there is no income tax there is no service tax there is no GST it's it's virtually Heaven what more do you want so if you go to brunai and the can give you a through fair from India here and uh you can get three nights here and three nights uh you know on the way back and next year I want all the hands raised the world is divided into two those who have been to brunai and those who haven't so I I would like you to be why brunai why should you go to brunai it is the best value for money for around 22,000 rupees you can get a return ticket nowadays you don't get a return ticket to Delhi for that price during the peak season so it's cheaper to go to brunai then in the peak season when Delhi fairs or Mumbai fairs are high during onum Diwali or Christmas or New Year go to brunai the second biggest advantage of going to brunai is that it's very peaceful I'm not saying this because I'm representing Royal brunai Airlines but after having visited 140 countries when I first went to brunai I was amazed by the calmness by the tranquility and there is no tension you see here life is full of tension even on the road sometimes you're worried you may hit someone but there it's all relaxed you know you're fully relaxed and then there are hotels which are uh the Empire hotel which is uh one of the best Palace hotels in the world and then then we have Budget Hotels you know which are very reasonable very economical uh and then I think he's already talked about uh you know the water sports the you know Adventure tourism the world's oldest uh you know rainforest and the wildlife but also the beaches also the people the people are so friendly they are so hospitable and you have Indian food you get Indian food all over and uh you see I I was just attending another seminar it is the best investment opportunity in the world today Indians are one of the biggest investors in UK in Dubai and in many other countries but I think Dubai uh brunai has been the best kept secret there is no income tax there is no service tax there is no GST it's it's virtually Heaven what more do you want so if you go to brunai and the investment board is there to help so it's it's really wonderful and uh you know we are all worried about uh the fuel hike whenever there's a fuel hike you know there are protests and there's agitation here the petrol is cheaper than water or more or less the same price so the cost of living is very cheap so for tourists it's a very good opportunity and then you know for a family for a honeymooning couple it's a beautiful destination I mean it's really Paradise now if you have children there's a beautiful Park which is as good as the Disneyland it is known as J Jong uh National Park a very reasonably priced earlier it used to be free but now theyve just put a nominal so if you go there every day with the children your one week can go and you can combine two countries uh I think uh the COO and the uh tourism board and the high commission we are trying to get EV visa and visa on arrival for Indians uh but we also have a 72-hour transit Visa so what uh some of the groups are doing you can fly into uh uh uh brunai and from brunai go to kotakinabalu which is half an hour flight we can give you a through fair from India here and uh you can get three nights here and three nights uh you know on the way back and in kotak kab Balu the shopping is cheap in brunai also there's a market where uh the shopping is much cheaper than Singapore I mean whenever I go to brunai I find uh the things 15 to 20% cheaper uh many things not everything but most of the things because the dollar is more or less the same but uh the uh profit the people are making is less and uh you get good value for money the food is really wonderful for both vegetarians non vegetarians and uh what is another Advantage is that uh for businessmen that you know when you are in uh brunai you can cover uh you know all the Asian countries within 2 hours you can fly to Manila in Philippines you can fly to KL 2 2 and a half hours you can fly to China you can fly to Hong Kong you can fly to uh you know kampur you can fly to Singapore Jakarta so all this area of the aan countries uh you know uh about 5050 million people Market is there so so if a businessman if he wants to set up an office in Singapore the real estate is so expensive that it is prohibitive but if you set up the office in brunai you can not only cover Singapore Malaysia Jakarta uh Thailand the whole region so I mean I'm seriously thinking Excellency that I want to set up a you know a travel company in brunai uh jointly with my friend Peter but you know when I heard about this I'm excited and I think every businessman in Chennai all of Tamil Nadu all of South India will be interested and the reason why we said Chennai because Chennai is the gateway to whole of Tamil Nadu and South India whether it's Bangalore whether it is trich with is katur and we have 14 ,000 uh people mostly Tamil who are uh working in brunai and we have lot of Indian doctors and businessmen who are there so there's a huge opportunity I don't want to say much because I'm a Salesman and I want to keep talking and name is nazmi I represent uh brunai tourism so today I'm going to give a quick um introduction regarding brunai tourism uh we have a lot to offer but with a short time I'll try my best to share what we have okay so just some some quick facts about brunai brunai is actually a small country situated on the island of Borneo it's between Sabah sarak Malaysia as well as uh kalimantan Indonesia as you can see from the map hopefully next slide please oh thank you thank you forward and that's the okay thank you yeah as you can see from the map right here uh sorry let me yeah so our official language is Malay but English is widely spoken in our in our country our official religion is Islam but we live harmoniously with other religion as well um the currency that we use is brunai dollars uh it's equivalent with Singapore dollars our climate is a tropical rainforest with average temperature between 24° C up to 32° C so just for your information based on our analytics and data um for the past few years on tourist arrivals from India India has been has always been the top 10 um tourist arrivals by air uh so this is something that we want to keep and maintain so fortunately with this flight is something that we look forward to to increase the numbers um as of September this year we've managed to receive uh more than 4 4,000 um tourist arrivals from India so um we are expecting by the end of the year it'll still continue as part of the top 10 tourist arrival so what's unique about brunai compared to other countries so we offer a tranquil adventure and natural Treasures to all travelers that comes to brunai Brun is a perfect destination for those who is looking for an escape from The Busy City Life and find relaxation for both body and mind it's also a visual exploration because we have we are known for its beautiful rainforest and biodiversity one of the popular destinations in brunai is the urong national park so we would like to believe it to be Century of wilderness in Rai ULU tumur rainforest itself is believed to be more than 130 million years old so it's one of the oldest uh tropical rainforests on Earth one of the activities that you can do at the ULU tumur National Park is going up to the kipy walk um so this canopy walk is actually suspended over 43 M um high above the large rainforest so basically it's a thrilling experience for travelers that um is interested in to looking at our rainforest cuz it shows a panoramic view of the pristine Wilderness another interesting thing on going to this uur National Park is the journey to go to this park so basically you will need to take a Long Boat Ride uh along the rivers jugle track so it adds a sense of exploration experience it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to to reach to the destination so ULU Tong National Park is located in the the tumur district other activities that you can do at tumor district is um waterfall Excursion water rafting uh River Tubing and many more also you can find it tumur District is the siming Eco village where you can go for glamping as well as FY rforce Lodge where there you can you can do some activities like rock climbing uh abing fing Fox and so on another thing that um is popular in brunai is visiting the wasai wasai is referred to as the natural waterfall and a small Cascade often hidden in the Lush um untouched Forest so we have a lot of of this in Rai for example in the black District the around the Taja area even there we have over 40 wases Al together that you can explore another popular activity that you can do in brunai is the mangra river cruise so this is popular because it's an activity to see wildlife um so it has a peaceful and cic boat ride for tourists to observe our diverse flora and fauna inhabiting the mangr ecosystem why mangr you say so brunai has uh pristine mangr um ecosystem so basically this is something for people who are interested in uh biodiversity and so on alongside that you can actually find uh Wildlife something interesting that usually most most TR tourist um is interested to see is the Probus monkey um this is endemic to Borneo meaning um it can only be find found in the Borneo Island which is where brunai is located other than that we also have saltwater crocodile so during the um mangr River Cruise if you're fortunate enough you can spot this um saltwater crocodile is also a significant part of of brunai wildlife Sunset is also um breathtaking if you want to if you're the type that is interested in looking at Sunset because since we are a coastal country so we have a lot of beaches and it is unobstructed horizon views that makes it really um breathtaking to watch you can also you can also try out the sunset River Cruise um at a cap capital city so basically you'll be cruising um through the brunian river um and you can can see the sunset as the the breathtaking sunset from the capital city uh another tip if you are interested in fireflies tour we are there's also uh it's also available you can also do the the Sunset Cruise and then do the Firefly tour so another popular destination that we uh promote is the um Logan laak it is a swamp uh freshwater swamp which transformed into a stunning mirror like Lake uh during the rainy season why people like to go here is for bird watching and also stargazing here's how it looks like if you go to Logan lak for uh stargazing yeah so it's a good spot for stargazing we also have a lot of dive sites for people who are interested in diving we have over 50 dive sites alog together um among which are 20 are Renown with historical shipwrecks as mentioned just now we also have activities for bird watching uh since we are 75% um covered in pristine Forest so definitely it's an ideal setting for bird watches golfing we have golfing as well we have five golf courses in brunai one of the popular one is the brunai the Empire brunai Country Club golf course um which is designed by the Renown golfer and course architect Jack Nicholas as you can see we have a lot of offerings there's actually more uh just to quickly go through we have ATV rides flying fox diving snorkeling and so on hiking yeah there's a lot so other than adventure and nature activities we also have a rich cultural heritage so we're a country of Timeless cultural heritage um BR has a fascinating history of Rich Heritage um so which has been meticulously preserved through generations so we are a nation that is Guided by a pH philosophy that um call Malay Islamic monarchy so we are really cultured based on this among of places that um is part of our heritage is the kampong a water Village also a popular destination for tourists referred to as the Venice of the east by Antonio pigafetta an Italian scholar and explorer who accompanied ferin and mellan during the voyage um in the early 16th Cent Century today kampong a or water Village um is one of the unique attraction that you can experience uh as it is the largest settlement on water in the world housing over 12,000 residents some of our Islamic um tourism activities is the W ha Islam Sultan Alia is a Majestics it is a Majestics Museum showcasing his Majesty's personal belongings um Personal Collection sorry Personal Collection of Islamic Treasures from around the world we have beautiful MOS um one of which is popular is the Omar Ali saudin mosque named after the 28th ruler um the previous Sultan Renown as one of the most beautiful Islamic MOS in Asia we also have the longest um overwater Bridge U named the sultan Omar Ali saudin bridge that stretches over 26.3 kilm above water making it one of the longest bridge in Southeast Asia now regarding food our traditional food so ambuyat is one of the popular traditional food that most tourists comes to brunai to try it is interesting in terms of the texture as you can see uh so ambuyat is a traditional brand dis dish made from uh starch of the sago palm it has a distinct sticky and gooey texture okay it has a distinct texture that you can try and see and swallow directly when you try sorry we also have nasato don't worry I just have two more slides I'll FAS make it quick so we have nasik this is unique because of the name and also how and the cost it's a budget friendly um dish that we offer in brunai we have a lot of also other delicacy which we call qu mu this is more sweet swe sweet type of dish dishes one of which that is popular called the wet a local sticky rice dish that is brown and sweet from uh caramel listic of coconut and sugar okay so as mentioned just now there's a lot of
