【Q&A】車暮らしの日本一周夫婦!よくある質問にお答えします。
Hello. The other day, our number of subscribers has exceeded 60,000. Thank you very much. We used to hold a YouTube live to commemorate the achievement of every 10,000 people.
However, we just did a YouTube live to commemorate 50,000 people the other day. This time we will make the first premiere video. This video should be premiered.
And this time, for the first time, we solicited questions from everyone. We would like to answer that question. We usually get questions from Instagram and YouTube comments. However, there were many questions that we could not answer. We will mainly answer the newly recruited questions and frequently asked questions. We solicited questions from the YouTube community and Instagram stories. Thankfully, we received over 200 questions.
Thank you. We would like to answer this question today. We have classified the questions to be answered this time into four categories. ① About us ② About traveling around Japan ③ About cars and van-life ④ About YouTube I would like to answer these four in order. ① The question about us. We'll answer the question about us first. First of all, there were quite a few questions about our career.
We got a lot of questions about university, previous job, hometown, and so on. So, based on that, I will briefly introduce myself. (Kenji's self-introduction) I'm from the southern part of Osaka. I grew up in Osaka. My elementary, junior high and high schools are public schools in Osaka, and the university is also in Osaka. I went on to Osaka University. I got accepted to the smartest university in Osaka. Lol
After studying for 4 years at university, I did job hunting and joined a major company. A company with branches all over Japan, my starting place was Hiroshima. I was transferred several times. Hiroshima → Ehime → Okayama → Hiroshima again. I have been transferred three times. (Akari's self-introduction) I am also from the southern part of Osaka. It's a different city from Kenji. My elementary, junior high and high schools are public schools in Osaka.
The university attended a women's university in Kobe and obtained a nutritionist certificate. I didn't get a job as a nutritionist, but did general job hunting. I worked as a sales representative at a pharmaceutical manufacturer.
My company also had branches all over Japan. At first, I was assigned to Okayama and then transferred to Kyoto. I married Kenji, quit my job, and lived together in Hiroshima. We were both sales positions at large companies with branches all over Japan. So we lived in various places.
Our simple profile looks like this. We haven't talked much about my background, but we got a lot of questions. I can't say the company name, but I worked for a major company.
Next, about our encounter, which has been asked many questions. There were many questions about this. Our encounter. There were many questions asked this time, and it is a question that is often asked. Perhaps I have answered at YouTube live concerts so far. Both of them were transferees and worked in Okayama, so we encountered in Okayama.
The company is different, but it was a group company. We were playing futsal for recreation at the companies, and we met there. I knew the existence of Akari from the time I lived in Shikoku.
I also knew the existence of Kenji because I was told by the colleague in Shikoku. I've probably met once. I once made a greeting while job training in Kagawa. I don't remember at all. Lol There was nothing at that time, I just greeted him. After that, we met at futsal and I tried to get close.Lol Both of them were from southern Osaka, so we talked to each other and it was quick to get along.
Our hobbies were similar. Both of them snowboarded and loved traveling. So I tried to get close to Akari. I was thinking of getting married from that time. I felt that I would marry this person soon after I met her. So I tried to get close. But Akari didn't feel anything. Lol
We have been dating since 2016. Both of them live in Okayama, and when returned to Osaka in summer vacation, dated and ask out. Then I was turned down. I wasn't able to answer immediately. I was worried because I hadn't met him yet.
I'm on a date, so I thought I'd get a good reply. I was about to be turned down, but Akari didn't like anyone. Try it for the time being. Lol
I tried to make a decision by dating. When I went on a date with him, we got along very well and got married. Kenji have a good eye. Akari don't have a good eye. Lol We were in Okayama, but Akari was immediately transferred to Kyoto. It feels like a long-distance relationship.
It's Okayama and Kyoto, so it's not really far, but it's a long distance. We met once or twice a month. I proposed to Akari on her birthday. 2017. We got married in 2018.
It's like that. At the time of getting married, Akari left the company and lived together in Hiroshima. The next question may be the most frequently asked question. Do you have a quarrel? How do you make up? What is the secret of good relationship? This question is insanely many. I'm often asked. In conclusion, there are times when we fight.
But there aren't many big fights. There is no big quarrel that turns the world upside down. Skirmishes are common. How to make up. It will be resolved through discussion. Discuss and apologize. It will not be carried over to the next day.
Even if you have a quarrel, if you take a moment, you can talk calmly. So it's like discussing and resolving. We live in this small space, so we can't stay in a fight. We absolutely have to make up and solve it. Even when we lived at home, we didn't quarrel until the next day.
When we lived at home, we worked in different places from each other, so we might have fought. We were having a fight with dissatisfaction in the invisible part. Late return home or dissatisfaction with the division of housework. I think it's in every home, there was such a quarrel. We don't know what we're doing. We've been together for almost 24 hours now, except for the bath and toilet, so there are many parts we can see. The quarrel has decreased.
We've been close from before, but since we live this car life, we've become more close. And the secret of good relationship. Originally we're on good terms. We have similar hobbies and values, and have a good feeling. So we're on good terms in the first place. It may be important that the hobbies are the same.
If you have different hobbies, only one of them will do the hobby and may cause a fight. It's a fictional story, but we don't, so we can enjoy our hobbies together. I'm glad we have the same hobbies. The next question is about children. This was also asked from time to time. The question is what to do with your child.
We wish we had our children in the future. However, it's difficult because we're traveling around Japan now. We hope it in the future, not right now.
Until now, I have been asked questions in the comments, but I have not answered clearly. I think the reason is that it is a delicate issue. I think there are various ways of thinking in the world. We hope it in the future, but some people don't. Some people dare to choose not to have children. Or they can't have children anymore. I think there are people who can't do it even if they hope it.
It's not uncommon these days. It's easy to answer the question of whether want a child. However, there was an opinion that it was not a question that "you should have children" and "it is more fun to have children". It's just some people's words.
But if I had a body that I couldn't have children, I would have been very hurt. So I couldn't answer that question. I feel like I want it, but it's difficult to answer if I think it may not be possible.
I didn't answer in the comments because I think it's a delicate issue. I don't think everyone who commented is malicious. However, there are various situations, so I think you should consider how to listen.
We want it, but not right now. The rest is a very simple question. What is your blood type? I am the AB type. I am type A. It seems that both of the people who were asked thought that they were type A. Half correct. Lol I had a lot of other questions, but the next question about us is the last one.
Overseas travel history. The question is, have you been abroad? We have been to. There are places where we went together, and there are places where we went each when we were students. The place we went to each. About 15 countries each. In some countries I went more than once.
The place we went together Singapore. Shanghai. Busan. India. Spain. And the our wedding was held in Hawaii. We went to 6 countries together. We went on an overseas trip once a year.
Even when I was an office worker, I was traveling abroad if I had a long vacation. But it became difficult with COVID-19. We haven't been able to go recently. When COVID-19 calms down, we would like to go on an overseas trip again.
We've always loved traveling abroad, so we'd like to go again when it calms down. That's the answer to questions about us. ② About traveling around Japan.
Now, questions about traveling around Japan. This also had many questions. First of all, about the reason why we decided to go around Japan. First of all, I wanted to quit my job since I was an office worker. I think there are many people who have worked and wanted to quit. I was working for a company that had a transfer, so I had to transfer several times.
However, I was only transferred to Chugoku and Shikoku, and since I am from Osaka, I also wanted to go back to Osaka. I wanted to go to more areas, but the reason I wanted to quit the company was that I was only transferred in same area. It may be unavoidable because he knew that it was a company with a transfer, but he wanted to go to various places. Some of my colleagues were in the area they wanted, but I was dissatisfied because my hopes didn't come true. When we got married, we lived separately in Okayama and Kyoto, respectively.
If possible, we wanted to marry each other without leaving the company. Akari was in Kyoto, so it would have been best if I worked in Kansai. I made such a consultation to the company, but as a result, I was transferred to Hiroshima at that time. It can't be helped that he can't move, but it's farther in Hiroshima. Therefore, we had to choose between living separately in Hiroshima and Kyoto, or leaving the company and living together. We wanted to live together if we got married, so Akari left the company and started living together in Hiroshima.
Even though it was a big time in my life to get married, I couldn't go back to Kansai, and I was transferred to a farther area. After all, Akari also decided to quit the company. That made me want to quit the company.
When I said leaving the company, my boss told me that I could transfer if I waited for half a year. Kenji's company was transferred in April and my company was transferred in October. I was told that I could move in half a year, but I wondered how many times this would continue. I wondered if I had to live like that for the rest of my life. Either one will be transferred and one will follow. I quit the company thinking that I couldn't do this job for a long time. I kept telling her that I wanted to quit my job. Before getting married.
Also, I thought there was a job that suits him better than an office worker. I didn't enjoy the sales job so much. The premise was that I wanted to quit the company in the first place. When we were in this situation, COVID-19 infection was widespread.
We used to travel to places we wanted to go and go camping. But I couldn't go because COVID-19, and I worked at home, so we had more opportunities to talk. I thought it was only once in my life, and I experienced a world where I didn't know what was going on. I thought I would regret it later if I didn't do what I wanted to do. If we don't do what we want while we're healthy, we'll definitely regret it.
We decided to quit the company and go on our favorite trip. We couldn't go back to my parents' house for about a year because of the COVID-19. Until then, we returned to Osaka on a regular basis. We was able to go to play wherever we wanted before. Even if I couldn't choose a place to live as a transfer family, I'm glad I could go to my favorite place. We couldn't do that either, and it was hard at that time.
I think everyone is the same, but I've been unable to meet my family and friends more often. I had more opportunities to wonder if it would be okay as it is, so I left the company and set out on a journey. The trigger is like that. Next is the reaction around us when we decide to go on a trip. How was the reaction of your family and those around you? In conclusion, there is no opposition to the family.
They didn't object to it, but they were worried. I think it's natural for them to be worried if we suddenly leave the company and go around Japan. I wasn't surprised because I heard from Kenji that I wanted to leave the company. However, they ware surprised because we hadn't told such a story to my family at all.
Wasn't the members of the company surprised? They were surprised. Some people said it was a waste because I worked for a big company. Some people opposed it, but basically they supported me. When I talked about going around Japan, many people cheered us "Do your best!". I think that the tendency to work for one company is decreasing as it used to be. The number of people who change jobs is increasing. I think everyone supported me because the culture that allows me to quit my job once has permeated society.
At first, my family was worried, but the two of us shared our thoughts. We told them that we saved money so that we could live without working for the time being. They are convinced and support me. Now that we're distributing videos, my family is watching us and they can know the latest status. Lol
We were both transferees, so originally we couldn't meet our family often. Rather, I think they are relieved because they know what we are doing now. It was a reaction like that. In connection with that, we were asked if we had a home. We don't have a home right now. There is no our house. We lived in a rented house because we were often transferred.
We lived in a rented house in Hiroshima, but we canceled the contract. Our luggage that cannot be loaded in the car are at my parents' house. The address is temporarily my parents' house. Because of that, family support is important.
Since the mail arrives at my parents' house, I ask them to check for important documents. In that sense as well, I am receiving the help of my family. Thank you. Next, this is also a very common question. What will you do after going around Japan? The question is how long will you continue your journey? It wasn't all around Japan, but after it was over.
I'm sure you'll be curious. First of all, we were planning to travel for a year, starting in April 2021. So we thought the trip would end in March or April.
But in reality, we had to stop traveling for about two months at the end of last year. So we're thinking of extending it for two months. It will end by the end of June. I think it would have been a year if I could go around in order as planned, but I continued my journey while considering the infection situation.
It took longer than I expected because there was a place where I changed the route. However, I don't intend to continue the trip for a long time, so it will end around June. After going around Japan, I would like to set up a base somewhere for the time being. Since I went to various parts of Japan on this trip, I would like to live in a place I like other than Osaka. I would like to live in an area I have never lived before. We haven't decided where to live.
We want to work in that place. YouTube will continue. There was also a question asking if I would quit YouTube after the trip was over. YouTube intends to continue as it is.
I've always loved traveling and traveling abroad, so I'd like to be able to shoot videos when I go on a trip or when I go camping. The next question is how to decide the destination of the trip. How do you decide the route? This is basically searching the Internet for the place we want to go. Just like you, search the net to find the place we want to go. I put a pin on Google Maps to save the place I want to go.
While watching it, we talk about the route and decide. We like nature and scenic spots, so we sometimes search on Instagram. Since the pictures come out, I also find the place I want to go by looking at the pictures. (1) Check out sightseeing spots (2) Put a pin on Google Maps (3) Think about routes We try to go around nearby places as a set. Since we share a Google account, we can see the same map pinned by two people.
Save and share your favorite places. If you make a route with it, you can look up the tourist spots along the way on Google Maps. That's how I find tourist spots and decide where to go. We have roughly decided which prefecture to go to next.
However, it feels like it is changing depending on the infection status and timing. Subsequent questions. About physical condition during the trip. Health care. We haven't done anything in particular.
Fortunately, we haven't had any major illnesses or injuries. When I was camping in Hokkaido, I was bitten by a gnat, and I had a fever only once because of my allergies to gnats. I haven't been to the hospital. I had a poison remover and medicine, so I treated myself. It's hard to spend time in the car, so I spent a relaxing time at the inn.
With that kind of feeling, I don't feel sick so much. I was sick when I was working. I have less chance to meet people, so I don't have any infectious diseases. I am in good physical condition because I am spending time in nature.
I felt sick when I returned to Osaka once. Lol Is it an air problem? I also had rough skin. We are traveling at our own pace, so we will not get sick. I don't force myself to go sightseeing, and I have plenty of time to sleep, so I'm healthy.
Last question. Good place and the most delicious thing I've ever eaten. I had quite a few questions about this, but I'm still in the middle of a round of Japan, so I'd like to introduce it after the trip is over. I think it would be great if we could announce the good places and the delicious gourmet foods all together. This time I will leave this question aside. Please look forward to it until the end of our trip.
These are the questions about going around Japan. Continue to the second part ... Please subscribe and comment. Thank you for watching!
