Ha Long Bay, a popular destination in Vietnam An area with lot of limestone caves and mountains beside the sea We are now on the top of a cruise ship here at Ha Long Bay We came here for the cruise ride We will be staying here today We are staying in the cruise These cruises are not small as Alappuzha house boats and not big as normal cruises Welcome to another video of Tech Travel Eat KL2UK 3hrs of bus journey and we reached check in reception area of Ha Long cruise trip Lot of people like us are coming in a bus All are asked to sit and given a welcome drink They didnt give us and we had to ask for a glass of it to drink I felt a kind of discrimination here. When foreigners came, there were many to assist them but nobody for us. Let us see how the rest of it is They took our bags and will keep it at the boat.
If we want we can take it ourselves too We got the keys of 112 A young woman is taking is to the boat We are a group of people. They are welcoming us with drums This is the boat/ship/cruise we are going in This looks good. People are waving at us from above Shouldnt they be welcoming us? This is the reception inside the boat This is not the one. We have to cross this and get into ours This is our boat Everybody's bag and luggage are kept in front of their room Our room is 112 They have done it so organized Very systematic I liked that. Where is 112? You have different category rooms here My bag is here You have boats and rooms of different categories here On the top most floor, you have suite rooms This is our room Twin bed room Looks like a hotel room We have a balcony outside the room I shall show you once the cruise begins to move Were you going to change your shorts? Plants and ac box is kept there People who smoke can smoke from here You will see lot of cruise ships moving to different sides now So much of traffic. A boat is overtaking another boat
All these are different kinds of cruises That one is horning and overtaking He is in a hurry Let us go to the upper deck of the boat Not knowing that the boat is moving It is very smooth I think this is the reception area Can see wooden steps in the middle We got on to the steps and reached the 2nd floor. They have rooms here too We have to climb up again They have spa and massages here We have reached on top We shall sit there. This is ice tea We boarded the cruise at 12 noon We will be checking out at 10.30-11am tomorrow
Lunch, dinner and breakfast for tomorrow is included 150 dollars per head for the cruise Another cruise is overtaking from here This is a bar You have boats with different facilities You have small to high end luxury ones here So many cruises are out at Ha Long Bay with people in it. All the cruises have a small boat attached like this. They go along with that These small boats maybe of use later You have a bar here, ac restaurant there and places to sit and smoke up here It would be very cold during winter This area is very cold during winter That small boat goes on day trip You can opt day trips with food for 2000-3000 here at Ha Long You can stay for 2-3 days too You have different options to select There are different category boats here You have them of different standards too Ours isnt 5 or 4 star, but just a normal cruise We can select any kind as per our budget You can see many luxury boats on the way I shall show you each boat Everything is kept ready at the bar counter We are now going in a cruise of Au Co company This is the restaurant here Our lunch is getting ready here It would be a buffet I think Dishes are named and we can read and have what we want Restaurant looks awesome. People have begun to come. This is the table reserved for us Awesome. All have sat to have food. But before that, they have a drink or wine and then eat food
So nobody has begun to eat This is the original beauty of Ha Long Bay It is a very famous place Tourists come from all sides of the world Limestone caves are the highlight here These are limestone caves and mountains formed 500 million years ago It is a huge vast area. Just like our Alapuzha backwater network You can understand how Ha Long Bay looks only if you see the ariel view The water is not crystal clear but greenish as you see Tourists do Scuba diving, kayaking etc here You have trekking and fishing too. You have packages according to the number of days you are staying here Let me go to the front of the boat Let us see and come The kitchen is behind this cabin This is the front of the boat You can see the captain riding the boat inside there He is all alone in there Lot of cruises in the sea here This is actually a sea. Just that you see small mountains here and there
The mountains are in the 350sq/km distance in the sea That is what Ha Long Bay is This is a destination to visit with family I wouldnt have come here if I was alone I came here just because Saheerbhai joined me I have to pay a double room rate even if I come alone Both of us paid 150 and shared the room now I had planned to come here with Swetha and Rishi I wish to come here next time with them The manager, bar attender and other staffs are introducing themselves They have all kinds of food there Since it was crowded, I didnt shoot the video of food from there. They had salads, bread and soups too Good menu. Not too high I am having food but coming out in between to shoot the beauty outside too We are going beside small mountains like these All these are very far from the shore You can understand them only if you see the ariel view See which all ways are the boats going through The whole place is like this.
Too good. Nice to see the boats go like this through the mountains I think the youngest amongst the crowd in the boat would be Saheerbhai and me Youngest guests There are 62 people or tourists staying in this boat like us 40 staffs for 62 people in There should be around 30 rooms for these many people to stay Rest all are aged people In the intro, there were saying that it is two groups of people A group from Australia and another one from Europe Few families or couples separate like Saheerbhai and me. All the big and small boats have a small boat like this attached to it.
It is like a rescue boat All the cruises go with one like this Looks like it is compulsory To go for activities, we have to take this small boat The big cruise cannot go close to the shores This boat is used for emergency evacuation too Nice to see the boats coming one behind the other So many of them coming in a line It is a bit cloudy and so cannot get a perfect shot Let me go on top of this and see People are having food Now it is crowded in there. We shall come here at that time Little later they would stop for kayaking and bathing in the beach You can swim in the beach or do kayaking There are some activities coming up. Those who want to can do them You can do all that and then come on top and have a sun bath They have done all the facilities for that on the top deck Nice I came now. I got to shoot without anybody here Otherwise it would have been very crowded Let us go and stand in the front of the boat Is this a light? Yes. It is a a light The navigation system and a speaker is also seen here for announcement Nice and windy. Can see the cruises moving You wont understand that. It is moving very slowly
The boat is very clean. Nice experience We are with our plate for a second round of food There is a small queue. The crowd has reduced Lot of salad options. This is banana flower salad I took a second serving. The fish tastes so good. Fish fried covered in banana leaves is yummy Had food and got out. All we can see are these mountains Looks beautiful The sun is out completely and the shades here are looking different Foreigners inside eat well. I thought only Indians eat a lot
But they too eat a lot They were taking servings frequently Everything was over finally Since we pay so much, eat and enjoy is a part of it. People on a cruise drink well if they do, eat well as they want. It seems people traveling in a cruise for a week, put on 4-5kgs When you take a cruise ride to the sea, you only get to see the sea Once you board the cruise, you only have the cruise activities But here you can enjoy these mountains and the scenic beauty That is the specialty here Though it is not so luxurious like the other cruises, but nothing bad to say too As I said, you get luxury as per your budget here Excellent experience, right? Nice to simply sit too I went and checked the spa down there. There is spa and Jacuzzi there
We can book the jacuzzi and lie it in The best part is that there is no range here. So we dont have to look at our phone We shall say we bought a cruise I am taking reels for Saheerbhai today Not a single person here in this heat Just us and nobody else We can buy a cruise Dont come here in this hot climate. November-December-January would be cold You may not be able to do any water activities then It would be very cold then You may need a jacket as it would be 10 deg or so That is the best time to experience without heat If you want to do scuba diving and other activities, you have to come in the summer They have lot of activities here. You have day trips, 1 day, 2 day and 3 day packages too You can take trips as per your budget A boat is stopped there for some activity I am sweating so much standing there for 10mts No wonder all went to their room after having lunch All may come out after 5pm You have to get down the stairs to go down from the top deck This is the 2nd floor. Drinking water is for free 2 reusable flask like bottles are kept in the room You can refill from here Some boats charge for drinking water All that would come extra here is if we use the spa or having drinks. We will have to clear the bills before we check out That would be the only extras, rest all are included in our first pay This is the spa room in the cruise You can have a massage here. This is at the back of the cruise.
You can book the jacuzzi and lay in here. You will get a private jacuzzi A nice option for couples I dont think anybody has booked a slot now There is another boat behind too They are taking 2 boats with them 2 boats and lot of life jackets Very well organized. They are so systematic I liked this vibe A jacuzzi at the back of the cruise Awesome There are cruises with pools too Cruises here are not so big But there are some with pools too Roof top room cruises are also there You have of different ranges and budgets You just have to pay for it I came to the room. The rooms and corridors are also fully air conditioned Our room is downstairs There is one more floor upstairs We can sit in the room and enjoy the view too Can sit here and enjoy the view This is moving in good speed It is not moving slow Good one I have seen lot of videos on Ha Long Bay Happy to have come here now Like how house boats are docked in the river, these boats dock in the sea It then stays there the whole night usually Now they are docking to take those for kayaking I guess We are going to kayak now. Have worn our life jackets We are going kayaking now. That is why they have these 2 boats with them
They take us to kayak and other activities in that This is our boat. It looks like a building Nice green water This is where kayaking is done Got down from the cruise and reached the kayaking center You dont have to pay extra for all these. They are included in our rate You just have to take the paddles and wait They will prepare the rest for us We took the jacket from the boat Do you want a yellow one? You have a life jacket But if anything happens, we can blow the whistle I know to swim in the pool, but not in the sea That is because your leg But I can adjust People have begun kayaking We are far away from the shore now What you see are small mountains here People dont live there So it is very calm and quiet here Let me take the red one We have 45mts time We can go anywhere we want We shall go that side We shall go and try breaking the mountain You have to row ' You will row, right? We shall row together If we fall into the water, they will come and take us We are kayaking at Ha Long Bay, Vietnam Saheerbhai, you are rowing fast Nice energy after having food There are rocks to break for the next 10yrs here If the quarry people see the mountains here, all will come here Where are we off to? We rowed a long time and are reaching near the rock What a big mountain There are so many of these kind here All these are small mountains here. This is Ha Long Bay They take you under some of them too This is limestone 1000s of years nature took to have these It is echoing There is an opening there Row towards that side Row only to the left. Then we can turn Stop or it will go and hit there Row to the left or we will hit that mountain Awesome We are so close to it now All these are formed with years of water falling or splashing on it An amazing place How about giving this to the boat and going from there Cant row back now We are below that limestone now I saw some plastic here and there Keep rowing We should row together on the same side Only then it will come out correct No need to go to the right Your thighs ache after a while Why are you going that side. We need to go this side
It is windy here I have to shoot I am the one who is shooting How can I not shoot I shall shoot for you. You row the boat Can see fishes down there You get up first. I shall get up after that We are sweating It was hardworking. All the food I had got digested
This is the boating center. All the boats bring people here to kayak There is a floating jetty here. This is a day cruise boat Somewhat like our houseboat It wont have rooms. Just restaurant and other spaces Our boat kitchen is in it only We shall go back to our boat There is a time for beach now. I am not so interested for that
Shall relax at that time We are going back to the boat Saheerbhai, we are the youngest in this boat See how happy they are Yes. All of them are happy They are enjoying and relaxing Will we be able to go around in this age? It would be awesome We have to see sunset and sunrise Today they are going to a cave We are not going today. We shall go tomorrow morning After kayaking, we came to our room and slept for 30mts By then our cruising began after others go back to the cruise Day cruise boats have returned in the evening Only these kind would be seen now We are going somewhere between the mountains We can see the correct colour of the water during day time When the sun has set, the colour has changed. Cant see the green shade now
Like those boats have stopped, ours will also dock till tomorrow That is how it is I dont think anybody can jump into the water We dont see anybody jumping in So all the boats are going to be parked like this That is how it is Doesnt it look like a building in the middle of the sea ? That boat looks beautiful Some boats look very beautiful When you see some boats, you feel like throwing our away The one far there looks awesome Music and dance on top of that Our boat has also been anchored somewhere here There is a cave there. We will be going to see that tomorrow morning Lot of tourists there The sun is setting there That is a golden boat. Looks like the owner owns a gold shop I liked that one there That looks like an ultra luxury boat Sun has set We dont want wine. We dont drink wine Shall buy chips The shop came to us when we were at the balcony. Is this onion rings?
Dont you have potato chips? Shall take this She is doing business with people at the top deck too She sold her things to people who are on top too Smart business woman When I gave her 1 lakh, she is asking to buy one more to avoid giving back any money She said 1 lakh for this That is 350 INR You get it for less than 50 INR I thought let is be a business and gave 1 lakh, she returned only 40000 She said no change and didnt give back 2 dollars It is ok Let them live but shouldnt cheat people like this Even we are struggling to live. That is why we took this boat Or we would have been in that one After seeing the other cruises, I understand that ours isnt as good as theirs You checked the cheapest and booked Srini, dont feel bad if you watching this video. This is a good cruise but not upto his mark The benefit of this boat is that we can see good ones sitting in this one Have you not gone yet? Good business Dont sink us We have come to the upper deck to have dinner Lot of cruises here There was happy hour at the bar People are enjoying with beer and so They announced at 7pm saying dinner is ready This is the dinner ambiance This is the table given to us Nice.
There is live music performance. 2 people are ready for it Food is being arranged We shall sit here Dinner is not buffet. It is a set menu. Let me see it. It has grilled prawns and lot more. They will serve it at the table
Soup, salad, grilled tiger prawns with lemon grass Many other dishes too This is how they serve dinner It is a fine dining concept here Main course is Australian beef This is premium food. Saheerbhai, all here are couples We too are couples We have candle light dinner too They finished their talk. Food has been served They have served cream of mushroom soup first They begin from soup The round spoon is for soup You should have soup with this Nice soup After soup, they got us salad Mixed green salad with avocado and smoked salmon The blue t-shirt man next to Saheerbhai, He was a part of the American army during Vietnam-America war It was in 1968-69, he was here for 15 months He fought against Vietnam So we have a person who took part in that war here After having salad, they got us tiger prawns This is grilled tiger prawns It is a middle course meal This has come before the main course Turmeric rice with grilled tiger prawns They have cooked it But we have to remove all and have it.
Very tasty Nice After that our main course is here This is Australian beef Little of several dishes that fill your stomach Steak was awesome. I had the whole of it. Finally, the dessert is here Awesome presentation Something in a passionfruit Some cut fruits too Creme Brulee We had food and got out. People are still having food. There is an activity down there. They are catching squid from there. If you want, you can go squid fishing You can catch them if you want Those who are in a mood for it, can go Had food and are going back down The American guy asked if we are couples He asked if we are couples and I said no, we are friends We are the only ones here as two men Rest are all couples Done with the day See you tomorrow with the rest of this Tomorrow we will be going to see a cave and then check out and leave for Sapa From there, we will go to China. That is what our plan is
