Our couple are traveling around Japan while camping and staying in the car on the DIY light van Curry. This time, we will travel to Shimane prefecture, Japan! We met the finest hot springs on this trip! Hello. I am currently in Shimane prefecture. I left Saga and went to Fukuoka. I've been to Fukuoka many times before, so I stopped by for a meal but didn't go sightseeing.
That's why I didn't shoot. I ate the famous mentaiko and ramen. I went to Yamaguchi from Fukuoka. Yamaguchi also did not shoot. I went to Tsunoshima and Motonosumi Shrine.
It is a shrine where torii gates are lined up in a row toward the sea. I went east along the Sea of Japan. The weather was not very good. You should visit Tsunoshima on a sunny day. So I didn't shoot in Yamaguchi, I just went sightseeing and came to Shimane prefecture.
Today I'm going to two hot springs in Shimane prefecture. Instead of going two in the same hot spring town, we'll visit two completely different hot spring areas. The first place I came to is Oda City, Shimane Prefecture. It is a city with the world heritage "Iwami Ginzan".
I came to Yunotsu Town there. The name of the town also says "hot spring". Yunotsu Onsen. It is a hot spring in the town of hot springs. I have come once. When I came near for work, I was attracted to the name and stopped by. It's a very characteristic hot spring, so I've only been there once, but it left a strong impression on me. I wanted to come again someday.
Located near the Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine, Yunotsu Town is a World Heritage Town. It is registered as a World Heritage Site as one of the constituent assets of "Iwami Ginzan Ruins and its Cultural Landscape". Therefore, it is a hot spring in a World Heritage Site. The hot springs of "Tsuboyu" in Wakayama Prefecture, which I visited before, are a World Heritage Site. The entire hot spring area is a World Heritage Site.
it's great. It is a hot spring resort located in Japan's only important traditional buildings preservation district. Like the Sekijuku I visited before, the entire city is a conservation area. It is a very rare hot spring town. The cityscape is protected.
The old cityscape is left behind. First, let's take a look at the cityscape. The hot spring town is very emotional.
Very retro. This is a building that is no longer in use. I was shocked when I came earlier. Atmosphere like time slip.
There are two public baths here. One is this "Motoyu Onsen". The other is "Yakushiyu" on the opposite side. These are the two that you can take a day trip bath. A hot spring found when Tanuki was healing his wounds. When I came before, I took this Motoyu.
I'll come in here later. Another hot spring is this "Yakushiyu". In the examination set by the Japan Hot Spring Association, we obtained the only all 5 in Sanin.
It seems that all the perfect scores are very rare. I don't know about this association, but it's probably amazing. lol The hot springs in Shimane Prefecture are known as "Beautiful skin hot springs". "Beauty hot water" "Beautiful skin hot water" This is Yakushi hot water.
I will come here later. I made a reservation because there is a private family bath here. After that, I will go to the Motoyu. It's really emotional. It is the world view of Spirited Away. Lol It's nostalgic.
Ginzan Onsen in Yamagata was also retro, but it has a different atmosphere. Real retro. lol I'm going to Yakushiyu first. It seems that the building next to it used to be a bathing facility.
It is now a cafe. The cafe is open at 11:00. It's fashionable. I will go to the private bath of Yakushiyu. At the reception, go to the family bath.
The usage time is 40 minutes. Amazing. Oh, it's awesome.
It's as nice as Tsuboyu. A lot of Yunohana is attached. This is 800 yen per person. It can be used by one or two people.
There is a private bath for 4 people in the annex. (1200 yen per adult) It is certainly a size that can accommodate only two people. The source is 46 degrees. hot. It was very hot when I took the Motoyu before.
Take a bath. Wow, the smell is amazing. It's hot but I put it in. It feels good. Oh, it feels good.
It's not hotter than I expected. It's hot, but I can put it in. it's the best.
hot. It was refreshing. The entrance looks like this. The entrances are separated by gender, but they were connected inside. The large communal bath is 500 yen.
There is a break above. This building is also retro. It's a little Western style.
I can see the outside. There is a roof terrace on the 3rd floor. You can drink coffee for free. You can drink on the rooftop or in the lounge on the 2nd floor. Let's drink while cooling on the roof. Roof terrace.
Like this. You can also see the hot spring town from here. Ah, it felt good. It's retro.
The tiles are also red and tasteful. It's time slip. Lol The hot springs were really good. I also saw a large communal bath. Furthermore, the Yunohana was amazing. A large version of the private bath.
Hyper version. It feels like a boss. A lot of hot spring ingredients are attached around the bathtub. it's the best. I can understand the meaning of "Beautiful skin hot water".
The quality of the spring is very good. It wasn't hotter than I expected. About 45-46 ℃. It is hotter than ordinary hot springs. lol Motoyu is hotter.
When I visited Motoyu before, I was surprised because it was too hot. But it seems that it was renewed in 2020. It seems that a lukewarm bathtub for beginners has been newly installed.
It seems that it has become easier to take a bath. So now It has 3 bathtubs. Previously there were two bathtubs.
A hot tub and a slightly cold tub. But it was still hot. Lol It made a new bathtub with a lower temperature. It seems that the source of Yakushi-yu and Moto-yu is different. I think the spring quality is similar because the distance is short. It seems that there is a little difference because the source is different.
There is a drinkingboard opposite the Motoyu. Currently not available. When it can be used, a hot spring comes out from the mouth of the dragon. Press the button and it will come out. There seems to be a button below this. Lol I can't drink now.
Take a bath in Motoyu. I took a bath in Motoyu. Amazing. It was much hotter than Yakushi-yu. Hot tubs, lukewarm tubs, more lukewarm tubs. The new bathtub is for beginners.
Even in a lukewarm bathtub, it is hotter than Yakushiyu. I can't enter the hot tub. I just touched it.
I entered. I went into a lukewarm tub and thought that a hot tub was okay. But I came out in 10 seconds. Lol After that, my leg hurt and I couldn't walk. Lol I couldn't walk for about 2 seconds because it hurt too much.
It was after I went to Yakushi-yu, so I immediately put it in the lukewarm bathtub. But it gets hotter and more painful. It feels like my limbs are numb. After all, I only put in 2 minutes. I went in and out repeatedly. I got a little hot flashes.
The spring quality is similar. It was really good. I talked to the locals.
it's the best. I also like the retro atmosphere. The hot springs were also good. Is the inn open? There are several inns, but I don't know if they are open. I want to stay next time.
Next, we will head to another hot spring area. I will go to Tamatsukuri Onsen, which is a little further east. Tamatsukuri Onsen is more famous. Near a lake called Lake Shinji in Shimane. The south side of Lake Shinji.
It is also said to be a hot spring for beautiful skin. going now. About an hour and a half by car. I will go to another hot spring town. It was an interesting hot spring town.
it's the best. I have never been there, but Tamatsukuri Onsen has the impression that there are more shops in the hot spring town. I would like to eat lunch there as well. Kenji and Akari. I left Yunotsu Onsen and came to Tamatsukuri Onsen. I'm hungry before 13:00, so I'll have lunch.
I came to "Wakatake Sushi", which is a little far from the hot spring town. Bowl of rice topped with sashimi. There is also sushi. I ordered a premium seafood bowl. A great thing has appeared. Lol big.
I'll enjoy having this. It's really big. Lol This is 2200 yen. I feel cheap. I'll enjoy having this.
What should I eat from? delicious. delicious. Wow, how should I eat it? I can't see the rice because there are so many ingredients. Lol
Everything is delicious. After eating lunch, I came to the hot spring town. The river is flowing. Ryokan and shops are lined up along the river. There is a footbath here.
There was also a tourist information pamphlet. There is a roof. There is a footbath along the river, but it's raining so I came here. Currently it is Himegami Square.
There are two footbaths along the river. I walked from the direction of Tamatsukuri Onsen. Free parking is available for sightseeing. Footbath First of all, feel the Tamatsukuri Onsen with our feet. Lol
It's like a footbath with lotion. It feels good. hot. It was a hot footbath. Lol It seems that it contains sulfate ions that moisturize the skin.
It seems that "magatama" is famous in this area. There is also a magatama monument and a bridge called Magatamabashi. Tamatsukuri Onsen has a history of 1300 years. It is said to be one of the oldest hot springs in Japan.
Good quality blue agate (raw material for magatama) was harvested around here. Therefore, making magatama was popular. There was also a footbath on the riverside. A cute signboard. Below this. It's right next to the river.
It feels really good. It's raining so I can't enter. I think it's great when it's not raining. It is Magatamabashi. A larger magatama than I expected. Lol
big. I don't sit because it's wet, but it's big enough to sit. Happy blue agate. There is "Magatama Island" in the river. It is in the shape of a magatama.
If it's not raining, cross over and touch the rough stone in the middle. It is a gemstone. Unfortunately it is impossible today.
I walked to the Yuyakushi Square. You can take the hot springs home. You can freely take out the source of the hot spring with beautiful skin. You can get it here. This hot spring can be used as a lotion. You can buy a bottle for 200 yen.
What is springing up is natural lotion. The standard for storage is 5 days. I will pump it into the bottle I had.
I've used up the lotion I was just using, so I'll use it for 5 days. hot. hot! It is boiling water. Not as hot as boiling water. Lol There are also shrines and temples ahead.
It is a power spot. At the temple, you can apply white powder to Jizo and pray for beautiful skin. It's raining today so I'll give up. It's in the back. On the way back to the station, take the "Tamatsukuri Onsen Yu-Yu" to enter the hot spring. Arrived. There is also a parking lot.
It is a large building in the back. I'm going. I went.
it was good. Tamatsukuri Onsen was thick. It is really suitable to call it hot water for beautiful skin. It was a hot spring that looked good on your skin. The color is transparent and it really looks like a lotion or serum.
Soft hot water. I attached the source that I just drew. I don't know if it works because it's after taking a hot spring. Lol I think the source is more effective because it is fresher. Lol The bathtub was in the shape of a large magatama.
It was characteristic and interesting. The bathing fee is 500 yen, which is cheap, but it is not a free-flowing source. It's cheap so feel free to put it in.
If you want to enter the source, you have to go to the inn. When I looked it up, it was about 1500 yen, which was expensive. You can take a bath here cheaper than inns. I think it's good if you want to take a bath cheaply. This time I visited two hot spring towns.
Both are said to be "Beautiful skin hot water", but they are completely different. The first Yunotsu Onsen is a strong hot spring ingredient. The quality of the spring is so good that you can see the richness of the hot spring ingredients just by looking at the bathtub. But surprisingly there is no smell.
Since it is a salt and carbonic acid component, it did not smell sulfur. It's not as addictive as it looks. Both were good. There are two interesting public baths in Yunotsu, so you can be satisfied with a day trip.
Tamatsukuri is a place where you can take a walk around the city and enjoy it if you stay. It seems that it is better for your skin to take a bath several times, so I think it is better to stay. Both hot springs were good. Shimane prefecture is wonderful.
There are many other hot springs. I didn't go this time, but there are also Iwami Ginzan and Izumo Taisha. Shimane Prefecture is also the Oki Islands introduced in the previous video. When I think about it again, Shimane Prefecture is amazing.
I didn't feel much when I lived in Hiroshima. It's a very good place. There is also an aquarium called Aquas. A cute white dolphin shows the trick. We've been there before.
There is also a famous museum called the Adachi Museum of Art. It was really good. Yunotsu Onsen was really nice to come after a long time. I felt even better than when I came here a long time ago.
I visited hot springs all over Japan, and I think the quality of the hot springs is quite good. Recommended for those who like the retro atmosphere. It is a little far from Iwami Ginzan and Izumo Taisha Shrine.
I think it's worth visiting just to get into the hot springs. This leaves Shimane prefecture. I'm going to Tottori after this, but I'm not planning to shoot a video. The weather is bad, so after a little sightseeing, I will go to the next place.
Thank you for your viewing. Bye bye. Thank you for subscribing to the channel.
