3 nights staying in Gangnam | Korea vlog part 1| Solo travel 2024
Another year celebrating my birthday pre flight at the airport This year I chose Sushi Tei because I was craving for their salad sauce, it’s just so good! Got a birthday pie because pistachio cakes are limited~ Thank you my friends! Time to board~ but the queue just keeps getting longer... Landed in Korea! Before anything else, packing my flight things into the luggage My luggage is going to be transferred to my airbnb, so I’ll be able to travel easier The one I got is tripeasy luggage transfer from Klook! And this corner of the airport is so zen and pretty~ Space 01, there’s 8 scenes spanning over 20 minutes Enjoying the light interaction This one was super soothing Finally heading out of the airport! Expected cooling weather but the sun is strong today Queue took about 20 minutes, which is fast but I didn’t have to queue... Saw this only after I was almost at the front I got the one with added cabbage? 12,000 won to be overstuffed A very satisfying first meal that I tried my best to finish Just opposite gamjatang, there’s Hanjungsun, a popular mochi place Season’s special, knafeh mochi I bought the cooler bag so that I can have it later The Saturday crowd (crying internally) Never did I ever expect myself to be queuing to enter a stationery store I can’t help but admire their hanging lamps, it’s so pretty! A stamping station on the second level! Ink’s a little faded but still cute! Happy that I queued for POV, even though I didn’t end up getting much here There’s this weird thing I enjoy when watching fireworks It’s how the sound delays as compared to the visuals (even more so here) And I feel like I finally get the hype about fireworks, the scale is just different! I’m glad I decided to take the chance and turn up for it I apologise for the shakiness in advance~ I’m definitely in awe of how majestic it can be What a good start to my trip~ Found a random place on the way back to my airbnb for dinner Been to Korea so many times but it’s my first time trying sundae! I don’t know the standard for it but this was not bad, comforting~ Once again, I only discovered they are on Michelin guide when I’m here The queue didn’t take very long, a little before lunch time on a weekend, not too bad I found out about this place from Tiktok! Not the best place to find recommendation without further research but it worked out well! I got the lunch set, which is perfect for a solo traveler like me I like it enough that I want to come back again! Finally got myself a pair of shades~ I was determined to get a One Piece casing, but I simply couldn’t decide! Second level had more accessories, but I couldn’t find anything I liked And then I saw this! This wasn’t a planned itinerary but one that I enjoyed immensely An exhibition in collaboration with scents! I love interactive art experiences This one was like a book of life, showing a series of events to the person standing before it This one was really fun, I love myself a good swing! It’s a view of paris, one that you’ll see if you were on a swing Is this considered me putting in effort for love? Is this not the cutest sight ever?! By no fault of theirs, this was my worst and most expensive meal Their menu is not solo travelers friendly This is the highlight, I don’t enjoy alcohol but since I’m already here, I figured I should try Tried a cup and gifted the rest to the table next to mine As usual, all I taste is the nail varnish flavour This is by no means an alochol review, I can’t taste it iykyk I think it’s a great places for friends to gather and drink with side dishes, just not alone I actually found this brand on shopee just before the trip when I was looking for body oil I was hesitant to buy on shopee because I’m not familiar with scents So glad that I could enjoy the vibes of the store and try the fragrances in person Ended up getting this set with a scent I didn’t expect I’d enjoy! Glad I made it before closing A last minute itinerary, doing my nails! I tried to make a booking the night before, but as it was too late they rejected me So I tried walking in 30 minutes after their opening and they had a slot! Lucky~ My cuticles were so dry and looked so disgusting which was what led me to this adventure Highly recommend! The manicure is cheap and good~ Endless walking~ Random eateries makes for the best meals~ Highlight of the day! It’s less crowded than I thought When I was trying to take a photo here, a girl asked me to get out of her way because she wanted to get a photo... (not these girls) Still managed to get the space to myself for abit, I’m glad it isn’t too crowded All the details~ Too cute! Lucky draw~ Thank you for a good time~ Popped by because it’s just opposite but there really isn’t much here for me Spotted! BTS pop socket gashapon This cafe is a little out of the way but it worked out with where the event was at! I love that they have many different kind of seatings to choose from Didn’t expect my peach-apple tea to come in blue and pink Always sceptical when it comes to artificially colored food but this was so good It’s always nice to have a slow day spent reading at a cafe Last destination for the day, decided to pop by for a bit since I had some time I’ve been to Korea a couple of times but have yet to come here The evening sunset bringing about a whole lot of zen, a good way to end the day for sure
