ESCAPE FROM CHRISTMAS
it was the night before christmas nah that's too basic here's how the story goes have you ever heard of the escape from christmas cabin oh it's the best place to be if you don't like christmas of course and who would have thought that eight young adults were chosen by fate to get invited there it's almost like a movie plot except this one's for real what can you expect from the cabin well not much just everything you need to get away from this christmas cheer you keep hearing about i mean what's the point right people never change and sometimes more things change the more they stay the same don't you ever just wake up sometimes and look out the window thinking here comes that time of the year again when people are so cheerful they exchange gifts there's so much love in the air that you question whether it's real or not these ain't know what i'm talking about and i'm sure you will too soon enough oh but christmas is my favorite holiday it's got so much magic i hear you say it's true it's got its magic but magic comes in different shapes and forms and this one this one is different it's the magic of getting away of ignorance it's the magic of wanting more than the generic holiday cheers tree decorating and cookies this gavin has got it all so what do you say are you ready to escape from christmas why are you going so fast get out of my way jesus christ really you could have just waited i'm sorry but as far as i know the one who drives the car causes the accident but it could be the other way around no it's ignorant drivers like you that cause accidents because you small world it's quite a coincidence to see us all gathered here um do you know if there's anyone who can show me where my room is good question you see i have no idea what do you mean well apparently we're here alone exactly but don't worry because i can give you a special tour what do we do if no one comes we'll manage it somehow after all someone left the cabin open he probably just went out to get some yes so leave your things somewhere and let's get started hello and welcome everyone let's start with the beginning shall we my name is tim and i will be your host today this wonderful young lady is called joy and the lovely lady next to her is sarah sarah yes and we also have here a boy named ethan but mind you because he can certainly run his mouth yes how about you what's your name uh i'm max max lucas nice to meet you emily wonderful now that we're all done with the introductions i say we shall say whoa yes let's go let's move on to it well that was the living room and this is the kitchen this is the bathroom and here we have well i don't actually know what are they locked exactly we have room number one locked over here followed by room number two also locked and finally room number three yeah you guessed it a lot as well and that is the end of the tour thank you sincerely for your attention my dear guests well it seems like tim will need to give an extra tour today yeah open the remaining doors perfect now we have two i guess i still have to try mine let's go boys the girls need to be done okay now that we've got the rooms where is everybody sleeping well there are eight of us and three rooms so we could stay in two groups of three and one group of two but in the same time there are four boys and four girls so we should split in three groups of two and then two will stay on the couch or there will be one girl and one boy who will sleep in the symbol okay but how are you gonna pick who sleeps with well by the color of the cards ah that would mean i am staying with you and tim right yes exactly well i have a red card whoa you're staying with the princess me with him you're kidding no no you don't have to hurt our boy's feelings you didn't choose you two were just destined to be with each other it's easier if you do it according to the cards and it's one night right if it's that easy why don't you stay with him okay why don't we draw to see who stays moments away from christmas come on yeah that holiday lost all its magic this year what do you mean well last year around this time i got together with my boyfriend and this year he dumped me right before our one year anniversary do you know what it's like to have your heart broken and then to have to see all of these couples walking around hand in hand getting each other gifts no i don't and i'm sorry it's fine but why did you guys come and if you like christmas so much how come you came here alone well it's not a big of a deal for me i celebrate christmas with my grandma every year but she prefers to decorate or exchange presents she likes going to church and that's important to her i came here for change for me it's kind of the other way around my mother gets dressed every year trying to do a lot of christmasy things she's obsessed with everything being perfect and it never turns out that way i mean i don't think there was a single christmas where we didn't have a fight you like christmas don't you not really every christmas all my relatives gather at my home and you know they just they just talk random subjects and i just sit there and listen they get mad at me for not talking at all so yeah that's that's why i'm here i guess it can't be that awful can it might not be bad for you max what do you mean for me you're more of a talkative person you like to talk you like to put yourself out if you had to talk about freaking santa claus you could for hours i just can't see that's what i don't like about the holidays everybody thinks that this magic will help them be nicer or something like that they think that if they buy a gift for somebody everything will be all right it's not like that we need to be realistic okay and don't even get me started with the fake stories that make everybody lose the vision of reality okay wait a minute the magic of the holidays is a thing whether you believe it's real or not for you it might be i mean you're a dreamer and don't get me wrong i don't have a problem with that but i just want to see things more clearly but don't you like to watch christmas movies or decorate a christmas tree yeah i can't say i like it okay okay but are you not excited to give or at least receive a present it's not that important for me you have no idea how much a gift can mean to someone um i receive a lot of gifts that's the only part i like about holidays honestly my dad lives on vacation every year with his girlfriend and he gives me money on my credit card of course this is how i get myself a lot of presents so you're alone during the holidays oh no no no i'm with my mom but she's more busy forgetting the fact that my dad is not there you know she's super nice after a couple of glasses of wine you're the only one who likes christmas right me yeah yeah somehow okay i get it oh sure it looks like i got into that i got into the c c wh what is that from the club of people who hate christmas wow that's amazing you should never play guitar again emily yep i can't help but notice that you're still a little bit down do you mind if i ask why you and your boyfriend broke up to be completely honest with you i don't even know what do you mean i mean it just kind of came out of nowhere we were happy together we were even planning to go to college together and then one day he just sends me a text and says i don't think it's working out anymore wow you guys were getting really serious yeah or at least i thought we were i try so hard every day to forget them but i can't help but think what if maybe there was
