Ladies. And gentlemen please, welcome president. Of Starkey, Hearing technologies. Brandon. Siwalik. Good. Morning Starkey. Are. You running are. You ready. Today's. The day where we stop talking, and we start doing today. Is because of you all, the work that you have done over the last 18, months the people here on the campus the people around the world thank, you for everything that made today, possible. Our. Customers, are ready for this their patients, are ready for this on behalf. Of the executive team and everybody like. To thank all the employees here like to thank all the employees watching from around the world at all of our 24, facilities, we, also have guests with us we also have customers, and we are also streaming, live on Facebook, so, the last I heard we have. Quite. A bit of people are interested, in what we have to say today but. We're gonna make this impactful, and get, to it because I tell you what when you're asked to get on a rocket you want to go on a rocket ride you don't ask what seat and, what your seat number is you get on and go right that's. Right. So. With this product we've made the impossible possible and, I always ask you know people, ask me why Starkey, and the, answer is the same it's, the people, the. Product, and our. Purpose we're, in a great industry we. Get to change people's lives right. We. Get to look ahead. And. What we do is if, you talk about you think about hearing aids we're not a hearing aid business we're in the communication, business we. Connect people with people, you. Know we bring people back to their families. Their, jobs whatever, it might be and, we. Do this the Starkey, way because, we have the patient, mind and what we do and, today. We've. Made the impossible possible. We're. Going to start looking forward. And you. Know what no boundaries our. Capacity. Capacity is limitless and. We're. Going to change the conversation on, hearing aids we're hearing aids the stigma is we're, gonna make hearing aids cool right. And. This all started with the vision from our CEO mr. Austin who's. Not here today but he will be in a second and we'll explain a little bit how and why but. It's, about better hearing it's about hearing health and wellness he, had this vision, he's. Been talking about this vision for a while, and. Over the last 18, months he's been talking with our children myself and, dr. Fabry, and many of you out here of what, we're going to do with, hearing aids and. Today. Is the first step it's just the beginning. Because. This. Is the first generation we, have the, vision has become an in reality, and the. Vision, it, continues. What. We can do now what you're going to learn about Livio. AI. It's. Going to do a lot more and. Starkey. Is the only one. Where. We've created a brand new tier of Technology, what, we call our health of all hearing, technology, and. We. Set ourselves apart from, the rest because we are focused on the patient what's. Best for the patient is best, for our customers, is best, for Starkey, right. So. As. I mentioned the vision is now the reality are you ready. Alright, let's let the Revolution, begin. This. Is the best-sounding hearing, aid ever engineered, it's the world's first hearing. Aid with artificial intelligence and, integrated, sensors. And I tell you what every rocket needs a chief scientists please welcome to the stage our chief, technology, officer, dr., Ian Bowman. Excited. I am excited all right, good. Morning Starkey. Wow. What. Do not do and. You totally deserve that we've been working so hard on this for the last year isn't. It wonderful to let it out there and get our customers and patients experiencing. As. Brandon said the vision we have and the mission we are on is amazing. Utilizing. The most advanced, technologies, but. To help humans, live, better lives what. Else can a technologist. Desire. Or, wish for you. Know I've been part of a number. Of exciting. Product launches in my career, some. Products that have gone on and created. Billions of dollars but. I can tell you this. Is the most exciting, product launch that I've been part of. So. Welcome the world's first, hell. Double hearing technology, with. Sensors, and AI, the, same technologies, that are, changing, the world from. Autonomous, cars that are driving by themselves, to. The smartphone so you cannot live without.
Technologies. That are disrupting, the world we. Utilize them to bring benefits. To the patients that have never been. Brought, to this industry so I'm really excited about this. That's. It you. Know we have been holding. A secret. Right. We've, been talking about a hearing, aid that's coming on. August, 27, that's going to change the hearing aid industry and, that. Is true, but. It's, not just one product that we, have been working on so. Quietly we have been working on multiple products, number. One. The. Best sounding, and best performing, hearing aid we have ever made. And. Let me tell you a little bit about this product so. I've been using this for a couple of months so I'll give you a normal hearing person's perspective. On, the hearing aid and. I'm wearing him down you, just take it out. Isn't. That a wonderful and beautiful product. Literally. After putting it, on and you forget that you have a device on within, five minutes or, less and you have it on all the, time you. Take the best consumer, electronics, product compared. With the ergonomics, and the design of Livio ai and you will be floored you will do not want to live without it more. Important, we. Have dual, radio platform, so, with 2.4, gigahertz power. Sipping. Bluetooth. Technology, I am, streaming my, phone calls music, to my hearing. Aids so. All day, I get a phone call I don't, have to look for my Bluetooth. Headsets right binaural, streaming. To the phone as, a normal hearing person. Stream. My TVs into it but, I'll tell you one more thing for a normal hearing person. When. You sit back in. A loud, restaurant. Having a business meeting. The ability to, increase. The volumes of the world it, makes it feel like superhuman. You're. Used to raising, the volume of the TV raising. The volume of the phone the music how, about raising the volume of the world right. It's, an amazing, product. But. That's only one of the products I have not good to say about that, our. Second product we're launching today is.
A Groundbreaking. Irritable. Body and and brain. Fitness tracker. So. Just a bit on the fitness tracking who cares about fitness here who cares over hell all. Of us do our patients, who buy our hearing aids they. Like to live a very healthy life not just hear better but live a healthier life I'll. Tell you 150. Million. Fitness. Trackers sold last year so. People care about fitness tracking, we. Have we're launching a groundbreaking. Arrabal fitness tracker but you've gone one step further, it's. Not just tracking your physical. Activities, for. The first time, we. Are allowing our patients, to. Track their cognitive, fitness that brain health, how. Cool is that. More. On that, let. Me first then talk about the, number three product we are launching today an. Incredible. Year one language. Translator how about that. In. A foreign country, do. Not speak that language no, where is this. Device is going to translate for you from, 27. Languages to any 27, language. That's, not all we. Launched in product number four today. And. That is a revolutionary. In. Ear fall, detection device. Those. Of us that have, older. Relatives at home you know how serious this problem is, people. Falling down and hurting themselves, I'll have lot more to say about that but. It's an awesome product that's going to help the. Humans. Encounter. And address. A big. Problem that they face today so. Let me quickly recap, for. Products. Number. One our best, sounding and best performing hearing it ever. Number. Two our down breaking here a bald body and brain fitness tracker. Number. Three, incredible. Here. One translator. Number. Four. Revolutionary. In. Here fall detector an alert system. So. Are you getting it. It's. Not, for. Different, products they're. Actually the same device. So. Welcome the, world's, first. Multi-purpose. Hearing aid, that's, going to do all of those things and, more. It's. A little on this business. Of multi-purpose, hearing, aid why, do you take an already, amazing product, and bother. To make it multi-purpose. Turns. Out it has been done in. The world it has created history once and. Looking. Back at the hearing its history first while. Hearing it's have been reinvented, before, over. The last 4050 years hearing, it have gone from this big ugly body, one devices to. This really amazing small, form factor devices, that. He can wear all day right. It. Has been transformed before so why do we care to. Take it another step. Because. As good as these devices have been they. Have been a single, purpose device, it. Has done only one thing for humans and that, is to amplify the sound right help people hear, better. Well. I compared. That to that, journey that phones, have gone through in, the past you, take the phones of the 50s 60s 70s the, big ugly phones and then. You it went through a mobile. Revolution, where, the phones became small and he could carry it around but. Phones didn't stop there right did. They stop it there they. Took one more step. Welcome. 2007. With. The introduction of iPhone and then. Android smartphones, to follow after that, they. Took a single, purpose device that, was extremely useful to you but, they turned it into a multi-purpose, device. Multi-purpose. What, does today's phone do. Everything. It's your phone obviously right. Beautiful, great phone, it's, your GPS device how many of you had Tom Tom or Garmin GPS. Devices. With you in your backpack, or in the car right. How many of a mini computer for looking at internet, browsing or. You. Know fitness trackers to go with you lots, of devices he used to carry no. More you just have to carry one device so. What does have. To do with the business though it's cool things nice, technologies, four, or five different things you've built into one device, what. Has that done to their business.
2007. Ended. With. 160. Million smartphones. Sold in. That year. Ten. Years that followed, it. Went to 1.6. Billion, phones, per year so. The volumes the numbers of phones that people have bought it. Went ten times, in, ten years. Hearing. Aids I think. Collectively as the entire industry, we. Are on track to sell 16, million units who. Likes to see at 10 times of the volume to change this industry. When. We. Take a device that. Is useful, and we turned that into a desirable, product that's. What it does it brings new. Customers, new patients, because it helps them go. About their daily lives and it, helps them in our case even more because it, will help them live better lives we. Expect to see the, adoption. Of hearing aids skyrocket. As Balon said this is the beginning of a revolution, in, in industry, and rightly, so that, compel, like Starkey would be doing that. So. How have we done that, it's. About utilizing technologies, that have been changing the world around ourselves as I've told you but. Never in hearing aids and those. Are sensors, nei the. First, phone. That. Went. And, integrated. An inertial. Sensor was, the iPhone no, wonder it became a multi-purpose device so. We have gone on and we have taken a deeper look at biology of. What. Makes sense in the in the context of devices. That are designed for, human. Enhancing. Human lives if. You just consider your human. Yourself. From. Like an engineer you look at the, elements, that we have in our construction. We. Have amazing sensors, one. Of them besides the eyes ears touch, smell. And taste one. Of the sensors we have in our head is the, vestibular, motion sensor it, allows us to know. Our orientations, allows. Us to navigate. The, world real-time so. We have gone and integrated. Inertial, sensors for the first time in. Our hearing aids first. In the industry. But. It's not just the sensor what. Else he's unique about humans what separates, us from rest. Of the, animal. Kingdom, is, our intelligence right. Thanks, to the cerebral cortex and our, ability, to learn and adopt we. Use human, learning and human intelligence as. Humans, what's. The Machine equivalent of that it's. The artificial, intelligence and machine learning so. We are using artificial. Intelligence for. The first time in a hearing aid in, conjunction, with the sensor I talked about to, totally transform what. Is known to be a heating it today. So. The. Best way. To explain, to you and showed show this off is, actually show you the device and do. Some live demos who'd like to see live demos. So. Please join, me in welcoming dr., David Ferrie our chief innovation, officer on, stage all. Right let's. See some demos. So. Flourish going just tell me I mean you were at Intel a long time but you never had this much fun at Intel did you well, I have to say it. Was a lot of fun at Intel as well yes but as I said it. Is something about making taking, technology to make smart machines and then we use advanced technologies, to, enhance. Human, perception, definitely. The satisfaction, level of that at, much higher level and then working on machines indeed, whoo. So. We, want to do a live demo of the app for, the first time and right. Now you're seeing the app live from my phone and first. And foremost I, just want to show the basic controls, obviously we've.
Made For iPhone we can control the, volume and adjust, the instrument, appropriately. For my level, that I want to achieve in the different listening environments, I can, tell that the hearing aids are connected, right now and where the battery levels are if the. Practitioner, has put in any manual, programs, that I would want to change to I can view all of that from the home screen but. Wait there's more so, from this then. You mentioned the Thrive score and what you can see on that home screen is my, thrive score it will vary each day from, zero to 200. Comprising. Half related, to the body. Half related, to the brain if I, drill in to the body side of this a little bit this may be for those of you who've used fitness, trackers, before this, may look familiar to, you in the sense that we're tracking the, amount of steps that I've taken every day and this will update every 20 seconds if I do a little bit more running, I can get over, my 10,000. Step, target, which I've already achieved this morning because I like to get going. In. Addition. Activity. Relates to exercise. That is more than a brisk walk and we set the default, on this for 30 minutes each day this, is customizable. By the end user if they want to challenge themselves a little more to do a little more they can set it to 45 or an hour if there's. Somebody who is physically challenged and still wants to use this that as a motivational. Tool they, can set it down lower the. Third piece move is probably, familiar to those of you who's you who've used a Fitbit, or an Apple watch and it's basically, saying that we want you to get up and move around every hour we don't want to have it concentrated, just an exercise once, a day so, each time I move, starting. This morning about 5:00 a.m. with the devices in I'll, get credit so, that's the, body, side, of the equation, something that I said may look familiar to, you but we've done something completely different, we've married, that with, the brain side, of this we. Look, at here better live better as our mantra we're, looking at the the, issues, that are facing individuals. With untreated, hearing loss in the aging population, cognitive. Decline that comes with that what, we're looking is to restore, that with, the use of hearing aids that are properly fitted to their hearing loss and that they're, using them on a daily basis and like you say people don't hear just we did yeah they hear with their brain basically. You think of the ears your touch your eyes those, are all sensors, feeding into the brain the brain is where you hear so, what we're tracking is three buckets with this in the, same way that we're looking that we want you moving around every day on the physical side we. Target, to use the hearing aids for 12 hours or more a day the. Hundred, points, that are devoted to the body side of this on the green side of this equation forty. Points of which are simply wearing, the hearing aids for 12 hours a day or, more the. Second. Opponent of that however we don't want him just wearing, their hearing aids and sitting in the dark at home we, want them to go out and engage with people in their daily lives, Otten.
Mentioned, The acoustic, classifier, this classifier, that is capable when you're wearing the hearing aids of knowing whether, speech, is present whether noise is present whether speech and noise are present, we're giving, credit, to the individual. Every, time they're in a situation, where they're listening to another human voice the, most important. Signal, that most of us will hear on a daily basis, I just want to take a moment and appreciate that. Make sure that we understand this so just like we humans, understand. Speech, and can separate that from and under sound we. Are using machine learning and artificial intelligence so, the hearing it can automatically, do that isn't, that Coakley exactly. Exactly. Machine, learning we've incorporated machine. Learning for years, already in this capacity, we've never talked about it in that sense but that's precisely what it is the. Last element, of the, brain score, is active. Listening and what we're talking about with this is we want people to wear their hearing aids we, want them to talk to other people and then, we want them to wear the hearing aids no matter where they are wear them wherever they go you'll, achieve maximum, brain stimulation, in this case when you wear them throughout the day when you're in the car when, you're at the restaurant when you're at the gym when. You're at home you'll, get credit the more active, you are by moving from one acoustic, environment, one listening, environment, to another that. Score is worth 20 points for a maximum, of a hundred today, if I go back to the base score. That. 133. Represents, a hundred and thirty-three made, up of my, body score, which is 90, and the, brain score which was a forty-three as usual. It looks like my body is more willing than my brain house you're much more today do, you oh okay, I'm still working on it so by the end of the day I don't better than nothing outside yes so, that, really. Is an industry-first in the sense of linking. Your, mind, and your. Body to hear. Better live better by linking, all of those together in one metric that will motivate people to use their hearing aids more. Right is, that cool or what. So. Besides. The coolness, of it as you know we are in the practice of medical devices so let's. Look at the, benefits of, physical. Activity, and mental activities. You, know we all take take it for granted we've been hearing all along be, active take those 10,000, steps you are 10,000. Steps what does it do what. Does 10,000, steps do so, we, wanted to go look at some data, and. I will tell you my life changed. Forever these. Are data from National. Institutes of Health and prestigious. Organizations. That have collected decades of information, to, put statistics, out there and these. Are simply benefits, of, walking. 10,000. Steps a, day this. Is not about running jogging or going to the gym to do heavy iron just. Gentle. 10000 steps of work so what does that do well.
The. First two are quite amazing in itself. 43%. Reduction in. The risk of stroke so. Who wants to walk 10,000 steps. 50%. Reduction in risk, of diabetes also make sense cardiovascular. And and, things like that but the last ones it, totally I just, yeah you're surprised how. About sixty to sixty six percent reduction. Of. Risk of getting cancer just from walking. So. It's real, health. Benefits, so, it's appropriate that we. Care about people's health that. We let, our hearing aid wearers to be, constantly, aware of their. Physical, activities as they say what. You measure you. Improve right. So, you know we need no longer have to carry around your external. Sensors, and as I said 150. Million of them are, actually selling. Every year so people do care about them right 10 times more people are buying them those than, they're buying hearing aids well. In those lines there's. A couple of other secrets, that I've been holding and I'll be announcing to you for the first time we. Haven't talked about it at all outside. So. For. The first time a, hearing. Aid has. Been integrated. With. Apple. Health. Kit such. That the local, sensor data collected, by the hearing aid is. Going to be pushed to your Apple. Health tap the. First company ever to do that. Well. I'm, sure what, if you are using Android phones right, so. How about that, well, you've also integrated. Google. Fit SDK so the, sensor locally from the hearing aid is also going to make the fitness. That are available to Google fit app how, cool is that. Gotcha. Gotcha. So. What you're saying just to make that point is that I can. Leave my phone behind when I'm wearing these device that is the beauty of it because why do you have those apps on the phone if, you rest your phone on your study. Table or kitchen table you might be taking 2,000 steps in your home but, they are not being tracked by right the phone because there's no step. Regret right regret. Yes and, with, the hearing it on you do not have to worry about where device is out because it's been constantly, measured.
In The hearing aid itself thanks. To the integration of native sensor, and the, moment you come close to your phone and pair that, data is going to be made available to, the the, Google fit and upon and no other, hearing aid company can do that this is the first-ever, in the hearing aid industry. Okay. With that. We. Have few, more things to show so let's switch back to Dave's. Phone screen and show, a couple of more exciting, demos, so. We talked about how we're monitoring, the device and giving them a brain and body score, and encouraging, that people to, wear their hearing aids in different listening environments, we, know that, the first fit of this device provides, unparalleled. Performance. In terms of sound quality and, benefits, for any product we've ever launched, we. Also know that people in, their real world and wearing them in these challenging, listening environments, may still, want, to have further refinements. We, also know that many, want. The customization. And they can do that within the app I won't show that today because it's a feature that we've had available in the past but. What we do have in this, device is something, we're called calling, hearing care anywhere, this, is an asynchronous. Telehealth, feature that. Allows the individual, who's wearing the hearing aids to go into that challenging, restaurant, where. Their instruments, see if they're performing well, see if we're exceeding, their expectations, if, we're. Not they. Can into they can indicate request. A remote fine-tuning, request that, goes to the cloud and then, the practitioner, gets a notification on, his or her computer that. There is a request that has come in at the, time that it's convenient, for them they, can make that adjustment using, the full capability. Of the software, of inspire, software, make, an adjustment send, that back to the cloud and then. As you see I've made a request here yesterday and, I, can I said I wanted, the sound, quality, for my own voice to be a little bit better when, I get back into that actual, situation. Where I was having trouble I can go and I can try the new settings, I can preview, them right there I can compare, them to the current settings choose. To put in the new settings, and then save them right there if I choose to if I want to go back to the original settings I can also leave it the way they were set up before what amazing yes you know making it easier, for people to easier. For the patient, easier. For their professional. Convenient. And this will provide. Parallel, personalization. And optimization. Compared, with what hearing aid users are used to getting out of their performance, wait the, second thing I want to show I can. Already mentioned. It but is real-time. Translation, now. Many of you that. Real-time translation, in a hearing aid I. Didn't. Start it inconceivable. They thought it was inconceivable, with all of the features that we have already it's supposed to be science fiction isn't it supposed to be science fiction science. Fiction and cross out the fiction exactly, just make it science, so. Many. Of you may not know about that I'm fluent in French and the code name for this product when it was in R&D was Paris so let's, just try it for French today auction said there's 27, languages. And we'll. We'll go with French first here. Bonjour. Como, Tali vu. Come. On you. Can do it. Yep. So. I'm not fluent in French come on you can do that's what he said let's try it again yep yep. Let's. Try it again. No, this, is right. Bonjour. Comment, allez-vous. There. We go so, I can, explain so. Let. Me just get into a 30. Seconds of Technology here what. You just saw there's. A reason why it used to be called science fiction, because. The amount of. Computation. Capabilities. And. The memory footprint, that's. Needed in order to do real-time language translation. We. Are utilizing three. Different, platforms here the. Phone as the sensor. Sorry. The the hearing it is the sensor the phone is the Gateway and the power, of server, computers, in the cloud with, gigawatts, of power consumption, and gigabytes of memories so. Sometimes. If your pipe the internet connection to the cloud, is slow it's. Going to take a little longer for that, translation to come back but. You know the way I say that is that the state of that today it, will work as good as the.
Most Famous translation, apps like Google Translate, and. It's going to get better because, the whole world is, investing. Tens of billions of dollars there and we, are partnering with the best in the world so you'll see this just, the start and it's going to get better and better. And. The. Thing that I didn't talk about is, that. There are other translation. Apps on the market but what this one does, once, it translated, that sound that I heard when I said bonjour, kamut allez-vous it translated. In English, to, say hello. How are you. Compensating. For my hearing loss so this works for people with hearing loss or with normal hearing to compensate. And to translate, into my ear the audio signal, without having to look good. So, that's. What a disruption, means right. You take a device that you always have it on why. Can't it translate, well it now it can write it's the beginning of a transformation, of the hearing aid so. With that let me switch, back to the PowerPoint slides please and I, want to talk about this is where I'm not going to do a live demo because I don't want to have, Dave fall down and hurt himself but. What I wanted to share with you is. Some, data which, propelled, us compelled, us to, work. Really hard to integrate. This function and. It turns out there. Are, fault. Detection sensors. That he can go out and buy and, in fact that market is probably bigger than hearing aid market and this. Is why. You. Look at the statistics, is quite shocking. Every. 11, seconds in, the u.s. not, worldwide, and all. The adult is. Falling, down hurting, and getting treated in the emergency every. 11 seconds, not, counting people. That have fallen down and didn't get hurt or have, fallen down and didn't go to the emergency room but, people every. 11 second one person is being treated in. The emergency, room for fall relative injuries. More. Shocking every. 19, minutes every. 19 minutes one of them is dying. And. In fact I don't have something. On the slides here but I'm gonna tell you it's even more shocking. Older. Adults that have. A fall relative injury and go, to the emergency rooms. 50%. Of them die within, a year. It's. A calamity it's, a big health. Problem, for the society, in. 2015. The, cost to US economy, alone was. 50, billion, dollars projected. To be sixty seven point seven billion dollars, well. So some innovative, company, had. To step up and. Take care of this problem, we're. Going to do that for, our patients, who buy our hearing aids. The. Product we are shipping today video. AI has, all of the hardware sensors and hardware. Capabilities, necessary for fall detection we're. Going to make an app, update. Coming, soon because. We are going through an external validation right now and I can share with you the results are quite amazing, we. Are getting better results than the most successful, fall. Detection sensors, that people buy outside, hearing. It itself is going to do that. And. You can see the market is there people need it right, so it's going to be transformative, for the, hearing aid industry I cannot. Wait for for, this to be in the hands of our customers so. Is that all day Nautica. There's one more thing one more thing so turns out all, of these amazing features we talked about there is, one more thing and. Let, me just set the context for that it's. About, human. Machine interface, how. Does a human interact. With the device. It. Sounds simple but it's. A combination of science technology. And, art. When. You want to deal with user interface. To. Do just, to look at history how. Did you interface with computers, decades ago it was keyboard you had to type something for, that machine to understand. Then. Late. 70s early 80s came, the mouse he. Could just move that thing anywhere on the screen and click right, and, voila. The PC was born personal computer because, it was easy to for, people to use what. Was the next one. Touchscreen. It's, even easier you just start around right you don't even have to look, for your mouse on keyboard well. It's time that. An innovative. Hearing. Aid company steps up and says, you, know you shouldn't have to always, fidget. With the buttons. Or. Look for that remote control. Or. Pull. Out the app there. Must be better ways of talking. To my Oh interacting with my device, so. The that, innovative company is Starkey. So. With the built-in sensor in there in, fact you, know if I just simply reach out and tap. Anywhere on my L anywhere I don't have to worry about in, a specific spot just Stephanie we're with almost, 100%, accuracy.
Detects It now, what do we do with that so. I would like Dave to explain a couple, of things we can do with that that would be really amazing for our users so. A couple things we can do with this we happen, to also have launched on this product a very, innovative, multifunction. Accessory. In terms of a remote control, microphone, so. Let's. Say Achin and I went to dinner and we, were in a restaurant and we wanted to use the multifunction accessory. This remote. Microphone would work in a crowded environment, or in a classroom in other words if I from someone else I talk to it you hear did well absolutely, perfectly right up to the air streams right to my hearing aids but there are situations, if we're in the restaurant where, let's say the server comes and wants to take our order whereas, I'm getting the microphone from here and I've turned off the environmental. I can, use this, use. This gesture this natural, human gesture to turn on or turn off, the. Microphone by, simply tapping on the side of my head many, times right. Just. Tap like that get. Away from issues, where people have manual dexterity issues, arthritis. Neuropathy, many. Times in the past I'd be in a noisy situation go like this I only go like this on the side engage. Or disengage the, other thing we introduced, and I just happen to have it in my pocket as well is a TV listening device who, knew huh yeah yeah you. Mentioned that with streaming, television that. You could have this hooked up to your TV and then again what. Will happen is the audio, from the TV set will stream directly to my hearing instruments, but that natural. User interface, can be used if someone comes in the room and I'm engrossed in a movie or my latest Netflix, show, I can, tap. Some I can tap to pause the, streaming and then when that person leaves, or when we're finished with our conversation tap. Again the stream starts again how about that. No. That's great in, fact you, know I talked with some of the patients, there's. A number of things in there and you, know if you just give people a choice you. Could buy this hearing aid or you could buy that hearing aid and you.
Know Both are pretty good sound quality it's, sound. Quality is a metric that very difficult to quantify by normal people so that sounds good this sounds good ah so. This one if. I'm listening to the TV I don't need to look, for remote control or feature to the button I just do this and stops I'll, buy that well. It's not one thing, some. People will buy it because they. Care about quantify. Itself I want. To know my fitness. Tracking body. Fitness tracking brain fitness tracking well, this hearing it does it I'm going to get that not this well. Some, people may not care about fitness tracking that much but worried about falling down and hurting what. If and hearing. It this one automatically. Detects Falls and, notifies. People versus this one doesn't so dump hearing. Aid which one would I buy right, well. It, doesn't Apple, the Apple to you but you like to travel you're, in in, Beijing, looking at the Great Wall of China or, you're in Mexico and this deeper hearing aid translates. For you and the other one doesn't so. There is it and then the number of things right, that's the power of a disruption. You make it multi-purpose, get people many reasons to, prefer our device, over. Something else and help leave to help them live better lives so. With that this. Is the summary it's. Not one thing I do want to emphasize though, sometimes. When, you're bringing in many, goodness. You. Know it might, get confusing, make, no mistake, in. Terms of sound quality and, performance this. Is the best hearing aid we have ever made, the, best-in-class. Plus. Amazing. Telehealth capability, the, Dave show that enhances. People's. Experience, in. Feeling, adjusting, their hearing aid in real world environments. To, using the power of cloud AI and machine learning for some, of the amazing features that I showed you today to. Helping. People detect Falls this.
Is A game-changer, I'm, pretty sure we're going to look back at this day each one of us, we're. Going to say that. Day, August. 27. We. Started changing the entire industry. So. Please, thank. You very much, for. All of the hard. Work the dedication that. Went in to develop the next product that was would. Have been considered impossible, a year ago we have delivered in the market and thank, you in advance so. Amazing, cells and marketing people. Working, with our customers, to bring these amazing benefits to our patients to, change this industry forever thank, you very much enjoy. And. Such and. So. Hodgins. New to our company and new to our industry and aren't we damn glad to have them. So. There's a bunch of people people, people watching on the livestream there's a bunch of people wearing t-shirts here that say how do you thrive, this. Is my 35th, year as an audiologist and. Never. Have, I seen a product like this in the market I am, inspired, to thrive is my answer to that question my. My, role, as an audiologist and inspire is our fitting software, shows. Me the convenience, that the first fit is right right, away for patients and then, the confidence, that I have in convenience. To be able to use remote fine tuning, to stay in touch with my patients, to increase that bond with me when. I work when I hear clinicians, who are saying they're worried about big box this. Remains, in a way, for them to remain, in contact directly. With their patients, after. The initial fitting and ongoing into the future and then on the patient side like ouch and I've been wearing these devices, for at least a couple months and although, my might my wife might beg to differ I think, I have pretty normal hearing she's, found that I have benefited a lot from these devices, but, the, issue if the anagen mentioned, gamification. If there's one person that responds to gamification. It's me each. Day I get up wanting, to increase. My brain and my body score a little bit from the previous one and that convenience. Of being able to look at the app control, and be able to reach my professional, when, I'm. Having, difficulties, that, is unparalleled. Confidence. And comfort in technology, so I'm inspired, to thrive on a daily basis by this product and I can't wait for everyone out there to experience it as well. So. You. Might know a lot, of excitement around here today but there is there, are a couple things that are missing a. Couple. Very important, things to us and. That. Is Bill, and tani Austin they. Wanted to be here with us today but they're both doing what they really love to do they're fitting hearing aids. Giving. The gift of hearing to people in Madagascar. But, they did want to be here with us and we've got them on a Skype call right now.

Healthier. Perform. Two tasks better they're, really brain assistants and that. Was their that was the vision that, we wouldn't be selling, hearing aids in the future which is now that we, would be helping people. Have. Better lives, by. Giving. Better inputs, to. Our our personal. Computer, our brain you've. Done a wonderful job I'm. So, proud of all of you I'm so. Excited can't wait to get back to the classes, and, well. We've been traveling, and. There's. Two things that are important, to us it's the technology it's, the future it's bringing better, and better help to people but, the other is not leaving, anyone behind and, being, helped up being able to help those that have less, than nothing have a chance to be part of life mrs., Austin, thank, you each and every one of you, everywhere thank you so much for being a starting, team and we're, looking forward to creating.
