I Built an Iceberg base on the Hardest server in Rust...
[Music] welcome to a solo rust adventure and today i'm going gonna be doing something pretty fantastic i'm gonna be living on an iceberg but that's not all because i like to torture myself today i'm gonna be playing solo on the biggest server in rust rustoria main and as of right now just 10 seconds after four swipe this server has 1 000 players and i'm gonna be playing solo with no blueprints on four swipe living on an iceberg i really don't know why i'm doing this to myself but i'm doing it so you don't have to and and i mean that don't do this it's not gonna be fun i assure you but with all unlike most other wipes i actually had a bit of a plan see living on an iceberg was not going to be easy and i knew that i would need to set up multiple bases around the map near different monuments and farming locations allowing me to collect resources quickly before transporting them all at once to the iceberg and so my first plan was to get bags down around the map in specific locations before heading to the iceberg to lay the foundations of my base [Music] oh i don't know what i'm doing on this server it's probably gonna kill me oh these are the new train tracks oh that's awesome they actually look very clean i believe you forgot they're being added this update that's kind of cool okay that is enough cloth for my first bag that's good i'm also gonna get myself a hat [ __ ] probably gonna die before i get a base down but i will okay first bag down by this gas station that is good that's actually a really cool skin okay i'm just gonna see if there's any loot here there's probably already people here but uh [Music] oh yeah there are there's a lot of people in there and they've got crossbows okay yep nope not for me [Music] oh that guy getting i think that guy's about to get mauled by a bear normally that's me oh he's dead i think he had a tool on him i'm gonna go loot him all right let's see what he had was it worth the wait you know what i'll take it i had a pickaxe as well perfect just what i needed i go deep on this guy oh no he had an airlock i did not want to get trapped in there another bag down by this gas station [Music] oh my gosh certainly people everywhere man oh i'm gonna try the uh the zip line this is also another new feature this is so cool i mean i don't know what i'm gonna use it for but uh oh i guess i'm already using it to escape these dudes oh this is so cool [ __ ] it let's go this way whoa there are people everywhere this server is crazy man oh my god where'd you come from i might be able to grub here [Music] die arrows oh no he has a teammate [ __ ] okay i'm dead yeah ah while dying was unfortunate i had managed to get some bags down in the area i intended my next plan was to head towards the east coast of the map and set down a boat base that i would use to travel to the icebergs some dudes are up to shenanigans over here [Music] oh is this a free kill [Music] oh my gosh that is a lot of cloth thank you [Music] wow that was a easy snowball all right let me use that cloth to make some bags and set up a base let's be in the naked spawn over here oh pig i'm gonna kill that for the low grade thank you oh there's a boat oh [ __ ] i might just go straight to the iceberg okay i need to farm while my initial plan had been to set down a boat base on the coast finding this boat gave me the opportunity to head straight to the iceberg oh no you don't that is my boat stealing my boat okay i definitely need to keep a watch on this boat i think that guy lives in that base on the shore it's probably going to come back for it so i got to keep a watch for him ah this lag oh yeah he's coming back so scare him off oh clean yeah same guy he wanted the boat screw it that is enough i'm heading to the iceberg with enough resources for a small starter i didn't want to wait any longer it was time to head to an iceberg ah we're finally going to the iceberg i think i'm gonna head to this one first and see what it's like we made it without dying oh these are so cool man i don't know why i've never thought to build on one of these before you know what i'm thinking though i feel like this one is just a little too far away i think maybe if i had it for that iceberg in the distance that might be a better idea i'm really sad if i die now because of this decision but i think it's worth it you know what this is gonna be my home this is the one i don't care it's beautiful i love it this is my home campfire down we're vibing the iceberg is ours oh this lag is killing me laptop gaming it's no fun i can tell you that pc secure you love to see it just gonna secure it with a double door perfect what a view though i actually cannot believe how far away this iceberg is use the campfire storage for now i had now claimed the iceberg with a tool cupboard of my own my job now was to head back to the shore set up some small bases and begin the farming grind and eventually transfer all the resources back to the iceberg base let's see if i can grab some wood here i think i need to set up a campfire it's quite cold oh oh no oh no did we trade oh come on that's so frustrating oh well the snow was a harsh environment and the resources were scarce because of this i decided to set up my first boat base in the south east of the map where there'd be plenty of cloth and food all around time to make a boat base oh come on man these guys are still chasing me how am i alive okay these guys are actually awful no not a wolf as well bro oh gosh oh this isn't going well for a sneak attack oh he saw me i bet he's got a friend that he's running to yeah i'm not gonna bother chasing not worth my time [ __ ] do you eat have a friend no come to papa fall into my trap i dare you too easy come here yogi i don't have time for you okay you just ran straight up that and now he's running away oh thank god okay if i can make a base now that is a furnace this guy can leave me alone thank you door and a key lock like it boat base time no more waiting around that will be the boat itself and then we'll just go with the 2x1 nothing too fancy we don't need anything special [Music] yeah not so fast now are you [ __ ] [Music] okay tc down we got fancy farm things are looking good boat house nice there's the wood for a storage box which skin do i go with today [Music] all right i'm gonna craft up some low grade as well myself a furnace cooking looks like we've got some neighbors too many skins i don't know which to choose we'll go with that one all right now we got some metal cooking [Music] up you do oh okay take a free kick i don't know why that guy deceived he obviously had a rough time some more farm for the tool cupboard at some point i'm going to travel back to the iceberg with a bunch of loot but i want to build up some scrap first just so things are a bit easier [Music] two furnaces smelting metal things are good the wolf meat cooking i'll go for a metal double door just so i feel a little bit safer know that i'm not gonna get raided anytime soon there's four swipes and no one has explosives i think i'm gonna head to the iceberg for the sunrise oh yeah i love this so much man [Music] this is awesome get that campfire on admire the vibes i can't wait to move in here properly that is a that is a screenshot right there it does feel kind of lonely out here though i won't lie my boat and iceberg base were both secured and access to wood stone and metal was plenty all that was left now was scrap and components it was time to enter the chaos of the inner map oh man this gas station's crazy what is going on okay another time oh we got rads in here it's kind of weird [Music] you know what let's take the zipline to airfield oh wait no i think i'm gonna get radiation this might have been a really bad decision oh no please like oh no [ __ ] okay that was a mistake i have almost 100 rats [Music] what okay i don't know how that guy's dead good little farming run i've got to build up lots of stones so i can take it to the iceberg and then just expand my base a ton [Music] scrap is going to be really hard this fight just aren't many barrels just too many players on one server seem to be farming every barrel these zip lines are so cool i actually love them so sick oh that would have been embarrassing going to a naked whoops another bag down by airfield oh hello you oh my god these frame drops and i missed oh that's better come back [Music] there we go thank you for the kids sir it's a shame you didn't have any scrap that's kind of what i was after you know what i'm just gonna head into our field for a bit of an explore oh not even a crate up here that's so frustrating [Music] oh oh oh that's not good oh no [Music] he's tommy oh no come on three hits man i can't believe people have tummies already that's insane oh battery that's good oh my god revolver that is huge okay i'm going home i'm going home not even gonna recycle if i can get that researched that is so good come on so close i think i made it getting a revolver home was the first key to my progression all i needed now was the scrap to research it which in the area that i lived would be surprisingly difficult i'm just gonna keep heading back to this gas station oh let's go crates again there is someone in there but if i can just loot and then run away each time yeah this is this is gonna be my best way of getting scrap i think i could do it setting up a little base by that gas station actually just doing quick farms so oh he's got a metal pickaxe oh if i can steal that from him that would be so good you're not running away from me oh night night oh let's go oh my gosh that's a lot of stone and comes right now she needs to get us home please don't die oh come on man this is so annoying they've got sars what are the chances they're just right by my base when i need to get home they've got m2 [Music] okay okay dude yeah this uh i kind of knew this wasn't gonna be sit down we take those wins after after dying over and over we take these little wins that's what we like thank you all right it's fine you know what i was expecting to die a lot on this server it was always going to be rough unsurprisingly playing solo on a server like this was not easy i realized that if i were to progress fast setting up a small base right next to the gas station would be key ah come on man just leave me alone i'm a naked with a rock [Music] all right that is enough for a little [ __ ] jack literally just a one by one as close to the gas station as i can i'm just gonna use this i'm just gonna constantly run naked just like loot crates and stash it here that way i can just get scrap fast all right well the one by one is down we got a respawn point nice oh this server man i actually can't it's so dumb another one [Applause] oh my okay there are people right at the bottom of the zip line over there yeah i don't think i'm gonna go that way i can't believe how many people have guns already almost home okay i'm glad i built this base that's a good little bit of scrap first bit of scrap in this base once i build up a bit i'll just take it all to the boat base in one run just make an airlock just like that i already don't want to get deep done hello don't mind me just building the one by one let's get back down by this lighthouse as well i'll occasionally spawn here to see if there's a green card i shot quite a lot of farm in this base now i'm gonna head over to the iceberg soon i get these think loaded up again with metal gotta keep the metal frags melting all day it's always important let's farm it over here [Music] oh that does a lot of damage oh oh my gosh that was close that is huge though is gonna be so helpful all right well we've got a nice big that's pretty cool i'm gonna head to train yard actually check it out okay unsurprisingly a large group are holding it don't mind me [Music] oh my gosh [Music] get some spare clothes [Music] and a metal pick helpful [Music] oh okay [Music] oh that guy didn't stand a chance [Music] oh nail gun thank you and across here [Music] oh double barrel blueprint would be nice [Music] you know what things were really looking up it was quite a rough start but uh it's not been too bad picking up [Music] what the [ __ ] man one solomon he's been farming the road oh so worth it i knew we'd been farming [Music] hey we're really building up some good scrap now in this base i'm gonna go do some recycles [Music] bro this supermarket is insane why there's so many people oh [Music] oh my gosh it's a massacre so many bodies oh there are more oh wow [Music] okay what oh they're dead okay [ __ ] [Music] oh nice [Music] see that's the power of having a base like that i just got 60 scrap in literally 10 seconds so helpful okay i'm gonna recycle that and then head back to the boat base [Music] so far my wooden shack next to the gas station have been pretty successful i decided it was time to make my first transfer run from the shack to my boat house if i die on this run i may quit rust entirely i will never return almost there oh thank god i needed that dub it feels good man now i can learn the review craft myself a workbench i needed that i really needed that okay we're looking good we're gaming lots of metal frags some good scrap now too hello i'm not trying to be friendly-ish with that neighbor i don't want him to offline i think it is time finally for a workbench there we go and now with that i can craft myself a research table boom squeeze that in there put in the revolver oh yeah and ammo as well hey not too bad first couple hours of four swipe got ourselves a review not the fastest progress in the world but i am playing mean as a solo oh dear right i think it's time to actually build the boat part so we'll go for a double door there and then go with full high walls i'll leave that top bit open actually for now i think i'll just put a shelf for some extra storage later so many frame drops this four swipe i don't know if anyone else has been noticing that maybe it's just me but uh my game has not been performing too well i might have to turn off the ambient occlusion in the high graphics for once as much as i love it i might have to come off this guy been farming you know what he had a bit oh pipes i could drop revolvers now that's huge thank you good sir gave me exactly what i needed wait there's a boat there's a boat this is huge i really need to get that quickly hell yeah it's my boat now let's go nice i could do the garage door but awesome i'll put a shelf there just with some boxes probably do an airlock i actually love having a boat base it's been such a long time since i've been built anywhere near the water it kind of feels new which is nice yay with a boat now acquired i was finally able to access a whole new resource farming the sea time to go scuba diving i haven't done this in a while [Music] let's go on an adventure [Music] there's a large box over there you can sometimes get good stuff okay what have we got not bad good comps another sword [Applause] not a bad run [Music] another sword okay [Music] oh diving site [Music] see what we got down here this one's a bit deeper why do i not see any crates that's kind of weird [Music] oh [ __ ] me shark okay oh my god that scared me oh [Music] that is the first time i've ever been attacked by a shark in rust and i am terrified don't ever want to go in again all right time to go home after this barrel pile i think it's been a decent run oh a chainsaw that is so helpful use that chainsaw to get enough wood for a uh for a compound actually as long as i don't lose it it's kind of hard to find wood on this server because you just get jumped immediately with some last minute farming of wood and stone i was now ready to head back to the iceberg for good all right one more farm run [Music] i think that'll do that's quite a lot of farming just gotta get myself some wood now i really hope i don't get jumped doing this [Music] oh i see you i see you sneaky man i think that was my neighbor if he comes out of his base i'm gonna give his stuff back just to show like a little bit of truce [Music] he's gonna chuck his bow back just to show that like you know i'm not i'm not too bad you don't need to be killing each other that sort of thing might save me with plenty of resources built up it was finally time to return to the iceberg and expand my base before eventually getting ready to fully move in my neighbors outside what's he doing let's go ignore him for now i don't know that i can trust him yet so uh we'll just keep it chill okay i think the coast is clear time to go after so long i am returning [Music] that is quite a trek to this iceberg it's literally in the middle of nowhere i love it so much i'm not even near any oil rigs so no one's even gonna go past ever and the base still stands not really surprised i'd have been shocked if someone had raided it i think i'm just going to build the uh the wiljam classic the solo base i made over a couple of years ago now you know what it's still pretty tanky still strong even now so uh that's what we're going to build today it's got a metal ball this one a little bit more safe oh that skin matches the uh the iceberg actually ah feels good man we're out here all alone no risk no worry this is literally my whole ice lake ice lakeberg i love it man let's get myself a large box [Music] i'll put the door there instead for now just to open up the room a bit i'm not sure if i'm gonna be able to build a boat base here actually if anyone in the comments knows how to build a boat based on an iceberg let me know yeah i'm not sure how to do this would this work like if i removed the middle one could i just push the boat onto it hang on oh this looks quite deep actually i'll try this this might work water level changes it's kind of awkward hmm i mean i guess i could just leave my boat in my other boat base every time i log off maybe let's see if i drive my boat up here with that work i think it might decay there because i think it might be on land even though it kind of is underwater now [ __ ] up ellen oh that's gonna be chilly i don't know let's just uh get that water off me i think i'm just gonna drive the boat back to my boathouse for the night come on you i'm pretty sure it'll still be here when i log back in soon i don't think it decays if it's in a boathouse which is nice let's go home soon the iceberg will be my home though i don't have a diving tank but i might actually be able to loot these crates let's see can i do it without drowning oh i think i did it i'm drowning okay i was like all right oh there's a shark and that wraps up the first part of my iceberg
