I flew 17 HOURS in British Airways' BUSINESS CLASS SUITE

dust myself off travels with biebs is back [Music] so [Applause] so here we are back at london heathrow airport after two years of the kobe pandemic kickstarting travels with biebs with a very special trip we're off on british airways second longest route which including a stopover totals a whopping 16 hours and 50 minutes guess where off to yet it's buenos aires in argentina [Music] oh yeah lovely thank you so much [Music] we will be traveling in business class on this trip with british airways going on its a350 which means you will be in those snazzy new ba suites as the airline likes to call it being the amazing boyfriend i am i've decided to let my girlfriend have the window seat while i am in the aisle poor me but later on i'll be moving to a window seat as you will see so the reason for this special trip is to visit my girlfriend's family who live in the country's second city of cordoba we'll be taking a domestic flight from buenos aires onto cordova with a very low-cost airline indeed which certainly had no frills as you will see in the next video but for now buckle in and let's fly to argentina [Music] on this trip we'll be flying down to sao paulo in brazil which is where we'll be stopping for just two hours with the flight time being just under 12 hours due to a short 30 minute delay we'll be cruising at 36 38 and 40 000 feet before touching down at guarullo's international airport hopefully i pronounce that right in the early hours of the morning after the aircraft is cleaned and the crew swaps over we'll then travel onwards to buenos aires flying over the east coast of brazil and over uruguay before touching down at our final destination over two hours later making it a total of just under 18 hours on the plane so for now let's settle into the flight and take a closer look at that suite seat tour time so uh let's have a look and see what british airways have got to offer us in their club world cabin um on this a350 to buenos aires uh right let's get started so this is the in-flight entertainment screen looks really good a really large screen really surprised by that and it's really responsive uh i can just give you a quick hint of how responsive it is there you go that's really good looking forward to using that um you've got three storage spaces here and the first of which is this one which i will show you uh so in this one uh you see you've got the remote which is also really responsive to control the invite entertainment my amenity kit is in here which i will show you later you've got a usb port there you've got a plug socket there and a second usb port here you've got microphone um pool there which is great for plugging your headphones in so sorry not microphone your headphone port and yeah you've got great space here before your belongings in so that's good onto the second compartment quite a shallow space this but a great space for putting your coins wallet passport tickets everything like that so that's a really good space second space where you're going to see my mug my ugly mug there you go hello um there's a nice vanity over there should you need to use that headphones supplied by ba which i've already opened there looks really good good quality but usually people bring their own headphones for the quality of sound but it looks good anyway so i'll be using that um and yeah you've got a little space there for putting documents etc in there you've got a reading lamp which you just turn on like that which is a really strong light actually so that's really good but there's the seat got a cushion already cloaked up behind me really good quality cushion now um and yeah you've got the armrest you've got this panel here which you use to control your seat so if you want to go into a seated position ready for departing or landing use that first one this one is oh which i can use now actually this one is for going into a quite a relaxed position but not fully flat and then that one press and hold that if you want to go fully flat and you've got another little storage space here which i'm going to put my um gopro bag in really nice storage space your foot rest which is a bit dark i'll put my reading lamp on uh yeah so there's your storage but your thoughts are your footstool um lots of space there actually even my training is on and i've got big feet lots of space to maneuver around so that looks good and here you will find your safety card and your menu and yeah um i think i've gone through everything really and you've got another armrest here which you can bring down and then yeah the door so all in all a really classy looking cabin oh actually one more thing if you have got a companion next to you just swing that open and you can see them and talk to them and it's a really nice little space to have so there's the seat tour looks good [Music] right dinner has arrived i've gone for the um short rib of british beef i believe it's called on the menu with parsnips potatoes vegetables and gravy looks delicious and for the starter though i've ordered i ordered a roasted cauliflower now i must admit i don't know why but i pictured this big cauliflower cheese or something on a massive plate i don't know why i imagined that but yeah it's turned out to be one little sprout of cauliflower um with some sauce i'm not sure what sauce it is um i'll show you a picture of the menu so that you can see exactly what it is but yeah it looks nice and then for the dessert i've gone for the chocolate mousse that looks delicious and then it just i think as a side um when i say side i think that's just another pudding i think i've got a selection of cheese there i'll double check that as well but yeah selection of cheese it makes sense that it will be cheesier and then you got crackers to go with those cheese with those cheese slices and then some bread an assortment of bread actually and a glass of coke oh i love the fact that it's in glasses as well see if you can hear that lovely anyway time to tuck in looks good does it taste as good we'll find out oh yes oh wow it's so soft the beef is succulent vegetable is really nicely cooked really nice potatoes oh why i was tucking into this man totally forgot my starter great single sprouted just cauliflower it in that sauce wow that that sauce packs a punch red pepper dip with chimichurri oh chimichurri that's a popular argentine sauce that is or salsa as they would call it that sauce is delicious right just finished my main and the starter now it's time for the for many people the main part the pudding i'm so distracted right now i've got james bond on here and i'm watching it simultaneously with my girlfriend so if i pause it i'm out of sync really bad so i tried to watch that do this at the same time and they've just dipped the cabin lights so that people can start going to sleep so yeah really difficult but great feel this new james bond film anyway um yeah my chocolate mousse pudding time to tuck in oh that's different tastes like oh that's why of course right i was totally um confused by the flavor profile there because it basically it's i tasted uh raspberries with chocolate but it tastes like a raspberry sauce was at the bottom of the chocolate mousse and that would suit myself and i've just realized in the menu it's a raspberry compote with the chocolate mousse i imagine the raspberry complex is separate in fact it's mixed in with it it's certainly different i'm still trying to figure out if i like it yeah it's really nice right i'm going to enjoy this carry i'm watching this new james bond movie and enjoy right lou review time now i can finally take off my mask because that's still required on planes although you know if you just have lots of drinks you can avoid having to wear it so much um but a new review time um yeah here we go is look at it i love these lights they're quite stylish and then you've got the basic loo you've got the table for changing babies nappies you've got quite a nice little way of using the taps on making it more harsh or more cold on the bin the paper we've got quite a selection here with different uh hand washers you've got wipes you've got an aero freshener nice no founder the average toilet but quite a nice space actually if you think about it like that and yeah these lights quite nice and yeah quite a nice toilet i guess this is time for me to go and do my business and you i'm not gonna be watching that actually one thing before i do go and do my business um should point out where we are in the flight moment so we've got around six hours left now to get to sao paulo in brazil which is our stopover for two hours before we continue on to buenos aires um i think we stay on the plane during that stop which i hope is the case because i'll be quite nice to still enjoy the business class seat and not have to move around carrying bags out and off you know off the plane and back on um but yeah so that means we're about four hours into the flight so far we've had our meal really nice yeah cabbie knights are off everyone's going to sleep i'm going to set my bed up now after i've done my uh business in the loo and then watch one more film in a lifetime position and i'll let you know how that is but now business time not for you in my live flat position now um really nice setup patch too nice little blanket here um really good quality quite heavy actually quite weighty which is good and then underneath me um if you can see it there's a little uh another little blanket there like a little mattress pad um and the pillow horn pillow's really nice really uh plump and comfortable to rest your head on so that's good it's not one of those little cheap lightweight pillows where your head's just like straight flag again it keeps my head elevated so it's really nice pillow that um yeah no um you get a nice bit of space around you i mean in a minute i'm going to bring this armrest down and then that way i'll be able to spread my arm out more um and yeah i think if i could try and turn them to my side yep yeah it's quite easy to turn on to my side actually um but bear in mind actually i'm quite a skinny person so yeah really comfortable really nice um setup here and yeah so what i'll do is i'll probably watch a film or something and then settle down and try and get some sleep just before we watch a video i think now would be a really good time actually to show you the flight entertainment system which i'm really impressed by actually um you've got this little uh remote you can use which you just pull out from the bit of storage space you've got here well i was gonna label up this live blood position gonna have to reach over and touch the screen all the time you can use this which is really responsive actually um compared to most other planes i've been on before um but what i will do is i'll show you on the screen just so it's much bigger and easier for you to see um so yeah this is what it looks like um just watched the new james bond film when i say new slightly new no time to die great films really sad ending now but um i guess it was to be expected but really good film anyway um that's showing you um all the information for the flight showing you that we're just over six hours um left to go we've got six hours left to go to sao paulo we arrived there for 4 18 in the morning two hours stop over um i really wish they do the altitude in feet um yeah the meter me converting from me to two feet will never be my strong point my failed maths in case you can guess at school you've got the home you've got entertainment this is where most people head when they're on a flight um the movies and you've got quite a few and you've got a great um mix of films here you've got loads of new films actually and yeah look really good mix you've got tv on here as well you've got your hbo you've got your maid in britain your box sets won't be the wonder if they've got only fours and noises on here i'm a big only force narcissist fan maybe it's a little bit dated for quite a new um ife like this um yeah not there um yeah tokyo i'm never gonna watch it when jeremy clarkson is no longer in it you've got audio option i'm guessing these are your podcasts and stuff um i'm not really a podcast listener but if you you enjoy it then you've got quite a few options there games i remember that one when i played on my phone a few years back angry birds got battleship george all the big dick all the big games are quite famous um chess crosswords mickey's house party that's a new one on me um uh pac-man everyone knows pac-man tetris you've got loads of options for games here actually um sky flyers watch that i've never seen sky flyers um oh i'm guessing these are the kids yeah might be wrong do correct me who i am but i think yeah these are the kids wow great selection for kids as well um you've got even tv for the kids you've got audios for the kids you've got games for the kids wow that's a really good selection for kids and there are two kids on this flight today in business class i can hear them they're quieting down now so it's all right then you've got the sharp which yeah it's got everything you need i never really buy things on planes because they're just for me expensive and if there's anything i need before i go somewhere i would have bought it right now i don't need to buy in the middle of a flight but they've got great selection if you do need to buy some emergency makeup or if you need to buy some emergency fragrance um yeah no you've got loads of great selection right the map this is the one that most out geeks look forward to not just dive getting character i think many general flyers love watching uh the map really good map actually though i mean like i said this ifv is really responsive i'm not even touching very hard and it's responding really well so yeah let's go to where we are now we can see we're kind of approaching the halfway point uh on to uh brazil and then we will be flying on from sao paulo down to around here um in argentina the argentina's capital of buenos aires and there are quite a few other features with this map you can see it in that mode that mode actually you know that's quite a nice mode that is you can kind of see that's amazing you can even move it from this position you can see where you're near uh a bunch of items i have never heard of but still that looks really good can you zoom out oh that's amazing you can zoom in oh god that's really good responsive now um let's carry on looking at the other what have i done now it's gonna say let's look at the other features but i can't even oh great lovely so you can see it from that mode out the window mode which is actually as close to a window view as i'm gonna get singers i met my girlfriend sit next to the window so this is my window view fair enough then you've got quite cool pilot's view showing that we are finally the right metrics for me uh in feet 38 000 feet at the moment that's quite nice um cruising altitude there going on we've got this is quite good as well you've got that view so you can see which direction you're heading in how far you are lovely oh i think this is my favorite feature yes definitely so on this map you can basically see where the time is everywhere in the world and you can see what time zone you're flying in right now and if you sweep across you'll see where it's daylight where it's approaching evening time on the west coast of the us and yeah this is really cool i just love seeing this sort of mode where you can see the time zones uh marrying up with where you are at that point so yeah it makes up i guess for the fact there is no live tail camera but you know i still would prefer that but this is still a great second option i don't know what this is um oh cool that's amazing so actually you can know what i don't know lovely but you can select an option whereby you zoom in on any city you want just to see a bit of information about the selected city um sao paulo for example showing a beautiful skyline there in brazil let's see what it says for buenos aires shall we that'd be quite nice um there you go lovely feature and i think i've just exhausted all the features there so yeah really good really good um ife um like i said really responsive really large loads of options great films on there you will not have be left with that with uh be left board with nothing to do this will keep you entertained for sure throughout the entire flight and yeah a really good ifv and um yeah time for me to settle in enjoy a bit more of this ifv and um maybe watch another film before i try and get some sleep and uh yeah settle down [Music] not long just woken up um i only managed about an hour's sleep i think if that i weren't too tired anyway but unfortunately the entire cabin is pretty much woken up by a screaming child um during us sleep meaning hardly any of us managed to get any sleep at all i know opinion is split between many people on whether children should be allowed in business class you know their parents can afford it and their parents want to enjoy the luxury of it you should stop them but when you've got a child yeah it becomes a maybe a different matter but um i don't know after tonight i think i'm on the side of don't bring them into business um but you know what i don't want to offend anyone on that it's just unfortunately tonight we've been unlucky another thing and this is something i knew before we were boarding because the only two seats available next to each other the price that the deal that we were offered on the va app which i'll explain later um there was only two seats available and they were in row 11 and it's a and e 11 a and e so a the window c e here the ilc are right next to the toilet um so it's right next to the toilet um there's a result every minute i think you might just hold it there but every minute you'll hear the toilets flushing you'll hear people banging the door open banging it closed um and that can wake you up quite a lot um hence why i've got these uh ear buds in um although not even they're helping much because you can just feel the vibration at the door closing opening and the toilets flushing um again something that we knew that before we came on board to be in a shoe you know look at the positives see it's comfortable it's good you know it's easy to get some sleep if you're not woken up by screaming children in the toilet um got great um space here and the door being closed it gives you a really nice feeling of seclusion and privacy um yeah i don't know if you could just about see it in the dark there but yeah it's really nice though um so yeah all good so um an hour and 47 left arriving at just gone 25 minutes past four in uh the morning in brazil won't be too long until we start descending and especially won't be too long until we're served breakfast so looking forward to that and yeah all good onwards and upwards [Music] [Applause] [Music] so so the um the cabin lights slowly starting to dim on into a sort of a sunrise uh color effect which is quite nice to adjust people to the um local time that we will be arriving in which is early morning so that's quite nice um so i figured this would be a good time to have a little challenge um the call flight attendants channels so i'm gonna press the call bell order a drink basically just to see how long it takes for them to come to me and take my order basically there we go let's see still water and cranberry juice please yeah sure that'd be great thank you i'm just about to offer you some breakfast great lovely thank you all right so i took a couple of minutes i think i did but uh yeah a bit long that was but i'm assuming like i could just sit then they're uh preparing breakfast for everyone now so maybe that's why i'd be up breakfast has arrived um yep that's great we've got sausage with scrambled egg tomatoes and mushrooms i'm not a big fan of mushrooms i'll be leaving those to the side um but yes i've got croissant as well a warm croissant that's quite nice um we've also got yogurt with fruit and when i say fruit i mean one raspberry one blackberry or blueberry and one strawberry or even a quarter of a strawberry um and then you've got orange juice and i got a tea which i ordered um so yeah looks great let's tuck in english breakfast time oh really nice i'm not the kind of tomatoes i've got to say one did i read taurus from the girlfriend i need to be you more with them so i'll try and eat them with a bit of scrambled egg to enjoy a bit more yeah tomatoes are never going to be my thing pastry time it's still warm which is really nice with some butter and jam in there as well as a croissant should be last but not least is the yogurt yeah nice chocolate just finished my english breakfast um great meal 10 out of 10 really warm really tasty full of flavor um yeah can't go wrong really good now finish off with a nice cup of tea cheers right time for the amenity kit let's have a look and see what's inside um this is made by the white company as usual for exclusively for british airways um yeah let's tuck in let's see what's inside all right this might be a bit fiddly to do single-handedly but hopefully it'll be okay right so yes you get the obligatory um flight socks that i've now just ruined lovely that's great always nice to have a tight tight bag with a ziploc very close to it never mind um still there's your flight socks nice and warm lovely a an eye mask there we go well quite a large one as well very impressive uh what else do we have in here we have ear plugs don't be alarmed that they're opened they weren't already opened by anyone else they were open by me earlier on restore gentle moisturizer there's your lip balm toothpaste and toothbrush lovely that'll be very useful too oh that's a lip balm what's that then post point what's a post point when you say i don't try and get that focused if any of you can enlighten me as to what that is that would be great and i think that is it oh no a pen oh lovely a pen always comes in handy when you're traveling there we have it that is our amenity kit right there well stopped got everything you need really good [Music] [Music] [Music] welcome to brazil um here we are in sao paulo uh we've just uh arrived here we're going to be here for about an hour or two before we then fly on to our final destination of buenos aires um quite a lot of people got off here actually for sao paulo so there's not too many of us in club world cabin at the moment but yeah um all the cleaners have just boarded the plane to now clean the cabin before the next lot of crew get on and the old crew disembark and they'll be the new crew that then takes us forward onto but our series you might i'll be i'll show you what um the site at the moment of cleaners everywhere um yeah like i said they're just giving the plane a good clean and uh yeah so here we are in brazil for an hour two and then onto buenos aires right while we're waiting here in sao paulo should we ever walk through the cabin yeah why not so here we are in business class let's take a walk through the other business class side so this is the back part of the business class which is separated by these walls here you've got the front parts where we are in the back part of business let's now walk through premium economy which looks something like this okay quite got a lot of leg room good wide seat you've got your cup holder there i'll try and keep quiet now soon as we're walking through where some people could be sleeping and then here is the the economy class seats we are walking through nice so yeah as you can see is the economy class product we are walking through thank you all right just being careful not to disturb anyone here because a lot of people are asleep but yeah this is these this is a great way this is row 41 is brilliant for the leg room absolutely brilliant so yes carrying on uh these are the remaining economy suits quite nice padded seats as well you get a blanket looks good once again leg room seems to be best at the front here number four number 30 you get two seats in fact 31c is quite a good one as well because you've got the leg room here more i know a lot more economy sorry more premium economy now back to the premier economy and then straight onto the business class seats so yeah let's walk through the whole cabin and we're back to our seat which is 11 e so why are we still here in sao paulo there is one thing i already want to sum up about this flight um and it's not something i want to say lightly because see british airways is quite famous for providing a really good service the cabin crew always and every flight i've been on have been polite courteous kind funny and they'll go out of their way to help you i've always experienced that i know many many people that have two but on this flight that's changed and it's a real shame i was hoping that during the whole first length of the journey before coming to sao paulo that the service would improve as it went along or as i'm hoping now but it will improve on the second leg when the new cabin crew members come on i'm still hoping that's the case but during the first leg i would say the service was slow um the cabin crew hardly ever came up to me my girlfriend to ask if we wanted any more drinks in fact i don't know why i'm saying they hardly they never did not once did they ask if we want more drinks again i don't know if this is the norm um they were late to delivering the drinks that we asked for we had to press the call bill asked for drinks and when we did ask them they took a while um and yeah of course they're going to interrupt me there we go um yeah so yeah um it's just i don't know it's weird to say that because i've never said this about british airways before i know i hoped i never would have to but the service has been lacking um like i said slow up delivering drinks not asking how we are even not asking if we need anything asking if we need drinks what i feel is the case is there is not enough crew on this flight there's literally a handful of crew serving a large number of business class passengers the business class was full on this flight back three seats i think and the staff just weren't there there just weren't enough of them um so yeah i don't want to take out on the staff maybe they're just understaffed um and if that is the case i hope british airways will sort out you need to get more staff on these flights so they can serve their customers better and deliver what british airways is famous for customer service so um yeah it's a shame to have to say that but i'm hoping on the second leg which has just popped up on my uh screen now next leg on to buenos aires will be better fingers crossed and i'll let you know i'm about to give you another seat tour and there's a good reason for it um here in sao paulo we are just about ready to go now um but we've just finished boarding people uh here in brazil and there are plenty of seats left in business class so i took it upon me to ask a cabin crew member if we could move to um another couple of seats so i could be a window as well and they said yeah move around do as you wish so brilliant so here i am window seats and a brilliant window seat as well because you've got two windows um so yeah i've now got a window c as well as my girlfriend who she's got a single one there um so yeah nice brilliant so i can give you a kind of another little mini seat although it's pretty much the same um nice foot rest you've got your control panel for your uh seat there you've got the same storage spaces same reading lamp um yeah everything is the same the only difference is you can just see some slight wear and tear um yeah i mean it's you can't help that over time there is going to be wear and tear scratches there and probably the most uh the biggest wear and tear sign there is is this if you can see the floor watch this it's literally just flip-flopping everywhere um so yeah i mean it's things that you kind of just need to keep on top of with maintenance but like i said obi over the years they're bound to get scratches here and there but fingers crossed they can keep on top of that and um it doesn't get much worse so yeah no same seat but this time two windows so we'll get some brilliant takeoff views um london views and buenos aires so i'm really looking forward to that let's go so please do let us know and we hope you enjoy our short fight with us today right we're back up to 30 000 feet in the air on the way to buenos aires uh currently passing along the coast of brazil there um passing places i've never heard of i must admit but anyway um beautiful sights i'll tell you what coming out sao paulo is beautiful really enjoyed seeing that anyway um the snack has arrived so we've got a choice of either a cheese and tomato panini or cheese and ham panini i've got a bit of cheese and ham you also get so here's a cheese and ham panini you get yogurt you also get some fruit and a fairy cake i like to call them and i asked for a cup of tea i'm going to tuck in and i'm sure it will be great um i'm going to speak after this about the cabin crew because remember i remember i said that i hope that the second leg the new cabin coulda came on board i was hoping they would be a vast improvement on the first well of yes they are but for now time to tuck in and see how it tastes i'll have to hold it now there's nothing to lean it on so yeah sorry for the camera work oh that's lovely the cheese is really nice lots of ham got some garlic in there as well some herbs really nice i'm gonna enjoy this well i'm gonna finish this all and i'll talk to you about how amazing this cabin crew is right so let's talk about the service on british airways and what a way to explain what i'm about to say than being offered for the first time my whole flight in the whole 17 hours i've spent on this plane the first time i've been asked if i want another drink brilliant so good shower service the first leg service wasn't great it wasn't awful just wasn't great however this leg from sao paulo to buenos aires the staff are worked up on they're courteous kind polite funny they come over asking do you need anything else do you want another drink how is everything they smile they make you feel welcome at home and they make you feel like nothing can trouble them you can ask them for anything first leg i feel like asking for a t was a bit too much this is the british airways uh service that's famous that's amazing that we love it that's the reason people fly british airways some people prefer to fly british airways over you know some of the more leading competitors around europe and beyond because they got impeccable service and for many people service is more important than the hard product so no it's wonderful so when i tuck into my fairy cake which i've got here and my cup of tea and uh sit back relax and i think there is yeah one hour and 33 minutes until we arrive in buenos aires and yeah looking forward to it [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] right this amazing trip is now coming to an end sadly we are literally just 20 minutes away um they've just put on the lights for fastening your seatbelts uh coming for coming for landing literally as i speak um cabin could prepare for landing and yeah we'll be able to build our series in 20 minutes probably looks a bit so yeah looking forward to it but sad to be ending this amazing journey all in all the whole journey has been great anyway apart from the you know service not being top-notch in the first leg we still enjoyed it and uh yeah it's all good so yeah 20 minutes to landing enjoy [Music] [Music] thank you very hola here we are really good and despite not being able to sleep after 17 hours on a plane we disembarked feeling like we'd only done half of that journey so that's a great sign surely so yeah there we go hopefully
