And from Chennai, there are only Rs 6000. And from Mumbai, Rs 8,000 and from Delhi, there are Rs 9000-10,000. However, you can also reach Andaman by ship from Kolkata, Chennai and Vizag. Andaman and Nicobar are a group of 836 islands on which 31 islands people live. Even in Nicobar, no one can go without the invitation and permission of the locals. For Havlock Island, if you go there by private cruise, you have to reach the passenger terminal at Haddo Jetty.
But you can also go to Havlock by government ship which is very cheap. Upon arrival at Haddo Jetty, you get a boarding pass by checking your ID and ticket and you can reach here at least an hour before ship departure. Now let's go inside. This is our cruise. If you want this category, you'll have to spend INR 7,000-8,000 in the season. And in the off-season, you'll get it in less INR 1,000-2,000 than that. In Havelock, the best location for a hotel is near by Govind Nagar beach, where there are many hotels and resorts near the Mango Tree Restaurant. From Port Blair to Havelock, catch the first cruise because you can check in at the hotel at 10-11 am and leave for Elephant Beach.
Which will save you one day. Because for Elephant Beach, you have to go by speedboat and the last boat leaves at 1 PM. So leave for Elephant Beach on the first day whose speedboat is right next to the jetty. What time does this boat leave for Elephant Beach? Morning, we start at 9 o'clock. So starting from 9 AM and it lasts till 1 PM because after reaching there 3 hours are given.
- At 4 PM the boat will come back.. In this Rs 1000 ticket complimentry Snorkeling is included. But it's only for 4-5 minutes so it's better if you book this activity. We're going on a speedboat and this is running.
There are two types of speedboats here, one is covered and other is uncovered. This one without a cover is a little faster and reaches in 15-20 minutes. Elephant beach is basically known for water sports and in the entire India, the water sports activities of here are counted at the top. At Elephant Beach, there are snorkeling, submarine, sea walk, parasailing, dolphin cruise, jet ski and many other rides. After a 20-minute ride, we've reached here at Elephant Beach.
And you can see Elephant Beach behind me and we got to see some water sports activities here. We're going to do a lot of activities too, Let's show you. After landing on the island, you are given a 5-minute briefing and since there is no mobile network here, there is a facility of announcement at the police booth.
Along with this, there is a locker, a paid toilet and a changing room facility as well. Although this is an island, you can only access the beach of here. So, now we are going to do some submarine activities. We will do this activity and this is our submarine.
It looks exactly the same and we will go inside the submarine. I have come to Andaman many times, but I have never done this kind of activity. And as soon as you come inside the submarine, first of all, it is completely air-conditioned. You won't feel hot and you must have started seeing this right now. We will just be waiting for the corals, reefs and fishes. Marine life. Excited.
As soon as you enter the submarine, you will see only blue water in the beginning. But after 5 minutes, you will enter the sea life. Oh, brother, look at this. All the fishes have come here. They are of different colors far away and next to it, this yellow and black one.
Wow! This is what is attracting me. There is a magnifying glass in the submarine. With this, even though the fishes are quite far away, you can see them quite close. And anyone can do this.
Because you don't have to go into the water and get drenched. And you don't have to wear a life jacket. Those who fear deep sea this is the best activity for them. This whole activity takes about 20 minutes.
For which you have to pay about 3500 rupees per person. But those who want dive in deep sea for them there is best activity available here. We are not going back now. We are going to do a sea walk now. And this is a very special activity because this happens only in Andaman, India.
For the sea walk, you are taken on a 2-minute ride from Elephant Beach to some distance. Where there is a big platform on top of the ocean. And this is where the real activity begins. So, for the sea walk, I have changed here. Changing room is here. After that, there is some briefing etc. After the briefing, you go for the sea walk. Some people are going and doing and there is not much crowd here For the sea walk, you wear a helmet.
And through the stairs, you go down 20-30 feet in the ocean. One guide is with you and corals, reefs and fishes are very close to you. For the whole activity, you get 15-20 minutes. And for this, you have to spend 3800 rupees per person. There is no need to tell about the sea walk because you have seen the inside view. And it is type of silent vlogging, you just have see the things, communication is done through gestures.
But you have to see. The main thing is the view there. All the activities are going on there. There are corals, reefs. How they closes and opens with a pinch. It is amazing to see all these things and my recommendation would be that you shoud do this Sea walk activity on top.
Scuba is also on top, in that may be you can't see but in this you will definetly see the things. The people of here are not from here I mean, they are brought here from different states. Before independence, as you all know, there used to be a cellular jail here where the prisoners were kept. But after independence there was no population here. So to increase the population, the government brought people from different states, mostly from South India, and gave them free land and ration at that time. So the population gradually increased here. And when I found out that there is a local food of here, everyone told me that there are people from different states of India here.
So you will get all kinds of food here. Now at which place I have come now, let me tell you the name, Mango Tree Multi Cuisine restaurant. So I asked them if I can get something from Andaman. So they have made a mix of everything.
This is a Bengali dish. This Potato Cabbage is of North Indian. This is lady finger curry of north India and this is a mix veg of Kerala spices. So this is a Kerala dish and Rasam is also from South India. Sambar is also from South India. And this is Dal is also from North India. So the whole combination is made Andaman's dish.
I will tell you the price. You will get a thali for Rs. 250. And Dal Fry for Rs. 150. So if you are planning to find a restaurant here, this is quite good. I have understood it correctly till now and I ate yesterday here as well. Today also our dinner is going on here. From the point of view of taste, Mango Tree is a very good restaurant.
And the best thing is that its location is only 3 km from Jetty. And about 3.5 km from Kalapathar beach. Along with this, all the major hotels are around it. After this, there were some cute and funny kind of activities.
Which are cheap and also very fun. If the water splashes on the camera, then you have to manage it. Because now the boat will pull the mickey mouse.
And there is our boat. Pull it. You said right uncle, Don't bring any stuff with you in this ride.. You try to get free from here till 2.30 pm. Because after this, after reaching Havelock, change clothes in the hotel and go to Radhanagar beach.
Which is a blue flag beach. And you can see the beautiful sunset of the evening from here. I have reached Radhanagar beach.
And I have reached here because of brother. He is local of here and he told me that, I was going to a crowed place and he told me come here and you will get a completely empty place here. Will we get some other places like this? Yes, there are other places like this. Like there is a secret beach very few people go there. And there are some other untouched islands. Like we have island hopping from here where people go for snorkeling.

On the next day in Havelock, you can go to the Kala patthar which is basically a beach and by covering and then catching 9 AM cruise you can leave for neil island.
