1.La Sagrada Familia The Basílica de la Sagrada Família is a large unfinished Roman Catholic minor basilica in the Eixample district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Designed by Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí, his work on the building is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On 7 November 2010, Pope Benedict XVI consecrated the church and proclaimed it a minor basilica. On 19 March 1882, construction of the Sagrada Família began under architect Francisco de Paula del Villar. In 1883, when
Villar resigned, Gaudí took over as chief architect, transforming the project with his architectural and engineering style, combining Gothic and curvilinear Art Nouveau forms. Gaudí devoted the remainder of his life to the project, and he is buried in the crypt. At the time of his death in 1926, less than a quarter of the project was complete. Relying solely on private donations, the Sagrada
Família's construction progressed slowly and was interrupted by the Spanish Civil War. 2.Plaza Mayor The Plaza Mayor is a major public space in the heart of Madrid, the capital of Spain. It was once the centre of Old Madrid. It was first built during the reign of Philip III. Only a few blocks away is another famous plaza,
the Puerta del Sol. The Plaza Mayor is for the people of Madrid and tourists to shop, walk around, eat, and enjoy the outdoors. 3.Royal Palace of Madrid The Royal Palace of Madrid is the official residence of the Spanish royal family at the city of Madrid, although now used only for state ceremonies. The palace has 135,000 square metres of floor space and contains
3,418 rooms. It is the largest functioning royal palace and the largest by floor area in Europe. King Felipe VI and the royal family do not reside in the palace, choosing instead the significantly more modest Palace of Zarzuela on the outskirts of Madrid. The palace is now open to the public, except during state functions, although it is so large that only a selection of the best rooms are on the visitor route at any one time, the route being changed every few months. 4.Guggenheim Museum Bilbao The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is a museum of modern and contemporary art designed by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry, and located in Bilbao, Basque Country. The museum was inaugurated on 18 October 1997
by King Juan Carlos I of Spain, with an exhibition of 250 contemporary works of art. Built alongside the Nervion River, which runs through the city of Bilbao to the Cantabrian Sea, it is one of several museums belonging to the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and features permanent and visiting exhibits of works by Spanish and international artists.
5.La Rambla Street La Rambla is a street in central Barcelona. A tree-lined pedestrian street, it stretches for 1.2 km connecting the Plaça de Catalunya in its center with the Christopher Columbus Monument at Port Vell. La Rambla forms the boundary between the neighbourhoods of the Barri Gòtic to the east and the El Raval to the west. La Rambla can be crowded, especially during
the height of the tourist season. Its popularity with tourists has affected the character of the street, which has shifted in composition to pavement cafes and souvenir kiosks. 6.Casa Milà asa Milà, popularly known as La Pedrera or "The stone quarry", a reference to its unconventional rough-hewn appearance, is a modernist building in Barcelona. It was the last private residence designed by architect Antoni Gaudí and was built between 1906 and 1912. The building was commissioned in 1906 by Pere Milà and his wife Roser Segimon. At the time, it
was controversial because of its undulating stone facade, twisting wrought iron balconies . Several structural innovations include a self-supporting stone façade, a nd a free-plan floor, underground garage and the spectacular terrace on the roof. 7.Mount Teide Mount Teide, is a volcano on Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Its summit is the highest point in Spain and
the highest point above sea level in the islands of the Atlantic. If measured from the ocean floor, it is at 7,500 m the fourth-highest volcano in the world, and is described by UNESCO and NASA as Earth's third-tallest volcanic structure. However, as Teide was formed over 100,000 years ago due to volcanic activity following a catastrophic landslide, Teide's base is actually situated in the Las Cañadas crater at a height of around 2,190 m above sea level. Teide is an active volcano: its most recent eruption occurred in 1909 from the El Chinyero vent on the northwestern Santiago rift. The United Nations Committee for Disaster
Mitigation designated Teide a Decade Volcano because of its history of destructive eruptions and its proximity to several large towns. 8.Plaça de Catalunya Plaça de Catalunya is a large square in central Barcelona that is generally considered to be both its city centre and the place where the old city and the 19th century-built Eixample meet. Some of the city's most important streets and avenues meet at Plaça Catalunya: Passeig de Gràcia, Rambla de Catalunya, La Rambla, and Portal de l'Àngel, in addition to Ronda de Sant Pere, Carrer de Vergara, and Carrer de Pelai. The plaza occupies an area of about 50,000 square metres. It is especially known for its fountains and
statues, its proximity to some of Barcelona's most popular attractions, and the flocks of pigeons that gather in the centre. 8.1 Pamplona Cathedral Pamplona Cathedral is a Roman Catholic church in the archdiocese of Pamplona. The current building was raised on the ruins of the previous Romanesque church, which was destroyed in the 14th century. Archaeological
excavations have revealed the existence of another two earlier churches. The cathedral is divided into three Gothic-style naves. The chapels are in several different styles. The cathedral has a neoclassical façade designed
by Ventura Rodríguez in 1783, while the interior and the 14th-century cloister are Gothic. 9.City Of Arts The City of Arts and Sciences is a cultural and architectural complex in the city of Valencia. It is the most important modern
tourist destination in the city of Valencia and one of the 12 Treasures of Spain. Designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela, the project began the first stages of construction in July 1996, and was inaugurated on 16 April 1998 with the opening of L'Hemisfèric. The last major component of the City of Arts and Sciences, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia, was inaugurated on 9 October 2005. The most recent building in the complex, L'Àgora, was opened in 2009.
Originally budgeted at 300 million € in 1991 for three structures, it has expanded about three times the initial expected cost. 9.1 Tibidabo Mountain Tibidabo is a hill overlooking Barcelona. At 512 metres, it is the tallest hill in the Serra de Collserola. Rising sharply to
the north-west, it has views over the city and the surrounding coastline. The summit of the hill is occupied by the Sagrat Cor church and adjacent Tibidabo Amusement Park. The Torre de Collserola telecommunications tower is a short walk away. All three are prominently visible from most of the city of Barcelona. Designed by Enric Sagnier, the church was started in 1902 and took 60 years to complete. It is topped by a sculpture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus by Josep Miret Llopart.
Tibidabo can be reached by road or via the Tibidabo Funicular, which was the first of its kind in Spain, and by the Tramvia blau, but both are currently out of service. Replacement bus TC2 connects Tibidabo with Avinguda de Tibidabo Metro station. The Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona minibus service 111 connects it to Vallvidrera village and the upper station of the Vallvidrera funicular 10.Tenerife Island Tenerife is the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands, off West Africa. It's dominated by Mt. Teide, a dormant volcano that is Spain's tallest peak. Tenerife may be best known for its Carnaval de Santa Cruz, a huge pre-Lent festival with parades, music, dancing and colorful costumes. The island has many beaches (with sands from yellow to black) and resort areas, including Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas.
11.Montserrat Montserrat is a multi-peaked mountain range. It is part of the Catalan Pre-Coastal Range. The main peaks are Sant Jeroni, Montgrós and Miranda de les Agulles. It is well known as the site of the Benedictine abbey, Santa Maria de Montserrat, which hosts the Virgin of Montserrat sanctuary. "Montserrat" literally means "saw mountain" in Catalan. It describes its peculiar aspect with multitude of rock formations which are visible from a great distance. The mountain
is composed of strikingly pink conglomerate, a form of sedimentary rock. Montserrat was designated as a National Park in 1987. On this mountain we will have access to the Monastery of Montserrat which houses the virgin that gives its name to the monastery, although it is also known as La Moreneta. 12.Dalí Theatre-Museum The Dalí Theatre and Museum, is a museum
dedicated to the artist Salvador Dalí in his home town of Figueres, in Catalonia. Salvador Dalí is buried in a crypt below the stage. The museum received over 1,300,000 visitors in 2016. 13.Cathedral of Barcelona The Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia, also known as Barcelona Cathedral, is the Gothic cathedral and seat of the Archbishop of Barcelona. The cathedral was constructed from the thirteenth to fifteenth centuries, with the principal work done in the fourteenth century. The cloister, which encloses the Well of the Geese was completed in 1448. In the late nineteenth
century, the neo-Gothic façade was constructed over the nondescript exterior that was common to Catalan churches. 14.Puerta del Sol The Puerta del Sol is a public square in Madrid, one of the best known and busiest places in the city. This is the centre of
the radial network of Spanish roads. The square also contains the famous clock whose bells mark the traditional eating of the Twelve Grapes and the beginning of a new year. The New Year's celebration has been broadcast live since 31 December 1962 on major radio and television networks including Antena 3 and RTVE.
15.Ciutadella Park The Parc de la Ciutadella is a park on the northeastern edge of Ciutat Vella. For decades following its creation in the mid-19th century, this park was the city's only green space. The 70-acre grounds include the city zoo, the Palau del Parlament de Catalunya, a small lake, museums, and a large fountain designed by Josep Fontserè. As the location of the Parliament of Catalonia, the tensions in 2018 and 2019 regarding Catalan independence regularly led to the police closure of the park to public access to prevent crowds forming near to the official buildings. 16.Timanfaya National Park Timanfaya National Park is located in the
southwestern part of the island of Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands. It covers parts of the municipalities Tinajo and Yaiza. The area is 51.07 square kilometres, and the parkland is entirely made up of volcanic soil. The statue El Diablo
by César Manrique is its symbol. It is the only Natural Park in Spain which is entirely geological, also Timanfaya National Park represents a sign of recent and historical volcanism in the Macaronesian Region. The last volcanic eruptions occurred during the 18th century as well as on the 19th century. 16.1 Olympic Park The Barcelona Olympic Park is part of all the attractions found at Montjuic Mountain. The Olympic Park features structures such as the Palau Sant Jordi and the sleek Telecommunications Tower, that redefined the Barcelona skyline. The telecommunication tower was designed by
prestigious Spanish architect Calatrava. This building was essential in shaping an image and a symbol for a new Barcelona. 17.Catedral Santa María de Mallorca The Cathedral of Santa Maria de Mallorca, is a Gothic Roman Catholic cathedral located in Palma, Mallorca. Built by the Crown of Aragón on the site of a Moorish-era mosque, the cathedral is 121 metres long, 40 metres wide and its nave is 44 metres tall.
Designed in the Catalan Gothic style but with Northern European influences, it was begun by King James I of Aragon in 1229 but only finished in 1601. It sits within the old city of Palma atop the former citadel of the Roman city. In 1901, fifty years after a restoration of the cathedral had started, Antoni Gaudí was invited to take over the project. While some of his ideas were adopted – moving the choir stalls from the middle nave to be closer to the altar, as well as a large canopy – Gaudí abandoned his work in 1914 after an argument with the contractor. The planned changes were essentially cosmetic rather than structural, and the project was cancelled soon after.
18.Cap de Formentor Cap de Formentor forms the eastern end of Majorca's Formentor peninsula. The Majorcans also call the cape the Meeting point of the winds. In 1863 the Formentor Lighthouse was opened, the remote and rugged location on the Cap de Formentor making construction difficult.
The only access being from the sea or via a long mule track. The headland has a number of lookout and viewing points, including Mirador del Mal Pas. The panorama from Majorca's Finisterre illuminates Menorca in the east, Cala Figuera in the west, and Alcudia with its sandy beach in the south.

Each city in Spain boasts its own truly brilliant examples of the best architecture, and bring forth their own elements of beauty. Spanish architecture history dates back hundreds of years, with the more locally made structures originating in the 15th century, throughout the Renaissance period. 20.Plaza de Cibeles The Plaza de Cibeles is a square with a neo-classical complex of marble sculptures with fountains that has become a symbol for the city of Madrid. Plaza de Cibeles was originally named Plaza de Madrid, but in 1900, the City Council named it Plaza de Castelar, which was eventually replaced by its current name. It is currently delimited by four prominent
buildings: the Bank of Spain Building, the Palacio de Buenavista, the Palace of Linares, and the Cybele Palace. These constructions are located in four different neighbourhoods from three different adjacent districts: Centro, Retiro, and Salamanca. Over the years, Cybele Palace and her fountain have become symbolic monuments of the city. 20.1 Loro Park Loro Park' is a 13.5-hectare zoo on the outskirts of Puerto de la Cruz on Tenerife, where it houses an extensive and diverse reserve of animal and plant species. The park was conceived as a paradise for parrots and has developed over the years into one of the biggest attractions of the Canary Islands, with over 40 million visitors. Other records the park has set include Europe's
largest dolphin show pool, the world's largest indoor penguin exhibition and the longest shark tunnel in Europe. In addition to dolphins and penguins, some of the other creatures on display in the park are common chimpanzees, western gorillas, marmosets, California sea lions, iguanas, American alligator, exotic fish, red-bellied piranhas, seahorses, and various sharks. 21.El Retiro Park The Buen Retiro Park, Retiro Park or simply El Retiro is one of the largest parks of the city of Madrid, Spain. The park belonged
to the Spanish Monarchy until the late 19th century, when it became a public park. 21.1 Barcelona's Port Cable Car The Transbordador Aeri del Port was built for the 1929 Barcelona Universal Exposition and links the Barceloneta beach to Montjuïc. The red and white cabins can accommodate 20 people and take 8 minutes to complete the journey, crossing the port at a height of between 70 and 90 metres. If you plan to take photo’s make sure that you are amongst the first aboard and secure a place at the front or back of the cabin since the side windows don’t open. 22.Drach Caves The
Caves of Drach are four great caves that are located in the island of Majorca, Balearic Islands, extending to a depth of 25 m and reaching approximately 4 km in length. They are in the municipality of Manacor, near the locality of Porto Cristo.The caves have formed by water being forced through the entrance from the Mediterranean Sea, and some researchers think the formation may date back to the Miocene Epoch. There is an underground lake situated in the caves called Martel Lake, which is about 115 m in length and 30 m in width, and its depth varies between four and twelve meters. The caves are open to the public and one of the main attractions on Mallorca. 23.Arco de Triunfo de Barcelona The Arc de Triomf is a triumphal arch in the
city of Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain. It was built by architect Josep Vilaseca i Casanovas as the main access gate for the 1888 Barcelona World Fair. The arch crosses over the wide central promenade of the Passeig de Lluís Companys, leading to the Ciutadella Park that now occupies the site of the world fair. It is located within the city limits of Fuentes
de Andalucía in the province of Seville. Gemasolar, with its 19.9 MW of power, can supply power to 27,500 homes. The plant has been operational since May 2011. Its official launch was held in October 2011.
After the second year of operation the plant has exceeded projected expectations. In 2013, the plant achieved continuous production, operating 24 hours per day for 36 consecutive days, a result which no other solar plant has attained so far. Total operation is 6,450 hours at full capacity per year, preventing about 30,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year. 25.Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela The Santiago de Compostela Archcathedral Basilica is part of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Santiago de Compostela situated in Galicia. The cathedral is the reputed burial place of Saint James the Great, the apostle of Jesus Christ. It is also one of the only three
remaining churches in the world built over the tomb of an apostle of Jesus, the other two being St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City and St. Thomas Cathedral Basilica, Chennai in India. 26.Playa del Duque Playa del Duque is a premium beach on Costa Adeje in southern Tenerife. This whole area is a high-quality, exclusive resort.Playa del Duque is made for beach lovers, people who like to relax, people who love the finer things in life. Roque Nublo Roque Nublo is a volcanic rock on the island of Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain. It is 67 m tall, and its top is 1,813 m above sea level. The Roque Nublo is the third altitude of the island of Gran Canaria, after the Morro de la Agujereada with 1,956 meters, and the Pico de las Nieves with 1,949 meters. It was formed by a volcanic eruption around 4.5 million years ago.
We highly recommend renting a car and check out this and other viewpoints or hikes. The hike takes about 20-30 mins if you are moving quickly. There are beautiful views at the top and along the way. 28. Santa Bárbara Castle Santa Bárbara Castle is a fortification in
the center of Alicante. It stands on Mount Benacantil. The castle was bombarded in 1691 by a French squadron. From the 18th century the military role of the castle has declined and it was used sometimes as a prison. The castle remained abandoned until 1963, when it was opened to the public. There are some guided tours at €3 per person and there are refreshments and other amenities at and near the summit. 29.Aquarium Barcelona de Greg Aquarium Barcelona is an aquarium located
in Port Vell, a harbor in Barcelona. The 35 aquariums at the facility are home to 11,000 animals representing 450 species. The aquarium contains a total of 5,000,000 litres. This includes an ocean tank for sharks, rays and other large fish, which is 36 m in diameter, 5 m deep, and has an 80-meter underwater tunnel. The Aquarium of Barcelona is part of the Aspro Parks. The aquarium is a member of the Iberian Association of Zoos and Aquaria.
30.Playa de Las Teresitas The Playa de Las Teresitas is an artificial, white sand, tourist beach located north of the village of San Andrés, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It is one of the most popular beaches of the Canary Islands, and is one of the few on Tenerife that do not have the black, volcanic sand that most of the rest of the Canary Islands have. The Playa de Las Teresitas was chosen for the promotional spot for the third season of the reality show, Geordie Shore, "Chaos in Cancún" The beach has parking for cars, as well as a bus service. The Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria, often simply referred to as La Boqueria, is a large public market in the Ciudad Vieja district of Barcelona, and one of the city's foremost tourist landmarks, with an entrance from La Rambla, not far from the Liceo, Barcelona's opera house. The market has a very diverse selection of goods.
