. First, we're going to check out the walk-in closet.

This room certainly matches the scale of the primary bedroom suite. We have an island right in the center, built-in cabinetry, these thin framed glass doors. I also really like how the shelves and the frame of the cabinetry are different color. There's this contrast, LED lighting, hangers, ton of storage area in this walk-in closet.

Now follow me this way. Off of the entry of the closet, we also have a small wet bar with a fridge, sink, and an Espresso maker above. Really nice detail dedicated to the primary bedroom. Now we have the primary bathroom in front of us. I'm going right into the center first.

Look how big this room is. That's your walk-in shower. Dal, let's pivot here for a second. Your first floating vanity with this really unique textured tile on the back and with the LED lit mirror, it creates this beautiful look. I believe this is a water closet. There you go.

With a Toto toilet and then next to that is your walk-in shower. And I'm going right in. We have two of everything. Your first rain head. Second one on the other side, beautiful stone wall with a built-in bench, mood lighting above, and it benefits from the natural light that comes in to this room, and you can enjoy the views straight from your shower. Water closet number two, and then you have this long vanity with a sink and a makeup area.

So they took advantage of this long wall here and ran the cabinetry all the way. Now, the focal point of this primary bathroom, in my opinion, is this freestanding tub, has a circular design, standalone tub filler. Then we have another tub filler above, which is a rain head, TV on the other side, same textured tile continues, and this entire space opens up to these phenomenal views where you can enjoy it straight from your bathroom. Chef's kiss. And with that, we're done with the primary bathroom. Now let's jump back to the family room so we can check out the left wing where we have the guest house.

We saw this space earlier, sectional couch, TV on the other side. And this family room opens up to a really nice outdoor terrace where we have an outdoor seating area. You can actually see the terrace of the guest home from here as well.

We even have parrots on the trees, which is fantastic. All right, let's continue our tour. Long hallway, some cabinetry to our left door opens up to the motor court, and this door here opens up to a really nice powder bathroom, floating vanity with a natural stone countertop and this really unique mosaic tile runs all the way to the ceiling. Now coming back to the hallway, there's another door here that opens up to a guest suite. This one comes with a queen bed, faces the front of the home.

And it also features a full bathroom and a walk-in closet as well. Now we're going to continue our tour with this glass bridge that connects the main structure to the guest's home. And without a doubt, one of the coolest moments in this house. Look at these massive picture windows facing each side. We have a tropical stream that runs below us.

Landscaping of the property and the experience of walking from one side to another. Great natural light coming in. They even placed these motorized casement windows here so you can bring some natural ventilation to this space. Recessed in floor lights.

I'm sure this space also looks phenomenal at night. And what a cool moment and what an interesting way for you to enjoy the outdoors while you're going from one wing to another. Now the door in front of us opens up to the guest house. We have a good size kitchen here, seating area on the other side.

But first, let's pull everybody to the terrace. We were literally on the other side a few minutes ago. And again, nice water feature, tranquil setting, beautiful landscaping.

Even your guest house benefits from the grounds. Now coming back to the kitchen, you have a good size island with some bar seating, rest of your base cabinetry, Fridge, microwave, sink on the other side, additional uppers. And you can actually access this guest house through the door right here, which opens up to the motor court. And on the other side, we have a nice, spacious seating area with a TV, great ceiling height, Accoya clad ceiling. It's a fantastic room. And you can also use this space as an additional bedroom because around the corner, we have a full bathroom.

It's nice that this space can work as a powder bathroom for the seating area. But it also comes with a walk-in shower with a massive casement window, vanities on this side, and really nice bathroom. Now, going back to the hallway, some cabinetry, door to my left opens up to a laundry room with a sink, washer, and dryer. At the end, we have another door that opens up to the bedroom suite for the guest house, king-size bed on this side. Casement windows are bringing natural light. Then you have your sliding glass doors opening up to the grounds, TV, two separate walk-in closets.

Definitely a fantastic room. I also appreciate that it has another outdoor access so someone can come into this space without having to go through the house. Of course, this bedroom has an amazing bathroom that starts here. Off of the entry, we have a floating vanity with darker cabinets and countertop, massive mirror, separate water closet on the other side.

Then we have this glass door opening up to this very, very spacious walk-in shower, all stone clad, rain head, handheld. And this walk-in shower also has a massive picture window where you can appreciate the outdoors. It is super private. It's a very, very nice touch.

With that, we're done with our tour. And now, let's see this home. At dusk. All right, everyone. That's it for the tour. Hope you all enjoyed it.

Big thanks to the team at Marisol Malibu and the listing agents, Scott Morris and Patrick Boyle for making this tour possible. And as always, you can find more information about this unique offering in the description of this video, so make sure to check it out. I also look forward to reading your thoughts on this house in the comments down below. And if you enjoyed our tour, make sure to give us a like, subscribe, and we'll see you guys on the next one.
