China Urban Village Shock : uncovering biggest one in Guangzhou ｜The Reality You Won't Believe!
it is the most expensive urban village i just saw a mouse running around beyond my imagination more cramped and more dense hello good morning i'm still in Guangzhou this is my last day in Guangzhou and i want to visit the biggest urban village in Guangzhou but i kinda get lost right now when i use the navigation and it got me here so it just got me so confused it's not urban village this talking like modern city and then i ask someone the local people and he told me okay uh this one is a like a smaller urban village there's nothing just a residence area but if i want to go to the urban village Shipai villiage which is like a five hundred meters away so i'm heading to the biggest urban village i'm on my way but i was still surprised by you know how modern it is just not far away from the biggest urban villiage so check out the surroundings i just can't believe so there is the biggest urban village just in nearby so that's surprising finally i got here let me show you this one and you know on the road of the two sides is a totally different world check out the other side on the right side is highest buildings the skyscrapers is crazy but only like thirty meters this side it's urban village but this village is kind of special it's the biggest urban village and also with the longest history so people also say it is the most expensive urban village it is surrounded by highest buildings and also like super fancy shopping malls also the most prestigious university i gonna do a little bit challenge like ten dollar challenge and yeah let's check it out together like it with ten dollars which is equivalent to around more than 70 yuan so check it what can we buy yeah i'm so looking forward yeah right now it s noon today it s also super super super sunny and super hot so i heard about like most of the people here they're migrant workers from all over China because the living expenses here is much cheaper it's way cheaper but also with the established transportation and also the hospital the the college so the infrastructions around here is amazing all that restaurant just opened i think in the night is much more vibrant compared now uh people still are sleeping people just at vacants or at vacation 人们只想多睡一会儿，多休息一会儿 and get rest more people usually get hang out at the night not hard so but there are still a lot going on let's just check it out and i heard a lot of the local people we could get lost in the urban village yeah i'm pretty sure i have no sense of direction i am pretty sure i'm i'm getting lost but it doesn't matter i found this i found this primary school just into the urban village yeah it's a nice primary school i found something crazy i know the handshake building or the kissing building but i didn't realize how close it is it is just a side by side let me show you this one can you see that one the orange one and also the white one it's definitely just side by side there is no extra room between the two buildings so there's no sunshine at all in the urban village you have to pay extra money for the sunshine or for the balcony oh that's pretty harsh like i don't know how does this work let's get inside and check out have a look a little bit oh so this is a price here like the big and smaller single room it's like a studio as the price is between 600 yuan to wow to 8500 thousand five hundred this one one living room and one bedroom is 1000 yuan and 1300 yuan so the price here is very affordable so it is explained why the migrant workers they choose to live here when they first time came to guangzhou for earn money wow this is crazy this is all socks it's selling oh so here in this area we can still see the sunshine though there are a lot of prices about the rain but in this area it's totally dark i just smell you up some uncomfortable this is beyond my imagination Ahhh it's just pretty pretty dark even no extra room for the sunshine to come through and so in the first floor there are the motorbikes electronic scooters just park here and also like the cables and they charge through here through the windows it's kind of dangerous right because the electronic scooters is kind of dangerous it always happened to the accident like the fire but inside i think everyone's room is still very clean and organized have a look at all the cables it's a little bit messy but it's still organized yeah and is i didn't expect this even in in the urban village we still got these infrastructures for people who live in here at the tennis table and also the playground for playing basketball so people still have have activities and have doing exercise and sports so i yeah it's not that so bad this is still very clean Welcome. Welcome. the barber shop and also the hotel apartment and a lot of business going on the small vendors a convenience store oh i'm already lost but as long as i can get out it's okay oh it's pretty easy for the grocery shopping it's just a nearby it's just go downstairs and you can get everything there's a supermarket there's a grocery shopping store it's super super convenient the fresh veggies the corn oh so it's just in front of the stores and the price here is cheaper it's much cheaper also the fruit the fruit store is a supermarket and the dragon fruit 10 yuan for five pieces this is our fruit area yeah it's very fresh and then let's go inside oh this is snacks area instant noodles and this is smelly rice noodles that's good price all the snacks yes a little fish it's 4.9yuan spicy stripes yeah this is spicy stripes and are my favorite snacks in my childhood is very popular in China and everyone love latiao it's a spicy flavor it's more than spicy just so flavorful potato here is five yuan per one and a half kilo yeah i have to say the price here it's so cheap it's very friendly price at a supermarket you could get everything and it s super clean the street oh Sorry, scraped this off me.

get out i don't know i just who keep walking and i wanted to find some restaurant to eat my lunch but i hadn't it seems like i'm in the residential area not much business going on i don't know just to keep going yes why it is so so crazy you know guangzhou developed so early has a long history and also the only entrance trading with the world in Qing dynasty so Chinese people from other cities just flock to guangzhou to make money there are a lot of opportunities and also they need cheap places to live the urban village that's why it is built because the land of these houses they just try build more and more so they can rent out more they can make money more it makes this priority of that time is just to develop the economy so the government management and the land management is not so strict， people they just build more and more buildings they just don't care if you get the sunshine or not they just want to make money they just want to rent as more as possible but it is hard to say place in this mega city and they could get the service the infrastructures around here it's like the transportation and the commitments of life especially the last generations they are very frugal
