Some highlights before starting the tour! Today, I'm staying at Budapest's most luxurious hotel, the Four Seasons Gresham Palace. Completed in 1906 as an office and apartment building, it is today a luxury hotel managed by Four Seasons Hotels. Located in the heart of Budapest, this art nouveau palace hotel embodies the spirit of Budapest’s Golden Era glam. It is located along the River Danube, next to Széchenyi Square and the Chain Bridge's eastern end.
Let's go inside! I'm very excited to be staying in this beautiful hotel. The entrance is large and separates the reception and lobby area from the outside. It truly feels like entering a palace with this grand, imposing door.
Entering the main lobby! WOW! Very beautiful! On the right side guests can find the reception! On the left side is KOLLÁZS restaurant where breakfast, lunch and dinner is served. Here some details about the Gresham Palace are presented. Built in 1906, it was originally commissioned by the Gresham Life Assurance Company of London as an opulent office and residential building. During World War II, the palace suffered damage and was later used as government offices. After the fall of communism, it underwent a major restoration, reopening in 2004 as the Four Seasons Gresham Palace, one of Budapest’s most luxurious hotels.
At the heart of the lobby lies a beautiful, relaxing space, where an elegant chandelier hangs beneath the majestic dome. Here guests can enjoy beautiful crafted cocktails in the newly opened lobby bar MÚZSA. In the lobby, the large stones are actually remnants from the building's original structure. These stones highlight the architectural heritage of the palace, preserving a connection to its early 20th-century origins while blending seamlessly with the luxurious Art Nouveau design of the hotel. Let's turn left! A small exposition of luxury bags. Here you'll find a grand, spacious hall that feels like a place where aristocrats and high-ranking officials, once held lavish balls.
This room is absolutely stunning, with perfectly chosen colors that create a luxurious, glamorous atmosphere while remaining warm, bright, and inviting. Light blue evokes a sense of calm, freshness, and serenity. It can also bring a subtle regal elegance, reminiscent of historic palaces and grand ballrooms. The beautiful combination of beige, sand tones, and neutral shades, creates an elegant and harmonious ambiance. I truly feel calm and relaxed in this hotel! Let's explore more! We've arrived again at Muzsa bar! Here you can find the same combination of colors, blend of beige, sand tones, and soft blue. Attention to detail is a signature characteristic of Four Seasons hotels! Every table is adorned with a fresh purple flower and a delicate peacock feather. Returning to my beautiful suite after the most amazing experience at Gresham Palace Afternoon Tea. The sunset light is beautifully filling the room. Since we're so close, I decided to take a stroll to the most iconic attraction in Budapest. Let’s enjoy a night walk to the Chain Bridge! You can see the hotel across the street! The Chain Bridge (Széchenyi Lánchíd) is one of the city's most iconic landmarks, connecting Buda and Pest across the Danube River. Designed by the British engineer William Tierney Clark and built by Hungarian engineer István Széchenyi, it features two grand stone lions at each end and a series of iron chains that support the structure.
Opened in 1849, it was the first permanent bridge to span the river, revolutionising travel and trade between the two parts of the city. Before we walk on the bridge, let’s head down the stairs and enjoy the stunning view from the river side. The lights reflecting on the water make it even more magical.
Now we are walking on the famous bridge! It takes about 10 minutes to walk across the Chain Bridge! I'm on my way back to the hotel! We are in front of the Kollazs restaurant. The hotel is conveniently located right on the street leading to St. Stephen's Basilica. Ending my day with a delicious dinner.
I was too tired to go for the restaurant experience, so I decided to enjoy a cozy dinner in my room instead. I opted for some local delicacies: the goulash soup and a classic Wiener schnitzel. The night time is even more beautiful! After a good night sleep, let's have some breakfast! Breakfast is served at KOLLÁZS restaurant.
The name KOLLÁZS, the Hungarian word for “collage,” emphasises creative combinations in every aspect of the dining experience. Guests are welcomed to their table. Let's see what's on the menu! Breakfast is served à la carte and as a buffet.

The spa's facial treatments use prestigious, nourishing face and body products, offering a luxurious and rejuvenating experience. I couldn’t film the spa as there were already guests there, but it looks very relaxing (photo in the left corner). The gym is upstairs! All the equipment you need for an efficient training! Thanks for watching!
