Bikepacking from the Netherlands to Italy - 1100Km Solo
this is day one of bike packing from the Netherlands to Italy, let's go nice headwind Belgium!!! This is day three of bike packing from Netherlands to Italy let's go that bridge is the border to Luxembourg and I'm going over it luxemburg woohoo stunning road 45k done with 400 m elevation and in 40 km will already be in France, so that goes pretty fast, so see you in France then Vive la France, I made it to France and I didn't even notice, haha everything is going pretty steady today, did uh, 110 km now and have a camping in 20 km currently in France near Metz oh yeah this really, you totally sink into this stuff, I will just go past 500 km done 650 to go this is day four of cycling from the Netherlands to Italy let's go man the landscape basically hasn't changed in uh 50 km just France I'm actually listening to uh Jurassic Park music which is pretty funny, continuously have to look if there's not a dinosaur next to me or behind me I've sat now for half an hour in this random town, and I didn't see a single person it's quite strange there was a nice uh Bell show but apart from that there's nothing, let's continue leaving the canal already almost 100K again still waiting to see a TGV Train grand vitesse I think it is, yeah what was that that? must be some uh heat expansion of the Bridge again finally some civilization again descending towards the valley highest point before the valley between Frankfurt and Basel Vennbahnweg Vibes over halfway 650 km done 450 to go this is day five bike packing from the Netherlands to Italy currently heading for strassbourg, it's only around 20 km afterwards I will head Southeast towards the Bodensee left Offenburg but I have a little problem is that my power bank is dead and also my phone so let's see I find if I can find a solution tail wind finally and look at the rain just barely goes by at least I hope so Tailwind towards the Bodensee Schramberg, Schramberg, Schramberg I have to climb now 400 m doing a around 400 m climb to steep to cycle climb is done it's starting to rain a bit I'm absolutely drenched, drenched found a nice Airbnb, 800 km done and 300 to go this is day six of bike packing from Netherlands to Italy, let's go! today heading to the Bodensee I had a nice nice day of rest in uh City I was able to plan out all the remaining uh campings and uh routes so it's pretty chill from now on today only uh 135 perfect weather Blue sky... This bike on Gravel rides amazing with these tires 2.15 inch, pohhhh! Combined with a slight slope downwards... really nice end of the world reached I think i see the Bodensee yeah oh 12% !!! let's go 60 km/h today's going really well, really nice views, covering good ground almost there already just past midday just uh thumbs up arrived in Friedrichshaven Zeppelin?! that I have never seen before arriving in Lindau very nice very nice would be even nicer if if a train passed by Lindau bahnhof, hauptbahnhof going to Camp right there right there on the border of Austria and Germany 900 km done only 200 to go This is day 7, of bike packing from the Netherlands to Italy and here is: Republik Österreich the Rhine, and Switzerland, let's go! mystery railway Shadow, great I've already done like 80 km I've only have to do around 60 but with a lot of elevation so probably still not halfway um I ran out of water now no water it's a beautiful gravel track here absolutely stunning, but very steep absolutely a super path, so nice the climb has started Badass girls! more than 1,000 km done less than 100 to go this is day eight of bike packing from the Netherlands to Italy, let's go hairpins, the first set of hairpins is over I am doing it yes! was that the Last switchback or not?
