Welcome to Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport, named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE's founder Etihad’s First Class lounge features a dedicated reception lobby Floor-to-ceiling windows offer a view of the airport apron and the Airbus A380 that will fly us to London Heathrow An elevator takes guests to the rooftop lounge on the 6th floor A central walkway leads down the entire length of the lounge, with several seating areas and a restaurant along the way The lounge is open 24/7 to Etihad’s First Class passengers and to elite members of Etihad’s frequent flyer program In the lounge’s elegant parlor, guests are treated to a selection of pastries & desserts and to an array of tea ceremonies The lounge is conveniently located with access to three gates, offering direct-lounge boarding on selected flights First Class Private Suites are available for guests to work, relax and dine in complete privacy The lounge offers an elevated à la carte dining experience, with a fine wine selection recommended by in-house experts Lobster ravioli, peppers, spinach, basil, and spiced butter This is the Airbus A380 that will fly us to London (registration number: A6-APG; delivered to Etihad in 2016) Etihad has 4 Airbus A380s in its fleet, which are currently deployed on routes between Abu Dhabi, London and New York Etihad’s A380 features 415 Economy Class seats, 70 flat-bed Business Class seats, 9 First Class suites and The Residence Welcome to The Residence, the only three room suite in the sky I’ll take a detailed tour of The Residence after takeoff We're leaving the gate (on-time departure at 2 pm) Etihad's A380s are equipped with a tail camera and powered by four Engine Alliance GP7000 engines Etihad Airways is the national airline of the UAE and the second-largest airline in the country (after Emirates) Etihad is one of the world's safest airlines and has not suffered hull losses, accidents, or fatalities since its founding in 2003 Let’s have a detailed look at The Residence, an uber luxurious suite which can accommodate a maximum of two passengers Located on the A380 upper deck, The Residence comprises a living room, an ensuite bathroom, and a private bedroom Have you ever flown The Residence?
