Bangriposi A well known destination in India This pristine village in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha is an ideal address to spend a holiday. Let's see how to reach this beautiful village, where to stay and what to see. Distance of Bangriposi is 220 kilometers from Kolkata 210 kilometers from Durgapur 90 kilometers from Kharagpur There are four tolls after starting from South Kolkata The first one is the Vidyasagar brigde Toll tax is Rs 10 There is no FasTag facility in this toll booth The next ones are Dhulagarh toll Rs 105 Debra toll Rs 65 And Balibhasa toll Rs 70 All these three has FasTag facility After crossing Kolkaghat, traffic got reduced In some places, there are one or two vehicles far apart In others there are barely any vehicles in sight You will see the beautiful Lodhasuli forest on the way We reached our destination in almost five hours There are two resorts just beside Kolkata-Mumbai highway The first one is Similipal resort And then Khairi resort Seeing the calming ambience, spreaded apart rooms we chose the second one The restaurant is right at the entrance towards left side Food is very well afordable On the right side, we had our rooms on the first floor Next to it is the reception Deluxe rooms are on the left side Garden, bonfire area etc are also there AC rooms Rs 1500 Non-AC rooms Rs 1000 Parking space in towards the back side of the resort If you notify them in the morning, they will arrange bonfire in the evening Cost of bonfire only is Rs. 500 Bonfire with barbecue is Rs. 1200 Let's go to the famous Buribalam river of Bangriposi It is known as Burbalang to the locals There is a rural road just opposite of the resort In some places, it is concrete road In others, it is mud and clay You can spend one afternoon On the riverbank, collecting rocks and playing in the river water You can visit Brahmankund and Nedam dam from Bangriposi It will take around two hours to reach there The road condition is excellent Any car can reach there The road is very pleasant Sometimes it is on the hills Simetimes through forest Small villages Cascades On the Sunday, lots of locals visit there to picnic If you cross the pool and go upward There is another small waterfall The view from there is very nice Crowd is less up here You can spend some quality time beside the waterfall In a few kilometers from the resort You can see Maa Dwarsini temple of the hills After offering at the temple You can collect soveniers from the nearby stores There are a lot of monkeys So take care of your belongings Near to bangriposi, you can visit Kuliyana village Which is famous for Doka arts When going through Bangriposi road You will find lots of local markets Get fresh vegetables from the locals Kuliana market sits on every Sunday On other days, if you want to find Dokra arts You need to go inside the village As soon as you reach, a lot of people will come to show their hand crafted arts Collect as many as you want to Price ranges from Rs 400 to Rs 1500 Bangriposi itself is a beautiful village Do not forget to take a stoll throught the village In fact, you can spend a few days enjoying the ambience of the village without going to any other places The roads, ponds, vegetation, chirping of birds will make you feel good If you have some time, you may visit Bankbal dam and Sulaipat dam Sunset at the lake is magnificient You will see many local children They will be very happy if you give them some food If you have an entire day to spend, you can go to Similipal National Park You can reach Jashipur gate in about one hour It is mandatory to take a guide to enter the national park Entry fee is Rs 100 per head Rs 30 for students Guide will cost another Rs 100 And Rs 100 for the vehicle The vehicle needs to have good ground clearance (SUV) Otherwise, you will need to take Govt. vehicle of Similipal

There is no provision of parking near the gate Hence, it is better not to take a hatchback car There are two arrangements for lunch The government canteen offers unlimited veg meal for Rs 100 Or there is only a single private restaurant where you can pay and have whatever you like If you want to have lunch at the Government canteen, you need to purchase coupons at the permission point The lunch contains rice, daal, two types of fries, vegetable, pickle and papad After the permission, you may visit Ramtirtha nature camp and crocodile project This is not part of the main Similipal national park As it is very close to Jashipur gate Those who wants to visit only Similipal it can be ideal place to stay We bought tickets of Rs 5 and entered the area it can be ideal place to stay After completing Ramtirthe, come straight to Similipal There are a lot to see here, everything is not possible in a day We saw a 340 years old sacrad Sal tree Uski waterfall Barehipani waterfall And Chahala Apart from this, there was pine forest and Joranda waterfall Which we could not see due to lack of time On the last night, we had bonfire and barbecue at the resort In an open space, bonfire was arranged In that flame, our dinner was prepared The experice in a winter night, brough our tour to another level Time to return after the three days tour With lots of memories, refreshing experience, lungs full of oxygen We have only one request in the end Travel with happiness But do not litter the places with your waste If you carry food, bring back the empty packets, bottles etc with you And put them in proper place Only then these beautiful places will remain beautiful for long We hope you liked the video Please share your opinion in the comment section And do not forget to subscribe the channel Many thanks for watching the video till the end We will come back with another experience
