And workers with the museum have claimed to see a man in a blue suit lurking in the shadows, staff, had the lighthouse seemed to believe this man is Peter Rasmussen, who served as the lighthouse keeper, from 1901, to 1924. The, longest, stint of any keeper, at the Lighthouse Rasmussen. Was a smoker hated, tourists, and in general was a cranky, guy now a lighthouse keeper, named. Peter is often, caught. Girl flipped her long hair over, her shoulder, and then vanished, a child's. Footprints, made of dirt were once found in the keepers house despite the fact that no children, had been present, on the tour that evening people, also claimed that the locks in the upstairs rooms wore lock and unlock themselves, as if, a child is, playing with them and in, 1965. A guest in the rented keepers House reportedly, saw a young girl in the doorway, to the upstairs, room he was sleeping in she, was wearing a long lace dress and stared at the man with a blank expression for, several minutes before. Wait. Okay. So this is the keepers house quite. Nice a whole, cast of characters are said to be inside here parts of the building are still original the, brickwork in particular, there's. Area of the keepers house that is quite active is the parlor it's here that people have heard coughing, which staff at the Lighthouse assigned, to the spirit of William horn horn, was, one of the first keepers, of the lighthouse and unfortunately. The, first keeper to die at the Lighthouse eventually. Succumbing to his battle with malaria, and tuberculosis in, this room the parlor room it's here that people here, coughs because, he died of, tuberculosis, contracted. In, the Civil War not, I'm not a pretty way to go coughing. Up blood no, which. Is I mean, that makes sense why would echo. Throughout time consumption. Right. Pretty definitive I feel like yeah it could be a ghost coffin I mean that's the sound that I imagine people hear in that room I'll, say this though you know Florida is a very loud place, a lot of noises out there a. Lot. Of noises but the other thing you have to consider is that it is possible that someone could make some sort of noise, or or movement, that if it's a quiet noise is, amplified. By a microphone, and sounds. From a distance, like a louder noise you'd see what I'm saying here maybe. I also, don't. You. Do anything I think we're doing that thing where when I talk you go. Maybe. I just think a cough is a far cry from ooh, look. At my squeaky little shoe moving I think I'm being quiet in the distance but maybe I'm not I'm surprised you didn't ask hats off to you thank you did you bring my hat just for that that's for that well it came in handy but, the most daring of the st. All, right Big Show well we, finally arrived at, the, big gun you know didn't occur to me until now that this is going to be quite physically, taxing this might be the most physically demanding thing we've ever done in this show which isn't saying much I mean yeah we're not physical, dudes no but uh this, is gonna suck the, best ghosts evidence, of all time in my opinion or at least some of it has.

Too much room in fact actually, I was talking to a tor garden the tour guide said they saw something, or someone, on the third landing that's also where a lot of activity, happens so we'll go all the way up to there let's hop up to there oh this. Sometimes I wonder if they are forced by Buzzfeed to say such things (like the daddy or the nipple stuff) to do fanservice. I mean, the context in which Ryan said "daddy" seemed somehow constructed and that he suddenly sounded so surprised about what he said and mentioned people on the Internet... Or is that perhaps their way of making fun of all the shippers out there? I honestly hope the latter is true, because I can still tolerate it better if it's their own way of dealing with the shipping than if it's just about getting more subscriptions and likes. I know that a show that is financed by a media company like Buzzfeed requires a certain business model and that you can only expect a certain amount of authenticity as a viewer. That's completely understandable. But still I hope that this doesn't get out of hand and that in the future there won't be more unambiguous advertising (like in the Dorothy Arnold episode when the CW show was mentioned) or even more forced fanservice. I’ve had a couple of paranormal experiences in that lighthouse. My aunt actually once did a tour there at night, and was walking by some railroad tracks near the lighthouse before it started, and all of a sudden felt someone pull at her ankle, so hard she fell down and actually was dragged a few feet. She also heard a little girl giggle. No one had seen her fall other than her husband, so she stood up and brushed herself off. A little creeped out, but whatever. Then, the tour starts and the tour guide begins talking about the railroad tracks of how a little girl was pulled under the tracks by a train and died. Creeeeeeepy. There was some other things that happened, too.

I lived at Flagler for four years and didn't have any ghost experiences, except my roommate and I did hear someone outside go "oooOOOOooo" like a stereotypical ghost, which was hilarious. That roommate ended up murdering her boyfriend who helped us move in, though, so I wouldn't be surprised to hear about people having dark vibes around those parts.

I went to St. Augustine last New Years Eve for a little get away with my fiance and they did horse carriage rides around the area. The one we went on the people who took us on the carriage ride showed us areas where people have apparently seen or heard spirits in the area, including the Fountain of Youth touring area . Would you guys go back to St. Augustine again and cover more stories about the area? They have so many stories about spirits there. Also, I'm a born and raised Floridian myself and Shane's comment about Florida being loud made me laugh uncontrollably lol #postmortem.

They should check out Arlington Baptist University. It's the sight of the top o' hill terrace, an underground speakeasy from the 1920's. Besides playing host to some big names like Bonnie and Clyde and Al Capone (I think. Don't swear me to that one) the facilities included and underground casino, an escape tunnel connecting to the garden, and elaborate alarm system attached to the front gate, and a secret room where they hid gaming equipment. The tunnel and gate are still there as well as the tea garden. Original buildings also include the stables (Which are now classrooms) and the special stable for a prize race horse. So many spooky stories including hearing footsteps in crawl spaces of classrooms (drop ceilings) little girls giggling in the gym, something growling at you in the gym, (The gym was honestly terrifying) and hearing voices in rooms with nobody in them. Lots of material to use.
my family visits St. Augustine once a year but we haven’t seen anything at the lighthouse yet (we haven’t visited there in a while). but a couple of years ago, my mom and i went for a walk on the beach at night because we’d just arrived in town and we wanted to go listen to the ocean. well, after being there for a little while, my mom goes, “do you see that girl over there?” i didn’t see anyone so i shined my phone’s flashlight over there and there was absolutely no one in that area or at the beach with us at all. my mom said that she was walking near the water and was wearing a white dress. let’s just say it didn’t take too long for us to decide to head back to the hotel. it was pretty spooky.

I think a big issue to them using the spirit box is that they don't give any spirits a decent delay to respond, and that their sessions are too short. Some sessions could take up to an hour because a spirit will sometimes answer a question hours later if not the during the short delayed after being asked something.

I think this series, and more specifically this episode, further proves me and my family's theory that ghosts really only interact with believers and don't so much with skeptics
The best EMF session I've ever seen/heard was when a small group of 2 or 3 people asked questions while 1 person was blindfolded and also wearing headphones that where plugged into the spirit box instead of having a speaker box plugged in. So, the person blindfolded with headphones on then repeated out loud, what they heard while listening to the spirit box. This prevents any outside influences that could potentially effect the EMF spirit responses/session.

I'm 16 and live in Florida but when I was like 7 I went on a ghost tour in St Augustine and the guy giving the tour was telling the story of the 3 girls in the supply cart after he was done I heard laughing and one of the swings by the playground was swinging. Kind of freaking out because I live a city over from St. Aug and growing up we would always take ghost tours around the town. FUN FACT: Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed at the fort where those fights took place!
Also you have to realize , the lighthouse has been made into an attraction so its wise to not rule out certain triggers that may make the noises you call evidence. There could be timed noises behind the walls....for example the cough sounded a but distorted , and I cant say I've heard a ghost cough before but I can say I've heard noises coming from behind a wall, like in construction or just checking out a house to rent , hell even hearing the neighbors get triggered about fortnite ping.

I know many investigators have been to that location and most have left with some form of experience that they felt paranormal. With that in mind, Ryan received the oddest conversation. As if the spirits were shocked he could hear them and confused as to why he was leaving. I was in the basement on a tour there. I was standing in the corner and got bored so I started looking around. Right behind me were two child size wet footprints!!! They werent there when I entered the room and I was right up near the wall, there was no way someone snuck up behind me, not without me noticing. I live in Florida and visit that light house ever time i go to st. Augustine. One time i went late at night about a year or so ago and i was wondering out side with my family using our phones as a light source so we were all able to see. After like 10 or so mins we all heard loud foot steps in leaves behind a tall bush we all rush to go see who or what it was but no one was there and no sounds of any one running away they just stopped to this day we all believe to were with a ghost that night

I'm surprised you guys didnt go into St. Augustine fort. Everyone in Florida can tell you it's one of the better known haunting spots in St. Augustine (although pretty much the whole place is haunted). Being from Florida I can tell you, the fort is definitely somewhere you want to go for a video.

If you close your eyes and listen to the 'voices' on the spirit box, it's unintelligible babble. Without the subtitles, it sounds like literally nothing at all. The spirit box relies on the brain's natural mechanism to fill in unknown's by making you think you've heard whatever it is you want to hear. If you listen to any of the soundbites objectively, it sounds like literally nothing. And the fact you could hear a whole section of a musical piece at 23:43 proves that the spirit box stays long enough on one radio channel for a whole phrase/word to be heard.
