When it comes to technology and art, most people consider them to be disparate topics. In order to bring them together, how, then, do we bridge the two? The introduction was excellent and Arm is an especially rigid company. We are a highly technologically-oriented company. So how do we connect with art? One key point that I mentioned prior is computing. It actually requires a lot of computing power when art works with technology.

In particular, a lot of art is related to visuals or graphics, which demands high computing power. In fact, I think art and technology are getting closer and closer in recent years. AI, for example, has been developing rapidly in the past few years Movie making and music production have been utilizing AI. I’ve heard that some movie trailers are produced by feeding 100 to 1000 datasets to the machine learning model, which will cut a trailer for you when you have a new film. The machine can also replace some painters to make paintings. This is not 100% of course.

But to some extent, the machine can start making paintings after training and learning with a dataset of a very large number of paintings. There are other applications of using technology in art projects. Take drones, for instance. We mostly use drones to take photos or videos from an overhead perspective. In the last few years, we’ve seen in Taiwan and Las Vegas several drone shows at night.

It has been demonstrated again and again that in fact technology and art work closely together. Alright. Speaking of ARM, we providing computing that I’ve just mentioned. Of course, for artists, computing might not be a familiar concept. To put it simply, we know that computers need processors. We all have a laptop, which has a CPU in it.

We’ve all heard of CPU. There are CPUs in our cell phones. CPU is a hardware device that provides computing power. Basically, Arm is the IP (intellectual property) that provides all kinds processors to our clients. Our clients then implement our IP into the actual hardware, which is installed into relevant devices.

OK then In the video celebrating 200 billion arm-based CPU shipped in the market, it of course talks about the Arm’s DNA, including power efficiency. I think this is used in mobile devices. ARM in the beginning is famous for its use in mobile devices as well as collaboration, which is critical.

In fact, what I want to introduce to you today is a model of collaboration with clients. We have also built what we call a computing ecosystem. Lastly, I’ll talk about the sustainable growth, which means growing along with our clients and providing the most advanced and convenient technology for human beings. We currently have over 1975 licenses. These 1975+ licenses are owned by over 580 of licensees, who are our clients. I think the main point of the video we just watched is that we’ve sold over 200 billion arm-based chips.

Since our company's founding in 1990, we’ve sold over 200 billion arm-based chips to the market. Last year alone, we shipped 25 billion chips to the market. They exist in all kinds of devices, most notably cell phones. 99% of the CPU processors in your phone are arm-based.

Drones, which we just discussed, are almost all arm-based. From the smart watches that we wear now, to the smart TVs we watch at home and even cars, we see applications of arm-based devices everywhere. Not long ago, we saw our partner Apple, adopting arm-based CPUs on MacBooks as laptop processors.

Even cloud services like Amazon (AWS)’s server instance start to employ arm-based equipment. This means that whether you are an an artist or a tech worker, from using cell phone or laptop to being on the cloud or a server arm computing is ubiquitous. What we are talking about here is a two-pass business model.

The video mentioned one key aspect about Arm's DNA is collaboration. We pursue a win-win business model. When we provide clients our IP, what makes us different from others? What I want to talk about is our cooperation with ecosystem partners You may find that 99% of all cell phones are arm-based. Why is that? It's because in the early days, we had extensive cooperations with OS vendors such as Android. We worked with Google. At first Android could only be ported on arm-based CPUs.

I want to emphasize that we are offering a new program called Arm Flexible Access (AFA). We came up with this program to deploy Arm's technology into everyone's life more quickly. It will lower the initial capital threshold for some start-up companies. In business, there’s a theory called the “Golden Circle.” The same goes with design.

First one we start from the “why.” MSI is dedicated to the esports industry. We have organized esports tournaments and other forms of support. In fact, this is our core.

Our core is not about making fancy products. No no no… Our core is to support these people, support the pro gamers, support the creators. This is our “why.” We use an immersive approach to find out the “how.” The details are different for each project. I’ll discuss this as we move on.

As to the “what,” as I said earlier, once we find a core, once we know how to find design concepts, the “What” is actually all the products you just saw We’ve got two concepts: The first is that all products must be a good product for every user segment. Secondly, our design starts with the “why.” MSI support users by committing itself to gaming performance. That’s the “what” What else is there other than the “what”? Other than gaming, we’ve also got business & productivity. The third one is content creation, which we have been talking about recently. Which is worth mentioning because In fact, we are now an era where everyone is a micro-creator.

What does it mean to be a micro-creator? For instance, you take a 10-second video and upload it to Facebook. Don’t you want to appear better-looking in the video? You might also want to use the blossom effect for your Instagram stories. In fact, each of us is already creating Therefore, we specifically focus on content creation to find out what immersive design means? So how much are you willing to pay for a good story, a good product. You might ridicule at my expensive car that cost $1 million while driving a very reliable Toyota.

But what if today we’re talking about a story? What if you need the story? What if you like the story? Resonance is very important, everyone. I'll give you an example about the lack thereof that you must still remember. A cell phone used a handsome K-pop star as its endorser, which everyone forgot about in a half year. This is because the K-pop star doesn’t resonate with the phone. They have nothing to do with each other.

Therefore, The “why” and “how” are the key points that I will talk about today. We find artists to cooperate with our design team. Ok Why do we do that? Because we need to have the same concept core. Their concept core has to match that of ours and of our machines, because as I said earlier, we have many segments for each machine.

Which is the segment to them? This is the first element called concept core. Secondly, Our concept cores must have the same target, the same objectives. I can’t sell the Z16 collab model to my granny. She doesn't know Hiroshi Fujiwara. Okay.

With concept core and target, this brings us the third element, which is the great marketing. Marketing is a must. Do you promote MSI or does MSI promote you? Or do we mutually promote each other? How we execute the marketing is crucial. Alright then. If MSI gets really lucky and finds these three cores, There’s going to be something that emerges, namely, immersive design conditions.

When the three cores are overlapped, guys, the middle part is called immersive design conditions. If you can find immersive design conditions, people wouldn’t doubt it and ask “Why should I buy this product?” No, no, no. You just buy it. You know you want it yet don’t know how to put the feeling into words.

There is something that you see and you buy it home. You will show it off to others but won’t talk about how expensive it is. This thing is called a story. Then how do we find the story? We utilize the three elements.

After receiving invitation to the Computex, I summarized all the design techniques in the past two or three years into these three. Because we have found the right point in design understanding. This is what I was going to say about how we cooperation, which requires back and forth communication to find the right understanding. How, then, do we design on top of a good product? It's actually very simple.

Please understand my design concept. Help me highlight the original product, The features of the product. At the bottom of our GE66 are actually hexagonal heat dissipation holes that took our ID team a long time to come up with, a design that increases air intake. In fact, to a certain degree The cells look a bit like a fighter jet, right? After I talked to them This fighter jet became more powerful Unfortunately, this product is currently only available on the rendering. It ended up not going into production. But it doesn't matter.

What I want to tell you is that after we find a way, the design is already complete. You can draw 10,000 lines at will or 100. But you can’t find a line that has a story. Our designs have stories This is the reason. For example, the design of the armor of this dragon warrior comes from GL66.

When we hold the GL66, we were actually holding the core of the design. This is also a very good example Okay, everyone. Lastly, How did we work with Hiroshi Fujiwara? Let me show you something that only the design department can see. Hiroshi Fujiwara gave me this image.

After we got this picture, there were actually many, many problems because it was very abstract The more abstract things are more metaphysical yet less down to earth they are. We couldn’t get it right. At the beginning, my design team quickly come up with something.

guys, If you are a pro designer or organization The lines became hollow. But MSI's proportions are well designed. This is basically not much of a problem. However Mr. Hiroshi Fujiwara wanted this one.

Did you see it? He gave me this image! But how come it became hollow? It was fine though. He speaks Japanese and I speak Chinese. But our common language is the language of design.

After some back and forth communication, we understood that the lightning seal had to be solid. It was all about high contrast. In fact, he was very friendly with us.

We explained to him the difficulty of the production process and so on. But let’s not focus on that. Anyways, Mr. Hiroshi Fujiwara only wanted this design How do you even to it? We did it eventually. Taiwan's industrial design teams are very capable of the production process, but we sometimes need external stimulation like this.

"Can you create a process for this (the frame of a hollow pattern)?" "But I want to do this (solid pattern)." Our back and forth communication gave us the correct way. Some people asked me why the lightning (LOGO) and MSI's ratio is so strange Why is the lightning small? Theoretically, shouldn’t the lightning be a little larger to meet this (MSI word height) ratio? Let me tell you why. Mr. Hiroshi Fujiwara thought what we were doing

was not Fragment Design "crossover" MSI For him, it was Fragment Design "talk” MSI It's that simple For Hiroshi Fujiwara, “telling” the story of MSI is not simply a collaboration. I think the concept he conveyed was something that surprised me during this collaboration He was the one who told to story And then we handled the promotion. That was very interesting, and it's in this little colon. Hello everyone. Welcome to Taiwan Business & Trade Show Webinar-ICT Industry This is Scully from TAITRA.
