hello this video is going to cover three things for you first i will be addressing to people who want to quit their nine to five job and start a business of their own second i will be talking about my story with you four years ago i was in a job myself somewhere three to four years ago and finally started something of my own and doing it for the past three years now and lastly in the video we will be covering some practical sensible and brilliant ideas and tips for you how you can do it too now the question arises whether you should listen to me or you should not now of course i understand and i acknowledge that there are millions of other videos that you could be watching to help yourself with this issue of yours but why you should be listening to me and why i am probably one of the best people to guide you on this is because i have been on both sides of the table i've been in a job i've been in a business i know how the transition happens and how you can smooth that out for yourself so yeah if i were you i would listen to me i have spent days on creating this video for you there's a lot of brainstorming has that has gone into creating this for you why don't you spend a few minutes listening to me trust me my heart is bursting with joy right now there's so much of that i want to share with you let's get started to start with if you are that person who's happy in their job who is willingly doing what they're doing in their office you know what i really pray you remain so i pray that you do well there and you remain happy the way you are right now now for the people who do not want to do a job okay let's first address that this is how the world normally operates most of us do not have money to start the business right away this is how it was with me i didn't have a penny to start something of my own but this is how things normally happen we finish our studies and we move into a job but then you know how it happens is that we get suffocated we can actually feel something like this you know sas lena mushkilorai you know getting up and going to going to your office every day is difficult and every day it is difficult weekends are also not very happening because you know there's this fear okay monday is looming on our heads i understand that feeling i've been there probably the problem is not with the job it's not with the job the job is good the job is fine it's probably an issue with the person in it the person who's doing the job and that is you in this case i was the person in my case my jobs were very good every job that i did was probably a dream job for someone else but it wasn't suiting me i wasn't fitting in now there is this sad fact that there is an age attached with everything in the society we live in there's an age there's a number attached to everything something that was cool in 20s is absolutely not cool in 30s and something that is cool in 30s is a big no-no in 40s that's how people perceive their lives your life gets harsher as you're growing that puts us in a very difficult situation to be in time is running fast we need to run fast but in order to start something of your own you need to relax and think about what you have to do you have to plan and then you have to execute so time is running and you are running against time now coming on to my own story how it happened with me i was just like you everyone has the aspirations but on some general level we always find ourselves looking for societal validation which for sure is accomplished by many by finding a high paying job after doing my studies the next obvious step was to get a job i got one too but then but then that is where the sad reality hit me that you know was getting there i started with a job paying me 33 000 a month that was very long ago some eight years ago or so i don't remember some eight nine years ago 33 000 rupees a month which seemed pretty okay at that time i don't know if it is a good figure or not for you but it seemed okay to me i was happy moved to another job that started paying me some 42 43 000 rupees a month then i switched again i moved on to another one that paid me 56 000 rupees a month in hand so 56 000 seemed good for a single girl having no responsibilities as such it seemed good for me but then you know what there was this one thing that was common in all the jobs every single one of them that i did i felt like not doing it i didn't really enjoy it i had that feeling inside my heart every moment of the days i spent in my office that this is not where i belong this is not where i want to be there was this feeling and i didn't really know what to do because no i want i had to save money that was one thing that was always clear that i have to save money so that i can have some independence of my own some freedom of my own when you have money you're free to decide that's what i mean then eventually um you know what i i will not lie to you since i was so bad at everything that i did in my job i was fired several times not going to deny that it was very embarrassing initially but then i kind of got used to it i know how can you get used to getting fired but yeah i did kind of get uh used to it because that was my new normal now you may think why should i listen to a person who's so bad at something that they're getting fired again and again and again i was getting fired again and again probably because i was taking up jobs again and again and i always knew i will not be able to do it well but i needed money here how can i survive in a world like this without money why should you be listening to a person who gets fired from all these places it's because i was not useless i was not bad if i were bad how could i earn a degree as good as c i mean i'm a chartered accountant proves it that i am worth something i can do something well with my life i'm hard working otherwise why would i be a ca yeah that ensures that in in from my perspective it definitely ensures that i was not bad i was not worthless i was not useless it's just that i was i was a fish who was trying to climb the tree if you know the example if you know that coat you can't judge a fish with its capability to climb a tree because fishes are not meant to climb trees i was that fish i was spending my energy my time and effort in the wrong direction so eventually since nothing else was working out for me no normal job was working out for me i decided to start teaching in order to make some money uh to support my small expenses because teaching seemed like something i could do because i'm good at teaching you can ask my students there's a student of mine sagar he always comments on all my videos sagar tell everybody if i'm a good teacher or not my father is also a teacher my mother is also a teacher so we have that in our blood you know how i did that is a very interesting story i'll share that with you um i moved around on the roads i just entered a random coaching center and directly with no hesitation i just asked them for a job and he trusted me he said he came adam what can you teach i told him you know i can i can teach accountancy i can teach math so he said tk let's get you a job and i'm still so grateful for that opportunity it didn't earn me very well still i'm grateful for it because that's how things started falling in place for me teaching did shape my business it's it got me started with my business because it got me the money i truly truly needed i needed to pay off my emis a few last set of pmis i needed that money for that and that's how i was know she's already she's already there i just want to tell you how she did it so she started selling the products and she did it for four five months six months with the job then she started making money from her business so she quit her job having some savings for to last her for the next five or six months she quit her job and something you know something called luck hit her i don't know what happened and she was saying that you know i could not make one single sale for many months after quitting the job she started panicking caribbean business via chanaks what's happening with me but you know what she didn't quit somehow things happened uh she found some clients from the princely state of rajasthan some royals and that's how the business took off again and eventually the business got sold to tata and you know inspiring so that's how things happen i mean there's a lot of resistance from the society or sometimes your family doesn't understand they tell you what are you doing with your life you're screwing your life you will end up nowhere and stuff like that but you you know your heart knows what the heart wants and that's when you just keep going with it you will find some solace and some support maybe in your partner or your friends and maybe somebody in your family but that's how it is going to be it's going to be tough but you will manage if you know what you're doing and if you believe in it you will manage owning a business is super powerful there's a lot of power in a business i mean um you can't even imagine i mean there's at least 10 times what you can make what you're making from your job 10 times of that you can make in a business and probably 10 is a very small number be sure that once it starts to move on its own once it starts getting starts getting automated things are unstoppable and they are so rewarding and so satisfying i don't have words i'm speechless now let's talk about the practical angle of the video let's talk about what all you can and should do first thing on the list is creating a financial runway for yourself what is a financial runway imagine a runway and your plane is about to take off on the journey to become financially free and owning a business of your own okay so that financial runway is your savings i'm building a business but meanwhile i have some money to take care of my normal day-to-day expenses and the essentials and once the business takes off obviously you have money now the second point is whether to quit your job or not to quit your job both are good options quitting is not necessary in the beginning but if you quit you're cornered then you don't have options then you have to go all in you will put your heart blood sweat tears everything into building the business so then you are in a different frame of mind altogether but you need to understand that not quitting is also an option in the beginning okay that ensures that you have inflow of income coming in yeah you have some money coming in your bank account it keeps you at peace i've done it both ways i have done it with the job initially and i tell you that sooner or later if you are doing your business thing seriously one day you will end up losing your job either they will kick you out or you will kick yourself out because you can't do the two things together for very long you have to obviously decide that for yourself because for many of you you have responsibilities on your head you can't quit right away neither am i advising that create financial runway and only then quit okay uh moving on to the point number three associating with the right people now this is my favorite point on the list associating with the right people i'm telling you no business can get started unless you find the correct kind of people to surround yourself with i mean that if i want to start a factory i need the people who know how to make the equipment that i need in my factory if i want to start a business of sandals i need artisans to do that for me who has expertise in that domain you people you need people you can't do it without people now finding those right kind of people is either through linkedin or you can make some phone calls or you can just in my case i was just roaming around on the roads just get out of your house start looking for people physically do that get out of the house now next point is very important again what i want to say is that just start okay one or two very small steps that can be taken today take them today planning is a rabbit hole i've seen people spending their lives planning what they're going to do but you know planning is easy because you don't need to get up from the bed planning is a rabbit hole do not engage in it for very long just take those one or two tiny steps today to get started emis are a killer please do not have too many emis on your head if you want to do something with your life you have to keep a check on your expenses in the beginning emis credit cards they are a killer i don't like them i don't know how to say it emis emis emis are violence don't create that violence in your life don't expect fast results and i'll say don't even expect results i still make videos just ensuring that i will enjoy making the video no results are not in my control all i can do is put in my heart and my soul and that's what i always do i always do it i will not shoot a video even if i have time unless i am in the right kind of frame of mind results will come eventually when you keep doing the thing that thing that you're good at over and over again results are bound to come in your first sale is the most important sale it gives you a proof of concept that there is a demand for the product that you're creating your product was worth their money that means your product has some power now you have to plan around it you have to see how to improve it how to make it sell for a better price point that is something that happens on the way you can't be knowing everything on the day one now next is online selling your stuff online online is first of all safe second it saves you money but online is not the only option online has opened up this pandora box for you there are innumerable opportunities i have myself hired my thumbnail maker my editor my subtitle writer everybody from fiverr and these are some brilliant guys by the way you get such talented people on sites like these you can register yourself there learn from youtube and sell your services online those sites work i know they work because i'm myself paying on those sites freelancing freelancing is a great thing to engage in to support your business no i do two things i teach and i make videos so teaching is something i still do because what are these videos i'm teaching on these videos right and teaching was something that i started my business with i started teaching to support my business yeah so that is something that you could be doing too and lastly learning keep learning because learning learning new skills and you know it ensures that you're always up to date you are relevant you stay relevant because world is learning if you stop learning you get obsolete you don't want to be obsolete there's so much we've talked about in the video today i'm so glad i did this one for you because this was something that was in my heart for so long i feel very passionately about it i feel that it has um it has some it has the power to give you freedom with your life sit down relax decide what you would really want to do with your life there's a lot of resistance that comes from the society i know it's it's not going to happen naturally you'll have to fight against it i mean i remember my starting days i was hiding a lot of things i did not tell my own family that i have left my job and it was a good job i mean they didn't want me to leave it i know it's very difficult and there's a lot that you have to listen to and there's a lot that there's a lot of self-doubt that you have to face but again what option do you have if that is what your heart wants meet new people visit new areas find out with answers to all the problems that you're facing on the way because there are solutions available probably not in your site right now you can't see them right now move a little forward and your area of visibility also increases find out the right kind of contacts who are those people those few four or five people that can actually help you not the ones who talk not the talkers the doers how to find out if a person is a talker or a doer it sparkles from their personality you will be able to recognize it in the first meeting the moment you talk to a doer you will be able to see it from their personality it will reflect i wish i pray that
