looking around it's fair to say that we have a full house and I'm really excited and thankful that so many people are with us here in Orlando and of course a very warm welcome for everyone joining us virtually from all around to the club for me personally the most special time of the year it's not Christmas no no it's Sapphire it's the time of the year when you our customers our partners analysts and media are joining us to network and explore new ways to conquer animal we all hope you will leave Sapphire inspired and full of confidence about the future when I watched the opening video in the back it reminded me that climbing the highest mountain requires a strong team and let's face it the same is true for transforming businesses it takes a strong team between the business I.T and sap and we have seen it so many times if we are in this together as one team We Will Conquer any mount being in this together we view our customers means for us at SCP to have a deep understanding of your business in combination with great technology to boost the performance of your business and this is why our vision is focused on your needs to build resilient Supply chains to come and agile an intelligent Enterprise and to one a sustainable business we deliver on this Vision through our Cloud portfolio with the following key qualities we offer modular applications for each business business as an example in our finance solution AI helps to predict and Safeguard the financial performance by analyzing your pipeline Workforce and other p l drivers and we have delivered many AI use cases that boost business process Automation and increase productivity by another 15 percent now we see the incredible potential to take AI to the next level with generative AI we will increase the productivity of every end user by changing the way how people work with our software for example our software will be able to answer any business related question and recommend actions to improve your company's performance and we will see later how we make use of generative AI to offer new game-changing capabilities for your business we already increased our own r d investment to develop additional AI use cases and at the same time we are handling technology Partnerships to expand our AI offering I'm so so excited about the generative AI announcement we leave we released with Microsoft yesterday and I met last week to talk about our generative Ai and expanded partnership let's take a look I can remember really well that two and a half years ago you were part of the launch of wise with sap we now have thousands of wise customers from whom we are putting together the technical migration to the cloud and the transformation of their business but we didn't stop there in 2021 we announced the integration of Microsoft teams to Foster collaboration and today we are back announcing a new game-changing partnership about generative Ai No completely uh Christian I think you capture it well because the partnership couldn't be never stronger having grown up in Microsoft through various ages of even a different sap Microsoft Partnerships it's so exciting to see us really bring the Microsoft cloud and rise and now even what we're doing with the Human Experience management together uh and you know when I think about even the rise Journey it was awesome to be at the very Inception of it with you and to see in real real customer benefits being realized right whether it's the NBA or Hilti and all of these are just wonderful stories and then when I think about even AI you know having done the cloud work with you all together and seeing customers benefit from it I think of this as the next generation of it right in fact it builds on the cloud and drives the next level of value to all our customers across all of the categories in which sap is innovating and so I'm very very excited to be partnering with you on all of this this is so true such and why is the Steve foundation and just look at the sheer potential we have sap software is used by over 400 000 customers we have billions of end users and access to the world's most Mission critical business data so embedding generative Ai and intelligent chatbots in our products is about two things first increasing the productivity for the billions of end users working with sap software and second opening up new game-changing capabilities for all business functions let's take the area of HR Satya how will generate if AI shape the future of HR if you think about it it's the context of the business process and the data mixed with AI that creates the magic for any professional at work in the context of HR it's about recruiting it's about Skilling think about these two particular tasks and what we can do between the Microsoft 365 co-pilot and what you're doing in Human Experience management right bringing your data together with this co-pilot adding AI capabilities to the data on your site I think it's just going to completely change how human Capital Management Human Experience management are going to change in the Enterprise across all the critical business functions that we depend on fully acquainted today we will present such as the first generative AI use cases as part of Sap's Human Experience and portfolio and this is just the beginning we have many more use cases in the making Sai is embedded in Wise with sap and all of these can be consumed out of the box by our joint Cloud customers it's great to see Satya how our engineering teams are delivering the next level of AI together you know it is absolutely the most exciting thing a Christian have seen when I think about all of the various Innovation that you are bringing to customers and our Innovation both having compounding effects because as you described it the business data business process context that sap has is perhaps one of the most important things for any business going forward and so to see that come together with our Innovation is just wonderful and this applies to all Industries so it's exciting to see us innovate together to bring the benefits to everyone concerned Sadia let me say thank you to you and Microsoft has delivered some fantastic results over the last years and this announcement today will change how businesses run in the future we saw it in the opening video congoing the highest mountains requires a United Team transforming an Enterprise with technology requires strong teamwork as well the Chief Information officer has to be the guide on our digital transformation Journey making sure their fellow Business Leaders are following the right track to the top of the mountain I assume we can all agree that the CIO has probably the toughest job and eyes wide open that not someone is following the wrong track because reaching the top requires changing long-standing business models and simplifying business processes let's face it we all like Simplicity until it impacts our own home turf we come later to the role of the CIO and how we can help our guide to re to lead the way on this climb but let's first take a look at the transformation journey of the other Business future let's welcome Megan Smith and Evan Queen on stage to give us a demo on how game-changing these capabilities will be as part of our age exam portfolio [Music] [Applause] thanks Christian so Megan as organizations continue to reinvent themselves they're often faced with a really critical skill Gap and your Chief people officer knows that hiring a loan won't solve this challenge it requires a combination of hiring bringing in contingent workers to fill short-term gaps and upskilling and reskilling your employees exactly so today we are going to walk you through three different scenarios to show you how we are embedding AI in to enhance recruiting and ongoing learning and reskilling and upskilling of your Workforce so Microsoft is one of the largest sap success factors customers supporting employees in over 100 countries and as partners sap and Microsoft are working together to bring HR into the flow of work making these processes not only more effective with AI but also a great experience for your employees and as we move through these scenarios you'll see multiple apps in one single connected experience and this is by Design because we're bringing work into a user-centric experience and a seamless experience is critical here Aaron very common spend a lot of time doing for example success factors process over 6 million job requisitions for our customers just last year yet recruiting and hiring managers don't have the time or sometimes the latest knowledge to create a tailored job description to get the right people for the right role exactly Megan so let's welcome Georgie to the stage George is going to be driving the demo for us and let's take a look at how AI can help in this example Tara the hiring manager is looking for a sustainability supply chain consultant and given the growing focus on sustainability the company hasn't hired for this role in the past but it's a critical role and Tara needs to quickly create a job description so she can start recruiting candidates as quickly as possible and from sap start Tara sees that there's a job description for her review and by clicking on this she's brought into success factors directly but she sees a fairly generic job description so Tara chooses to enhance with AI now the AI is pulling from the vast organizational data of success factors as well as external data to really propose a more updated job description that more accurately captures the needed skills and attributes the team is looking for now Tara accepts this version but she knows she wants to collaborate with the recruiter so she opens the job description within Microsoft Word to really further refine it and here Microsoft copilot 365 is going to help her do that nottara quickly asks for some additional certifications to make the job description just that much more tailored based on similar roles now there's a few recommendations that have come up that are going to help round out the job description and what we'll do is we'll go ahead and add these but there's one final step it's pretty important that Tara wants to ensure that there's no biased language in the job description so co-pilot scans the job description and it suggests replacing the word chairman with something far more inclusive okay now that the job description is final Tara can ask copilot to just upload it directly back into success factors so she can start recruiting candidates now so by bringing generative AI into this process Tara has been able to quickly create a highly relevant job description that accurately reflects the requirements for this role okay Aaron let's look at Learning okay so to fill short-term demands and address long-term business needs we need to enable our people to continuously learn but reskilling and upskilling it's only effective if it's personalized for each employee and that's where generative AI comes in so in this case let's take a look at an employee Dinesh now Dinesh is looking for a new opportunity within the organization and he saw the supply chain role that Tara is hiring for and he's applied but to better prepare for his interview with Tara Dinesh decides that he wants to take some learning courses to really sharpen his skills in sustainability sourcing and in this case within Microsoft Viva learning Dinesh asks co-pilot for ideas on how to improve his skills in sustainable sourcing now a hyper personalized learning recommendation has come up and since Viva learning is surfacing sap success factors learning content a company recommended learning path comes up right within the courses that co-pilot has presented to Dinesh wants to see some other courses that might be available so he asks copilot for just a few more recommendations and from here Dinesh can create or choose to create a curated learning collection so that he can come back over time and continue to grow his skills and as you can see there are different types of learning available to Dinesh so that he can upskill in the way that is most effective for him but as Dinesh makes progress on each course his skills are automatically updated in these sap success factors growth portfolio and this is important because the growth portfolio is where each employee's skills and their capabilities and aspirations are tracked and as we can see Dinesh has gained a new skill in sustainability sourcing and he can measure his proficiency as he continues completing the learning courses over time now you know what I love about this Aaron is it enables organizations to get a real-time understanding of the skills across their Workforce which provides greater transparency for future workforce planning with all of this built into the flow of work skills management can now happen at scale so let's take a look at one more scenario and this shows how we're bringing success factors and Microsoft teams together for a streamlined experience I'm sure many of you in the room and online have had to interview candidates for a job that could be quite time consuming to prepare conduct and then share out the feedback yet hiring is this key opportunity we know we want to get right so here an interview has now been arranged for Tara that hiring manager to speak with Dinesh who we just saw brush up on his learning Tara receives an automated message in teams from the success factors bot reminding her about that upcoming interview and asking her if she would like support in preparing using AI the success factors bot provides interview questions based on the job description the candidate CV also of course ensuring inclusive language this has been extremely helpful to Tara because she now goes into that interview with Dinesh feeling prepared so uh when the interview's over success factors bought prompts Tara to complete that interview assessment this is a critical area where recruiters often struggle to collect feedback that's consistent measurable across all the different candidates which is a critical part of Equitable hiring practices Tara fills out that form and then the data is uploaded back into success factors all without leaving the team's application it's super cool Megan so we've taken you through three different scenarios and by harnessing the unmatched breadth of sap success factors and the ai-led capabilities of Microsoft in a single demanding personalized offerings of course at lower prices and finally your supply chain need to be able to deliver on this market trends with speed Automation and resiliency at this year Sapphire you use Unilever products across 191 countries I'm thrilled to have Aaron from Unilever joining me here today to show how Unilever is working with sap to address the growing demands for sustainable vanilla ice cream now I have to say Aaron I love starting my day with delicious ice cream so I'm hoping you can explain the challenge with vanilla ice cream while I enjoy this additional dairy free ice cream yeah thanks Julia and uh thanks for having me here it's great to be in Florida delivering ice cream to the world is a real privilege and I'm sure that everyone here has their own ice cream story which puts a smile on their face our philosophy at Unilever is that happy people and a happy Planet wins smiles and although that might seem trivial the world definitely needs more smiles and joy right now as for vanilla it's a fascinating and essential ingredient it's known as the queen of spices and actually comes from a very rare edible Orchid and takes an amazing four years to grow dairy free is also growing particularly in response to veganism and actually tracking consumer trends like dairy free are an essential part of building a world-class agile responsive supply chain clearly right when it comes to looking at eye chain adjustments having early signals on consumer Trends can have huge business implications sap customer data platform or CDP provides the insights to hit those Trends versus miss them so let's have a look here now since I'm your customer today Aaron uh you see I have a unified profile in the CDP and we have all the information about my interactions online social media in store just like my ice cream purchase right now or that espresso I ordered this morning exactly and with sap CDP data privacy preferences are always tracked and respected we actually have over 130 million consented profiles with sap that's amazing now let's look at the overall ice cream Trends now here we see that dairy-free vanilla isn't just my preference actually analyzing millions of user interactions on the CDP we're able to gain insights into current demand predict future Trends and enhance forecasting accuracy now Aaron we have certainly all lived through tremendous supply chain disruptions in recent years and seeing that in that demand for sustainable vanilla ice cream how do you manage the risk around such a critical ingredient well Madagascar supplies about 80 percent of the world's vanilla and we work there with Farmers to grow the highest quality sustainable vanilla exactly what you need for high quality sustainably sourced ice cream but to reduce the risk we build long-term Partnerships we invest in the Education Health Care and even Financial awareness of those farmers and there's three thousand of them so it's pretty colossal we also keep vanilla at at least two Distributors and we carefully forecast demand and of course build inventory ahead of the busy ice cream season however despite that we always plan to expect the unexpected and this is where supply chain planning Solutions really help indeed right and here an sap integrated business planning we're bringing together customer sentiment from the CDP with real-time inventory levels from s4hana cloud and weather forecasts and this provides the ability to predict plan and drive Goods through the supply chain more sustainably and more profitably now I see here actually there is an alert and unfortunately our demand exceeds the planned supply for our and our suppliers unable to deliver so we need to find a new plan so what would be the next step to mitigate a situation like this Aaron so we would most likely pivot first of all to one of those alternate distribution points while also conducting an analysis of our worldwide inventory demand and building some what-if scenarios great well now I see we have a couple of those options you said and first we could of course stock transfer but since there's a shortage broadly all of our production facilities so instead we're going to go with option two which is to reach out through the sap business Network and find a substitute supplier now Aaron when you need to find a new supplier how do you make sure you're selecting someone that meets that very high sustainability requirement you guys have well globally we have about 50 000 Partners in our Network we use Ariba to help to manage those partners and that would include the vanilla suppliers and Distributors and is making sustainable living common places our company Philosophy we actually evaluate Supply Partners against factors like sustainable farming practices Fair wages and socially responsible work practices wow I'm sure keeping up with 50 000 suppliers is a challenge but fortunately we also can use embedded AI to provide new supplier recommendations for exactly your situation so taking into account things like onboarding and even looking at completely new suppliers so let's compare potential suppliers that to overcome our vanilla shortage yeah I can see here that there are three Supply recommendations which fit our requirements and thanks to the integration across sap Ariba sap business Network and S for Honda Cloud we can see a full view of the suppliers performance metrics including cost reliability sustainability making an informed decision not only on supply chain fit but also on carbon impact this is great Julia and by leveraging technology we can minimize disruptions in our supply chain we can proactively plan for uncertainty and we can build resilience in our operation which of course means more [Applause] I am pleased to be here and share a bit about Pfizer and the great partnership we have with sap this has been an exciting time in Pfizer's history in 2022 we exceeded 100 billion in revenue for the first time in our 174 year old history we maintained our industry-leading clinical success rates and finds Pfizer continues to be regarded and recognized as one of the most Innovative and ethical companies but most importantly more than 1.3 billion patients around the world were treated with our medicines and vaccines that's one out of every six humans on the planet a truly humbling accomplishment for us Digital Data and AI are critical to our success and what differentiates Pfizer is that we apply this across the entire company and we're doing it quickly and at scale to bring medicines to patients faster super Computing Ai and virtual in silica screening are reducing overall computational Times by 80 to 90 percent accelerating our research and Discovery efforts with digital we're bringing the clinical trials to participants with capabilities like wearables remote tracking and Telehealth for an enhanced experience over 50 percent of clinical trials visits are now remote compared to 10 in 2018. Leading Edge digital capabilities and standard platforms are helping us to manufacture and distribute medicines to patients faster than ever before and we are Transforming Our go to market model with hundreds of millions of transactions across learning procurement manufacturing and customer ordering an sap business Network helps us scale transactions and collaboration across our entire supply chain we have automated 90 million transactions enabling our colleagues to focus on what matters most we use sap for insights into our Global operations for faster decision making improved Capital allocation and to strategically manage billions of dollars in inventory of our medicines to ensure availability of those medicines around the world we're also improving the customer experience like the ability to order prepnar with the push of a button from the doctor's office similar to Amazon Dash speaking of innovation at scale a great example is how Pfizer brought the covet vaccine and oral treatment to the world in record time it took just 269 days from when we announced plans to co-develop a covid-19 vaccine with bio intake to the day we received fda's emergency use authorization thank you and to give you an idea of the scale prior to covet Pfizer produced 220 million vaccine doses of our entire portfolio compared to 3 billion doses of community in 2021 and 4 billion in 2022. we achieved this with our end-to-end platform approach including our digital operations center our manufacturing intelligence platform and sap our industry for digital operations center allows colleagues to collaborate across plants see production status and resolve issues in real time yielding a 27 20 throughput increase this is now at the heart of how our plants operate we're using Ai and machine learning to predict product throughput and yield enabling us to deliver more doses to more patients for example our mRNA prediction algorithm yielded 20 000 more vaccine doses per batch imagine the impact of that and our batch tracker proactively identifies potential bottlenecks and risks resulting in an 85 percent on-time product release Improvement increase throughout our entire network with our Leading Edge digital capabilities and sap as our backbone we're able to procure materials needed for our medicines and vaccines and ensure delivery at the right time and locations around the globe this year we have an unprecedented 19 launches of promising medicines and vaccines which we look forward to Bringing to patients quickly as you can imagine our product supply chain includes numerous raw materials contract manufacturers Distributors so digital trading partner collaboration is critically critically important Sap's business network will help us share key data across our supply chain that enables us to deliver those medicines faster and we are super excited to accelerate our battle against cancer with a proposed combination of cgen and Pfizer to bring siegen's Leading Edge antibody drug conjugate technology to more patients with cancer faster we hope to achieve with cancer but we were able to achieve with coven let me close by saying that advisor rather than creating a digital strategy for our business we're creating a business strategy for a digital world that's the foundation on which we are making digitally competitive Advantage advisor thank you to all of you at to transform their Enterprise together let's come to our next key business stakeholder your Chief Financial Officer I guess it's fair to say that CFOs are not always the most loved person in the company sorry but have the crucial role of safeguarding your company's Financial Ambitions by managing the business performance something that is even more challenging in times of inflation cost and margin pressure my broad colleagues Jung and Thomas will share with you this afternoon about how our analytics and planning portfolio help your CFO to master this key task but another key pillar for the success of the company is the management of its Green Line in addition to the Bob to the top and the bottom line consumers your employees investors and Auditors they all want to support Enterprise that care about the planet today CFOs and chief sustainability officers need to ensure compliance with 20 times more climate regulations than they had in the past but at the same time hardly any let's hear from our very own CFO Dominic Assam who recently spoke with Hillary Maxim CFO of Schneider Electric about the challenges CFOs face Dominic and Hillary over to you hello Hillary very warm welcome to Sapphire thanks Dominique glad to be with you today now there is one specific topic which I think weighs on the mind of a lot of executive teams CFOs and other Executives alike which is the carbon accounting question so what can you tell us about your approaches to carbon accounting for quite some time we've been calculating at the group level more exciting from my perspective we also look at it for example at the level of our products so a calculation it's not settled externally today but our form of scope 4 or how we believe that we decarbonize on behalf of our customers so what are some of the data challenges you are facing today with regards to that sustainability disclosure we still have quite a clear Gap in terms of maturity for example between financial reporting and ESG reporting ESG reporting depends on a huge amount of data from a variety of of sources with different formats and inconsistent quality and it also requires more and more that we Source data from across our value chain we're putting in place a sustainability data officer to drive and lead the data organization and modeling our digitalization roadmap and automation Journey for ESG reporting so from the challenges you just have described what are your expectations for us sap the solutions we can provide to help Schneider Electric on that Journey um cover the data needs in this environment and secondly we'd really like to view ESG goals tied together with our financial goals and the way that we drive the business so enabling the convergence of those two different types of data coming together to deliver something that we can make decisions on for the best of the business so thank you Hillary for that great conversation I really appreciate it thanks Dominique good to see you sap has been investing in sustainability measurement for several years now and today we take the next step we're introducing Financial grade accounting to carbon accounting which means we're bringing carbon accounting into the individual business process transaction this could be a business flight to London or the purchase of a thousand engines from a Japanese supplier only with transactional level Precision can we shift from averages to actuals with carbon accounting now to do this we're introducing a set of new Innovations first we're announcing sap data exchange as part of the sap business Network this creates a scalable way to get accurate scope 3 emissions collected customers can now gather actual embodied carbon data directly from their suppliers rather than estimating emissions second the major update to sap sustainability footprint management we're enabling companies to granularly manage their carbon Flows at the process and product level across scope one two and three emissions and the integration with sap s4hana Cloud allows companies to calculate their carbon Footprints directly from Individual Erp transactional level details at each step of the product production this level of granular tracking has not been possible before and finally we're announcing a new green Ledger that will work with our Cloud Erp to provide natively integrated financial and environmental decision making at the required point in time our first release will come later this year as a feature of rise with sap and grow with sap and you will see ongoing continuous innovation coming to the green Ledger thanks to our very significant r d investment in this area with these new capabilities CFOs like Hillary have the future-proof approach to manage their carbon footprint aligned with their financials based on carbon actuals instead of averages and this increases accuracy and reliability with over 50 years of experience in finance and resource accounting sap is Envoy for climate to talk about how we address the climate change crises together hello everybody and thank you so much for the chance to be part of the sap Sapphire conference I really wish I could be there with you in person but I'm very grateful to be able to at least join you virtually and share a few Thoughts with you sap is a leader in the climate space and it was one of the first 10 companies to respond to the president's emergency plan for adaptation and resilience the prepare plan which was a call to action and we are truly grateful for the work that they're doing as I see the climate crisis my friends as it grows we Face a challenge today that is even more urgent than we had imagined the intergovernmental panel on climate change recently underscored that the climate crisis is already impacting the planet in unprecedented ways the choice for all of us now is as clear as it is compelling we have to accelerate the shift to a clean energy economy and we have to do it much faster than we are today the reality is that governments alone cannot stem the climate crisis we can set the goals we can create incentives we can make public Investments but the real Capital the real Innovation the real entrepreneurial Drive is going to come and must come from the private sector one critical area important to many at this conference is carbon and Counting there's an old adage that you can't manage what you can't measure as the private sector mobilizes to make clean Investments and decarbonize its Supply chains rigorous accounting and transparency are absolutely essential we need trust in the system and we need to ensure that all of our actions have the highest environmental integrity rigorous accounting and strong environmental Integrity will be the key to the success of [Music] [Applause] [Music] Thomas welcome to Sapphire we are glad to have you it's a privilege to be with all of you you know we have this amazing collaboration with sap uh going back five years now most people probably don't realize we have three parts to our relationship you know engineering teams work very closely together we've built many many things together scale out live migration we're going to talk more about data today AI and we're helping hundreds of customers migrate to the cloud and and use the Rise program for the business transformation second important thing alphabet the parent of Google is one of Sap's Global customers we run a whole company on S4 we run simple we run it on a cloud and it's been 11 quarters and we've never had a single second of outage or problem we consolidate 50 billion transactions a month multiple terabytes of data and our CFO is one of Christian's fans so second example of us working together and third we work with so many of your sap teams in engineering so it's a privilege to be here and thank you to all the teams at sap that work so closely with us yeah Thomas I guess it's first of all you made many people here happy really at sap looking at The Smiling Thomas and of course we also keeping our engineering teams pretty busy to the benefit of our customers now we expanded our partnership just a few days ago we announced that sap data sphere will run on gcp as part of wise with sap we're gonna plague the Titus data silos by bringing sap and Google cloud data together tell us a bit more Thomas where do you see the value of our joint customers you know bringing the data together is a key part of business transformation and you know getting a unified view of data both internal and external is a critical part to The Rise program and the business transformation so think about if you're a retailer and you're trying to plan inventory you need to get a view of search Trends on Google because it's typically a great predictor to what kind of products people may buy if you're in sustainability you have your own products but you need a view of where you're sourcing for example water from to manufacture or raw materials and Google's Earth engine for example is used by many many companies to do that uh if you're in supply chain you're trying to get a view of what Logistics disruptions may cause delays in you getting parts and inventory in order to run a just-in-time manufacturing system so what we've done with sap is to make it trivial to migrate data from sap data sphere into Google's bigquery system where you can enrich from external sources and run analytics that can be surfaced back in sap it makes it better because you get not just your own information but enriched information faster we can replicate using btp transactions in real time simpler because you can see it both in the analytical system and within sap applications and then we put a lot of security controls around it to protect and keep this data secure we have over 300 customers Now using the solution including Google ourselves we run all of our Erp analysis on top of this and we've seen Great Value being delivered to many clients and tell us just to build on that I don't need hardly any customer who's not telling me that while they need to make fast and agile decisions there are hundreds of people in the back while you're looking into the digital boardroom who still manually need to touch the data making sure that customer a is the same customer in one system and in another system and I guess this is what this partnership is about right solving this challenge now we are talking also a lot about AI everyone has Big Dreams big hopes about what AI can do for their business but even the most sophisticated algorithms and chatbots need high quality data so what can this partnership do about delivering real value out of AI you know the most important thing to make sure your algorithms if you put garbage in you get garbage out of the algorithms right and how many of you say I want to have fragmented data how many of you say I'd really like to have no consistent view of any of it no one the great thing about sap and Google with AI and data is we're already solving real problems for real customers we made shopping and commerce much easier using AI for discovery for companies like Ikea we've made the ability for Home Depot to have a unified view of all of their inventory so that they don't have stockouts because of the combination of the data platform and AI on top of it if you're in Argentina at Mercado Libre a very very large retailer not only have we helped them use our AI to predict where products are needed but also to cut down the logistics and to speed up and make their Logistics Network much easier for them it's a big part of their sustainability initiatives we're helping forward identify and predict quality issues in cars even when they're being manufactured by putting our AI on pop-off btp sap which runs their infrastructure and our analytics platform so all of these are real examples of real AI being used whether it's in manufacturing in supply chain in Commerce in the customer interface and then most importantly we have over a hundred million customers at alphabet uh tracking things like accounts payable uh predicting cash flow making sure we have a good view as the economy changes on what accounts balances look like we use AI to predict all of it so in every day we have many customers using the work that our teams have done together to solve real problems that help with the business transformation agenda which is powering rise yeah so Thomas actually I wanted to go a little bit off script and ask you about the happiness of alphabet as a customer we already covered that now there's nothing left for me just to say thank you and I really mean it Whenever there is a customer asking for support as part of wise with sap use scale out scenarios new virtual machines we need to support no matter if we need to scale the business globally we need new data centers in certain parts of the world you are there the best thing about this partnership is this here is the nice stuff what really happens behind the scenes is that our engineering teams are coming together to make this a real value-add story for our customers for that I would love to thank challenge we will solve together as part of wise with sap let's come to the main obstacle many cios have to overcome to guide us to the top of the mount and I have to say personally as the former Chief Operating Officer of sap that is the challenge what actually led to wise with sap because there would not be a transformation of sap without a business model and business process transformation complex non-standardized business processes and as a result heavily customized on-premise Erp Legacy landscapes let me first share anecdote just recently I was visiting customers here in the United States I met with a customer who just finished a multi-year migration of that Legacy Erp landscape to the cloud the blog check was a pure lift and shift of the to the cloud and during the migration they developed even more customizations because the business had short-term hours so we did the math the customer spent almost 30 times more on customization and migration as on the standard Erp software this is not only bad for us this is bad for everyone because as a result they are still running their business with a 10 year old Legacy Erp system there is no productivity gains because there was no post standardization the chief commercial officer cannot run any new digital business model because there was no business model change and The Business will wait for new features forever because the it stack is so complex and for sure the next upgrade will be super expensive again this is the perfect example why we introduced wise with sap to avoid exactly such a scenario together and of our Founders told me all the time question never forget the mid Market when we started this company 50 years back the Walmarts and all the other large Enterprises warning sap they weren't as big as today so this offer is designed for our net new mid-market customers and for some situaries of large Enterprises it allows you to go live with our Cloud Erp in weeks grow with sap offers pre-configured content by industry and continuous feature delivery every week so customers have always the latest Innovation to win in the market so what are you on as existing sap customer or a new family member wise and quo are your maps to guide you to the top of the mount let's go back to Julia to show you how signario and PDP can help you to move to the clean Core now Enterprise automation uses AI event-driven architecture RPA reusable content and integration to automate as many tasks as possible and only sap has the entire technology stack to fully automate your end-to-end business processes and today we're announcing new functionality to enable Enterprise wide automation so it all starts with sap signavio business process insights to identify areas for improvement in your existing processes and here in signavio it shows me where our processes are inefficient for example I see 65 percent of our sales orders are incomplete and obviously we want to address that order backlog and with the latest signavio updates this assessment you see here is possible to get in hours versus weeks and this dramatically accelerates time to process optimization now signavio is recommending a pre-built automation to address the sales order creation this is a sap build automation that is natively integrated with s4hana cloud and by deploying this pre-built automation it instantly helps us reduce incomplete orders this bot is just one of thousands of pre-built automations and Integrations available in Sap's business accelerator Hub to help our customers jump start the process of automation of products now beyond the Quick Fix of using that pre-built bot we can use sap signavio to further Analyze This inefficient process and we see that order process time is below Target and our automation rates are also lower than it should be now to understand exactly what's happening we can drill into that individual process and we learned the sum of the sales orders are blocked because of missing material codes on the purchase requisitions from our customers now normally someone would have to scour through hundreds of purchase orders to find the right material code and then manually create a new Po and s4hana Cloud well this can now be fully automated with sap build process automation so let's take a look so here in the process automation workflow you can see signavio triggers this issue and when we use embedded business AI to search all the past purchase orders looking for that material code that matches the right description and once a match is found the material code is updated and then this requisition is sent to an approver for that last mile check and this can easily include data from other systems using sap integration Suite now the approver reviews the material code and confirms that it is indeed the right one and then it's automatically updated in the purchase requisition this approval triggers that PO to be automatically created in the Erp it's that fast it's that simple we've accomplished in minutes what it would have taken previously hours and also improving accuracy and ultimately improving customer satisfaction and with thousands of pre-built Integrations and Bots and workflows all integrated with s4hana Cloud customers can faster and more easily work on his ever before thank you so much bring it home Kristen
