DESTINATION ESCAPE - Düstere Übernachtung | Episode 6 /7 | Switzerland Tourism
At the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne, our adventurers had to master the most exhausting and exciting challenge yet. When they had finally made it, they were glad to get a good night’s rest until the next morning when they took a trip to Engelberg. There, for the first time they had to split into two teams for a longer period.
Lukas and Sabrina stayed at the Herzlisee lake to get a bottle out of the cold water, while Niko and Annika tackled the climb to the peak. As team 1 finished much sooner, they followed the clue in one of the bottles. The clue took them to Interlaken on a remote hilltop, where they were surprised to meet Charlie.
He told them that there is something going very wrong behind the scenes and there seems to be sabotage within their own ranks. From then on, Sabrina und Lukas trusted nobody, not even their own teammates. To get back on track and catch up, they had to take a ride into the valley with a paraglider, where they met up with Niko and Annika.
Together they went on to the St. Beatus cave. They were led nearly a kilometer into the cave system, when the lights went out and they were trapped. Nooo! I don’t find you funny at all. You can’t be fucking serious.
Yo! No. What do we do now? Can somebody feel their way to the bag? I quit. Can somebody? So, I thought they were having a little fun with us. This is funny for ten minutes. Ha, ha, the lights are out.
You’re staying in the cave. And then somehow nobody came and resolved the prank. Okay, so. Letter. Are you all by the bag? Yes.

It may even have been one of my best nights, I have to honestly say, the fresh air, the dripping all around, I found it almost therapeutic. That was another nice team experience too. After the entrance to the cave was opened again, their next clue led them to the historic center of Bern. The Bern region is in the West of Switzerland. The city of Bern is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site and the seat of the Swiss government. Bern offers a charming, medieval atmosphere, with countless fountains, sandstone facades, alleyways and historic towers.
Dear Team, I got a call from someone named Thomas Eichler. The man apparently thought he could play tricks on you these last days. Even though he voluntarily shared some of his wealth with you, I don’t trust him. He seems to think this will get him off the hook. We should take a closer look at him.

In this challenge they are pressed for time and they have to travel the greatest distances. They have to use the poem and the map to find out which fountains are important for solving the puzzle. When they have found the right fountain, they have to fill a small glass vial with the water. Then they still have to find a number, by counting the matching objects on the box in the fountain’s images. With the right number combination they can open the box and with the mixed water samples from the fountains, they have to get to the Zyt bell tower in the heart of the old town center before it closes. We have to read a map again and get to these...

The Vaud canton is located in the region of Lake Geneva and stretches from the Jura region to the Vaud Alps, along many lakes that blend with the charms of the scenery. The vineyard Domaine de Bovy lies idyllically in a wine growing region and the UNESCO World Heritage site Lavaux is on Lake Geneva. The picture is on here. Indeed.

Please. With an annoying song in their heads they now know their next destination: Chillon Castle. But on the way there they have to kill a little time and are again invited by their new benefactor Mr. Eichler to a waterski trip in Estavayer. Since the rope climbing park was so entertaining, they can now have another competition against one another.
The canton of Fribourg is in western Switzerland and is known for its two languages. The west speaks French; the east speaks German. Our participants have to go up against one another again. Again, the goal is to have the best time at the end.
They have three rounds each to get the best possible time on the skis. Miss Outdoor. The one who stands upright the longest at the end of three rounds wins the challenge. The losers, however, agree to accept a special task from Mr. Eichler. To tell their heroic tale. Whatever that means.
I do feel like it. But the thing is, I think we’ve all noticed by now that balance is not my thing. That’s not my strong suit.
But I do feel like it. In theory. I really feel like it. I’ve never done it,
so I have no expectations of myself. That means it can only be a lot of fun. I really feel like it. It is a little windy. And I think none of us has ever been wakeboarding or waterskiing. I’m also a really, really bad skier.
I can’t wait to see how we do. So we're doing a full round. Arms straight, okay? Bend the knees. You want to go first, to show everyone, right? Annika goes first. I’ll show you how it’s done.

Right there I was sure that Annika would definitely be the best, because she just got on those water skis and just rode around, like it was the most normal thing in the world, like she does it every day. And she set a good time to beat for us, that would be hard to top.
She’s going to do circles for 60 minutes. Yeah, I think so too. She’s not going to fall off at all. Where is Annika? Huh? I think we lost Annika somewhere back there. The thing is, if Niko can do it, we can too.

Annika took such a clear lead in the first round, that it will be hard for the others, to catch up in the next two rounds. Or will Annika use the second round to make her lead even bigger? Woah, that’s really exhausting. I mean, I think it’s great that we’re doing something sporty now.
But that was really hard. I think I have a cramp here in my arm. You don’t know exactly when it will start. Then the countdown starts. And it yanks you away. You have no chance to stay standing up.
I don’t know how Miss Zion did it. But I don’t think I’m getting anywhere today. What is it like when you fall? Ah, I didn’t even get it. The first shoe went, then the other shoe and I just kept hanging on and had them drag me through the water. Actually, I thought the whole time ok, it’s over.

Now if somebody gets further than me, I’ll have to go again. Hi! That was really fun once you’ve made it that far. You really just have to follow instructions and stay down and then, when you’re steady, come up slowly. Amazing.

Will everything change at the last minute again? Or can Annika hold on to her lead and come out the winner? We already know that we shouldn’t underestimate Lukas’ competitiveness. It turned out that Annika is pretty good, Sabrina is pretty good, Lukas not so much. I knew, I’m not getting better. So all I wanted was to get on that ramp. I see already, I have no chance against Annika. She’s doing circles.
So I’m going to do something different. It was easy to see, skis aren’t working out. I’m trying something different. And after that, I’ll try a jet ski. Niko! If you make it further than me, I’ll give it to you. Three, two, one, jump.
