2018 ah so you really invest in your people i guess in r d team in quality control team in production team no wonder your company is so successful you invest in people yes you are right it is the most calibration the pitch accuracy ensure the tolerance we seem 1.5 micron oh beautiful sure now i also saw in your catalog yeah that you have another drive option for the mp series right yes you are we japanese italian so thirdly we can support 10 languages so far but any language microsoft can support we also support excellent yeah all right now jimmy you're saying it's easy to use now how can the operator set up quickly i mean what are the features you have here sure we have some edgy call for operator uh let me show you here auto door yeah sure this is amazing i like it yeah okay as you can from the maximum position with the summon g tank okay so we close the door now what's the max you could do 300 200 this machine is a 350 millimeter that's pretty hot yeah that's pretty high under under the fluid so if we add the water then other air resistance is a new reverse rating so it can make the wire more strenuous sure so the operator is no need to worry about how to thread it in worldwide yeah europe and usa around 50 and asia including china also another 50.
so you're sold in over 36 countries 56 distributors worldwide yes and now we have all the singapore agent uk agent and all the u.s officer manager okay so you're gonna let me ask any questions yeah distributors to people that are selling machines and using them so can you share a little bit about uh yourself and how you came across exatec and maybe some successful projects that you worked on with exotec that would be very helpful to us okay well uh white machine tools who are the uk agents for exeter have been involved in the edm industry for many years since the early 70s in the early 2000s uh he started talking to exit tech about their range of edm machines and then in around 2010 we started selling extra tech npm machines in the uk um now with the reasons we we like selling the extract range machines is the design and build quality is excellent and customers who came along to our showroom to see the brand see the machines we're very impressed with the quality in the middle yeah so obviously they have good things to say about you now with all the good there's definitely going to be some challenges please do share that too you can't just share all the good stuff right jimmy oh yes there's got to be some challenges along the way of the relationship has there been anything like that well to be very honored honest there hasn't been any real major challenges the uh you know we've sold over a hundred hundred machines into the uk uh we can honestly say that we haven't really got a machine which has caused us a problem uh most of the customers that we've got across the wide broad spectrum of uh industries aerospace motorsports tool and dive medical um and we've got customers who've got one machine anything up to six or seven machines on site and they've been very very well received you know the support that we've been able to give them via working with exit tech has been very very good okay excellent excellent well i guess everything you told me jimmy yeah uh is true right sure he said he's no challenge with you and it seems like also al was saying the market in europe is really good there's not many uh taiwanese competitors and not many competitors in your market because actually the machine offering and the quality and the build is just you know it can't be touched so i guess from your feedback that's true yeah sure all right well ian thank you they got here so charlie can you tell us a little bit a while why is it important for edm manufacturers to be locally present in the market why is that a benefit and why is it important for exatec well if you if you're going to be an edm manufacturer in the american market it's very important that we have an office here and in that office we have to have application support we have to have service support we have to have part support and we have to have a demo room to where we can do the demonstrations for our dealer's customers all of our competition has that and if we don't have it that's not good we also have to have the demo room with the machines so that we can train after we get the purchase order we can train the customers we found out through the years the better training job we do the less problems we have down the road okay that's that's important yeah i think that's what i was saying before the quality machines and also the support locally people cannot wait for their machines to be fixed or they can't wait around for parts so that's that's critical now can you also share with the audience a little bit about your background and why is it that you chose exotech charlie because actually it seems like you could work anywhere why why would you choose exotec well i've been into this industry this will be about the 47th 7th year that i've been in the edm industry and through the years i've worked with companies like owner fanuc i was with owner during the 80s i was with fanuc during the 90s early 2000s and then i met the people at x tech in 2005 at emo and i was very very impressed with the equipment that they had and we did some discussing and uh all of a sudden we were an importer and i worked with him i've worked with him for roughly 14 15 years now charlie could you tell us about the mp series because jimmy has been telling me the mp series is wonderful richard said this is just a superb machine it's pat's in the design and everything what do you have to say you're responsible in the us for this how do you think the market is going to accept this new product for you i think the np series is going to be tremendous for us in american market we showed it in 2018 at imts and got very good reviews with it and now we have a machine that's a traveling column machine with a four-sided table it gives us a lot more advantages especially with the linear motor but now they have come with a ball screw machine with the same casting and so forth this gives us a lower price machine that makes us more competitive in the marketplace and i think we're going to be able to do well with it in this american market yeah that's also something can you elaborate i mean why does somebody want to choose an exotec machine because in the us market you have all kinds of players from uh asia from europe i mean why is it that somebody wants exotex machines well i think when you look at the exotec machine you have all of the best components that you can get you have neonite casting th linear guideways inch and a quarter diameter ball screws a threader that's absolutely second to none in the market i think we have the best threader there is on the market today and with a price that's very very competitive in the marketplace high cp that's what richard i was saying we have you know the cost of performance it's hard to beat exotech i think his team like jimmy all these technical people and they have a lot of conversation with with my team how good is the team and they are going to form a new company to produce wildcard edm machines and ichiseki is about 32 years company we represent taiwan many established machine tools like ycm good way they are big organization in taiwan and we are also representing some wirecard edm uh from taiwan when this richard chang and masusang first approached us to become their agent we are very hesitation all right we we have many discussion in our management why we should follow at the brand new company to start a relationship with them and moreover the other party they have been with us a few years time and give us the support but after a long discussion we have a lot of conversation discussion with richard chung he is a founder of excel tech and with a very sound knowledge of wirecard technology and also mazosan he got a very great experience in the japanese firm for the 30 over years experience on this sable is one of the very famous maker in japan so and jimmy and the rest of the technical team also have many many years production experience in edm wirecard so based on this we believe if we want to have a cooperation with a new company they must have a good people and go team that is the first thing we are consideration second thing when this is richard khan and the team company so one very successful case is main fun maibang is a local based company but esther bridge in worldwide they are ems electronic manufacturing service provider they are also a contract manufacturer they have a department specialized in mall manufacturing and we have supply all together six exercise workout machine to maybe more before they start using aesthetic wire card they have wire cut from europe from japan and other countries when we start to introduce them the first unit of aesthetic wirecard is not easy many test cut has been done to prove to me ban about the machine consistency and also stability along the way there's something that really attracts their attention that is our astrotex wirecast auto wire trading system because at that time a lot of japan make machine or europe machine they need water guided awt but our machine is able to do auto wire trading at a stop point and without water guiding so this is a very big convincing point that get me ban to start to try the first unit after the first unit we spent a lot of time to help customers to really master and make full use of the machines that allowed them to feel how powerful the machine is so is a little different from most companies that i visited when i asked oh how's your sales team they said oh yeah i'm the sales team right well we all know it's very complicated to handle all these various markets and support agents yeah and all these countries with just one guy yeah so can you introduce your team jimmy uh yes yeah so let me introduce my sales team so mr tong nino he checked it quite big markets now how can you handle these kind of markets they're so far away i mean there must be a lot of sales agents you have to deal with right how can you deal with these markets for sales we provide all serious of the care locker for all all the customers and the agent to use and also we provide uh some the sales app which says the the sales training you guys have your own app yeah yeah you can download it even in your iphone or your ipad so you can use it on your bed also you can use so this is a provider all of the sales material for the all the sales training for all of the salesmen for our agent wow nice yeah for the after service we provide the factory the training after service training schedule for our agent the engineer going to taiwan to see the our machine the detail for the after services required and also we provide all the spare parts warranty for the customer and also we we prepared all of on nine of the service training online the service that's right i saw you guys uh taking a lot of the video yeah some video and also like we we we send some the data for the like internet and you can you can to to see in the download and all of the our after service the question will be answered within 24 hours for our all of the engineers sure and also we prepare the all of the spare part equipment for dispatch within 48 hours to our customer and agent so this is a provider too quickly after service right yeah and also we keep some of the pcb and all the engine uh warehouse to improve the after service the speed use some safety buffer yeah the the edge is not necessary to send back it and the weight in the spare part and the pcb from the taiwan sometimes they waste a week or something so when we put the pcb on the warehouse of the our engine site they can quickly to repair the machine no need the way people so this is a customer the more chess on the machine yeah that's important because i think in these markets yes those mold and die makers they need their mold fast sometimes they want to mold in one week yeah yeah so this is more quickly to service with the customer customers can be just us on the machine and also we we have have to make in the cam as a system this is a knowledge management system so the engineer can own time to go into internet to search their questions or they can access anything yeah yeah yeah they go into search they want to the we put the database on the internet which is a good job yeah sure so the engineer can see quickly not necessary to ask anybody people or even they don't find the data in there so also they can only call our engineer that we have like a social security tony lou help me right now we have a social media and we have a service manager and all social engineers in taiwan and we get online to do the service with the customer agent yeah so this is coming to more quickly responsible for our machine so this is getting our machines more faster and the customer more reliable just our machine i can feel jimmy this is this kind of the service here yeah it's quite different i mean it's not it's not like this kind of support where i visit other factories you know we have very strong service you can also lead from the service manager then nearly then you better get him here maybe later yeah okay okay great yeah all right tony thank you very much i can already feel the power yeah that's for sure okay al now i heard about your market it's also actually i think one of the strongest markets yeah it has most of the market share and you almost have very few competition from the local suppliers here in taiwan i think your job is very easy you're the king over there no no no no no no it's not easy not easy okay so the competition you look very strong okay so our competitor is mostly competitive from japan ah so okay you have we have a funnel salt and mint beefy okay rg shami is another area okay yeah so every year we ship about 60 million six sixty six zero six oh six oh maybe small but it is not easy remember we have a competition from japan sure so people mentality mentality they they thinking they want to use the they want to buy the machine from taiwan yes the first one they are thinking about the cost cost of cost because they are thinking and then when he decides to buy the medina from taiwan they think oh my team must be have a good quality like a japanese why if you want the quantity like japanese basically why you buy machine from taiwan so most people will ask me so what but the europe matina you are nothing the difference to the machine from japan yeah i can say if the japanese marina if the quality is one hundred percent yes i say you so we compare to the japanese latina we can say 95 percent oh he said the number the actual number 95 so why we can sell about every year 16 between sometimes 65. so
