Deep Into India from Badami Cave Temples. We Cause A Spectacle!
day three just Wok up in the morning opened the curtains and there's monkeys all over the roof what an amazing site that is now it's yeah it's day three is I just working up so we are just going for a short ride to the badamy temples and then uh we'll be doing another ride into the countryside onwards towards hampy so let's go was Bloody steep very steep we are just doing a short ride into uh we're in the town of badamy we're going to check out the incredible temples which are carved into the walls of these Cliff faces it's unbelievable now this morning we are in a place called badame um these are incredible caves that are carved out of the uh Cliff side um it's absolutely incredible I can't believe this so we're going to explore the caves uh we'll show you some Snippets of that and then we'll get onto the classic 350s and head off towards hampy which is one of the most incredible temples in the world I just spotted this in the car part it's a force Matador what a cool V bench seats proper retro beautiful cool uh hub caps um what a nice vehicle yeah isn't it beautiful this cave was uh excavated for the God fishu so we're going to have a look inside because it's an Incredible S that's let's take our shoes off don't we do we a p a pig have bats really B [ __ ] where did that go let's have a look it stinks of urine we got anything with the light on good the carvings are so intricate aren't they yeah yeah look at this floor it's just like polished from hundreds and hundreds of years of people walking over it unbelievable yeah bat droppings everywhere holy they're so Fearless aren't they oh my God monkeys everywhere all over the rock face they're just absolutely Fearless can't believe how well they this is a polished with people walking on it too yeah wow look at that you could live in here couldn't you you hear that yeah that's a bat isn't it it might be all monkeys you think it's a bat could be a monkey yeah oh imagine living here this is what you do sit in here put your fire on at night quite nice look out of that this is quite aside isn't it oh my God imagine what it was like before they built all the new town that would have been incredible extensive s what a place deep God now we've come to I think no not the top halfway up probably yeah uh there's another vlogger motorcycle vlogger with us on this turn now uh we we'll show you who she is later yes now I'm going to translate for you the uh Hindi here basically the cave 3 we're at now it was created in 578 CE uh for the uh God Maha Vishnu so i' I've translated all that for you amazing through the countryside and head towards hampy so it's going to be another fullon day of riding but it's going to be absolutely incredible so uh let's go for it my back is absolutely killing me my lower back uh from yesterday's ride It's a combination of issues I mean I've got a slightly bad back anyway my lower back is very stiff uh which is odd for someone of my age but um the combination of that and the classic 350 being a little bit probably on the small side for me after a while means that it flares up my back issues so I've really need to get it sorted out I've checked out some osteopaths but nothing's sorted me yet so uh if anyone has any suggestions on making my lower back less stiff I'd be uh more than welcome welcoming to hear them Indian tractors are the most glorious looking tractors in the world they're so nicely decorated and I noticed yesterday that in the countryside a lot of the tractors have got these huge stereo systems in the back and they're blasting out you know bang rutes it's quite cool but you wouldn't expect someone in such a rural area to have that in a tractor because the Villages seem so back in time and then they've got a tractor with a big stereo system so it's quite a uh contrast but it's absolutely incredible this bike soaks up the bumps much more than you would expect and uh at the end of this trip we're going to do an updated review of this classic 350 and how it copes with the Indian environment uh the conditions that you put up with here in India and how the bike can cope with it so it's going to be interesting um because it's surprised us this bike unbelievable look at this hello that is just beautiful wow little bit tight just coming into some uh Sandy Rocky parts now so obviously we've got road tires as well so not perfect but be surprised be surprised how capable all this classic 350 is Offroad F me going up okay BR it what a country I keep saying that but here it comes easy peasy doggy out the way doggy not now silly doggy it's the worst time for you to cross the road oh that's brilliant isn't it incredible what they can carry on their heads look at all of that how the hell how does that stay there what a skill hello I like your dress very nice now we just stopped in this uh town to get some chai and some bananas and I accidentally tried to pay him in uh Korean one cuz I still had in my wallet oh sorry guys I'm arriving in the middle of the how did you find that uh off-road bit it was fine um obviously we got road tires on the bike so in the sand it's a little bit you know iffy um but these bikes handle surprisingly well Offroad so if you put trials tires on this you can go anywhere obviously the suspension's not very much travel so you know you're not going to take the bumps fast or hard but it'll roll over them perfectly fine a bit too small I think shop with some lovely suet here now just stopped here for lunch I'm not sure where we are try and find out another busy town lots of motorbikes motorbikes everywhere aren there more motorbikes in India from what we've seen and I've seen in my entire life already Dar is just doing some photographs with the Sony and we're going to go and have lunch in here so let's go and have a look going here come here hey this is going to be a lovely lunch it's alive green chili in butter not too hot very tasty this restaurant is known area known for this um I'm not sure what it is yet we'll tell you in a minute when I eat it hot what interesting that in England um people don't want you to take their photograph in India they come and ask you to and they they come up to selfie you know so they love it don't they we've been in India now for about 6 days and I'm probably the only white European who's come to India and got constipated we just left the main highway now and we're taking an off-road route and it's spectacular Countryside here and my observations over the last few days we've been driving not only through Countryside but through cities and everything most of it is Countryside and it goes forever it's huge and the one thing that I can say is that uh Indian people know how to farm because the fields are fantastic it's sustainable they do it by hand and by oxen or cow I'm not sure what they are and it is absolutely amazing and they have such a variety of crops all beautifully cultivated harvested by hand um and they have oxen carts to put all the produce onto it is absolutely exemplary and there's a lesson to be learned to the Western World for S uh sustainable farming the Indians do it better than anyone I've ever seen now this off-road whoops this off-road track is uh this is actually a new route and uh in front we have Gillum is the tour leader from vintage rides fabulous french guy and we're just trying a new route to get to the destination today which cuts out a lot of horrible Motorway work so it's much nicer to come to places like this and sit on the motorway I don't know if you can see those rocks in the distance there one of them is pure white and basically what's happened is that over many many many centuries not centuries decades well maybe centuries birds have sat there and pooped and it's completely white top with Bird poo how about that this looks good proper off-road section here this lovely soil here you know it's very um it's Sandy but it's kind of coarse sand it's quite grippy there's a chap there farmer he's sewing would seeds cuz there's a crop there he's sewing uh or maybe a seed or fertilizer by hand everything's done by hand here that's what sustainable farming from Rajasthan not sure why they uh came here but they did um and they're such lovely people the children are just so friendly and they're so intrigued to see who you are where you come from it's just today maybe even 100 that's the most I've given in my whole life ohy are we even going the right way honestly I don't know oh that looks deep oh my God this is unbelievable this is the most beautiful place I've ever been to on a motorcycle possibly ever wow I wouldn't come down here in a ncy day oh be very slippery this is amazing again it just shows you that this classic 350 can go much further than you might think it's great fun oops sorry sorry m hi everyone I'm Nat I'm traveling with them and I've been forced to wear this microphone and go here somewhere just to introduce myself to you tonight he's going to see what I recorded and tomorrow is's going to ask me to do it again hold than all right riding back down this mountain now lot of uh loose sort of uh rocks I don't know what they are if you're a geologist please comment below good engine braking on this bike actually first gear that isn't bad at all so Royal Enfield classic 350 Mountain Goat it seems to me as well that um you can go anywhere you like in India there's no rules and regulations like we have in the UK but in the UK you got one one's a footpath one's a brid way one's a byway one's a unclassified Road there's so many different things and you can and can't do various things on them here do what you like same with the road rules basically don't crash and that's it just ride Drive be sensible you know we got so many rules in the UK and the Western world that it's stifling and it makes it more apparent when you come to somewhere like this people are amazing Countryside is amazing the farming is exemplary the landscape is spectacular the city is a full of life bit rubbish but apart from that India is incredible absolutely incredible on this uh classic 350 we got the heel toe shifter which they have more in India cuz hey people ride with um flip-flops sandals so makes it much easier for that now if you're an adventure bike rider and you're saying we should be standing up then we're not going to comment back cuz it's what a sight hey look massive rocks is that flipping out is that monkey Sunset it's a nice a rock so I hope you're enjoying this tour of India Mr Dar NE man uh honestly if you want to do it like I said before vintage rides go on the website book it all this is the South India tour and it's literally the time of my life it's fantastic oo [ __ ] front went in the sound then there's guys fishing off the beautiful River very clean so I don't know where we are just arrived at this Resort which we're staying at for two nights it's absolutely Divine I mean it's got these little uh sort of Huts um oh what's that frog just jumped on oh no on it no they fine amazing ride today absolutely incredible ride all day long the most extensive Countryside imaginable I've never never realized India had such extensive Countryside because you always think it's built up but they really do know how to farm sustainably like I said in the RO and this is our house for the night look at that wow so we got two beds this is hard water Swit this is water water thank you wonderful thank you very much thank you very much so let's have a look in here so we have oh wow like a semicircular room wet room shower there BR right dinner
