Grandpa Recommends Me The Best Slovak Drive-through Restaurant in Bratislava
Hello welcome back to my channel so in today's video I'm making my way into the nature To a Salas drive-through not a McDonald's drive-through But a Salas drive-through here in the forest to get myself some traditional Slovak food so i am on The outskirts of Bratislava but the capital of Slovakia going to get myself some food At this drive-through Salas let's go and here's the sign in that direction Alright let's go in that direction. This Salas is in a nationally protected area, all of these Trees and these bushes that you can see surrounding me Right looks like it's going to be quite busy here what's the time 11 31. look how busy it is wow here's the salad Salas drive-thru awesome let's go So they got loads of animals there as well I can hear them, seems like it's really busy today wow Salas drive through now that's interesting that's something you don't usually hear of or come across Every day a Salas drive-through and it's a driving it's a wooden one Wow and this is for the drive-through Just put your card details here touch your card And you get your traditional Slovak food. Also there's a menu here as well Really looking forward to it Oh wow have a look at this place beautiful They are so big, right they've got a kids playing area down in this direction as Well but let's have a look what they have here. These are rabbits wow what are these? House rabbits kralik domaci, house rabbits. Have a look at them oh baby rabbit
Oh these rabbits are cute Wow house rabbits These look like baby ones. I've got a house rabbit at home bloody annoying doesn't do anything Not as good as hens just sits there, ah goose have a look at the goose there's so many And there's ducks interesting hidden little place you would not think they have such place Hidden here inside this national protected area here on the outskirts of Bratislava about the Capital of Slovakia a Salas drive-through and have a look this is amazing this place There's a kids playing area There's so many This place is the most interesting Salas I've ever been to and the biggest An outdoor oven like a fireplace here they got wood a gathering area wow Looks like the ducks are being fed now I'm I'm sweating its so hot. Let's go let's continue the journey What do we have here? This Salas drive through is really interesting i was not expecting to see All of these animals here They're just eating their bread now and they got their water there, it's a really hot day today wow let's go really hot day I fancy a beer oh so hot and sweaty right Wow this place is really big really really big wow Let's see Wow um kind of out here in the opening not sure Where to walk to I'm just making my direction through the grass here now So i can see the restaurant is in that direction here are the toilets Oh that smells nice it smells some really nice food That's a nice greeting Wow and here it is from the other side Wow this is a Salas drive-through this is a really amazing have a look check this out So interesting this place and i can see they have like kids play area here Well have a look oh wow beautiful wooden house wow that is beautiful have a look That is adorable This place is huge. Wow check out the wooden house, really awesome wow The wooden sculpture wow Really interesting place here. Wow, wow This is amazing Wow this is absolutely amazing this place Wow 1883 wow wow it's pretty old Okay Wow super really nice shop and they have like bio farm products in here really interesting I Came here to get my traditional Slovak food today but then I was really surprised and Amazed how much farm animals I encountered and how big this place was absolutely amazing wow Oh super it's really hot day today absolutely hot Oh delicious, oh so refreshing Sweating so much wow some farm corbett cheek here And a drink but I'm going to get get myself now some traditional Slovak food I'm going to try to stringed cheese now biopharma straight from the farm Hmm delicious obviously it's farm stringed cheese Right let's go get some food All right let's go right Got my farm stringed cheese had a really delicious apple drink Time to get some food this place is really really big Wow right let's get some food this house is adorable here is the Salas They have seating areas outside, have a sand play area here for kids as well. And here it is Salas. I'm gonna go and get something to eat now It's going to be really interesting super let's have a look inside wow Super looks really nice in here Have a look Wow looks absolutely cool in here right? And this is like an outdoor seating area and it's really good I'll order my food I guess I'll sit outside Wow really nice seating area here Really nice I'm gonna sit out there in that direction but have a look here Cool place it'll be done wow i like the look of this place And I'm sure I'm going to really like what they got on the menu traditional Slovak food today So the plan is to sit down here outside on this nice beautiful day and enjoy Some traditional Slovak food on the outskirts of Bratislava but in the capital of Slovakia here And this drive-through Salas. Really cool wow have a look check this place out Really interesting Wow check out that old fireplace looks like some communist fireplace some Czechoslovakia Awesome wooden sculpture really nice place in here so now I'm going to sit down And have some traditional Slovak food let's go I'll be sitting right there today so I've got my stringed cheese And this is where i will sit oh what a beautiful place i love restaurants in Slovakia the Salas I've been to some really nice restaurants in Slovakia and i have never been Disappointed especially with the food as well. I'm at the bio farmer here here is the menu So i will get a traditional Slovak beer the the best one i reckon And traditional Slovak food so here's the beer menu This looks good mm Wow This menu looks absolutely good look at this wow really nice layout this place All right so i have decided I'm going to order something I have never had Today here in Slovakia. This one here Here traditional Slovak food and they also have And i will get myself traditional Slovak beer all right let's wait for the beer now The food what they made is homemade because they have a stringed cheese here they have Sheep here so they make everything here on this farm It's really interesting to come here and try the real thing because the Zincica come on It's going to be the real thing here right because this is on a farm you don't think i'll poop my pants right after having beer and ginger nah i'll let you know how it taste All right and here it is Zincica Smells like sour milk, here we go Sour milk This one does not taste any different to the one that i had But you know what this one is not so thick it's got bits inside it tastes like a yogurt sour milk A little bit creamy and milky in texture have a look really it's nicer than the other one i tasted Near Strecno. This one is not so sour really really thin this one it's not so thick
It has bits inside as well Wow the food will be here now really looking forward To it I'm in a great mood the sun's shining I love going to restaurants and hearing enjoy your meal, wow have a look Never had this before here's my food This is it traditional Slovak food Here we are, it looks absolutely delicious. Mmm smells nice as well first bite here we go Delicious And chives inside on top. So this is pork, have a knife as well Delicious food Great this food is so delicious Delicious have a closer look So the dumplings has like a soft taste and it's with a cabbage and the cabbage has got like A sweet and sour taste and the which is the ham Wow it's very salty but it's a really good combination with the cabbage The dumplings the pork everything I like everything it's really nice this food Thumbs up Big juicy piece of meat Delicious This seems to be a really big portion as well I'm getting quite full up already big big portion Hmm delicious so much as any as well and it's not dry The food have a look you can clearly see it's not dry really nice So I've had so much traditional things here today I had the Zincica I've had the Slovak beer and the traditional Slovak food and now I'm going to have Brandy awesome Check out the glass fancy right? Never seen one of these glasses before So here we are now over this traditional Slovak meal having brandy The taste of the border which get in my mouth is like a mint herbal taste It's unusual to describe if you haven't had this taste before that's the only Thing i can describe it as to you. There's some cyclists come in here It's getting really busy at the moment Right so this is where we are now nearly finished It was a great meal enjoyed everything the beer the brandy the food And this is something new I've never tried this meal before Even the bee wants to try it Delicious Awesome Buzz off Absolutely delicious Slovak food is really nice by the way never been disappointed Soft and tender meat Delicious You can see they put kmin inside as well Wow delicious final bite Wow scrape the plate You're not finished until you scrape the plate there you go Delicious wow Thumbs up Okay Right time to get smashed had traditional Slovak food now time to get smashed tour this place Look at all the animals again, they got toilets over there as well really cool toilets there on the farm Sour milk. It was a good experience though to come here on this farm and have the real Zincica
Wow all right that's rob What do i like most Slivovice or Brandy? I liked the Slivovice because it has more of a a nicer taste tastes stronger the Brandy has more of a minty herby taste but the sliver of it has more of a fruity Taste so i would rather go with a fruity taste than the minty herbal taste but oh well who cares Also the Brandy is really good and it helps you if you have a blocked nose which One time i had a blocked nose before and i have Brandy And because it has medicinal purposes and healing purposes because it's like a herb drink made from Herbs i had it and i had a really blocked nose and my nose unblocked and i was like wow ever Since then when i had a blocked nose i went to the shop any excuse to drink Brandy Right Cheers Great I'm cooled down now I was really hot a while ago I was sweating pints But i had a couple beers and I'm feeling refreshed to now time to go pay. Let's go Great food great great food right I enjoyed my meal obviously i had to give them a tip such a Great place nice and big great for adults good for kids as well to have a look at the animals And just enjoy the place really nice here Wow so it's time now to have a look at the rest of the things let's go. I'm gonna use the toilets And this is the toilets This is what it looks like in a drive-through salash wooden toilet Great And this is the ladies Interesting all right so something I would like to get These are for kids so my kids son and daughter, so I'm choosing what one would they like I reckon they would enjoy the whistles more right Okay Right so I've got two whistles for my kids let's try them out Awesome They also have the Slovak flag on them let's try it on oh it's too Too small for my head it's for kids check this out wow Look at that oh that is so refreshing oh Oh lovely Oh that is so great Right let's make our way through in the distance I can see horses And here are the horses Not allowed to feed them Horses It's a big horse Hello wow big horse Quite dusty here So this is where their their house is where they stay As you can see you're not allowed to feed the horses here Wow a really big place for a Salas right? Goats wow check out the thorns on its head wow Hello Wow Wow So cool There's one underneath there such a it's a really hot day today I'm not surprised they're hiding underneath this wooden hut catching a bit of shade Let's keep going what do we have here Wow sheep Wow here are sheep hello sheep whoa That's a sheep wow Hello sheep This one's making loads of noise This one's making all the rattling noises Here they have some birds That looks like a pigeon that one there It's like a bird family This is a duck there's goose, duck duck goose Wow this place is really big Wow let's see what they have done here you can hear that sheep just rattling away in the distance So this is a national protected area here by the way Wow what do we have here Wow Let's see over here Wow Some slleeping pigs All right Hello hot sheep, another sleeping pig Another sleeping pig This one has just stayed in this position for so long.
