Electric range battle - BMW vs Porsche vs VW vs Zeekr vs Nio | Stockholm to Idre

Electric range battle - BMW vs Porsche vs VW vs Zeekr vs Nio | Stockholm to Idre

Show Video

it's time for our biggest test yet we're going  to test the five most popular fully electric   tourers on the market and we're going to do  a long range test we're going to drive over   900 km from Stockholm to Idre and back and  Idre is one of Sweden's most popular skur   Resorts so this is a winter test welcome to  its only electric let's start with looking   at the lineup the first car in lineup is the car  from Volkswagen the id7 GTX tour in Kings red   The second one is the Zeekr 001 shooting brake long range privilege third one the BMW I5 eDrive40   tourer or touring. This is a bit smaller this  is the Nio et5 touring and the last one in the lineup   is the Porsche Taycon 4S Sport Turismo so to be  able to do this test I need additional drivers.   Let's start presenting the drivers Matias this  is Matias Matthew we need to shake hands you're   going to pick a key and this is the car you're  going to start with. We're going to drive.. no, you did that by purpose you got the Porsche  okay so the Taycan is yours next one Marcus the   the guy with the summer jacket it's actually  winter outside but yeah pick a key pick a key.   The Nio the Nio the Nio next one. This is  Dennis hello Dennis welcome to to the cold

cold weather here uh you're going to pick a car  which one are you hoping for the you got the BMW,   yep and the last one I think you know this guy  already this is my brother and companion should   you or me take it uh you you you take it, I take  the rest let's see then I got the Zeekr the Zeekr   so for me is actually the id7 so the rules now  is that we're going to drive the cars all the   way to Idre then stay over the night and then dve  back home you already know that but you don't so   there's a certain rules we're going to set the  temperatures to 20°C all cars are fully charged   almost the Zeekr has 90% but we're going to add  that to calculation yeah we're going to drive on   eco mode 20°C as I said and uh stick to the speed  limits and we're going to drive in caravan we're   going to change cars uh so everyone is going to  drive every car that means that the consumption   will not be affected by a single driver so that's  fair and square and on top of that we're also   going to shift the leading car every time so  we don't have have any drag loss or difference   in that manner too then this is the way we will  do a as consistent test as possible and we will   figure out the total range the consumption we will  also involve some soft feelings so I'm going to   we're going to talk about this uh tomorrow how  you feel about every car and pick a favorite I   think that's that's all yeah are we ready to  start yeah yeah let's go let's go let's go [Music] [Music] [Music]   the first stretch and I'm sat in the id7 GTX  tour this is the new tour from Volkswagen fully   electric of course and it's all-wheel drive so  they have put the newly developed big motor at   the rear delivering 286 horsepower at the front a  smaller induction motor combined output 250 KW or   3 40 horsepower 560 Nm of torque it does 0 to 100  in 5.5 seconds with a top speed of 180 kph it's   a fairly big car I mean with a boot capacity of  605 L it's really good you can also add the tow   hitch with a toe capacity of 1.4 tons and it's a  very Square shaped boot so you can really fit in   a lot let's check this out this is amazing guys if  you see it here one two small cabin bags one giant bag one midsize two three four midsize bags and this  was really easy to fit in and it's with the   floor taken away so this is with the maximum  space available it has a really big back seat   so a lot of leg room good thigh support and in  general a generous back seat so this is a really   Pleasant car for long trips but even for four or  five grown-ups cuz it's big it's comfortable and   it's fairly silent so it's a nice car to drive  even if it has the active dampers as this one   has uh I'm driving on eco now it's a comy setup  it is not too stiff if you want it to be a bit   more stiff and less body roll you can just crank  up uh the actual stiffness of the DCC so the DCC   settings is is divided into 12 different levels  so when inste it to Eco it's more to the softer   side more as a comfy setup but all in all I like  this car I think ID7 is a great package it's by   far the best package yet from Volkswagen when  it comes to fully electric and when it comes to   the interior I think it has a good quality good  quality materials a lot more soft touch better   Plastics better put together than the id4 and id5  for instance this is a better car so it has the   new bigger battery pack with a gross cap capacity  of 91kWh and a net capacity of 86 and that's why   the regular version not the GTX version really  has a great range I think you can get it with up   to 700 km if you go for the rear whe Drive version  with the big batter pack that's really good this   one though since it's four-wheel drive and GTX the  most powerful version it has a range of 578 km the   elevation difference between the starting point  and the end goal is 600M so that will actually   consume a lot more energy that together with the  cold weather can be a nightmare for electric cars   and that's what we're testing today the way back  though will give us some energy back since we are   coting downwards the last thing about this car is  the charging the charging is actually fairly good   at at this car it's a 200 kW of top speed and  it's a 400 volt system so 200 kW is anyway the   most you can crank out of the standard ccs2  connectivity and charge speed so it charges   from 10 to 80% in 28 minutes home charging 11 KW  three face support hopefully at least one of the   cars will be able to reach the end goal 459  km in this conditions we will see about that   let's do a check in we have been traveling just  about 90 km the roads are a bit damped but let's   check status let's start with the Porsche Matthew  what's your status status in the tyan so we have   77% left in the battery and we are the consumption  is 22.8 kWh/100km okay 22.8 yes okay great   thank you let's move on to the BMW and  Dennis so the BMW has 73% in charge and   the consumption is uh 22kWh/100km so a bit  lower than the Porsche actually so how does   it feel you I know that you you really  love BMWs is this your you you still like it yeah it it drives really nice it's uh  quiet and uh a really comfortable car to   sit in the next car let us see the Neo  Marcus y uh I have 75% of battery left   and the average consumption is 21.4 21.4 okay so  very even consumption for all the cars yet and   you had some trouble with your autopilot  didn't you yeah because of the weather the getting covered by the rain uh and so the  car wants to shut down and uh do the emergency   break okay that's why like five times already so  that's why I saw your emergency lights turning on   cuz so the cameras was too dirty to to continue  using the autopilot so the fourth one that's the   Zekre Emre how it's going for you it's going well  uh amazing car uh but we I'm at 25.7 kWh/100km   in [Music] consumption um oh that's high yes it's  a big car no it's pretty high and state of charge   is 68% but we started with 90% right on this car  yes that's right yeah so should be 78% I guess   I'm the last one then I have 78% state of charge  left my average consumption is actually the lowest   in the test yet 19.0 kWh/100km that's you said  that you had like 26 in the Zeekr so that's a

big difference let's see how this ends up but it  says that I have a remaining range of like 350 km   so let's see about that okay thank you guys we're  soon Gonna Change cars so be back then I'm in the   Zeekr 001 this is the privilege version so the  highest stream level I have actually reviewed   this car full review also range tested it so  if you want to know more about it in detail   I put the links up here for the full review so  don't miss that one out brief specs about the   car as I said it's the privilege version privilege  gives you the full equipment so you had a headup   display you have the Yamaha sound system which  is a really nice sound system by the way it's   four-wheel drive it has massage seats and also air  suspension so that's some of the things you get   with the privileg version It's maxed out you have  everything you need the car itself measures 495   CM so it's among the pack the same size as almost  every car in this test I think the longest one is   the BMW with 506 cm so this is 10 cm shorter than  that one and some of you may say that like this is   not a proper touring or wagon car I agree but at  the same time disagree it's a shooting brake they   call it a shooting brake it's somewhere in between  but it still has 539 L of boot capacity and like   25 at the front so we small Frunk but it's still  practical I've loaded it and this is the capacity   inor 539 L with a very small Frank no place for a  bag this is how it looks one small bag one midsize   another midsize two more midsizers for midsize two  cabin bags and one big Bera so this is actually   the same amount as I was able to squeeze into the  BMW and the id7 that's impressive despite having   like 60 L less boot capacity in real life in real  practicality it is actually not that much smaller   than for instance the id7 or the BMW I5 the  privileged version is a all-wheel drive car with   combined output of 544 horsepower or 686 Nm of  torque does 0 to 100 3.8 seconds with a top speed   of I think it's 200 kph so plenty of power it's a  quick car but Power with this air suspension it's   really nice to drive and of course the active  dampers at adapt to the situation so now I'm   driving it in Eco so it's a bit softer but you can  stiffen up and get some more support and less b   roll if you want that the batter pack on this car  is 100 kwhs gross capacity around 95 kwh hours net capacity the certified WLTP range is 585  km so among the highest number first out   of this five cars I think the only one that has  a higher range is the Porsche so we just driven   a 200 km and we've been driving for almost 2  hours so going to check with a littleit status   update uh should we start with uh Dennis  maybe yes so I'm driving the id7 I have uh 56% uh charge and uh my average consumption  is 19.4 okay that's pretty good actually 19.4   it's pretty low Marcus yeah I'm in the  BMW uh we have 48% of battery left and   we have an average consumption of 20.4 kWh/100km so 20.4 on the BMW also pretty decent actually

yeah it's just the battery level that's quite  low though okay it's a big car yeah and and the   smallest battery and Matias yeah I'm driving the  et5 have 51% left and average perp is 20.5 20.5   okay e how is it going for you I'm sitting in the  Zeekr 001 and uh I have an average consumption of   23.7 kWh/100km so it's feels like it's highest  among the pack currently 44% state of charge but   keep in mind that I started with 90 so it's  actually 54 so that's pretty decent despite   having a high consumption so I'm in the Porsche uh  and I'm at I'm at 56% with an average consumption   of 21.6 kWh/100km um yeah it's pretty efficient  also the Porsche but it's a really big battery   it was 107 Gross capacity right yes it's it's  the biggest battery among among the cars yeah   I think the second biggest is probably I mean the  Zeekr 100 gross and the Nio also has 100 gross as   you said BMW has the smallest one with 86 and  then we have the yeah id7 with 91 as a gross   capacity so uh yeah all big batter packs a little  bit hard for some some of the cars to arrive at a   destination because we already on the low 50% we  will see how how it works but but the roads are   smaller right so it's slower speeds from now  on yeah it's lower speeds it's around like 80   70 90 kph I guess all the way so and it's  currently not snowing or raining so it's okay   anyway uh the temperature will probably drop a bit  more but yeah my mine actually says 250 km left uh   as a total range and the Porsche actually says  229 km but I think it's really like sandbagging   it yeah it's pretty yeah it's it is like the BMW  both those cars are really defensive when it comes   to the estimated range yeah they're really trying  to stick to actual numbers or even like a bit too   defensive in my in my opinion so it would probably  manage that and I'm now sat in the Porsche tyan   sport Turismo 4S this is a brand new car fresh out  of the factory in this bright blue color and dark   gray interior all leather interior uh the 4S is  a four-wheel drive car measuring 496 CM so very   close to the all the rest of the cars in the in  the test and it has the least space when it comes   to boot so boot capacity 446 L at the rear plus  84 L at the front so not that bad actually still   over 500 L 520 L Al together and this says what  you can fit into this car let's start with the   rear cuz it has a Frank too one two small cabin  bags I use the extra amount of storage underneath here one two three midsized bags so that's what  we fit in the boot let's check out the Frank and   in the Frank some additional storage and with room  for a cabin bag so in total three cabin bags and   three midsize bags it has the big batter pack  called Performance Plus with a net capacity of   97 kWh and a gross capacity of 105 so this is  the car with the biggest battery pack in this   group and it has a range for this specific version  which is 20in rims of 598 km almost 600 horsepower   and over 700 710 newm of torque in launch mode  so it's a quick car and it does 0 to 100 in 3.7

seconds with a top speed of 250 km per hour as  all other tians it has two gears so that means   that it is also quick in speeds above 120 you may  have noticed this bright blue safety belts I think   it's nights it's not the exact same color as the  exterior this is another a bit brighter blue color   but it goes well together with this gray interior  it's by far the sportiest car among them all but   the consumption doesn't feel that bad actually  I'm averaging 21.7 and I'm the third driver and   we have been covered 260 km so we may be able  to reach the end the goal the destination in   one charge this is a charging Monster by the way  top charge speed when it comes to DC charging fast   charging 320 kilowatt 10 to 80% in 24 minutes  I have tested that cuz I recently tested the   tyon not the 4S but the normal sedon version wheel  drive with the same battery pack though it managed   24 minutes I put the link up here if you want to  know more about the tyan let's do a status check   in we have been traveling for almost 270 km now  uh maybe we should start with let's see the BMW   this time who's driving the BMW Matias Maas BMW  and we have 32% left on the battery and we are   at 19.8 kWh/100km okay so the consumption is good  it's has dropped below 20 that's good that's not   bad yeah and that's we're driving like 70 80 90  yeah that's true that's true but do you like it   how about the BMW it's this is a really Comfort  car yeah yeah it's a long driver isn't it it is   yeah lean back and just roll okay the next one  the id7 this time uh it's going well state of   charge is 42% um and I have it says it's 200 km  left on the on the Range the consumption is 18.0   kWh/100km that's good uh yeah it looks good it  looks possible um it's it's efficient 18 so that   may be the lowest consumption of cars let's see  about that yeah think so so maybe you can make   it the whole way uh yeah in in theory at least  but yeah that can be I I think I think it will   because it it doesn't look like that optimistic  uh I think I think it will do get colder and yeah   that's true and probably and higher up also right  probably yeah it's higher up and colder so a lot   of elevation will will come now at the end yeah  the last part okay so good the next one the the Nio so uh the Neo has 34% uh on the battery  left and uh for the first time we are below   20 on the consumption which is 19.2  overall uh everything has been good   uh we have a little bit trouble  in uh keeping the windshield uh clean so I really don't uh like  the wipers they're uh difficult   to maneuver and the cleaning fluid  comes a little bit late okay so it   like wipes and then the water comes  and okay so let's jump over to the Zer yeah uh amazing car really we have  a battery charging left of 29% average   consumption the last 100 km is 24.1  so it's going down but it's still high

24.1 yeah but you said it you like the car is  this the favorite car until now we have tried   three cars this is the third one yeah I think  this is the favorite as far as it goes okay uh   I still have two cars to try out but I think  this is my favorite uh Comfort wise uh since   I'm a bit shorter than the average people  here um it's comfy and the lightning is   very good the sound system is amazing and the  car is quite simple to understand and maneuver   in the menu and everything that's nice to  hear because it actually got a a big a very   big software update just the other day with uh new  functions like manual preheating a lot of bug bug   fixes and a lot of stability fixes so it should be  a lot better now than it was like two weeks ago so   that's that's interesting status from the Porsche  41% state of charge and uh average consumption   21.3 kWh/100km so still over 20 this is not the  most efficient car in the test but I mean it also   has almost 600 horsepower so I guess that's  something to expect two of the cars the BMW   I5 with the smallest batter pack and the Nio ET5  they wouldn't reach the end destination and this   is the safest spot with a lot of superchargers 20  actually and a lot of ion two places here I think   it's nine stations so plenty of fast charging  opportunities here so that's why we stay uh to top   up those two cars actually we added 10% to the to  the Zeekr 001 to make it even Steven against other   cars I mean it was missing from the start so now  we think and hope that the Zeekr the id7 and the   tyan will be able to reach the final destination  on one single charge we hope so it's getting   colder it's a bit wet and it's windy so and it's  sloping so this will be a tough thing to do let's   hope we make it the forth switch it's pitch dark  outside this car is the longest one in the test   506 cm it's also the most refined car in the test  it's so smooth it's so quiet the seats are so nice   among these cars this is the most comfortable one  so if you're off Comfort this is it so refined   interior quality the touch and field everything  is great in this car and I have reviewed the BMW   I5 too both the M60 touring version but also a  sedan so I put the links up here uh for you to   look at if you want to know more about the I5 in  general also some range tests Etc charging test   to this one is the rear whe Drive version It's  the e Drive40 so it's the basic version it has   340 horsepower on one motor at the rear so 400  NM of torque does 0 to 100 in 6.1 seconds and

has a top speed of 193 kph so not 200, 193 when  it comes to the Practical aspects it's possible   to add a tow hitch with 1.5 tons tow capacity  the boot is one of the biggest so 570 L of total   boot capacity and this is what you can fit into  the boot same amount of bags as in the ID7 one midsize one big two small cabin bags and three  midsized bags and this is the exact same amount   as in ID7 the difference though is that the  straighter rear back bench is giving us some   more room so it's a bit easier to to sto that car  I mean this was a bit too tight if you stole your   bags too much it will not be possible but still  impressive boot capacity the I5 is the car with   the smallest battery among them all it has a gross  capacity of 86 kWh and a net capacity of 81 the   range for this car with this setup is 547 km and  it has slightly bigger rims than the standard one   so that eats up a bit of the range so the smallest  battery pack by all five cars that also me that we   needed to charge it cuz it wasn't enough to go the  whole trip in one charge so we have been driving   for 350 km just behind me I have the id7 what's  the status of the id7 the status of the id7 is   26% left uh and let me check my consumption here  I will make it it says okay A bit of juice left I   think I have 15 km left when we arrive as a margin  so goes as okay so that's like 2%-3% I guess but   you fl you feel confident but you're not the one  that's going to drive the last part I'm pretty   confident okay that's good this is the Porsche  still in the race what's the status Marcus yep y   the state status of the Porsche is at the moment  31% of battery left and we have a consumption of 21.0 so 21.0 that's a fairly High consumption but   31% state of charge okay do you see  an estimated range that you have left yeah uh I have 134 kilm okay so that's  a bit higher than the id7 so the battery   the big battery size really makes sense  so you're probably going to make it but   you're also going to switch a car so  it's not your problem uh but you feel confident I feel confident this car will  make it all the way home nice so the   next car up the Zer you you're  still running on your original   battery charge does it look good yes and  we have 19% left which gives us 110 km whoa okay 19% yes exactly so that sounds  a bit tight maybe maybe it will work but   we will see further on it feels like  the Zeek can drop out yeah it will   not work and I don't care because I'm going  to change this car very soon it sounds that   like you are a bit stressed already yeah I  have some uh anxiety uh building up in my chest you feel that even if it's not you  that's going to drive it yeah exactly because uh I'm a caring person that's good we need caring persons I  also want to add the consumption uh that is uh 23.0 it sounds like it's the highest among the  cars uh yeah 23 but it has been going down anyway   so it's not higher than before I guess in the last  car now the last switch is done we have roughly   90 km left on this trip it's pitch black outside  the road conditions are not that good it's a bit   slushy icy uneven surfaces and wet outside still  around 4° C so not that cold actually but we're   going upwards I can feel it in my ears this car is  actually out of the game cuz we fully recharged it   at the charg in Maura but there is three cars  still contending more about the Neo 85 touring   this is a smaller car the smallest car in the this  lineup so 479 cm in total length it's a all-wheel   drive car two Motors one permanent magnet motor  and one induction motor putting out combined 490   horsepower or around 700 Nm of torque it does 0 to  100 in 4 seconds flat with a top speed of 200 kph   so it's a quick car it's powerful it has a battery  pack with a gross capacity it's a long-range   version by the way of 100 kWh and a nut capacity  of 90 so it's a big buffer it charges at a rate   of 180 kW a as a peak speed fairly flat charge  curve 11 KW for home charging slow charging so   decent charge curve not the best in this class but  still okay I mean the main thing with Nio is the   battery swap stations if you would want to know  more about swap stations in general or about the   new ET5 touring I have done a full review of this  car and that's another video I'll put the link up   here when it comes to the boot it has a boot  capacity of 450 L it doesn't have any Frank so   it's among the smallest uh boots in in this race  together with the Porsche but the Porsche still   has a Frank this one doesn't but this is how many  bags it fits 450 L of boot capacity there's no   Frank on this one either let's see how this went  tight as you see but still possible two cabin bags one midsize two midsize the third one midsize still and the last  this is the big one so that's impressive for 450   L feels more than its actual capacity but what I  did I removed the floor cuz as you see there's a   couple of liters extra space and that helps me  to like have the bags standing so that's really   good there's no possibility to angle the rear  uh bench so there's no extra room you can gain   we are closing into the end Final Destination  we have some uh tight ranges left I think the   tightest spot is Matias in the zeker what's your  status you talked about Turtle mode 0% charge Etc   is that correct yeah that's correct it's been  0% batteries for the past 5 km uh right now I'm   doing 30 km and it's getting worse uh but it's  downhill a bit yeah and I have a few kilometers   left till this charging station yeah might not  make it might make it I think it will make it   pro hopefully you have you're driving on the last  buff for now but uh yeah it sounds a bit worrying   I mean 50 km per hour is a max speed now that's  uh that's tight but I think it's like as I said   two or three km left to to the actual charger  so you'll probably make it good uh otherwise to   20 km is it 20 now yeah I cannot do anything oh  here's the Chargers here's the chargers there's   four fast Chargers here now and all of them are  free so just make it in and charge I'm rolling   you're rolling I'm actually just rolling down  okay so don't miss them they are just to the   right there I can't do anything I'm just rolling  but it's downhill I'm saved by the it's downhill   and you do you see the charges now uh not yet  I'm close it's still 1.5 km for the zeker okay   that's really tight so how is  it going for the Porsche and the id7 so the latest update on the Porsche is uh  I've got 14% left on the battery which gives   me a range of 60 kilm okay so you'll probably  make it all the way to the Final Destination   cuz we have like I will make it we have 32 km  left so you will make it for sure are you a   bit stressed or you feel fine oh it's okay  I was in The Seer before okay uh I left my   stress in the Zeekr okay good so M Matias is  carrying that stress now and then we have the   id7 how is that going it's going well uh we  have 8% of charge left and uh we have 42 km   left in range okay so you also have a consumption  of 18 that's good that's good and you have then   you have a margin of like 10 km after arri so  that's also okay I guess good I think I think it   will make it yeah so we may have two cars making  it all the way to the end destination impressive   450 km that's good during winter time and with  this conditions I'm just going to check back   to to the Zeekr how is it going are you have you  reached the charger where's yeah I'm looking for   the uh charger it's four big charges you can't  miss them just to the right after the petrol station so Matias battery has just  finished just at the charging station so Matias how did you make it just barely  or rolled in roll and now is dead totally   de completely dead and we have a problem  you roll in I took the first part and now   the charging port is on this side of the car  and the charging station is to the right of   the car okay so we have uh we have an issue  an issue right now as Mattias said we have   the charging port on the left on the left  side and it's really icy here and we cannot   move the car because it's just finished and the  charging is here so he's actually mananaging by himself so you can see I need to  uh I can put push you I will push   you I can push you you have to move  your car oh okay I need to move my car are you ready with the  break yeah okay perfect are you sure okay perfect was pretty lucky was a bit down  slope that's pretty crazy actually on [Laughter] the okay so that was crazy so how did it feel was  it uh I'm glad I have here with friends and not   by myself or with the family in the car that  would have been stressful yeah but is it okay the but we did make it we  we did it perfect [Music] [Music] the first car to arrive is the Porsche and uh let  us check your state of charge Dennis how do you   feel your you feel fine no worries no worries easy  peasy easy peasy 6% yeah and remaining range 23 km   so that's what you have left so 100 you actually  spent 94 % for 459 km yeah from door to door,   from door to door one charge Stockholm - Idre yes  and here we also have the guys that unloading the   car they also arrived with id7 in one single  charge and that's impressive cuz this battery   pack is actually smaller and I don't know if  you see it but it has has 8% state of charge   no 8 km left with 1% state of charge as you see  here that's clear so 1% 8 km that's really a bit   risky to to go that way I mean it's a bit of a  small margin I guess Porsche is okay 8% or 6%   this has one and the Zeekr is on the way charging  up just finished the charging so they will arrive   in half an hour and then we have uh together  with him to support him we have the BMW I5 so   these guys are a bit uh tired today I guess and  that's Peder by the way has helped us out filming   documenting yeah a lot of uh helpful stuff for  us to to be able to do this and this is the lunch   it's not that snowy but it's getting colder  so this is the second day we are in idra and   have had a good sleep long travel yesterday  and today it's time to actually choose and   pick your favorite among all the cars so  we tested five cars yesterday and Dennis   I think you are the starter here so which one  is your favorite car which one would you pick   it's quite uh unexpected okay um but after driving  all the five cars yesterday I actually have two   good favorites okay two you need to choose one  but you can mention both yeah I will make that   choice based on my needs today y I have a family  I need a car that's reliable and has the space uh   so I will definitely go for the BMW yeah the fun  thing is that that when we talked before getting   the cars you said like I don't want to test drive  the BMW cuz I don't like BMW yeah I mean I I when   it comes to BMW I like the SUVs yeah but I  think that all the other cars onem three five   series they have never been a car for me because  you're sitting so close to the ground yeah more   sporty feeling to them yeah but the SUVs has  been okay yeah what I felt with the I5 was   that you're sitting a little bit more off the  ground yeah and then I like all the features   uh and especially the comfort so your least  favorite pikon which one would you really not   go for it will definitely be the the Neo okay I  I think I expected more from that car Matthew yes   your favorite with a reason again on top I have  two favorite cars but I'm going to choose one   yeah H and that is the r I have Zeekr a really  special relationship with the Seeker now yeah   last this accident yeah absolutely uh but again I  really like that car uh a lot it has some issues   really software issues that I hope they solve in  the future but even with those I would say that's   really nice car the quality driving handling it's  really really nice car yeah okay so the the least   the Le again yeah that's also based on again some  family needs and buyer perspective yeah uh and I   was really disappointed on the porch again from  how we were driving yesterday no it was not track   driving it was not fast it it took it easy it was  a slippery yeah so a bit disappointed it's a lot   of money and the wow factor wasn't there uh Soo  it costs almost it costed twice as the the Zeekr   in this Cas you can buy two zers for the price of  of this and the back seat there is no back seat   no uh I mean it's not a touring car for a family  no let's jump over to you yeah uh favorite pick   favorite pick it's a hard one uh I think all of  the cars are good yeah none of them are bad per   se but uh it's it's it's a good lineup five good  cars yeah all of them I would I could live with   all of them yeah um but for me it's also like  two choices would be the BMW or the Zeekr yeah   would be my favorites um like the Zeekr is more  unique uh like the interior like it's designed   but still minimalistic a bit different compared  to what we're used and it's like the performance   is really good we didn't use it yesterday but you  have four-wheel drive over 500 hp uh but the BMW   was really comfy yeah the I thought the lights and  everything would be tacky that doesn't no but it's   it's yeah no but it looks good actually still a  premium feel yeah it feels really good yeah so so   which one did you pick you're you're talk you're  just still thinking talking about yeah I'm like   really confused about them uh it's like 50/50 you  need to pick one uh then I would go for the zeker   just because of the uni two zers here yeah yeah  so it's almost the same price point the BMW we   have here is a bit more expensive because it's uh  it has a lot more uh equipment than on the entry   L level but you can get the rear whe drive car  for approximately the same price but without all   that b belts and whistles but still Zeekr yeah but  then you get the four-wheel drive more performance   and you also helped Matias during the the the  energy run out yesterday but you still like   yeah of course cuz the consumption is really  not the best no it's a big battery yeah it's   a big battery pack so you still have decent range  push them like normally I would when we eat lunch   I would just plug it in minutes and wouldn't be a  problem no but we need we like to push it here so   exactly the bottom car is is also hard uh because  all the cars are good um none of them was bad per   say like I don't have any children or anything  but I think the id7 is really boring it's not   a bad car I think it's like soulless yeah I feel  like I don't care about cars when I buy it well   you just want to go from A to B yeah yeah and uh  but it took us all the way to this place without   charging I know it's a really good car it's comfy  and it looks good normally but it's it's like I   don't know it's like the cheapest car in the tust  too yeah it feels soless let's move over to Marcus   oh you told me this morning that you had a hard  time even yesterday evening you have a hard time   like really thinking of which car you wanted to go  for yeah uh I think it all five cars are amazing   cars uh but I'm into your uh topic as well uh with  the id7 it feels like buying a any Volkswagen you   can buy is the same thing inside yeah you have  almost the same equipment of course they updated   the entertainment system but still it still feels  like a Volkswagen yeah which is quite soulless   it's it's a like a working man's car my favorite  will be the Seeker because too okay yeah cuz it   felt more premium I even uh if I wouldn't see the  price tags before and I didn't know anything about   Seeker no I would think that the Seeker would be  more expensive than the Porsche okay because it   felt more premium inside so I guess that's M turn  I I don't even know this is hard uh I've always   liked the Zer it's one of my favorites for sure  and I want to put the Porsche at the top for my   needs it's too expensive and doesn't give me the  the Practical aspects that you really need even if   it's good I mean this the boot space is okay you  have the frunk Etc we did the you and me we did   the the trunk test or the loading test and it it  loads good it actually loads better than the Neo   and that's thanks to the Frank in the front you  can you can utilize that and you can put on a   tow hitch Etc but the back seat is still too  small for my needs okay so so the top pick is   I think it's actually between the BMW and the  Zer for me too because I really like the Zer   I like the especially with the big rims it's  a it's a big and like beefy car looks really   good on the road and it also drives good I'm  a bit disappointed on the on the consumption   I have tested it before and it doesn't perform  as good as a lot of other cars I mean I expect   like 50 or 60 km more out of that battery size  so that's a bit disappointing I hope it's more   software related so we can get more range of it  uh later on but but still a bit too inefficient   so that's probably my reason for picking  the BMW instead as as a top pick my favorite   aspect with the BMW is is uh for sure the the  right quality it's so smooth it's so silky and   it's so silent it's it's like another world  compared to the other cars it's so much more   silky even if the Zeekr has the the IR suspension  the BMW is something else and the fit and finish   the quality of the Interior is really topnotch and  at the bottom line in this lineup is hard I think   it's the Neo because it's a lot smaller than  other cars that's the main reason it's getting   dark soon so we need to to Really pack up and  go home because we have five or six hours of of   travel home y but we will summarize the total trip  the consumption of every car the range you can get   out of it uh of a full battery pack but also costs  of charging Etc so so a comprehensive View [Music] okay so this is a couple of days later we have  summarized and crunched all the numbers you have   them here this is the final result the consumption  range the costs everything and and we are sitting   in the an Audi sq6 by the way and this is a review  car we're going to have it for almost two weeks   we're going to dissect it in the smallest detail  but that's later about the trip two cars managed   it to the Final Destination very impressive the  id7 and the Porsche and we actually thought that   all cars was going to manage this 459 km of of  distance yeah but we didn't consider the elevation   the bad weather the bad road conditions but with  all that said it's still very impressive yeah   I mean especially the ig7 yeah with one of the  smallest batteries but with the highest efficiency   of them all by a margin yeah impressive impressive  impressive efficiency I didn't give or I think we   didn't give ID7 credit enough during the video I'm  going to actually change my top pick that was the   BMW I5 the so smooth right to this to to the id7  actually to the id7 GTX because it's a really it's   a bargain I mean the cheapest car to test like  the best range yeah if you don't consider the   Porsche overall a great package uh especially for  the price yeah especially for the price the boot   capacity the rear seats space the comfort with  the active dampers everything is included massage   sound system you have everything in it everything  and for a very competitive price and the charging   is great I mean it charged almost as fast as the  Porsche with 800 volt system 26 minutes 10-80%.   which also is really impressive that's really  impressive for a 400 volt system so this means   that you could drive like fully charge a car at  home yeah Drive all the way to the cabin without   any stops no charging stay the weekend or what  you want to do charge the car up in the weekend   and then drive all the way home without any stops  again so you can do only home charging at both   locations so you don't need to do any stops and  you will save a lot of money yeah and if you have   a small bladder that's not possible if you have  a big bladder you can just blast and go yeah one   go could be and then it would cost like 200 SEK  or € 18 depending that's cheap yeah that's cheap   and that's with my electricity prices I mean €18  nothing that's that's really cheap for going 900   km yeah and you can do it for the whole family  yeah for € 18 or 200 SEK yeah whole weekend yeah   that's impressive also that's really impressive  we wouldn't recommend to push it that much though   I mean id7 was just like on the edge I mean 1%  ster charge and 8 km left in range then you have a   small buffer underneath that but it's still a bit  risky going pushing it that hard it is but Porsche   with 6% yeah more safe margin more safe and if you  go for smaller rims then you will add even more   range or drive a little bit slower or maybe better  better weather conditions yeah then we'll be fine   we'll be fine yeah I just want to send a special  thanks to Matias one of the drivers in the video   he lended us his cabin really great place I put a  link to it in the description cuz it's possible to   to rent it if you're interested in that check the  the description and uh just also want to mention   that we have put a lot of effort and time and  money into this video I mean collecting all the   cars all the cars are press cars by the way so  it's official press cars from every brand here   in Sweden so top-notch cars with that said  we will really appreciate you if you really   helped us to spread the word share this  video like it subscribe to the channel for   more content like this and most importantly stay  electric thank you for watching speak to you soon
