This guy wants to do a little contest with me Careful dude! Oh, what a ride Yoh Good morning Internet, it is 10:50, 10:55 in the morning and welcome back to the channel Now you're probably thinking.. 10:55 why are you so late? Well something happened in the last episode   Well yesterday. That's also why there wasn't a proper ending to the video. What happened was that   my helmet camera which I use the most.  It crashed or the SD card crashed   By now I know why that happened and also I know how to then recover all your footage so   Yeah, yesterday around 2 pm, I noticed that it said an SD error and I lost all of the footage   of the entire episode so I spent an hour on  the side of the road trying to figure it out   In the end I decided to keep on riding so I'm  now in Nosara which was my plan destination and   then I worked until after midnight last night to try and work it out and to recover all the files   And then now this morning.. so this morning it ran through the whole night and I recovered most of   it but still something was missing so I wanted to run it again. I think I've recovered everything but

Yeah, so that's why it's now 11 o'clock. I'm quickly gonna go, I don't know if I'll make it to what I   was wanting to go today so maybe I'll have to change my plan and stay somewhere else but that   kind of depends on how the day is going and how quickly or how slowly I'm going so without further   ado I'll quickly show you on the map where I am and um.. yeah where I'm planning to go or where I might end up   And but um.. we'll see and then I'm quickly gonna go. Um so anyway by now so I know what the issue was   and I know how to recover all my files so it was also a learning curve and this is the type of   stuff it well I have so many difficulties with  filming, with equipment that breaks with files   that I lose with audio that isn't working but I  always try to salvage it so that you don't notice   anything of it and usually I manage you know to use other footage that I shot in that day or use   audio from another camera or I usually manage to fix it without you noticing anything but this   time.. ah, it was a nightmare and I thought oh no, I lost everything, everything but um.. got everything back   So that's good and now I know that.. what to do when.. if it happens again but I also know now why it   happened so anyway.. too much talking. Uh, let's get the map out. Okay, so in the last video I went from

Paquera. I went down this way, I cut across from the jungle, rode along the coast on the beach I crossed   a lot of rivers, la di da.. and then I ended up here in Nosara, which where I'm now. And well, my plan was to   cut across the jungle here and then ride towards the famous Volcano Arenal which is over here   But I don't know if I'll still make it because I'm leaving so late now if I don't go.. can go all the   way there. I don't have another option than to ride to Liberia and that all has to do with my   border crossing with Nicaragua which is a whole different story but anyway let's hope that I'll   make it to a Volcano Arenal See Alaska has a little friend 450X CRF. Everybody rides Hondas here I took my mirrors off last night. I almost never do that but I had to

park on the street so that's a bit like eh.. let me just take them off just in case Vámonos! Let's go So to.. uh Volcano Arenal where I'm planning to go is at 240 kilometers   Which doesn't sound like a lot but..   .. A big part of the.. of my planned route. When I want to cut across, I think that's going to be uh I think that road is going to take me quite a while, so let's see. It's now uh.. 11:20 So I'll see uh..

.. How we get on today This guy wants to do a little contest with me What's he riding? Oh, it's Honda as well Careful dude! Oh, the roads are so dusty around here. The last ride as well I did besides desperately trying to retrieve my last Go Pro footage, I also cleaned my air filter   yesterday. Well, I'll clean it.. it's a paper air filter so..   There's only so much cleaning you can do about it but at least I cleaned the air box and everything Still trying to race me.. Bad boy Yeah, yeah, yeah I can't really do that. I don't have the exhaust for that Bye Uh, this is some Costa Rican back road. Oh, oh I missed it Let's go here Up there This is also the right time of the year to ride here. Still in the dry season

You know where I'm actually riding..  is right on these uh.. kind of hilltops   You can't really see it because of the trees but I am kind of riding on the what do you call it? Crest Of uh.. .. Of these hills or mountains or whatever I call them. See   I can still see the.. the Pacific just behind that's a little ridge

It's probably fair to say that Costa  Rica is one of the most developed if not   the most developed country of Central America. A lot of American dollars floating around here   But it's just awesome that besides really nice maintained asphalt roads there is still plenty of   This type of stuff around for uh.. off-road riding The locals might be disagreeing maybe they would like to see this to be asphalt too but actually   It's pretty cool Practice my hill climbs Here you get a bit of an idea of the area that I'm riding through   Just crossing straight through the mountains here Oh Where do I go? I'm wrong. Suddenly, I look down and I'm riding in the middle of nowhere. So somewhere I took a wrong turn but strange because I didn't..  well, I didn't really see another turn.. I think Yeah back on track. Can't believe I missed  this turn but anyway, I was too enthusiastic Oh I'm struggling, I'm really struggling. I  just had a couple of uh.. nasty hill climbs

And then I dropped Alaska. It was just really silly and uh.. but like right on the middle of a hill climb   I didn't catch it on camera. And well, then I was too busy to get myself out of that situation   But uh.. it took a lot of energy, I have to admit and uh   I'm doing this on midday, it's like one o'clock, it's super hot and uh Yeah It just took a lot of energy so I'll see how it goes now Um..

See another hill climb No, this is fine I think it's about 15 kilometers to a paved  road and then I have to decide what I'm gonna do   If I'm gonna make a loop still all the way to uh.. Arenal   To the volcano but that's still then 200  kilometers or whether I go to Liberia So yeah I mean and you can see, I'm hardly making  any progress because I started with what   240 kilometers so I did 25 kilometers and it's one o'clock in the afternoon. That's ridiculous, so yeah Let's see how I feel when I reach the paved road Now that I'm riding again, I'm cooling down a little bit. I'm trying to drink lots of water   But I'm a little bit overheated at the moment I didn't even take a picture of Alaska on her side Some people do entire photo shoots with their fallen bikes but I usually forget it because   I'm too focused on getting the motorbike back up. Oh wow, oh the view is incredible. Maybe I can.. .. See it from here See these hill climbs are no problem because it's just a normal dirt but   those other ones were so super  rocky and full of loose stuff Oh, see I'm on top of the hill though. There's some telecommunication

Look at that view. Yoh Incredible right? Some people just live here, right on the top.. unbelievable. Aye So you can see from my face how red I  am. How hard I've been working. Oh.. madness Ah and it's always with moments like that and I got stuck there on that hill by myself   Should have taken the camera out but I don't know sometimes I'm just struggling on my own   And I was considering.. shall I go back? You know, I'm sorry.. I'm not feeling good it's too hot

And I don't know what.. what is coming. Maybe it's getting worse, I don't know. Shall I go back? And it's back another 20 kilometers and then all the way around It's like then you have to make that decision like am I gonna push on   Even though this hill is beating me or  do I go back? Oh the tower is already here   Didn't see that coming. Ah that's how these people get here so.. so easily. I knew it, there had to be   another way. Oh okay, I gotta say.. it was all worth it. My intense struggle, my red overheated face I think.. it was all worth it. Look at this view. I can see the ocean from here   Still and I'm quite far away. How amazing is that?

Oh what a ride Yoh What a ride today, what a ride. I don't know what else to say So I'm still looking a little bit overheated,  I think but anyway I'm now at the cross point   Where I have to decide where I'm gonna go  and well, actually I've already decided um..   It's still 193 kilometers to Arenal, that means that I did just over 40 kilometers in three hours So there's no way I'm gonna make that today so I'm gonna go to Liberia which is on the sign there   Yeah, I don't have another choice. I really want to do a loop via Arenal but if I can't make   it today then it's just not possible and that all has to do with my border crossing into Nicaragua   My next country. To get into Nicaragua and do the border crossing properly I had to already   fill in some stuff online like a week ago. I had to register and I had to tell them when I was

going to enter Nicaragua, where I was going to enter Nicaragua and I had to book a PCR test in Liberia   So I had to do all that in advance uh.. which makes it yeah, normally I don't plan this type of stuff   So I'm always free to change my plans like now, I would just change my plans and nothing you know   Wouldn't even have to change much but now I have this set date when I have to cross into Nicaragua   Sorry, it's super loud here. Um.. so yeah that  means that, I just don't have time to   do the loop to see that Volcano Arenal because then yeah.. I don't know my registration   for the border crossing messes up and  maybe it's not a problem but you know   these border crossings uh.. in Central America, they're quite tricky and they're not so easy   They're not easy if you have all the right papers so if I then have something which is slightly off   I think they're gonna make my life very difficult so it's better to kind of do everything exactly   how it's supposed to be then you have the least problems. Um.. so yeah shame, shame I would have

loved to see that volcano but it is  what it is. The journey must go on Let's get this show on the road On to Liberia we go Already almost crossing the border to Nicaragua I am in Liberia Hostel Pura Vida Think they have.. room Hello! This, I like! A woman on a motorcycle! Reservation? - I don't have.. do you have space? So I made it to a hostel. Um.. I'm glad I made it here, but yeah the technical problems are   kind of snowballing that's usually how  it goes, one thing goes wrong and then   Everything.. everything else goes wrong so  besides my SD card problems which I solved   But I also broke one of my almost brand new Go Pro Hero 10s. It's not working properly anymore it's

Well, I can't use it anymore. It's pretty much  broken. I'm not sure what happened there and on   top of that today, I also broke my laptop. So yeah.. that's kind of the score of my visiting Costa Rica   Which it.. it's part of it. I mean it's  not the first time I'm breaking anything   Usually I don't really talk about this, I just  solve all my problems like all the technical   problems and try to solve them behind the  scenes so I don't have to bother you with   that but yeah sometimes it does affect my  travels. Now I have to source a new camera Um.. I have to yeah get my laptop fixed or get  another one. But I'm going to try to do that

in Nicaragua. I have to cross the border.  Um.. so yeah I'm going to do the Covid test   And then tomorrow if yeah, when I get the the result then I have to cross the border as I   tried to explain before. So that means I'm gonna enter Nicaragua.. hopefully with a broken laptop and   Yeah let's see, I can't travel very far without my laptop because I need it to transfer my footage   to my external hard drives and do my editing and all of that. So I'll.. I'll see, I can.. I can   do one more ride definitely, film everything and then I'll probably have to ride quite quickly to   Managua to the capital to get my laptop sorted because without it yeah I.. I can't do what I do   I can't do editing, I can't do nothing, I can't  transfer anyway.. that's why I don't bother you with   this type of stuff because you really don't want to hear this but uh yeah I'll just have to fix   all of this. It's part of uh.. part of doing this and yeah all this technology it's great but it's also

relatively fragile and yeah motorcycle adventure travel is sometimes a little bit rough and then   you break stuff but anyway I'll fix it. Um.. that was it for today, I really hope you like this video if   you did please give me a big thumbs up. Subscribe down below and then I'll see you in the next video
