Hello. Hotel. Here. Assalam-o-Alaikum everyone and welcome back to the channel from Barnaul, Russia. Today when I woke up in the morning, I was very excited that we will go and enjoy the beauty of Russia. As soon as I checked the weather outside, it was raining heavily and the wind was very strong.
What a great combination for a bike ride. I wanted to go back to my bed and sleep peacefully. But the problem is that our visa only has 3 more days. And the border of Mongolia is about 1100 km from here. If we take the main highway without any detour, however, since we are in such a beautiful regoin, we will definitely explore it. It will add up a few kilometers in the itinerary though.
And in Russia, there is no chance of overstaying. Because whenever you go, they ask you for your passport and your immigration card. And then they start talking. So it is important for us to leave today. My plan is that if we travel about 300 km from here, no matter how beautiful the way is.
The weather may change as well. Because you never know about the weather here. And as you know, it's quite windy. The clouds may get blown away by the wind. So let's see what we get to see around it.
There are a few beautiful lakes. But I want us to leave from here and then decide. So I have just left to find a good cafe so that we can have a good breakfast here in the morning.
After that, we'll get going with Rangeeli no matter the conditions. And take you along to show the Altai region. Although we can see a lot of cafes on Google, but unfortunately couldn't see much. So I have come to a shopping mall.

We were supposed to turn from here but we have moved ahead. It's getting colder as we are heading towards Mongolia. I hope the weather will be better in the coming days.

I try to rest for at least 2 days in a week to enjoy a good place. But in this tour, there were almost no rest days. Except for Almaty where we had to stay due to visa requirement.
Otherwise, I would have left last week. The cities here are good. Very peaceful. Not very loud or noisy.
You will get everything you need from here. These are modern cities. As you can see, life has become tough for the locals after the restrictions. At one time, their Rubel really crashed.
Now, it's somewhat stable. If you look around, you will see cars of almost every company. But, most of the cars are Korean, Japanese and Chinese. You also see a lot of German cars like Volkswagen, BMW etc.
But I think, after the restrictions, there are fewer models coming here. Their relations with Japan are not good now. I am not sure what the current situation is. Looks like their car broke down. The buildings are pretty beautiful. It feels like you are traveling in a European country.
Don't really get the Asian countries feel here. The weather is also similar to that in Scandinavian countries. The service of our motorcycle in Almaty was not very good. I even told them that the gear sensor was not working properly.
They said they had fixed it. But it only worked properly for one day. I think they just checked it with a computer. It worked okay so they skipped it. That's why the errors that were not fixed properly.
I don't think they even cleaned the fuel sensor. That's why I'm seeing the same errors. Anyway, what can we do? We have to move on. We can't stop over and over again. Let's get some good fuel in Rangeeli. And then we will get going.

The food is served. We have salmon fish. Along with mashed potatoes and some salad. We have also got iced tea. This is one of the most expensive lunch and dinner of this tour. We have paid 16 or 17 dollars for it now.
