we're on temu the land of ridiculously cheap Tech some of it useful some of it Highly Questionable but in a world where our privacy is under constant threat from governments demanding back doors and encryption to something as simple as a USB cable logging our keystrokes just maybe some of these gadgets can actually help today we're testing a lineup of privacy gadgets each making Wilder claims than the last and I'll be scoring each of them on Effectiveness value value and sketchiness so you don't have to can these budget friendly tools actually protect us against modern surveillance let's find out first up this is the 3in1 Precision EMF detector electromagnetic field tester with 3.5 digigit display battery operated ideal for home use and Industrial use so it's basically an EMF detector uh looks like it has a couple different functions and this ran us at $102 so not bad for Price the reviews are looking pretty good it has a solid 4.7 with about 800 reviews and a lot of these are coming from the states so this looks pretty promising so I see magnetic field electric field and temperature which doesn't one of these things one of these things are not quite like the other I don't know what temperature has to do with anything else um because the idea of this thing would be able to basically pick up on uh nefarious let's see Wild application electric fan TV microwave computer oh my God is this really electric fan like so there's like a Korean Superstition that fans can make you sick or something like that and I'm just wondering if that has anything to do with that um we'll have to look into that I'm not sure about that but like what is this thing actually supposed to do the living environment is full of radiation take measurements L the the phrases take measures but it measurement oh God take measurements to know your radiation levels and keep you and your family healthy that is true a lot of our devices give off radiation uh but it's on a wave that's not supposed to be harmful there's not a lot of evidence that it's harmful at least in the material way so it's got a front sensing area LCD display different mode buttons that all looks good uh I don't know I guess you're just supposed to like detect levels of radiation and then I don't know throw out your microwave or something like that um but I am curious like I have so many different devices GPS radios Laura WiFi I am curious if this can give us a good read on those um so let's check out some of these reviews here for only 16 cents as a deal wouldn't pay full price though temu items keep going going up and quality down all right let's take a look at some of the reviews so accurate and easy to use would get another this EMF meter is awesome and the price is unbeatable I checked it out all over my house and I recommend you not standing in front of the micro rot wave when it's on this thing works great I don't I don't know what don't stand in front of the microwave again that's more like lore about um Superstition okay a neat little device that is very interesting to use and see exactly how much electromagnetic energy is emitted from your home devices and how much EMF you are really being exposed to daily it's scary to see how much EMF radiation and M magnetic fields you are surrounded by in your home and your electronics you use constantly I would highly recommend this item to everyone who's interested yada yada okay so it's interesting I live in a high-rise apartment building everyone has their own Wi-Fi network work and I actually am kind of concerned with levels of radiation I I don't think it's super negatively impacting but I do think it could impact things like sleep and uh stuff like that and then real quick I just want to address the fact that I know the new Administration has introduced tariffs with China and people are wondering how that's going to affect Ecom stores like temu and I just wanted to say that I don't know if there's loopholes or ways they can work around it but I do know that I literally just bought five smartphones off temu and it ran me about $250 which is like nothing so the insanely cheap prices are still there and what was interesting is the phones came from uh California actually so I think what might be happening is temu is mass shipping into the states and then actually sending you the product from local distributors in the states as a kind of workaround so anyways I just want to confirm that the prices are still super low so this thing looks pretty cool um the packaging I've seen better packaging but you know what at the end of the day packaging is not what's important let's see what we got here so okay we have a little user manual I can appreciate that um it looks like it does not come with batteries so we're going to have to go grab some um but otherwise this thing looks pretty cool I think there's plastic on the yep all right so now we're looking much better EMF tester electromagnetic field um so it looks like it takes aaa's so let me grab some aaa's real quick okay let's grab some of these guys Triple [Music] A's all right should be in business and I see the screen coming on looks good okay so we have a power button power button Works um we have different modes here so let's see I'm just going to toggle through the modes all right we have temperature I don't know why temperature is on this thing um uh we have oh this is cool so you can do um so you can light up the screen if you need ooh I don't know what that was again I live in a high-rise building and there's literally like 30 Wi-Fi networks where I live so this thing might go a little Haywire um it's saying harmful harmful amounts of radiation so that's promising um so it definitely picks up on it it needs to be close but it's picking up but my question is like what exactly what exactly is it picking up on okay so I actually did a little bit more research on this guy and what it actually can do so EMF encompasses a wide spectrum and it goes from low frequency to high frequency low frequency is things like magnetic fields or um uh voltage and power and appliances and stuff like that and high frequency would be things like WiFi Bluetooth cell towers and stuff like that so this guy does not measure high frequency so it's not going to get uh ionizing radiation like x-rays gamma rays or nuclear radiation nor is it going to get Wi-Fi Bluetooth stuff like that but it is going to get low frequency which includes things like magnetic and electric fields from power lines and applian and things like that so um so that's good to know and um so basically it's more for tracking power sources and things like that so if we wanted to do debugging of wiring or um uh electrical utility boxes or Outlets or appliances where there might be leakage or circuit boards and stuff like that uh then this is uh more appropriate for that but it doesn't detect um radio frequencies from like Wi-Fi and stuff like that um but that being said let's give this a uh let's give this a go and see what it can uh do for us um so just right off the bat I noticed that it does alarm anytime it goes near something electrical so like for instance if I just put it near my computer it goes off um but it also uh does some interesting things so let me grab my [Music] camera so this Outlet right here um all right so there's no like radio frequency coming out of this but there is an outlet and if I take this and I put it right here it does detect it so clearly it is working now what you'd actually use this for um I don't know you could check like wiring in a wall um you can see if there's like leakage with certain appliances let's try some other appliances the in Infamous uh microwave that everyone thinks is going to cause cancer if you stand in front of that's interesting look at that and then if we turn it off immediately it stops [Music] [Music] and then we got to real quick check the other modes so there's the temperature here and 78° is actually off a little bit I'm not sure if there's a calibration needed but it's more like 74° here so not quite on point there okay so this thing does deliver on um it stated use cases I kind of uh it's mostly user error but I actually thought this was going to be able to detect uh uh high frequency radio signals like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and stuff like that um but it does do what it says it can do with temperature and uh electromagnetic fields from low frequency uh radiation so and it works pretty reliably uh you can see in front of my microwave the power strip stuff like that so for Effectiveness I don't see a ton of uh like real world use cases like I don't see a ton of real world utility for this thing I mean unless like you're in the field where you're working with uh electrical circuits and stuff like that but even then you probably have better devices at your disposal I did see some people use it for like Paranormal Activity tracking which um I don't know like it does actually detect those low frequency radios so if you think that's correlated with uh uh the undead or whatever then um more power to you so for effectiveness um I'm going to give it a we'll give it a five out of five for Value uh since it was just over $10 I'll give it a five out of five and for sketchiness SL trustworthiness I don't think there's any real issues with this device so I'm going to go ahead and give it a five out of five as well okay next up is the USB data blocker for 2.0 and 3.0 privacy protection plug andplay
device charger with charging only cable management and this is kind of an omnipresent concern which is that you know we buy cables from uh you know China and other countries and they we we've actually seen examples where the cables themselves have like Wi-Fi networks and those cables can lead to like various um hacking vectors so um I believe what this is supposed to do is it only provides a charge and it makes it makes sure that no data can be transmitted so there's different wires within a USB cable there's data power and uh I think there's a third one a ground maybe or something but um so this one just makes sure that there's no data transmission only Power so the idea is it can uh keep your device uh a little bit more safe in that sense which is nice and uh the price is certainly right here so this guy went for 250 so pretty cheap um let's see here so you basically plug it into your computer and then you use the cable that that you're not sure about and this will enforce uh that no data is sent back and forth so this is actually a nice little thing to have um it looks like it supports USB 2.0 and 3.0 although that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense because those relate to data speeds I believe uh not not charging speeds but um anyways it's going to be compatible with uh any usba it looks like um so let's check out some of the reviews 4.9 is really strong so there's a good chance this actually delivers so uh we have some reviews here they're coming in from the states good quality product good quality product see what else we got here um see if anyone left any more details this guy put a picture in there looks good haven't tested it yet but looks in order I don't know why you'd leave a review before testing it but you're eager and I appreciate that um all right let's see if there's a manual for this guy so we got some pictures that looks good but do we have a user manual okay so I don't see a user manual we're going to have to just go ahead and give this guy a shot boom so we have our USB blocker right here from China um all right well let's crack into it so going okay that um okay okay so um first off it's really cool looking um this is a real metal housing here okay so I'm going to use this guy as our example here so this is a metastic radio but it doesn't have any battery so to turn it on you have to plug plug in a USBC and that USBC needs to be able to provide Power but it's also how you transmit data so if I wanted to update the firmware on this thing I do it through the USBC or if I just want to connect to the serial terminal to monitor the logs and the output I do it through USBC so in a traditional setting if I were to plug a uh USB cable that provides both power and data then what's going to happen is this guy is going to turn on so it's loading up mesh tastic which is the firmware so it's getting power we know that because again there's no battery in here but if we then want to uh validate that we're able to transmit data we can go over to uh flasher mc.org
and we could just open a Serial monitor we'll select our um our Port here and it should start Lo logging things and you can see right here it's logging data so obviously data is going back and forth in addition to power um and so what I'm going to do is I'm actually going to disconnect this so now the power dies the serial terminal dies and we're going to plop this little guy on and the expectation here would be that um we expect this to turn on because it we we expect it to still deliver power but we expect to not be able to open a Serial terminal or Flash new firmware do any sort of data transmission so let's go ahead and give that a shot so I have my adapter on here and I'm plugging it in okay so it looks like power is definitely coming through but if I go over my computer here and I do open serial monitor none of the ports are open so there's no seral data port for me to address to um either put new firmware on it or um log output so this little guy is doing exactly uh what it says it would do and um I actually think there's a lot of utility with this particularly in scenarios like you know how you go to an airport and there's like USB drives all over the place or you know maybe you go to a Starbucks or any sort of like communal public uh ports you put it on um to make sure you're protect against anything that you don't want to get through and so this is actually a trusty little device and I would keep this with me I mean the software with most devices is pretty good that it's it's going to notify you if data is being uh sent back and forth but it's probably better to block it at the hardware level um so that the the software just can't do it exploit or or otherwise um so for Effectiveness uh five stars um for trustworthiness SL sketchiness um I feel pretty good about this so I'm going to give it five stars and for Value I mean it doesn't get any cheaper than this so I'm also going to give it five stars okay next up is the parabolic microphone monocular I'm sorry not a binocular a monocular X8 bionic ear amplifier long range Record 12 seconds seconds of wildlife sound with digital recording chip bird listening telescope for outdoor hunting bird watching camping portable sound magnification so basically this device is an antenna and whatever you point it at it magnifies the sound you put the headphones on and you can hear conversations from afar perfect for CIA agents or bird watching enthusiasts okay recording playing function 3 3.5 mm headphone jack sound adjustment switch wild range of application I'm going to be shocked if this thing can actually deliver but it has 4.7 for reviews which is kind of crazy let's check out some of these reviews here so John power in the United States says 100% really love it my father uses it as his hearing aid and swears by it conventional AIDS just didn't seem to work for him so I figured I'd buy this and give it a shot so glad thank you so apparently his father is just walking around like pointing this at people just 24/7 okay so uh Anonymous says you can listen to birds like far away and you can record them yourself and all kind things you get headphones and owner manual and WIP cloth so you can clean it and so far it has been a great product I'm satisfied with it I give it five stars and if anybody wants to buy it it is well worth it it has a volume level so you can really hear the birds this dude took it apart I can appreciate that okay Douglas Hoover in the US said this listening device is one of the most remarkable products I have ever tested it's like being hard of hearing and then all of a sudden experiencing what it is like to have hearing aids for the first time only this is Way Beyond what you could imagine you could possibly hear by using this device all I can say is wow that's quite the endorsement so uh this is looking pretty promising so this guy went for 2950 29 so this guy goes for $29.59 but it is a bestseller and I am very eager to try this out boom okay next up is the nature observing recording and Playback dish also called the parabolic microphone monocular got to love the um the image on this with the guy in his leather jacket um who knows who he's spying on probably animals or Ex-Wives I'm not sure but anyways uh this thing looks super interesting so let's just get into it okay so we got a pair of headphones all right so uh 3.5 mm
Jack um let's see also e inch I think it's called oops okay so we got our headphones let's put these on for um full effect ooh okay so we have our monocular we have our monocular that was just a white pad this thing is so crazy looking I hope YouTube doesn't flag this as like something anyways this thing is so crazy looking you can see it has this high to low knob I mean the aesthetic is just pristine oh my God this thing is cool all right okay that's the dish and this is our instruction manual so let's Mount the dish so this has got to go in like this and then like that and then like oops okay we're in business so that's to like funnel the sound I guess I not 100% sure on that um okay so it looks like we're have to throw some batteries in this guy if I'm not mistaken um let's see [Applause] electronic ooh it takes a 9vt all right let me see if we got one of those okay so we got that back all right so I think we just need to plug this and I'm going to put the headphones on I don't think there's any why do I feel like this is going to like blow my eardrums um okay I'm going to put it on low cuz mostly cuz I'm afraid oh interesting okay so you hold the button you hold you hold the button you hold oh my God oh my God it actually really works holy moly all right so this is with uh basically it's it's it's not on at all right it's not on at all it is pointed towards me right because that you need to point it towards the sound oh my God how does this do that like no it really it really does holy crap I have to show you guys this um but can this work out doors so I'm a little bit curious about this so let's see what we can do can you see the guy guy oh yeah okay so I'm super impressed with this guy I could hear people like swimming in the pool uh from my balcony which is crazy and it's very um it's very like omnidirectional whatever you point at and it really does amplify and you can hear so I'm very impressed with it I'm going to give it five stars for Effectiveness for price I mean this guy was $29.59 so you know a little bit more expensive I'm going to give it four stars on uh value and then for trustworthiness SL sketchiness uh I'll give it five stars cuz I'm not as concerned about this it's mostly like the computer tech that has issues with that so this is a pretty good find there's a little issue here where like the battery doesn't quite fit but I was able to get that in um yeah I don't know this is a really cool device I didn't know things like this existed so pretty impressed with this oo I'm excited about this one okay so this is the mini GPS locator magnetic car GPS tracking device wireless GPS tracker requires activated SIM for vehicles Elderly Care and personal safety so car check dog check infant check grandma double check so this is a cool device it's really small um apparently it has a GPS receiver in it and the thing is even if it has the GPS receiver that means it can it can ascertain coordinates but how do you get those coordinates back to some sort of like mission control like your phone or your computer you know your laptop or your house right so that's where it needs cellular it has to then take those coordinates and be able to get them back to use somehow I don't know how they would have gotten the cell stuff to work so I don't know about this one if it can deliver though at this price $18.10 that's pretty interesting it only has seven reviews so and let's see the reviews yeah no did not come with SIM card why all right so so it has a Lio battery has USB charging rechargeable battery makes sense makes sense I love that car with the Dodge symbol on it totally not AI generated and that's the thing it has a magnet so you can like just discreetly pop it under someone's car and now you know where they are and then you can create an electronic fence we call them Geo fences around here let's see all right let's take a look at the manual of this thing so powerful magnet attach the GPS to the bottom of the vehicle cool cool cool ooh that was it for the manual so this is feeling a little suspect GPS car locator instr instruction manual it's like literally just how to like how to create an electronic shock between the device and the car but anyway um I'm more Curious how to do the SIM card thing like that's not easy to activate a SIM card and all that stuff like SIM cards require monthly subscriptions so like I I don't see how this thing can deliver $18.10 I don't know we'll pop it open and see if it even has like one/ tenth of the hardware needed to do half the stuff it claims it can do yeah so this is a little tracking device that you're supposed to be able to uh put on the underskirt of a car and you're tracking it I don't see how this is possible because even if it has a a GPS locator how does that then get the the the GPS data back to your phone it seems like you would need like a a cellular um Gateway there so I'm a little confused already um this thing went for $18.10 which is you know a decent price not uh shockingly low but um pretty low it says silicon and Technology to lead the future they spell future wrong Silicon Valley technology and stable quality uh I'm pretty confident Silicon Valley had nothing to do with this and shenzen did so we'll see uh let's go ahead and open this guy up so we have a user manual we have a probably USB to uh micro USB uh cable connector here quality actually seems pretty good um and then we have our GF 22 so uh the profile is quite impressive it's like a little brick you have a button here it says SOS which is interesting um you have a barcode and you have the uh micro USB connection so let's take a gander at the user manual okay so there's an app so we're going to want to download this ah and now I see some details around the SIM card please purchase a phone card that supports GPRS GSM please refer to the following figure for the size and style of the SIM card so it's looking for a standard card not a micro oh sorry no it's looking for a nano SIM card that supports GPRS or GSM I'm not sure I have one of those so that was the kind of gotcha here and now I see it says requires activated SIM card I was going to say I don't know how this is possible but so so okay so it has a GPS module that makes sense um it has an app so the app does rely on a cellular network and that's where the SIM card comes in we're going to have to figure out how easy it is to get one of those SIM cards okay so it looks like this little guy needs a SIM card which is kind of a big gotcha but it makes sense because um it probably has a GPS receiver on it but to get that data back to you and your phone it needs a network to do that so I uh didn't it doesn't come with a SIM card but it just so happens that I've been doing a ton recently with uh cellular modems um for instance this guy here on something like one of these a Raspberry Pi I've also been getting into a couple different MCU um that have uh iot cellular modems and things like that anyways I have some spare SIM cards lying around so I'm going to go ahead and see if I can't get one of these to work with this so that's the plan okay so the GF 22 I am not able to get working right now it looks like the app is actually down um but everything else looks in order it has a uh SIM card slot I see the GPS receiver so like in theory it could work it was booting up too okay so the gf2 2 GPS tracker I feel like the jury's still out on this I don't it's just the software that they appear to no longer support everything all the workings and um everything that's needed to make this work appears to be present it's just the the application um doesn't work and I can't get a hold of it so Effectiveness I'm going to give it still one star because all the hardware is there it just needs software to make it all work um for Value again I'm going to have to give it one star cuz it just doesn't deliver it doesn't work um price wasn't bad but like until this until we can get software to make this thing work one star um and then sketchiness or trustworthiness um yeah I don't know about that either CU you don't even know what cell towers it uses with the uh with the SIM card and the and the cellular service and all that so we're going to give it a one star for that as well so I don't know I'm going to come back to this maybe I can upcycle this and make it work but uh out of the box and as it was delivered to me no bueno okay next up is the Easter car license plate black silicon license plate frames Universal US Car license plate covers for us Universal license car license plate okay just trying to keyword stuff and I can appreciate that the gist of this product is um we have so much automation now with tolls and uh enforcing speed regulations and stuff like that and it's all based on computer vision and cameras and they just look up your license plate and then they know exactly who you are or if you're trying to flee from law enforcement um you uh may want to be able to Shield or protect or keep private your license plate or change your license plate or block your license plate in certain instances and this is a remote control Shield that allows you to cover so you could be like driving through the toll you press the button it covers your license plate and then they can't find you so I'm pretty sure actually using one of these things in practice is legal but I don't think there's any problem with just owning something like this and just playing around with it uh it definitely has a use case right so uh in certain cases um you could flip out and we've seen it in movies like those James Bond movies or the Italian in job movies where you know they flip the license plate and then all of a sudden uh they're not running from the law all right so let's see here so you have a keypad you have a key remote um and you can put it right on your car you put the license plate in there and then it looks like you're able to press the button and it will just close it's not afraid of heat and cold that's a interesting way to put it um wide application so you could use it on trucks vans SUV sedans what else here um I'm really curious how this works so this is going to be a really interesting one and I even got some faux license plates here that we will be able to uh use um this one's really cool I mean the idea here is like everything's automated now like tolls and uh tickets and stuff like that um I know my partner frequently gets letters in the mail uh for speeding and we have to pay those so um you know in those situations when you're passing through a toll when you're trying to uh outrun the law and you're a fugitive um the idea here is uh you can like kind of click a button and it just covers your license plate so people can't track you so obviously highly legal but um that uh you know just to play around with and as kind of uh you know uh as a fun exercise um it's super interesting so we have some fake license plates here but let's go ahead and pop this guy open so um all right so we have some of these cables these are interesting connectors um I don't see these very often um little foreign to me but um I'm sure they'll work so this guy looks like it goes into into the um into the uh cigarette lighter thing I don't even know if cars have those anymore I think they do um and then we have some male female connectors here and then this guy I think this like tells tells us if it's like up or down or something um and then we have a little uh key fob here um so we have this little guy and we have okay and then we have this sort of Landing Bay here that has a connector for everything um interesting so I'm not quite sure how this works we're going have to see here um we have our screws what else okay so we have the actual o this is nice this is like straight metal so how does this thing actually work um the thing is there aren't any instructions in this bad boy so we're going to have to play it by ear here so let me just [Applause] dou all right so this would go something like that I take it and then it's like that which is all well and good but then how does it okay we have some instructions here setting up the product involves threading and securing wires it's advisable to seek Professional installation at an auto repair shop a green indicator on the controller signifies standard mode while a red indicator denotes back blockage mode Please be aware of minor color variations due to lighting during photography and possible error of a couple centimet ensure you're okay with this before placing your order all right so let's bring it out there and give it a shot okay so I um I hijacked my girlfriend's uh car here and we're going to see if we can just get the U basic functionality of this thing working so I have the license plate um I have my center console I think it's going to go into there yep 12 Vols so let's see uh if this works here so let me situate this camera [Music] first oh I mean maybe when I bring the remote into the mix it'll help things so let's give that a shot so I'm going to put this over here for now okay this little guy is what we forgot I just need to see if I need to put batteries in here okay um looks like ooh but oh no it has power all right cool I think we're good and uh you got to love this okay we're back in business um except now we have a little uh key f thing so the way it works is I believe you can now control it so um yeah I believe you can now control it with this yep look at that oh it's upside down all we'd have to do now is to install this the only thing I don't know is how you route this cable so let's go take a look at that okay so we have everything working uh here in the car but I just need to mount it to the um to the license plate panel back there and then feed the run the wire up to the uh 12vt console up here so that's what we're working on right now [Music] [Music] so this is just a example setup you would want to get this more proper in real life but for now I think we're okay all right um okay and then this guy comes through here and then it goes back into here okay and then this can go back into here so we have our license plate right here let's see if we can't get it to close ooh [Music] [Music] [Music] okay so the license plate cover this guy worked incredibly well I had no issue um you have some bells and whistles like this remote that you can just click um it worked just fine with um with our SUV okay I'm going to give this five stars for Effectiveness because everything worked well and it even went over and above what I expected in many cases for price though it did come in at a little bit over $40 USD so so I'm going to give it four out of five stars on price and value and then finally for the trustworthiness SL sketchiness Factor um there's really no Vector here for them to kind of uh do anything uh you know sketchy or what have you so uh I'm going to go ahead and give it five stars on that front as well and yeah overall this is a really cool product it works um probably not legal in most countries um by most standards but um you know if it's a prop plate or something like that then you are able to do whatever you want and that's what this is so just a hypothetical uh demonstration here okay next up four packs fireproof and waterproof Faraday cage Faraday bags for car keys and phones and tablets and laptops anti-tracking RFID bags case so essentially it's a pack of four uh various sized Faraday bags the idea behind Faraday material is that it blocks EMF signals so wireless cellular Bluetooth GPS all this stuff it should be able to block so there's some interesting use cases there where you might want to like put something into a faraday cage so that you're no longer being tracked even if you think you are being tracked yeah you can see it it invokes that sort of ominous uh hacking image right there but the thing is do they really work because sometimes the signals still get through so let's take a look at the reviews here I actually believe decent work I just got it for fun but I tested it out with my phone and iPad and it worked nothing got through at all you just have to make sure your phone or whatever device in the bag is closed beforehand but it's amazing works like it's supposed to 10 out of 10 all right so looking pretty good so far uh so you could fit your phone in some your keys in some and your laptops in others okay but it's also fire and waterproof so it's kind of like a burn bag or a bugout bag but we should be able to just run a couple tests and and see like if the wireless signal is getting through or Bluetooth and that sort of thing and uh see if these things actually deliver so so the whole lot set me back $19.54 but I am hopeful with the 4.9
star review I'm hopeful that these are actually going to deliver let's take a look oo paraday bags which I think are very interesting just from a physics standpoint uh they're supposed to block any sort of um EMF or any sort of wireless communication so GPS cellular Bluetooth Laura whatever the protocol is these guys should block it and the idea is I guess if you wanted to make sure someone wasn't being tracked you could throw their phone into one of these things and then suddenly they're kind of like Off the Grid or untraceable so definitely has a utility and I want to see how well they work okay so you can see the lining on this is made out of that special Faraday material and um so there's a number of different ways we can test this um we can use like a GPS tester let's see what these oh this one's intense okay so we have like different form factors here right this is for like this is this is for mobile who knows what but um uh let's see here right and then you well I don't know how I guess you do it like that yeah okay something like that so you roll it up and put it in there uh you got a slightly bigger one here that's cool and then I guess um this guy would be more for like a laptop or something um but they're all lined with that it looks kind of beige or bronze that sort of um material that uh the Faraday material that blocks the EMF so now all we have to do is test these out okay so this was 1954 and we got four Faraday bags for Keys phones tablets laptops they're anti-tracking fireproof waterproof Faraday cages with RFID blocking pouches so these are kind of like bugout bags if you need um you can put all your stuff in here and uh it's going to be it's going to take you off the grid all right so remember these guys the idea behind this was uh this connects to your phone using bluetooth but when it leaves the uh local vicinity of your phone when it leaves the range it starts beeping so I'm wondering if we could set that up but put it into one of these and see if it dis disconnects the signal and then starts beeping on my phone so that's going to be the test let's give it a shot so let's get one of these going again I had to take it apart cuz I wanted to make sure it wasn't tracking my every move so let's put the board back in on one of these guys so something like that pop this back in I think that's right and then let's see if we can okay so okay let's get it connected to the phone okay so the app we care about here is called I searching it says Bluetooth is not turned on let's go ahead and turn that on okay all right and just to prove that it is connected we're going to turn on the alarm turn off the alarm and here's the deal so um alarm when Bluetooth is disconnected so again I'm going to put it in the bag and I expect the Bluetooth okay so the test is when the Bluetooth disconnects the alarm goes off so if I put it in the bag and theoretically it's going to disrupt or disconnect the Bluetooth signal then the alarm should start going off so I'm going to take this Faraday bag right here and again you can see it's lined with the special Faraday mesh and we're just going to drop it in there ooh so a popup came up and it says chippy is disconnect and there it goes very interesting now what happens when we take it out [Music] ooh okay so it seems to work that's pretty crazy because these are in very close proximity and um let's test it again with one of these smaller bags didn't mean to do that um okay so let's test it again with this smaller bag just to prove out that it is in fact working so again it recognizes the chip right now but if we put it in here okay it says it's disconnected and now the alarm goes off cuz it's out of range so so far the um the Faraday bags are working great and now the alarm's off because it's connected again they're working great for Bluetooth but what about other EMF modalities like wifi or GPS let's give those a shot as well okay so I have my iPhone here and I want to test how these things Faire when trying to use uh find my iPhone so I have that open here and if I go to uh one of my devices here let's see then I should be able to play an audible sound to help uh help me find my device so I'm just going to prove that out by clicking play sound here okay works as expected go ahead and turn that off and now we're going to put it into one of the Faraday bags and see how well it blocks that signal so I'm going to go to so I'm going to put this this in like that fold this over and then I'm going to click the same place sound button let's see if it can get through so it looks like now it's actually having trouble connecting which is kind of what we would expect so by now it should be playing that audible sound but it can't because of the Faraday bag so the Faraday bag seems to be able to block find my phone which is promising okay so for the Faraday bags I'm going to give them four stars for Effectiveness they were very effective but there were a couple times where I had the device in there and my messages still got through and I don't know if that has to do with like the sort of WiFi modality that's in use whether it be GPS or Wi-Fi or Laura or RFID or what have you uh maybe some are less sens sensitive or more susceptible to uh Faraday cages I'm not sure but I would have liked to see it work 100% of the time so um yeah I'm going to give it four stars for Effectiveness for Value I'm going to give it five stars because you get a bunch of them you get all different sizes and it was pretty cheap and then for sketchiness or trustworthiness I'm going to give it five stars because yeah there's no way these things are sketchy uh at all so um good value on these guys guys and overall I am impressed and I would recommend 10 out of 10 hey babe I'm going for a walk can you sh your location my location yes um yeah I can do that okay I just sent you my location for the end of the day so if you want to know where I am okay good [Music] so which one of these items was your favorite let me know in the comments and to explore more budget finds check out this next video thanks
