control of execution the question that i have asked is that what does control of execution management of software and hardware systems uh look here the control of management the control of execution know what our strategic goals are how do we uh first you need to know what your strategic goals are and then based on these goals you should design your iq platform how do we know what our strategy goes anybody has any anything to say is a process of moving from a flat level to a high level in project delivery so it took a wide spread in our world a wide space in our world yes i agree with you what um my question is that how do we know what our strategic goals are because of the development and technology and to short a lot of time look i know that we have the technology developed all the time but i'm not talking about the technology right now i'm talking about the business strategic goals for example the cost of project input and output i think that you're talking about the cost of productivity the skills i'm talking about the enterprises strategic goals skill structure it's me scales look let me explain a little bit uh and i hope we can make it clear here um when you run a business when you run an enterprise at first you know what your business's strategic goals are you can write them on a piece of paper as easy as that when you know what your business strategic goals are then you can design your it platform in a way that helps you reach your strategic goal this is a very very important matter sometimes we think that our it is helping us reaching our strategic goals but the thing is that your i.t although you think is helping in reaching your strategy goals sometimes it moves you away from reaching your missions and strategic goals this is uh this this can be very harmful when your i.t not only helps you reach your strategic goals but also uh pushes you away from reaching them so this is why i insist on this point so much you should design your it in such a way that it helps you reach your strategic goals and missions is it clear for everybody excuse me doctor yes you can go home that's uh i suppose you mean that we must determine the goals at first after that we be able uh to execute it step by step to reach it uh all together at at last that's your meaning by that exactly you should you should you should know what your statisticals are you should know what your missions of your enterprise or organization is and after knowing your strategic goals and missions you should design your id so that your id helps you reach your strategic look we're talking about iq planning this is one of the main issues in this uh session and all of the ea course we are going to talk about um strategic i.t planning so what are the reasons that we need strategic i.t planning what are the issues that comes forward when we're talking about strategic id planning the first issue is that we have a variety of new technologies we have a wide variety of new technologies so you have to plan what you want we have yes yes uh thank you mr ibrahim al-bahaduli if i read your name correct we have a wide variety of new technologies you need to know all the technologies you need to know you have you need to have information about these technologies and then after understanding all these new technologies you can you can choose the best technology uh for your business and for your enterprise based on your strategic goals and missions is it clear for everybody can you repeat it doctor look uh there there are a wide variety of i.t technologies this is this is clear to everybody that nowadays we have a wide variety of cycles okay so for you as somebody that is as ea specialist you should know all these technologies you should have information about all these new technologies and after studying these technologies very closely you can choose the best technology the best i.t technology based on your business missions and goals
yes exactly somebody has wrote that this development is continuous this evolution is continuous yes i completely agree with you that it technologies develop every day and minute by minute we have new technologies we have new i.t technologies and you should know all these technologies so you have to study the new technologies very closely and choose the best technology as you know in the second point of this slide it has said that we have rapid evolution of technological environments these environments um move forward very very very fast we have a very rapid evolution of these technologies so you should keep this in mind that this this evolution is very very fast and rapid foreign foreign um is foreign my marvel marijuana has said that with the first step we must work to prioritize projects and then define management yes this is completely true this is completely right i agree with you you should you should pro prioritize your projects and then you should go on managing so you should keep in mind that these technologies uh change every day one one more important thing that you should also keep in mind is that your business changes also beside the change of the technologies that we we have we have a very fast change in these technologies the business changes also can anybody mention an example that can show us how business changes excuse me doctor for example the treatment the financial treatment uh now it uh be by bitcoins not just passed by dollar or yolo or any currencies yes yes dude this this can be uh one thing that we you can mention as a business change can you mention a simpler example than can anybody mention a simple example for that that denotes business there you go uh small machine make my payments easy yes yes any any other example you have for example can you repeat please for example digital marketing digital marketing every example when i go when i go to supermarkets small machine make my payment so easy uh yes yes this is this can be an example of this change uh let me mention one example in my country that denotes business change uh a few years ago uh i'm talking about uh seven or eight years ago uh when we wanted to travel inside the city we called uh some offices we called them telephone taxes we called them and we asked for a taxi service this was the procedure of of uh transportation inside the city uh for around seven or eight years ago so you had to telephone in the office and ask for a taxi service this was uh the transportation in iraq but you see these offices have changed over time during the years this type of business has changed and now we use um taxi applications uh so you see this this is a very uh clear business change during the years we don't use the telephone taxi that i already mentioned and we use internet taxi as um all other countries around the world you have you have heard the uber application so in my country and all the countries you have something that is very similar to uber so you see uber is one example that shows business change over the years any update yet yes mr brian johnson is outside yes any update can be considered as a change is it clear um has everybody understood what i mean look here you have asked about bitcoin bitcoin can be a development in the payment so if your business has payment inside most of the businesses do have payment inside yes this can be considered one part one one one type of change in your for example in the past um unfortunately i don't have your voice at all you your voice is very low i think you should talk a government yes yes we are talking about all types of projects we are talking about all types of enterprises this is not this is not only the enter the governmental enterprises we are talking about all types of enterprises in this course um the other thing that i understood from your speech is that you said in iraq you used to transfer money by cash only now you can do it electronically and you don't need to use cash this is this is a very step by example step by step we reach to the the couch banging the cloud machine when we want to get the cache using you mean using atm and using the internet for money trust transfer this is what you need yeah okay right right okay okay that is really good thank you our sister gave by example for digital market he said she said about that about that that the digital market she mean uh about that so we might we can pay by internet exactly when you want to design an enterprise that has digital marketing inside when you want to sell something you cannot consider paying by cash because you have change in your country and you can transfer money by using the internet you can transfer money uh electronically and this is what you should consider in your business is it clear yes mr isa assadi had said that now there is a clear change in business management due to the coronavirus yes i i completely agree with you uh the coronavirus has changed everything uh especially the business types very very very important issue that you have pointed out thank you very much um russia java kazem has said that you can say that the changes that occurred in technology from mobile and net and interact with others among the changes in business yes everybody now has a mobile phone in their hand this is a very very clear change you should consider this in your business you should you should have an application for your business if you require it if you think having an application helps you reach your goals and missions said that any any update is a change yes we have already pointed this out um azer muhammad said qasim has said that changed some of the some of the routine procedures in the work of institution made us have to considered yes i'm seeing that everybody is typing some important issues in the chat section um mr marvin every project needs external cooperation from several sites to facilitate the work yes this is a very very good example um to compare the work of the institution and the extent of its development with other institutions for cooperation yes this is this is an also a good example of this now we're going to go through the fifth issue of this slide that has pointed out the optimal use of budget and financial resources look your your organization or your institute has a limited budget the budget so you have to spend your budget in such a way uh that you receive the most out of it that you you can use that budget to uh create an i.t platform that helps you the most so this budget especially in countries like iran and iraq must be managed in a good way so that you can create an id platform that is worth the price you have paid has anybody anything to say about this issue has anybody anything to say so we have to use the best of our budget you have to use the your budget in such a way that you create the best it platform according to the price you have paid this is this is one of the issues that you have to consider in strategic i.t planning now the other thing that i'm going to show you in a box is the sixth issue here that has said uh your i.t planning has to have compatibility with the latest technologies what does this mean can anybody say what this means uh it means the i.t platform or planning
is come compatibility with the modern technologies and latest thank you very much anybody else has anything to say yes as he pointed out the technology that you have planned with this budget has to have compatibility with the latest technology you cannot provide a technology that does not have compatibility with the latest technology this is also another issue that you should consider in your it strategic plan now this point or this issue here says you have to have alignment of investments with business goals look you are you are investing you are paying for your i.t platform and this payment must be in such a way must create an iq platform that helps you reach your business goals i've already mentioned that before the break that we need an itin platform that helps us reach our business goals now this event is investment must be in line with reaching our business goals is it clear to everybody does everybody understand what i'm talking about kazam has said that i repeat this issue uh look you you you are trying to provide an iq platform that helps you reach your goals we have gone through this issue times and times before the break that your i.t platform must be in line with your main goals with your uh with your um demands of the business now you you are investing you are paying money to provide the i.t platform so this investment must be in line with your business goals must be in the direction of your business business course is it clear okay now this issue that i'm putting a box around it says that you have to prioritize prioritize information system development projects you have lots of projects in your business or in your enterprise you should know which project you should conduct first and which project you should conduct second so you should prioritize your projects i think somebody has also pointed this out before the break i remember i can't remember who it was that pointed this out but i remember this was pointed out that you should prioritize
