Chaotic $10 Challenge in Dhaka, Bangladesh
I am in Old Dhaka in Bangladesh and we're going to be seeing how much we can get for ten dollars we're going to be doing the famous 10 challenge in Old DACA we're going to be getting everything food drink maybe a massage an item maybe some some lovely fake shoes we'll see um first of all I'm very hungry so we're gonna try and find uh some beef Palau it's the only dish that I haven't tried here and yeah ten dollars is very easy to do the conversion it's like uh basically 10 000 taka so it's very easy oh jalebi wow look at this little mini mini oh here we go we have the John happy seller this is the finished product over here thank you we've got some sesame seeds on it's moja very sweet oh wow moja we're getting there's issue no space here at all so basically he gets the um it's like a pastry and he makes his little swells you can see they've got a line of them and then we fry them in this big vat of oil you can see the heat under there and then we have a few minutes in here and then we have the final part over here the issue is he used to weigh them I don't know how much to say actually I'll just I'll just grab it myself okay one two we'll get one for later with the sesame seeds okay there we go that's good see flips over and uh you've got that Golden Brown look and this is like a in India they call this jalebi yeah they call it jalabi hello [Music] okay thank you sir syrupy oil like comes out but it's so hard the outer edging is hard but it's gooey on the inside it's really delicious one of my favorite little dessert from Bangladesh and this one's nicer than the one I had in India in India yeah a lot bigger but they're like uh kind of made me feel a bit sick this is just a nice smaller snack I am very good moja the beef Palau beef Palau beef Palau yeah yeah and these are actually pre they're pre-made somewhere else in the city and then they they deliver them so the food isn't actually made here it's just transported and he he uh wow look at the way he makes it okay wow we also got the egg potato this is a plate as a spoon whoa oh my God gives a little bit of everything the potato the egg and the beef okay very good at what he does okay let's go huh oh there's no space I can say here okay thank you hello we've tried chicken many times so we'll go for beef it's good of course moja do you speak Hindi okay here we go guys we have a huge portion here this is like actually a lot of food here and I just had tilapia so we're having dessert before the main course but look at this big portion of beef oh yeah and we're using our hands oh it's quite hot very hot actually grab it with the rice no it's good everything's so soft the beef is tender the rice is spicy spicier than I was expecting but it's okay I've been here for a while now I'm getting used to it again I really I'm not sure if I like eating with my hands but I'm learning I'm slowly getting used to it you also have a nice big boiled egg this egg this is chicken gravy oh yeah okay we'll try something like a chicken gravy oh that's good with the chicken gravy adds more flavor even though I didn't think we could get any more flavor but there is it's so good daddy oh wow this is too much too much what's the name um okay we have some beef to hurry it looks you can see the difference the rice is a different color they've also got like the beef off uh the bone quite hot but we'll go for it all very hot I think I prefer the the beef for this but the rice is better hummus so a lot more flavor the rice this is just plain rice but look how much food we have I'm not gonna time that they've given me the meal for free I was not expecting that [ __ ] so I don't know whether to include that in the price or not which will include that in the price so we have spent 200 Taco we've got 800 taka to spend and I'm full we've had a drink we've had dessert and I've had a meal and we've still got 800 to spend it is a busy day here today wow look at this cooking on the street the gents parlor hidden away assalamualaikum you do a head massage no no no massage um it's okay then so I feel like they think they're they're charging a really high price but 300 it's not a lot even even here they they seem to think that they don't seem to think that YouTube or Facebook couldn't be a job so I say I do YouTube and they're like oh so you're a student okay so 300 that means we've spent three dollars so that means 500 in total so we're only halfway through the challenge wow I didn't actually realize that the guy when I entered he wasn't actually working here he was a customer
