resistance and the minister of Science and Technology my very distinguished police Mr have you been saying Mr Simla Mr apples Chandra all uh distinguish guests who joined us from all the G20 countries and all the in Whitey countries all resistant guests would come from International organizations uh I'm truly delighted to be welcoming all of you to this lovely destination and I would say this is not a destination this is truly a unique experience uh foreign [Music] um [Laughter] I believe it has everything to offer um example the best practices and therefore I believe that this won't understand [Laughter] spices [Laughter] when I came here [Applause] began with movies [Laughter] [Music] and later [Laughter] other places and um [Laughter] or being shot in India during this period and therefore what we've seen today is that actually this impact of two-way process this has led to uh not really television not really commercial not merely oddp platforms like Netflix Amazon Prime and more there are over 370 films 370 films rejected permissions to shoot in taxi 370 films being shot and therefore you will see a vast number of films being shot here by the like many Indian foods have been shot abroad but in India let me tell you having traveled across the world that is and I can tell you very sincerely that there is uh the finest destination anywhere in the World to shoot a movie and to shoot a romance that it cannot be a better place than casually and therefore uh we will the government of Kashmir the government of India will also great great stories from this great destination uh I'm truly delighted to be here on this and welcome you all to this great session uh this wonderful session on film tours when tourism is something uh which has led to Great Destinations being created uh we'll soon be joined by a very legendary film actor from India Mr Ram travel and this is [Music] a dance on which the South Korean Ambassador danced and became a big hero because the Prime Minister also tweeted is done sweethearted his dance that film was actually shot that particular dance sequence was shot in the presidency with Palace of Ukraine so there is a two-way process but I will tell you that we believe that in the world of globalization in the world where we want a flow of ideas where we want a flow of creativity when we fought a flow of a unique conditions to flow from one place to another there cannot be a better place than Kashmir with all its peace progress and prosperity with its unique culture with its unique handicraft with its unique envelope with its unique art forms and much opportunity in the next couple of days uh so ladies and gentlemen I'm truly delighted to welcome you I think this opportunity to welcome the entrepreneurship the situation ready to lose a very one of our very Dynamic ministers and to welcome Mr Japan scene who's uh who's not really a great Minister belongs to the state of Japan uh I would like to complement the ministry of Tourism for all the hard work uh the minister and his secretary has have carried out I would also like to compliment all my colleagues particularly Mr Simla for all the coordination for all the hard work is Young all of us all the team has worked very hard here our joint secretary Logistics all of us all of them have done a lot of hard work to make you stay comfortable and we really wish that you enjoyed have a great break from all the hard work that many of you put it in your countries and in Delhi and may you all enjoy Kashmir as a great venue for not nearly film tourism today was saying Lord minister of state with independent charge of Science and Technology who's leading from the front carrying forward the argument Mission and honorable Prime Ministers inspiring vision of a developed India by 2047 and Ladies and Gentlemen let's put our hands together to welcome down to the minister for Country sharing necessing news photographers [Applause] thank you honorable minister of Tourism and development of Northeastern religion a very good friend whom I've known for many years both professionally as well as in my personal capacity and who has been very tirelessly working over the last several months in order to make sure that the G20 series goes well I must thank you for making all of us apart of this evening it's because of him and his efforts that we are here as we are having this beautiful even being organizing the beautiful guys also see you next time you just join I don't think I have to make an interaction because people come to see us because we are sitting inside me so we have you just now have a very dynamic always still recently was part of our University our class in their game Life all the officials of the industry of Tourism dedicates representatives from different equities okay I think on the last few moments when I was trying to capture what Allah I was seeing and I was also received we first Foundation a moment of real cognition and I'm sure many of you agree with reactors for those who are who belong to my inspiration that this even has actually transported us back to about half a century an executive 50 years back we had another star from Mumbai who should be like beside the Delhi and certainly entirely rocking in his Syria and his name is home and sometimes I wonder I didn't think so that is the magic of History a series of movies I think also but contributed immensely personified and many like him would stay here for months together the iconic hotel we have Sitting besides us one of the favorite about where they would say that because it was known as override and the entirely I remember one of the movies the old time um as they got some girls from their own college to be the audience some of you still remember it takes you back and I think after that it was also because kashri was professionally also I think the best location is fine because it's versatile you have plateaus there and your legs here your frontals here you snow Peaks here your skating area there is and it's very cost effective you have to look out and say you don't have to travel to Holiday it's just beside the hotel where some of our visitors are living so all this made International destination and in the process it became a huge Avenue of Revenue as well as business we had school boys and girls going part-time jobs as extras as Clapper boys the song besides the temple we had one of our local news so it became a huge vocation actually about 1990. and um Bobby so what is significance and after that he gave that to an autobiographical which was good but it didn't work so as an advance he came back his natural choices he didn't go to God to prove it that he was back so that I think this is something the Next Generation needs to be informed about because suddenly 1990 thereafter there was a heart and the serious researchers of these tries to realize that many of those movies which are being shot in Kashmir event during that time [Music] was henna the last movie which Raj kapo directed during his lifetime he passed away somewhere in late 1980s that is but by the time they started it was 1989 90 everything came to heart and I believe it's all because Rishi used to be quiet unfortunately no longer with us now they had to do a lot of search across the world okay in Vienna now you can imagine how much of resource about your past how much so that is kashmi it's not only that we sing songs out of out of being attached to this place or be romantic about it or being philosophical about it or being trying to create and think about it it's also that you see as a hardcore professional you have no choice no better option and then I think now this is the time of Reviving that's why you said a moment of real urination and the other part which is also not much talked about because our memory goes back only before the maximum then maximum Payback but the first star of Bombay industry was produced I don't know how many English foreign Lahore he was from West Pakistan who's if you read The Archives first who gave him he used to perform in theater over here they went to Simla as a Salesman in some company there he discovered he was discovered Bollywood took over and capital also shifted over to Bombay the national capital then he took him over the world and in the recent times only but another Punjabi family doctor decided and his nephews my senior in college is now a very successful producer he's recently made a movie called BNA so you wanted to go shooting outside upsc office I think it's really really fun so we have contributed yes you said so was Sundar the other comedy but one of the iconic Stars was Rajkumar foreign traffic while Bollywood benefited Kashmir also contributed to it and now if you have a reminder of this city traffic stars is going to be a hard figure of this video when his leg shakes because because but once the Gateway was open you will see people use our broad coming here because you can't find all the rotations whether the radius of just 10 20 kilometers and even if you just have to sit at them in one of these Gardens and show the entire field and as I mean I was saying that is a synonymous with romantic City advice also been synonymous romantic songs without singing your soul over there and then you also have the Mist behind and in a longboard walking out and singing the last line of that famous poem because science is very lyrics were adopted you to be movies okay foreign [Music] [Music] you don't have to use steam showers in this together as you use if you have seen a movie will be shot it will happen magically just had to walk to a different period where the Lord is a long board also signifying a melancholian scientists and said that one last life of the sound in a different location unit so that I think is only a cinematographer someone who is deeply involved in the business of filmmaking will be able to appreciate you have a win-win situation over here a very very location over here and many of The Producers I have known personally who will come here with a very little cost and they would open boys and girls and they would do the rest of the job happening so I think this is a huge huge potential I'm glad I must complimenting you our friend doctor will investor for tourism they are coming out with a natural strategy on film tourism and therefore when the film tourism happens youngsters we have a very handsome lot of Youth over here who are looking for breaks so they will also find a break in Bollywood Bollywood every Road at the same time or Bakery in 1960s was next known to be next to London Bridge because we had so many of so much of influx of the foreign told us that our local boys and girls learn to speak English and learn to prepare English cakes so it's a it's a multivarious enrichment which is going to happen I must compliment and thank you and his team for giving us this opportunity we were waiting to happen would go back as passengers and tell them this is how it appears when I was entering in some media personality what is the difference like this over here we made from Islamabad and his innocence from here but people going around with their activity once there and in fact the common man has moved on if you do a quiet survey the common man walking in the streets of Siri wants to move on he's in two generations having not lost at the order of these incompatible times the Youth of Kashmir is highly respirational I be forward looking very intelligent and very very aspirational you can see the enormous opportunities unfolded by Prime Minister Modi and he does not wish to miss the bus so for God's sake I think his responsibility of all of us and we avoiding to the Common Man of fishing most of the Youth of Christian to create such kind of a video that we at the end of the day do not regret having to be unjust to our children having that Injustice to our next solution thank you very much and once again he is also a Roman star and Grand Theft available minister of Tourism culture and development of Northeast region government of India to kindly address audits online newspaper in Mumbai today you can follow his reviews and writings on Cinemas and monsters so ladies and Gentlemen let's welcome three men Sharma and now sir the stage and our special guests are all yours degrees [Music] and delegates to this fascinating Far Side conversation on Hulu's capitalism with what what should I say the global star of the Academy Award winning for many other things ladies and gentlemen I think it deserves a big round of applause thank you my hardest thing is I'm pretty sure over the past six months you've got to tell you talking about the awesome evil you know that the RR you know put the whole world and we were so excited watching this development from here in India so you will have to excuse me because I would have to ask you this which is what was it like going through the whole Oscar campaign in the United States of all which is a G20 member country in Japan Dubai also went uh and they moved to the film which is another G20 country I mean what was that craze what did you see uh what did you make of it what did you learn foreign [Music] [Music] is so special I shy away from talking about my achievements I feel like a third person man somebody's talking about our achievements I feel like I'm listening about something and somebody else that's how detached I am with my work but not with RR is not just my film it is become India's Ambassador is here I've seen your video sir thank you so much we have a result Our Song anymore fantastic so right after the session I am excited to have a dance off with you so look at saying it's not my movie it's not my song it's not my Academy Award it's not my direction my composer who wanted it's the people who want it it's the people who have taken it to the academies to the lonely globe and for me to get I have an opportunity to talk about it again it's not about talking about me it's talking about the people and people's love for yourself but tell me something uh I mean of course we mentioned the fact that it's you know it's box office it was a very well known it's 1 200 crore as was rightly pointed out at the beginning of this conversation but you're looking at a film that became the most worst International Film in the history of Netflix and pretty much everywhere you look someone or the other is dancing and you've already said you're going to be doing it in the end so I'm gonna put you know uh take a word for it what explains this unique and Universal connect to this particular film in an International Way in a way that everyone in the world could see him and just be drawn to it [Music] so and I swear to God none of the team members knew it is going to reach you are so happy for what the appreciation we got in India the highest grosser the highest grossing film in India we were more than happy and actually moved on to my next project and then we got a call saying some theaters the Chinese Theater in L.A some audience are really appreciate in your film I said okay good 250 350 people 650 people in the theater enjoyed it and that became viral I couldn't stop it so you just like to get differences happening the very days I mean if there's no point in thinking and redoing this in any case right it is it is what it was but did you have a crazy fan moment did you like to look at this person like what's going on 95 years since our industry has begun into 95 years for our Indian food industry to get that recognition internationally yeah I'm just proud of that fact that the west or the beasts have taken interest interests in our films and our emotion which is so rooted to our culture our Traditions not even any other countries feelings or emotions this is a true Indian director true Indian producer a true Indian actors two Indian emotion and this went across the globe achieve what it achieved and just proud I thank my director for doing this it is not a Hollywood studio hiring as as actors yes you know this is a pure [Music] which makes complete sense it also became in every way the global space of India to its Cinema through those months and through RR of course I'm just wondering if you were to meet and you did meet some refill Breakers from across the globe when you were foreign filmmakers from across the world to this country to come and shoot especially someone who's been influenced for so long what would the place where would you start from what kind of places would you definitely tell filmmakers from across the world to come and shoot here one of the cool places that you've sorted because I shot in many countries from the East to the north I've shot in Iceland correct the coldest coldest but the common species of software in India one year yeah so if you were invited right now because I say this you won't believe foreign [Music] that kind of a place I've been coming here because my dad is in the same industry he's been working as an actor since 45 years so I'm the second generation in my family I was coming here since I was probably 18 6 1986 happened that's the first time I visited Kashmir my dad has taught extensively all these beautiful areas I used to come as a child it used to be something if I was invited by my dad to question it used to be like I have achieved something that someone in the summer holidays the second achievement and you will not believe I have shot in this Auditorium in 2016. in this beautiful Auditorium in Kashmir movie called Roman where play uh for this academy uh graduating out of a police academy I've shot in this have sat infection and absorbed and this place has something magically draws people it draws the attention of people and no matter what we hear about Kashmir or whatever this is such a sorry interesting it's been 95 years Indian food industry has begun it will take another 95 years to explore let me tell you that it's that beautiful in one lifetime as a tourist living also as an Indian and I feel when I come to work because it's something I look up to wow my dad is taking me to Kashmir that means I've done something good this is a beautiful unpacked place and I also slightly feel people don't tap it too much because it is so wrong it is so gorgeous it is I want this beautiful paradise or not to be made like this sometimes there are some beautiful forest reserves in India from the north to the South and most of it we speak and most of it is unknown and especially in Andhra Pradesh we have the institution of forest it's got the biggest tiger desert 65 plus Tigers we have it is the largest tiger Reserve in India and my wife works with the travels and the community there to keep them occupied want to touch themselves in helping the poachers giving them a job the police the cultural things they have making wax candles out of the Honeys and the wax that it comes out of it giving them a some kind of a job to continue and happen earn money this is very important and you should tell my wife why don't you construct a beautiful restaurant like uh rank them both Forest Jim Corbin she said I was taking the government not to do anything here because the tigers are so peaceful in these tiger reserves that the tourists should not double distance we have such beautiful Reserves now did I speak against the tourism you can do both tourism and sustainability um as a minister saying pointed out and I didn't realize is an absolute encyclopedia in this Cinema um he really wants you first previous movie was more than 95 years [Music] and and he wants you and I think he's seen you moving your legs the only other person who could do it was shami Kapoor so I guess you played a cop last time you'll have to do that that's what he wants so I think let's hope that happens you actually collect artifacts from places you go to where does that passion come from oh God I don't know where this comes from because I'm not much into the uh or the artifacts but something that is Meaningful and something that connects me to that City when I go back I usually collect something and I it remembers it makes me remember of that country and Europe has always been my favorite country now Japan has become my new favorite country the culture the people it is a special country I'll tell you why Japan but we went to promote in Japan about 150 million in Japan and I thank the Japanese audience they are so so warm and it's in Japan why it's okay so special today is my my wife is standing right now she's in her seventh month and the magic happened in Japan and of course to all the other G20 friends in the country of our country each one are so special to India the relationship with India and especially tourism we all want to go and shoot in every country all the countries are so so rich in their culture and we as a medium actors and Indian food we want to explore our culture and their culture I want to see how these two cultures can come together and create a phenomenon which is the global Cinema not Indian Cinema or any other countries here and with all your support I think it can happen you know as Mr Khan also said I mean Indian Cinema is also one of the ways that Indians have access to the world right and you've seen those places we wanted to go there we took quotes on recent examples you can think of turkey a lot of people want to go in Turkey after and the South we have the beautiful culture the God's own country the Kerala backwards there are so many I think I want to explore India more I don't think I want to travel for my next couple of families unless the producer and the Creator is from Hollywood right I want to stick to myself I want to sit here and I want to educate that our Indian sentiments are so strong our culture is so strong there is a lot of dignity in our stories nowadays when you see it's not about South India North Indian Louise it supports the Indian but we take a story and they see stories are coming out finally and I'm sure that the other countries when they see what is good why should I go to an Indian cinema theater why should I see an Indian Cinema not to see what they've already experienced they want to see what is area and today our lovely directors are showing what is India on the Silver Spirit which you have and I think it might be fair to suggest that even without going to those countries Cinema is a great way for us to travel through our eyes you don't need a passport you don't need a plane ticket you certainly don't need a visa if you just watch a film and think that you've been to that country and that you will return an ending in cinemas played that don't usually right now one of the things is that which a lot of people don't realize is how many films we make in a girl and that it's not just films that are made in Mumbai their films made in Chennai they're films are made in Bangla in Kolkata their foods made them you know in the industry that you belong to which is also the industry in reserve the city where there is a ready is from there is a little more about the cinema that come in India that's a very intense question I don't know if I have the knowledge to answer okay you have all the experience yeah I I try to say what I have from my experience that are much better people ladies who can talk about this and do the right answer this is one industry he is and the great Legends we have in our country it was for a long time not recognized as an industry but today it is put in the dust and thank God it is and this film industry is something it is the best form of entertainment in India which can make you forget of okay make you forget of all the bodies because India has 1.8 billion people

we are 1.8 billion problems these Phillips sometimes people don't connect with the best they're like why are they dancing why are they fighting why are they dancing so much but this is our culture every film industry every country makes movies according to their culture if you see Norwegian movies Scandinavian movies they are so beautiful it's all about the dream it's about the ecosystem protecting the the ocean protecting the vast land and the West you have such serious films the critical films in England in your happy you dance in my house when you're sad you dance it is wondering what do it was ascendants so dance and song and dance is part of our culture and that comes into the movie also if you're not frustrating and being Indians love it and Institute that you showed it in a nice way I think the whole world will love it and that is an example by RR was loved and why not not record the best song in the academy you don't have to say for someone uh watching a cinema from Hyderabad from a distance I live in Mumbai one of the things that intrigues me is the star system as well right for instance when I say Rapture and that's great but I think if I said Mega Power Star everyone will get it uh your father the great chiranjeevi is called the mega stuff is called the powers cup so you become the Mega Power Star because you can do well where do these names come from how are these decided is it is called a mega and power because it all it comes from the love of people and it comes to the fans who love us and it's because of them we are all sitting there and enjoying this life the reaction comes they just have a way to call you if that's it it's just coming from the love of the audience and you know you've also grown up with that love watching the world around you love your father so much fans also call him uh and mega Star as well but that's tougher when you have to live up to something so huge uh it's hard to grow up under abandonment free usually was that tough for your assistant or for you uh yeah it was very difficult as a child because I could not get out of my house when I wanted I could not sneak out of my house I could not I think uh it's only a pleasure it was never a pleasure for me it was only a pleasure to be born and I think I work best under pressure and that pleasure was my motivation waking up till today my dad is 68 years he has signed about four films he's one of the highest paid actors now at 68 he's giving us a challenge he wakes up at 5 30 still and works out goes out even one day if I'm feeling lazy I am like so it is a lot of stress to be yourself so this is not a single day I can dress but I'm glad I have a family like this and an audience like this that are looking forward for our work and and so forth thanks to our that the world has really impressed us Japan L.A and the East the West everybody has really embraced us it's more of a responsibility man it's not just my being dad's son right is being the world's actor Global actor it just doesn't come and sit on your shoulder just like that you have to walk forward I can lose this opportunity I can boost this down [Music] that was the biggest commercial success in Telugu cinema at the time and then you took that leap with the same director with which is the biggest Global success we've had for me in cinema how did that leap happened I mean we're looking from a full name for one region largely hopeful that the world I mean was there a lead in terms of imagination was it leap in terms of the the budgets went up because baahubali was only made by another happened or are we just in the right place the right time in India's history everything is going to be taken you're right I think go to the right place in the right time I wish we knew the world will liberate system the budgets would have been much better myself he just was making a very straightforward Indian emotionally uh emotional Indian subject a rooted subject and I feel how come there's a friend of mine was asking me how come I am the rest of the East light are Indian emotion I said there is the answer and emotion doesn't have any language and emotion doesn't have any color emotion is emotional you feel it you enjoy it you love it and you embrace it I think that's what my directors have always granted and my director my special day is extracted even better than anybody else and the world is uh you're also a producer RAM and I think this is a great opportunity for you and this is a funny word I want you to have coming back to films and tourism you're sitting with some of the top stakeholders in films and television Urban tourism if you were and a policy is also going to be announced if you were to your wish list as a producer as a good make on things that everyone should do to make sure uh that films and tourism are promoted simultaneously what would your advice or your wishlist be to all these people who are sitting here I mean this event this event that is happening right now is an example it's a great example we are used to dream over an event like this where all our friends all the G22 G20 friends come to our country and learn a country and their experience our experience our colors experience our festivals experience everything about India and today thanks and prime minister who made it happen and along with him all the great ministers deep and all the other dignities who made it and caused made it possible we could not imagine this is never happened it happened now so we should appreciate and I think India you don't have to talk
