Dubai 2020 | Travel during pandemic | Hotel Room Tour
hey everyone now we are in the airport and we are about to fly to dubai our flight is in one and a half hours now i'm sitting in Astana international airport business lounge i'm actually flying with economy i have the economy ticket but they let me into the business lounge i'm flying to dubai with my family i'll show you some videos from the business lounge of our airport our airport is like the newly built one it was built i think one year ago um they promised that the airport would be like very big international style and everything it's okay for our country i think but i think i expected a bit more so what i like about this lounge is that they have many sockets and also i like the design looks quite stylish and kind of poshy but what i didn't really like is the amount and variety of food that they have here because um again i think everyone kind of expected to have more it is okay it's not bad of course like to have this kind of food for free is always good but yeah i think it would be better if they had like a more variety of food or like some fresher food because the food here i wouldn't say that it was that fresh but what is good about this lounge is that they have a coffee machine so the food in this lounge is not great we didn't really like it that much they didn't have that much of a variety of food they didn't have hot food they had like only hot snacks they had like many drinks beverages and you can have as many drinks as you want or as much food as you want but what i liked about this lounge is that they have many sockets so that you can charge your uh laptop and phone they have quite comfortable seats like how comfortable chairs and arm chairs hello good morning everyone so our room has a balcony with the sea view and here is how it looks like so yes this is the view from our balcony it's very very beautiful the sea looks amazing this is what we don't have like back in my country we don't have well at least in my city in my country we don't have sea and all the people in our country they always when they travel abroad they directly go to the sea straight away or otherwise take the room with the sea view like us and at our balcony we have this little spot to sit enjoying some drinks and other stuff now we're going to breakfast interesting thing about the breakfast is that when we were there yesterday we went to breakfast right way when we arrived to the hotel and due to the Covid situation now they don't allow tourists to serve breakfast to themselves like at the buffet, what they do is that they have like a separate person standing at each kind of section of the breakfast food and they serve the food for you it's a little bit uncomfortable uh because it kind of creates the queue but anyway it's fine like they try to serve everything very fast and they really try to be polite and friendly nice thank you thank you very much thank you thank you very much thank you so currently we are at the beach i think we will order some drinks maybe maybe later some food uh we bought like a half-board package for this hotel which um includes like two which which means that you can have like food in the hotel two times for free and like for a third meal you just have to pay either in the hotel or just go somewhere outside so our hotel is located on the palm it's called Sofitel it's located like on the artificial palm island in Dubai and it's our first time when we chose the hotel on the palm because previously we were always choosing the hotels which are not located on the Palm but are located on the main kind of area of dubai but this time decided to choose hotel on the palm and that is why our sea on the palm has like a different kind of view, if you see like if you look at the sea from here um you'll be able to see like buildings on the other side so it's not like a total complete sea view and i guess this is how it works like in hotels on the palm so you will be able to see the other side as well. Basically the food in the hotel is quite good not bad service is also good i liked everything i like everything in this hotel but like it needs a little a little refreshment so maybe a little renovation because you can tell that it was built a long time ago but still they try to keep it very clean very comfortable for the tourists and it has everything that you need so i like it. Usually when i come to this kind of beach vacations i never swim in the pool i right way go to the beach and i swim in the sea because you can find pools like anywhere in the world in any country or city but the sea is what you come here for to dubai you know so i'd rather be swimming in the sea when i go to the beach location which has the real sea. I've ordered some food, so here it is it is a quinoa chickpea salad with avocados we are now back from the beach and i'm about to take a shower, the shower here is really cool it's like uh the water is coming from the top so it looks like a rain you can see it's like so cool it's very comfortable to take the shower here really like this kind of showers. They have the Elemis products, i really love Elemis i love the scent and i love the quality and i know that it's kind of cruelty free. They also in dubai they have this Bioderma in Boots for sale or for offer like
buy one get one free, bought that as well and also here in the hotel they have this company which i heard about it before and i had the product from it before it's really good as well so yeah nice. Here is the entrance to our room the closets are over here then there is a big mirror here they have the snacks and um water and like a tea making machine they don't have a coffee machine they just have the like quick fast dissolving coffee and here is the bath here is the door to the bathroom it can be opened and you can see like the bath tub there they have the shower and the bath tub as well um they have a place for the luggage here the tv like this cosmetics area with the mirror and here's the sofa and the most beautiful view of course the most beautiful place of course is this balcony with an amazing view i love the only thing is that they have all of their sockets in here so you charge your phone and everything here but they do not have the sockets near the bed so that it would be really nice if they could put sockets there as well we are about to go to lunch and i just wanted to show you - so we bought this spf cream uh the first day we came here in one of the shops in the hotel this spf is really good first of all the packaging is amazing and it has spf 50 protection the smell of this spf is just amazing i really loved it and the application it's very easy you just press on this thing you don't have to like squeeze it in anything the texture itself is so smooth very smooth very easy to use and i recommend this one if you see it anywhere in the future and then also uh yesterday we were at the Emirates mall and i bought myself this really pretty face mask i bought it from Marks and Spencer i didn't remember how much it cost i think it cost about 20 or 30 dirham so yes yesterday we went to the emirates mall i didn't really film there were like some discounts going on although for some reason i didn't see like any signs that would say like discount discount only like if you ask the sales assistant they will tell you that this item is on discount for example otherwise you wouldn't even know that the item is on discounts also in emirates mall there is like a very comfortable service that they have it's called hands-free so they have like a couple of counters in the emirates mall and basically if you buy like a lot of stuff and you are carrying lots of bags with you uh you can just give your bags to them they will store it in their like storage room it's a completely free service and whenever you're ready to go and leave them all you just call them or like text them or you can just go back to the counter and ask them to bring your bags to you or also i heard that you can ask them to deliver these bags to any place in the city but if they deliver it outside the mall you will have to pay for it but anyway i think it's a very very comfortable service and i didn't find this kind of service in Dubai mall for example i only saw it in Emirates mall all people had to wear masks and i even saw like they were like a couple of guys who were wearing their masks like on their chin so they would not cover their mouth and nose and one of the security guards came up to them and asked them to kind of properly wear their masks properly i think the shopping malls close earlier these days due to Covid as well as well they also don't allow for the taxis to drop you off at the place where they used to drop you off usually before the Covid so basically now all the taxis drop off the customers at um a little bit like um far away from the mall but it's not that far away but it's not still it's not that usual place that it used to be good morning everyone i'm currently at the hotel gym in the morning it's like 9 a.m in the morning i came here about half an hour ago i did my legs a little bit of my arms like a little bit of everything and what is interesting about this gym is that they have the TechnoGym equipment, really cool the treadmills area has a very beautiful view to the sea the interesting part is that they try to keep the safety regulations and they kind of don't allow too many people inside the gym for example if they have like four treadmills only two of them will be ready for use and two of them will not be working oh so i'm currently at my brother's room and he has a very beautiful view from the balcony and yes this view is amazing here is Burj Al Arab and this is the territory of our hotel here you can see people eating drinking having fun it's all very pretty and the view is just amazing
