- The best owner suite we've ever seen on a yacht of this size. (upbeat music) (upbeat music continues) We are really excited to bring you this one. We're onboard of Aquila 50, which was nominated for Multi Hall of the Year Award. This is like the coolest, absolutely coolest owner suite we've seen on a yacht of this size.
I mean, there's a lot more with the cool features, but just definitely stay for the owner suite. This is gonna blow you away. All right, let's do it. - [Rico] Okay. - So start as usual. AFT! - [Rico] Start as usual.
We do have our tender platform here, our entertaining platform, which is in this case a hydraulic platform. It lowers down to just a little bit over the height of the sponson top. Doesn't go all the way in the water.
It actually just goes to the main deck and then to the sponson deck. And we have the crane overhead, which that will lift your tender on top and launch the tender as well. - Just wanna point out that there's definitely a huge upside to using this light color faux teak. - [Rico] Yes. - Because it, I'm standing on it. It is really hot.
- [Rico] You're not burning your feet, right. - I'm not burning my feet. I can stand on it. - [Rico] Yeah. - So it's definitely something to consider.
- [Rico] So then we have an option for a swim ladder here on the port side. The standard swim ladder is actually on the starboard side. - You want me to go there? What do you want me to go? Ta-da. - [Rico] Okay, so we have really, really, I mean, Aquila is known for it. They have a proper solid swim ladder and it tucks nicely away. Slides out on this track system, which is mounted there, and it's out of the way.
It's not ugly in the back of your boat. - Yeah, as we walk through, you guys will see, because they're coming from lots of experience in the charter market, lots of people giving their feedback. Also, of course, owners. They really put a lot of effort every year when they upgrade and make their models better and add features in usability of the boat. Swim ladder is a huge thing. If you're cruising, you know how important it is to have a good swim ladder.
- [Rico] So yeah. On this model, we, we obviously got the tour before we do this video. Lots of innovative new features, which were adapted from a previous Aquila models, but now changed and, well, you'll see.
- All right, come on up. So this is neat because you've got these big doors here that you can close up. - [Rico] Yep, you just pull 'em up and then close them. - [Victoria] Yeah, exactly. - [Rico] Then you have here extension. - And this is our storage, right? - [Rico] There we go.
- [Victoria] Great for fenders and lines. - [Rico] Exactly. So we have our shore power cable reels right here. This is the remote control for the davit crane, freshwater deck wash. - Big leads here. Very yachty.
They've put in the shaving protection here. So, our fairleads are built in. It's very nice. I think the exterior paneling that they did as well, just kind of accenting that gray, also gives it a really nice yachty feel. - [Rico] Yeah, but now the exciting part, oh no, we do this last.
- What? - [Rico] Engine rooms. (both laughing) - Let's check out the cockpit. We're gonna look at the cockpit and then we're gonna go up to our flybridge. - [Rico] Yes. - Gonna do it a little different.
Why? As you guys know, Aquila is famous for that really comfortable walkway forward, but it was reinvented on this model. - [Rico] Yes. - So stay tuned for that. All right, so here we have a pretty large sitting area. You can easily have dinner with eight people here, actually 10.
- [Rico] 10 people because you can put chairs all around. Actually saw the chairs stored all the way forward in one of the storage compartments. - Oh, you did? Okay. - [Rico] Yes. - Awesome.
So immediately, the way it's laid out that you have that outdoor indoor feel. So immediately I'm gonna point out, we have three bar stools here, which actually you can turn this, right? There's a pin and you can kind of tuck it away. - [Rico] And they built it this way, so you can open this massive storage hatch here. - And we have our bar here. And that's where we're gonna stop because we'll show you the rest from the interior, this massive manual window. You guys know how much of a fan I am of these windows.
- [Rico] But what I can show you is the storage compartment. - Oh sure. - This pivots over and now we have the space to open this hatch, which is a huge hatch.
It has shocks, so it stays open by itself. So there's the freshwater tank, or at least one of the freshwater tanks, two fresh water pumps, one for each hull, and of course you can use them vice versa as well, but also easy access. You ever have to change it if you ever need to repair it or service it. Clean the filter, for example, for the fresh water, easy access can get right to it.
- [Victoria] Can you close it by yourself? - Yes. - Oh, look at that. Nice and strong. There's another thing here, which I like. When Alain showed to us, he was like, It's just a small little compartment. I mean, it's like a timeout spot.
- [Rico] Yeah, exactly. - You can store somebody in there. (Rico laughing) - [Rico] Or smuggle, - Smuggle someone in there. Yes. Could be a good dog house, you know? - [Rico] Yeah, right. Put a doggy door in there. - Doggy door, it's perfect.
- [Rico] Yeah. Okay. - Someone's gonna do that, you know that? - - [Rico] Yeah, right, now they will. - Let's go up and show you the flybridge. (upbeat music) This was reimagined and redesigned, huh? - [Rico] Wow. - Boom.
- [Rico] That is a big flybridge. - Okay, you can easily, I mean, easily hang out here with like 15 people. - [Rico] Or 20. - Okay, well, don't push it. I don't know.
Do you guys, I don't even have 20 people to hang out with. I think 15 is a good number. - [Rico] Yeah. So we start in the back like we always do.
- Yeah, all the way aft here. We've got one of these fancy canyon grills that we showed you on the brand new Coupe models. If you haven't seen that video, I'm gonna pop it in description underneath the video. These are brand, brand, brand new boats and you are among the first to see it, so go check out the video. It comes with a light.
- [Rico] Yep. - So you can see what you're grilling. Then here, we have a trash can and a little bit of storage here. Then as we come around, there's a nice grab rail here. We have an ice-maker, sink. Very large! - [Rico] Wow. Big sink.
- Wow, for the flybridge, that's huge. - [Rico] I think if this would be my boat- - Yeah. - [Rico] I would add a cooktop here too.
- Yeah, the full, like full kitchen, yeah. - [Rico] I would cook outside here all the time. - But if you think about it, you can just swap one of these for the griddle, right? - [Rico] Yes. - That was the celebration. Somebody just bought one of these, as you guys saw. So here we have more storage here.
Look what they do here at Aquila booth. When they sell a boat at the Miami Boat Show, they put one of these flags up there. Look how many flags they already have. - [Rico] A lot.
- And this is day three of the boat show. There is still two more days. - [Rico] Oh, that's amazing. Yeah. - They're about to run out of flags. (laughing) I think there's a reason for that.
You'll see why as we keep going. So here's our refrigerator. That's it here. So now, beep-beep-beep-beep, massive layout cushion here. Absolutely fantastic. Storage right there underneath those cushions.
It's huge. There is also an awning, a retractable awning back here that comes out, which is a fantastic option. You would use it all the time. - [Rico] Oh yeah. - So I think that's a must check off on the list.
Check off the list? Check off the list? Then we also have our alfresco dining here as well. Easily can have dinner with eight. Cup holders, convertible table with grab rail here to walk around. - [Rico] Actually it look almost like bottle holders, wine bottle holders. - No, a little small I think for wine.
- [Rico] Ah, no, I think you can fit a wine bottle in there. - All right, there comes the debate. More cup holders. More storage. Looking at this, I would like retrofit a dishwasher up here. - [Rico] Dishwasher? - Yeah, a little one.
- [Rico] Really? - Yeah, you never have to carry anything down. - [Rico] Well maybe. - Get some plates here and done. - [Rico] There's plenty of countertop space here to fit a dishwasher, so I don't think it would be a problem. - That's what I'm saying.
Or you can do one of these, the winds have the top one. - [Rico] Ah, not a bad idea. - Cut into it, and they just have the top one.
- [Rico] Not a bad idea actually. - Yes. So then we have another layout cushion here all the way forward.
Storage underneath. All of that is storage. Wow. - [Rico] NeuBoat Dock, equipped with Avikus NeuBoat Dock.
- [Victoria] Is it the self-docking thing? - [Rico] The automatic docking. Self docking. - Another layout pad here with storage. All of this is storage.
It is absolutely nuts. Okay, let's go through the helm. - [Rico] We have two helm chairs with bolster functions, like so, then you have the footrests.
We can adjust obviously height-wise, you can move them to the side if they're in the way. The seats are adjustable in height in forward. I mean you can slide 'em forward and back. Here's our main hub on this model. - Yes. - [Rico] On this model we don't have the lower helm, we only have the flybridge helm.
- We have an option for a lower helm. - [Rico] There's an option. Yeah. But this one, this is the main helm. This is where you would drive the boat at all times. We have the Aquila helm wheel here, ignition panel for the Volvo D6 main engines, shift and throttle control.
We got two Raymarine chart plotters, got the Volvo Penta screen right here. Autopilot, Raymarine multifunction display. We have a VHF radio here. Cup holders, compass, bow thruster control, our basic C-zone switch panel up here for navigation lights, run switch, fuel transfer, et cetera.
Then we have our searchlight right here, fusion stereo control, and then of course two fire suppression system controls indicators right here for the starboard and the port engine room. Gotta hatch overhead, actually two hatches overhead. Big dropdown TV. - Yes, there's also an option, which is pretty cool, so you can hang out and watch TV or a movie night. - [Rico] Then outlets, regular, you know, high voltage outlets, of course cover ups..
- Everywhere. There's one here as well. Everywhere they could put it. So now as you see, it's very nice to have this perfectly centered helm here. And what happened to our walkway forward, which Aquilas are known for, is what you usually, that's immediately, you know it's Aquila, you see one. - [Rico] From the 44, right, the center walkway. - Exactly.
So what they did here, I think it's brilliant, as Nick would say, brilliant, brilliant. You have a walkway now on the side. They built it in here. Initially when we came up, I didn't even notice. I was like, did they get rid of the walkway? I was kind of sad. But then, no, it was right here. And it's just two steps down and you are on the bow.
- [Rico] Super, super comfortable and safe with the proper handrail. - And I'm like, it doesn't break the lines at all from the other side. You don't even see it. - [Rico] Correct. - It looks really nice and- - [Rico] Well, lemme go forward and actually show it.
Yeah, it really does not impede with the design of the boat. - Yes, I think they did a great job on how they did this, and then lots of layout cushions forward. These are convertible so you can adjust them, make them higher, taller, all manual. All of these look, I love that, 'cause I think like it's just easy.
It's not gonna break. Very, very simple. - [Rico] Yeah, this makes total sense because it becomes a bench.
- Yeah, exactly. This is hull number one, you guys. So there's gonna be an option for a little table here. So if you're doing sun-downers, even wanna do dinner maybe up here when it's just like no wind at all, it's probably the best spot, you can absolutely do that. You're gonna have a little table option here. - [Rico] And just look over to the 54.
Look how high up we are. - Yeah. Yeah. This is very tall. - [Rico] Isn't it crazy. - And you'll see why they did this and what it did in the interior, and that is just like, boom. - [Rico] Yeah.
So quickly wanna just bend over here? - [Victoria] Excuse me. - [Rico] Do you see the bulbous spot right down there? - [Victoria] And how high up we are. - [Rico] And how high up we are. Exactly. I mean just look, there's a Tender, there's the 46. We are so much taller. It's unbelievable.
- And there's a reverse seating here that they added as well, which makes it for a very comfortable, I mean, under way, it's a kind of weird sitting this way, but I think like if you had anchor, you'd use it all the time. - [Rico] Yeah. Yeah. - But you also can sit the other way. You can sit this way. - [Rico] Actually safely, you can really bow ride Like this- - And you can just lean- - [Rico] Without having any danger of falling into the water and being run over by their own boat. Exactly.
- Very, very cool. Love that. - [Rico] Okay, so what else do we have here? - Oh, lots of things. - [Rico] Let me open this quick here. On this specific layout, we have a huge storage here. There are the chairs for the cockpit, and then we have lots of fenders in there, but there's a lot of space in here, and all the way to the bulkhead.
- [Victoria] All right, and then I'll take the camera and you can just open stuff up. - [Rico] Yeah, open this one up here. Lots more storage. Wow. Big storage. - [Victoria] Oh yeah.
Look, it goes all the way in there. - [Rico] Yep. - [Victoria] Fantastic. - So now here we have our anchor equipment. - [Victoria] You probably have to open both. - [Rico] Windlass, I will, and our anchor locker. - [Victoria] Oh yeah, that's very easy.
- [Rico] As well as the bridle setup and so on. Everything would be there. Deck wash, freshwater wash down. - [Victoria] What I also like about this, the way they have the anchor is you actually have quite easy with a boat hook. If you ever need to turn the anchor, you have an access here, you have an access here. So it's really not that far.
- [Rico] Oh actually yeah, it's right here. - [Victoria] It's really not bad. Yeah. - [Rico] Yeah, the bridle lines are right there as well. - [Victoria] On some other cats, it's a real pain in the butt if the anchors- - [Rico] Oh you know what? I think there's a camera down here. - [Victoria] Oh yeah, it looks like a camera.
- [Rico] I see a camera there. - [Victoria] Yep. I think so. Think you right. - You know what? I think that's connected to the docking system.
- [Victoria] Oh. - Because it has that auto dock function. - [Victoria] Yep.
- So they have, you have the cameras all around. - Very cool. I've been trying to talk Rico into put in a camera on our bow for the anchor. I don't know what happened to that. - [Rico] We need to figure out where to put it.
- I think we forgot. But look, that looks, that's easy. - [Rico] Little puck.
- [Victoria] Yeah, I think we should do that. - [Rico] Yeah. - Alright, so then this is also storage, right? - [Rico] Lot of storage, yeah.
- Yep. - And then this here is actually a hatch into our, well I'm not gonna tell you, you're gonna have to see it from the interior. - [Rico] Let's see it on the inside. Let's go back on this side here back into the cockpit. And then into the interior.
- Okay, let's do it. (upbeat music) Let's show you the interior. Come on in. Before we start, just wanted to ask you, hit that Like button, subscribe, and write us a couple of comments. It makes a huge difference in helping us grow.
We really, really appreciate it. So there is a massive pop-up window, as we showed earlier. There is this bar and the way they accomplish the bar is, look, just goes like that. - [Rico] I see.
- And you close the window and it stays this way. But then if the window is open, you can put the bar down. Welcome to our galley. It's all the way aft, which is great.
'cause anything smells, everything is going out this way, and it's also completely connected to our exterior. So you've got your outdoor galley upstairs and you also your, kind of like almost an outdoor galley here. Pretty cool. So we have a microwave oven here, which could also be a dishwasher.
Just found out. Big drawer underneath. Then here we also have large sink as well. I like to have just that insert.
- [Rico] Yeah. Sink is great size. Then, as we come around, it's a bit more storage. Trash cans, dual trash cans, check. As we come around, more storage here.
Microwave, storage here. Wow, that's deep. Some more here. Dishes. Four burner induction cooktop. - [Rico] I haven't seen this because I didn't film that angle.
- Ah, that's right. We have a refrigerator and- - [Rico] Domestic size. - Yes. And a large freezing drawer. Wow. Look, there's another, - [Rico] Isn't it amazing - [Victoria] With an ice maker? - [Rico] Yep. - That's absolutely fantastic on a boat of this size, right.
We coming more forward. We've got large drawers. - [Rico] Our switch panel. We have the Seazone yacht management system here. Main breakers here, switch-overs between shore inverter and ship power.
There is an option for the lithium ion batteries. So we have the Kohler, in this case, generator control here. Raymarine VHF radio for the interior. All the stuff you need right here when you enter the boat. Oh wow.
- And more storage here. What's that? I feel like we should open it. - [Rico] We have our high voltage breakers right there. - If you don't open, you don't know.
NautiStyles. You are welcome. Ready to do some work? - [Rico] Yep. - Since I just did.
- [Rico] No. Why? - [Victoria] Yes. - What, I mean? - [Victoria] No, start there. (overlapping discussion) - I wanna start here.
- [Victoria] Look, he's fighting. - [Rico] Storage. Lots of storage. - [Victoria] And there's some electrical stuff going on there. - [Rico] Yeah, so probably the same where you stand.
And now we have a freaking huge... - [Victoria] Yeah, what is this? That's crazy. Got some batteries. - [Rico] All these tops in there. Yeah, we got like storage containers in there. Lithium ion batteries in here for the house and the service bank.
- [Victoria] Very big, you guys. Look at these bins here. Two of these massive bins. Crazy.
- Pretty incredible. So let's close this again. - [Victoria] So there's obviously another one here. - [Rico] Yes. - If we come a little bit more forward, we have a very, very large sitting area here. The dining area is incredible.
- [Rico] You would put some bar stools actually there, and then you can reach the height, the proper height- - Yeah, all the taller directed chairs, you could do that too. But yeah, I mean just the way it's set up, six, you can do eight. - [Rico] Yeah. - Very, very comfortable. There is storage underneath here as well. Then, looks like there's some storage there. I'm gonna go- - [Rico] All the way over there.
- Investigate. Large storage here as well. So where's the TV? Oh, TV's right there.
- [Rico] The TV's built in right there. And then we have openable window hatches, or portholes, actually- - [Victoria] Portholes. - [Rico] Portholes. Yeah.
On the bow part, which is really, really cool now because if you open these up and it's the winter day, it's not as humid and hot- - I would open 'em up now. - [Rico] Open 'em up right now. Air conditioner is running in here.
- Yeah, exactly. - [Rico] And you open up the back, actually get all, like you said, all the cooking smell, all the, you got natural ventilation going through. - Another thing about this table is it's actually high-low. There's like this little leaves here that become legs. - [Rico] Yep. - And just kind of go 90 degrees.
And you can lower this into a bed. This is a king size bed, no? - [Rico] Yes. - It's huge.
- [Rico] But it's bigger than king. - And also you can pivot this table. I think it's pivotable for whatever reason. I don't know why. But it looks like you can turn it.
- [Rico] It is. - Yeah, I don't know why. - [Rico] To get maybe easier in and out.
- In and out. You just turn it sideways. - [Rico] Yeah, possibly. - Interesting.
All right, so anyway, we did this. There's another settee on our starboard side. I love this little reading space, or if you have kids, they would love this space. I feel like it totally becomes their area.
- [Rico] So this would be actually your optional space for the lower helm station. - Ah, now I get it. - [Rico] Yeah.
- So the guys that just bought one, they added one here. - [Rico] Yeah, so you would sacrifice the settee here and that little area pad and it becomes your lower helm. - We were having this discussion as we went through the boat. Rico said like, I don't really feel like I need one.
I would just use the upper helm, put the soft enclosure there and have that as an option, have that as a main helm. But I kind of understand it because the guys just brought up a good point. Like if there are just two of them on the boat and only one person is really, you know, technical, and something happens and they have to fix something, have to go to the engine room. Like this is really close. Everything is right here.
If you're doing night passages, you have your galley, you all together, you're not going up and down. I kind of get it. Somebody's taking a nap here, you know, you're still driving. - [Rico] Yeah, or you just do a soft enclosure on the front part of the flybridge, and you can sleep up there with two people, you have your outdoor kitchen. - Put it in the comments, which team are you? Would you add a lower helm or would you just stick to the one helm? - [Rico] I know which team I'm on. - All right, let's go now to our port.
- [Rico] Yes. - And show you one of our smaller cabin. Well, first of all, so excited about this, a dedicated laundry room. - [Rico] Wow. - [Victoria] A real laundry room. - [Rico] Separate washer, separate dryer.
- This is a three-cabin, so three staterooms, three-head version. So I would say the most luxurious. And that's what I would wanna go for, obviously, 'cause you've got so much space. This also could be a cabin, of course, this could be bunk bed set up, would be great for kids, overflow. But if not, if you don't need it, if you're good with three cabins, you have a real laundry room.
Look at the nice countertop here. They also added a wine fridge right here. - [Rico] Well, now we're talking.
So I would volunteer to do the laundry and just get drunk at the same time. I love it. - That's a good point.
Whoever put it here, thought about it. They've done laundry before. Yeah. It takes time.
You know, folding stuff away. You've got storage here as well. Lots of storage. So this really becomes like your workshop. You can also make this a bit more durable. This could be a workshop. You can have your tools - [Rico] Some tools storage.
- Lots of space there for tools. Yeah, this could be a really, really cool- (overlapping discussion) - [Rico] Great layout. - Yeah, let's go forward, right? - [Rico] Yes. - So welcome to one of our smaller cabins. Immediately, you see this massive soundbar.
- [Rico] Soundbar, right? - What? There is a TV here. Very nice. It's a queen-sized bed. - [Rico] Yep.
- [Victoria] On a boat, boat queen. - [Rico] I think it's a queen. - Yeah, it looks like it. And then of course we have storage, we have drawers in our nightstands. - There are like little storage compartments right here. Every nook and cranny is used. - [Victoria] Yeah, and there too.
Look how deep that is. - [Rico] I see. - Yeah. That's very nice to have. And then behind the door we have our large hanging lockers storage down there.
- [Rico] Very comfortable. - Yeah. That's great - [Rico] Overhead here in the ceiling, we have our ceiling TV. - I mentioned the TV. - [Rico] You did. - Openable porthole.
Look at the size of this window. - [Rico] Yeah, it's incredible. - And the height, you guys.
So this is six-eight. It's taller than six-eight. - [Rico] Well go there.
- Yeah, this is, this is way over seven feet. So I think that's one thing they've definitely gained. Going so tall on the freeboard, which you will see in the owner suite.
But this just added to how big the windows are, and you know, you see, see the view from here, it's amazing. So going into our owner suite here. Let's try to go through a little bit quicker. Lots of people wanna see this boat.
I would say the really nice one-person shower. Openable porthole here. You've got your head. Of course, sink. A little bit of storage here. Mirror.
A bit more storage on top air. Air conditioning unit. I don't know why it's closed. Should be open, right? - [Rico] Agreed.
- All right, let's go now, starboard-side, VIP cabin. (upbeat music) Welcome to the VIP. Look how low this bed is. - [Rico] Oh wow. - Look at the ceiling height. This is absolutely amazing.
- [Rico] And again, a massive window. - Yes. - [Rico] We have the dropdown TV again, soundbar right there. The height of the bed is incredible. - Yeah, and all the sound systems are separate from each other. So you can have your own music, you know, in your own cabin, whatever you wanna do.
- [Rico] We have a not-hanging locker here. Just, look how deep this is. - [Victoria] Yeah, it's big. - [Rico] Crazy. Small storage underneath. - And then on this side we do have a little desk.
Obviously if you're working on the boat, it's great to have. Of course, they also build in a little makeup and jewelry storage here as well. Could be a good getting ready table.
There's some drawers. These are large. - [Rico] There's a lot of storage in this cabinet, actually. - [Victoria] Look at these drawers. - [Rico] Yeah. - Wow.
- [Rico] And that I assume is your hanging locker. - No, this is, yeah, this is my hanging locker. You're right. - [Rico] Yeah. - Awesome.
Somehow you would end up with this huge amount of shelving. - [Rico] No, no, no. I use a different cabin. - Oh, I see.
All right. Come on in. - [Rico] Wow. - Right? This is really nice. Sort of an open ceiling spaces on this boat is what I feel the most.
I feel like a lot of the times, the cats are like, you know, this way and it's all very open. Look at this shower. This is a proper two person, I would say two and a half person- - [Rico] Look at the window.
- Two and a goldendoodle for sure, a really, really nice sized shower. - Fantastic. - Yeah, incredible. - So of course, openable porthole there. We've got some storage here.
There is storage underneath. Trash can lives there. And let's go show you the jewel of this house. - [Rico] Crown jewel. - The crown jewel.
And of course we have this privacy door. We should probably show you guys, that is our privacy in this cabin. All right.
All the way forward. (knocking on door) Some guys just bought the boat, so I don't know if they moved in already. Welcome.
- [Rico] Wow. - To our owner suite. No, no, no, wait. - [Rico] This is what unreal. - Like this is crazy.
It's all one level. - [Rico] Are you serious? - Go all the way over there. All one level. I mean, for anybody that's thinking that they would love to not have too many steps in your cabin at night, you never have to think about this.
You never have to get up at night and think like, oh boy, like do I have a step to the bathroom, or you know, is it like, this is tremendous. So we have these three really nice windows. They opened up the bench there to keep the view, you know, so they didn't leave it closed there.
- [Rico] Yeah, you can see all the way out. - What I find most interesting is, first of all, they stepped this floor, right, 'cause they had to with the hold, but they kept it completely flat. So there's no step there. And even standing all the way up on top of it, I'm 5'7, I'm wearing a hat, so probably like 5'9, (knocking on ceiling) - [Rico] No problem. - Tons of space.
The bed is low. It's very, very comfortable. - [Rico] American King. - Yeah, it's huge. So of course we have drawers here on our master. No drawers here, but so, what you could do here, obviously, you have this settee option.
This is huge settee. - I mean a small kid can sleep on this settee for sure. Or you can turn it into a very nice home office. - [Rico] Oh yeah. - A proper desk.
You technically have a little desk here. Getting ready table - [Rico] And this feels like we are on a super-yacht right now. Look at the windows, the size. Obviously, you're experiencing the full beam of 26 feet.
I mean, look at this. - You wake up and you've got view everywhere you look. Like it's amazing. It's just that way is a window. This way is a window. The way they did the shower, which Rico is in the shower by the way.
Turn to yourself. (laughing) You volunteered, got into the shower. I was gonna tell you something. A walk-in closet. - [Rico] Come again. - This is going to be all mine.
Look at this, look at this. - [Rico] Yeah. That's incredible. - But technically it's not mine and his side here, you know, so his and hers, his and his. Tons and tons of space.
Got drawers here. - [Rico] So, if I'm not mistaken, when you go with the four or five cabin layout, this is part of the cabin. - Yeah, well if you guys are interested, check out Aquila's website for all the layouts. But I refuse to give up the space here. So I'm just gonna stay with this layout and just enjoy this space. Yes, you would lose some space.
Yes, I can stay in here. Plenty of room. - [Rico] Okay, so we keep going? - No.
(Rico laughing) - Okay, this shower, how cool is this shower? So it's a two-person shower. I think it's plenty big. Rain hat above.
You got an openable porthole. They left this light like frosted glass. So you leave the light in. I mean that window is insane. So then all of this is storage. Look at this, look at this.
Amazing. If you are shy of your partner, which sometimes I wonder why, maybe somebody can explain to me in the comments why, but you could put a frosted glass separation here. Kind of separate the bathroom. - [Rico] Yeah, I mean I would leave it all open. Like look at this...
- Insane. - [Rico] The, yeah, amazing. - Because you have a separate head. Your head is all the way here. That's the hatch that we saw from above. - [Rico] Oh, I see, I see. - So it's a super nice head.
Even has some, you know, extra little storage for your shampoos and stuff in here. Yeah, it's very nice. And you still have dual sink. All of this, dual vanity, all of this storage, upper storage as well. Amazing amount of space.
Alright, shall we show you the engine room? - [Rico] Yes. - Okay, let's do it. (upbeat music) - [Rico] Okay.
- Oh look, most helpful. (Rico laughing) - [Rico] I finally have an assistant. - [Victoria] Most helpful person ever. - Finally have an assistant. - [Victoria] Thanks Alain.
- You're welcome. (Rico laughing) - Okay, so engine room. - [Victoria] Get in there, get in there. Less talking, more filming. - [Rico] Holy moly, this is a lot more space than I expected, actually.
Look at this engine room space. So we have our fuel tanks all the way here on the outboard side and still plenty of space. Look at this. We have a Volvo D6 480 horsepower main engine in here. Plenty, plenty of space to get around the engine.
Nothing is interfering. Dripless shaft seals right here. Transmission right there. Exhaust here. We have the generator here. Access even on the back end if you need to get to it.
Remove the panel, obviously, access here on the front. Then over there we have the fire suppression system. Get some battery boxes here for the generator and the main engines. Got a water heater right there. Generator exhaust right there. Everything gets mixed and back out overboard right there.
The steering components right there for the hydraulic steering. Really, really easy access to get to all of the components. And this grill here is a nice little touch to stand on. Makes it very easy actually to get around.
I got one thing to mention, there is a primary fuel filter right there. So now that was the tour of the Aquila 50. - I hope you guys enjoyed it.
