Good I came wearing shorts There is landslide here Let us go from here It is getting deeper Time to say Goodbye to Saigon Time to say bye to Ho Chi Minh Leaving with lot of memories n bad experiences. I'll never forget Ho Chi Minh city My iPad is somewhere 5km away from here. I dont have the courage to go there It shows some house location I wanted to go and see But with what guarantee can I go and look for it? Today we are off to Mui Ne Going to see the desert in Vietnam. Did you know Vietnam has a desert? I didnt know. Going to see the beautiful sand dunes and beaches
It is 6.50am now. I have a bus at 7.50am which I have to board 15km away from here I have a 4hr bus journey Welcome to a new video of Tech Travel Eat KL2UK I have booked a Grab. 10km to the bus company office from here 350/- to go there I stayed at Holiday Inn and Suites hotel My car is here I have to give my name and date of birth I got out in search of 7-eleven to buy something for breakfast They told me that there is one close by. 7-eleven is very good culture out here This area has lot of bus company offices Let me buy something from 7-eleven Look at this. Where do you get to see something like this. Alcohol and water sold in a glass That is awesome I bought a boiled egg, banana and a piece of chicken Good This is not our bus I think they will drop us at another place to board another bus All the buses here are VIP They are like Indians. Look at what all have they kept in the front.
Same culture They have kept a big lemon too A big tv and some flowers too Some decorations also This is not the bus I am going in. I booked a sleeper bus I think they pick and drop people in this from the city to the outskirt bus stand We can save taking a bus from the city and save time too A beautiful tunnel Good one Like the tunnel under River Thames, London, this tunnel goes under River Saigon We are now under the river I have no idea where are they taking us We left the highway and have reached a bad road Can see lot of lorries here So many trucks here Huge trucks Looks like a scary places There is our bus. This is their parking area They are going between these buses.
This is the sleeper bus like we came in that day. The small one What are they doing? Cant they park this behind and they go there See how close by are they parking this now This may hit that one now. He is showing an action saying it will hit Cant they park behind. I wonder why are they squeezing in here They moved a bus from there and parked this in that gap Good one. It is of Nam Hai company They shifted my bag to that bus. That is why they squeezed the bus in here
People in are bus are to go in these two buses on the sides The luggage for this bus is boarded from this side and the other from that side I underestimated them This is some yard. Lot of trucks here Just 3 buses between these trucks Looks like these are parts of these vehicles You should remove your footwear like going to a temple before entering the bus This is a congested bus Very bad designing Cannot sleep comfortably This is the configuration for short distance route. I shall show you the buses for long routes. They are bigger buses They have good buses here This is very thin. Look at the space in there Good space in there This is a new bus. They have given us a bottle of water
USB charger and a tv here I dont think it works I cannot find anything for it They have curtains Shall close them If they can make it this much, cant they make it full sleeper? This is not sitting or sleeping It is very claustrophobic in here Now they are taking this bus from that gap A cute blanket It is always good to have 2+1 configuration seat and berth 1/1/1 is a bit congested People dont find it comfortable Looks ok. They have strip lights on top Looks good. That is a middle berth. Each person gets individual privacy They had first given me the middle berth I said I dont want that and then they gave me this side It is sunny outside. Look at the lights after the curtains are drawn too We got onto an express highway now.
A huge highway Nearly 30hrs by train from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi Roads are well connected But they dont have end to end express highway I see that normal roads come in between We are still at the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh city Can see some factories far there Can see a beautiful villa project too They are water front villas That is not a factory but a container terminal. Can see containers being loaded I cannot even lift my hands properly in here Cannot turn around comfortably too Sleeper buses in India are very comfortable Even KSRTC sleepers are awesome They have very good buses Nice wide berths Can turn around and sleep well too. Let it be single or double When traveling with family, can a father and child fit in here? Even a mother and child cannot fit in here It is that tight There is another kind of bus with single and double cabins I will be going to Da Nang taking a 16hr bus journey I am yet to book my tickets. I prefer that bus for that journey I shall show you 1700km from Ho Chu Minh city to Hanoi We are now riding over the longest express highway in Vietnam.
Only partial area work has been completed The entire length is 2063km After Cambodia Vietnam border, it starts after Ho Chu Minh It goes upto Hanoi and then connects to an express highway to China It is a long express highway that connects from North to South They call it CT.01 It has been under construction for the past few years Work has been completed as some places They have normal highways other than express highways too We are now on an express highway Can see a huge river You get to see the outskirt view only when you travel in a bus. I am lying down and enjoying the cultivation fields No range here In our highways we get range. But here they dont have Not getting connected at all We got out from the express highway. So much of dragon fruits grown here Another 1hr to Mui Ne It is near the beach 34 berths in this bus. Never take a lower berth ticket when traveling in such a bus Take the top berth. People keep stamping to climb up and it disturbs you
Moreover the lower berth is at the walking ground level So always take the top berth Now we have reached a town Can see lot of fishing boats here They would be the ones that go to the sea for fishing We have reached some sea shore now. Another 25km to reach Mui Ne I think this bus goes to other places too. Some people boarded from here now You see red flags and Vietnam flags here Beach is to be seen We are beginning to see sea view resorts Like Varkala, Vietnam is a domestic tourist spot where lot of people come to Mui Ne is a beach destination. People are dropped in front of the resort That is great Getting down from the bus and walking into the resort. Might be a staff They stopped in front of the next resort now A beach resort and Spa The staff has come with a trolley to take their luggage I am lying down here I have turned to the side a bit The express highway here is not as good as ours There is a travel agent here. It is run by a Keralite. He had contacted me
I have got down near his office We have planned a desert drive from here People have booked tours with the travel agency and hotels too They take a bus and come from Ho Chi Minh and get down in front of their hotel The moment I got off the bus, it began to rain He has taken my bag He is Johny I had spoke to Bipin, a Keralite What was Bipin's agency's name? Sigon adventure. I think they are partners We will be going for a small tour in the afternoon He is taking me for lunch to an Indian restaurant now I am not interested in having Indian food. But it is ok. He has a spa here. He said if we have time, we can go for a massage Shall think of that later Ganesh Mui Ne restaurant. A Ganesha idol in the front. Got the menu card I never expected to see an Indian restaurant here Ordered my favourite masala pappad I ordered a soup Lemon coriander soup Good soup Chicken tikka with vegetables Had lunch. Came to 680 INR
Not too expensive It is raining. I dont think the jeep tour will work out By the time it just began to rain, the roads are so wet This is the jeep here. US Army Will it start? This is a Chinese vehicle I dont know which one. It is a 4 wheel drive one. It is written BJC on it. Might be Beijing Car
Some starting trouble Even we simply open the bonnet when the car doesnt start Good jeep It has started We are first going to the hotel Shall check in and keep our bag there The highlight of this place is the sand dunes and beaches together Since it is raining, I dont know how do we see the sand dunes This is the resort we are going to stay in Sigon adventure tour booked it and not me Looks good. Nice vehicle Looks cute Has a Defender look but it is not. Let me check in first Once the rain reduces, we shall go around in that Chinese vehicle Good place Johny was saying that the first beach resort was put up in 1995 After that the tourism developed a lot and lot of resorts came up Today it is a famous tourist destination But not a back packer destination They asked me to sit for 10mts. Room is getting ready. They gave me the key. Got the wifi password too It is raining. For our luggage not to get wet, they are covering and taking it in that I got an umbrella Mui Ne was not in my plan I thought of going to Dalat from Ho Chu Minh Bipin told me to come and see this place Lots to see here but unfortunately it is raining That is the problem.
Look what all they have here M My tour people are waiting for me. But what can I do? Is there a Casino here? Looks like only I am there in this resort and nobody else This is my room. When we went and checked in the resort there, I thought it would be a seaside room. But we got this one Good room. Just that it is not sea side but in a building on the other side
Since it is raining, I have no idea on what to do They said all the rooms are booked because of independence day Stuck in the rain and the jeep and driver is waiting outside He said we shall go when the rain reduces They have slippers and umbrellas in the room to go to the beach Shall wear that and go 2 umbrellas in here Mui Ne is a seaside in Vietnam Lot of resorts here. The main highlight is where the sand dunes and beach is This is Saigon Mui Ne sea side resort. My room is on the other side The rain has reduced. Let us go for a drive in this Chinese vehicle now No idea how it will be now He is the guide coming with me We are riding on a water road. It rained for 30-45mts and the road is like this now Can see vehicles go through the water So much of water clogged here Reminds me of Alappuzha Chenganasserry water clogging We are going in that kind of vehicle We have begun to see the sand dunes. Can see a huge apartment
These are red and brown sand dunes It is next to the beach. They have made a road in between We shall first see the white sand dunes It is 60km away from here We have to go 30mts from here to see that You can see sand dunes on the way Lot of wind mills. This place is very windy It is because of the wind you have sand dunes here We are on the way to the desert I thought it was near the sea, but it isnt. We have come to another side now
You have the red sand dunes near the sea Now we have come to see the white dunes I loved this colour Beautiful colour and excellent for photos You should take the jeep or this vehicle to see the sand dunes The sand dunes are behind there But we can go only once the rains stop No point going in the rains. I dont know how is it in the rains 3 lakh dongs for ATV and 8 lakh dong for the jeep There are other disappointed people like me. What fun will I have wearing a raincoat? It is because we are here at the wrong time. Or it would have been fun I paid 3 lakh dongs and took a ticket Shall take the ATV. The rain has reduced. We should sit behind and they will take us This is a fun ride You should hold tight or will fall down You should pee and go for this or you will be in trouble Beautiful place We should get down here It is a desert But due to the rains, it doesnt look beautiful now I shall show you the stock videos and show you the real beauty of it It looks beautiful early morning and gives that real desert feel Really beautiful. I never knew that Vietnam had a desert like place Got to know that now.
What you see far there is the sea, then a water body and river You have the desert this side You would have seen the mirage in the movie Aadujeevitham. Very rarely you see water in the desert. The main highlight here is sand dunes with water There is something on that where people roll down from there on People have discarded cigarette packs and plastic bottles here I didnt take the other vehicle because I am alone If you are 3-4 people, the jeep is reasonable Jeep is a waste when coming alone 8 lakh dong is nearly 3000 INR This is reasonable. Nearly 1000 INR
You nearly killed me! Next spot here I never expected them to drive so fast It is like this because it rained. Or they are real sand dunes Below the sand dune you have a river The river flows to the sea. Looks beautiful. It is always windy. That is why you have windmills there
Windmills to produce electricity Beautiful place. I liked it. You cannot do too much of adventures in a jeep But the ATV experience was great I liked it. I want to pee.

You can take nice pics near and above it in good costumes Which colour did you like? I liked yellow the best. This is the Pacific Ocean. But known as South China Sea. We have stopped at a place to take photos Do you know where am I sitting? On top of the jeep I think they take photos for all. They asked me to sit here Beautiful photos. Awesome! I removed my slippers in the jeep. Look at my legs
This is the red dunes You have the sea on that side and a road in between here. Resorts there too We shall walk and see the red dunes and come My whole body has tanned. Because I wear shoes, only my legs are fair What a colour change! Beautiful view L Lot of fishing boats in the sea and many resorts here We have walked and reached up here Since it is cloudy, we can walk like this. Or will have to wear sunglasses in the sun
Or will be hit with sunburns When coming for such a tour, you have to apply sun screen The season in Vietnam starts in November August and September are rainy months in Vietnam Rains stop by October and the season begins in November It is just like our country. Different weather at different places Tomorrow's place is like Munnar or Kodaikkanal I walked all the way from there and reached here You are supposed to have a nice view from here. But since it is cloudy, the visibility is low You can see the South China sea far there Lot of resorts down there So many boats in the sea All out for fishing Mui Ne was an old fishing village In 1990s, tourism developed and it turned out to have many resorts Today Mui Ne is a resort city A lady sitting with sliding boards here You can slide down from here These pits like are made by sliding You cannot see the angle of the pits or shape of the desert in the video As I move forward, the sand dunes are actually deep down there It was a fun day Now we are at the seashore You can see coconut trees grown here If it has to stand in a line like this, they would have been planted like that. All these are a part of beautification People who booked a tour gets a drink free Let us have something from here We have come to a cafe to have that We are going to Fairy Stream next. The entry is from here Let me have a tender coconut before that I didnt order any juice but a tender coconut Let me see if it is sweet. Very tasty It is like they added sugar. But they havent. Nice carbonated feel

You can take and make semi conductors Now there are stones here and it has begun to go deeper too Some places are deep upto my knees He said there is a short cut to go this way to the top of the mountain It is slippery here I am walking up this mountain now Today was a hardwork day Some comment saying cant I work and live I am hardworking and earning my living I am really hardworking Looks like a place that was affected with landslide Landlides happen at such places I am gasping Dont tell me that I will have to walk back the same way Would be nice if the jeep would come that side It is such a dangerous place. He said it is some short cut This is how landslides happen. Can see marks of water flowing
What would people taking sand think seeing all these This is sand. Where is he taking me to? Nothing will happen if I fall because there are no stones here. Never go for short cuts in life Let it be your life or route We have come to see all this All these are formed with water. Looks like limestone. But it is sand. He said there is lot of water there and we have to go back the way we came. I dont know how am I going to climb that up You have to go up and hold my camera for me You dont have to worry going up. We get scared when coming down. Look at him go up It is easy to get down here and difficult to walk up this mud We did a half day tour today It was worth the experience. They have grilled and brought it for us Done with the salad and starters Done with fried rice too Let us have the fish now Has anybody had tomato sauce coated grilled fish? I am having it from Vietnam Grilled fish marinated in tomato sauce I am first time having something like that The fish is slightly sweet because of the tomato sauce We had asked for garlic But they prepared with tomato sauce We had food and are back at my room Let me leave.
